You Have Dan Aykroyd's Word - Ghostbusters 3 Is Happening!

However, he can't promise you that all of the original stars will be back.

This morning, Dan Aykroyd called in to Dennis Miller's radio show to talk about the high-anticipated third installmenet of the Ghostbusters. Rumors have be swirling about it, teases from the actors have pulled at our heartstrings, but according to Dan, Ghostbusters 3 will go into production next year. Thing is, it might happen without Bill Murray, who hasn't shown that much enthusiasm for the project. Dan explained:

"Yes, we will be doing the movie and hopefully with Mr. Murray. That is our hope. We have an excellent script. What we have to remember is that 'Ghostbusters' is bigger than any one component, although Billy was absolutely the lead and contributive to it in a massive way, as was the director and Harold [Ramis], myself and Sigourney [Weaver]. The concept is much larger than any individual role and the promise of 'Ghostbusters 3' is that we get to hand the equipment and the franchise down to new blood."

Ah, yes. The next generation. The passing of the baton ... or the Proton pack, if you will.

While we are looking forward to seeing who gets the estemed honor of being on call when there is something strange in your neighborhood, we're equally as interested to know what's been going on with the original fab four the last decade or so. Dan actually was kind enough to hint at what's to come, saying:

"My character, Ray, is now blind in one eye and can't drive the cadillac," he says, "He's got a bad knee and can't carry the packs... Egon is too large to get into the harness. We need young blood and that's the promise. We're gonna hand it to a new generation."

LOL! Ray's a pirate now? Is that what's happening?! HA!

Sounds like so far, so good, though we can't stand by that too much without know who will be a part of the next generation.

Officials Say Hurricane Irene Forcing N.Y. Transit System To Close On Saturday

Officials are saying that Hurricane Irene is about to lose it's mind on NYC, so they're calling for the N.Y. transit system to probably close by noon on Saturday.

Officials said the subway shutdown was prompted mainly by wind calculations that suggested the hurricane could endanger subway cars where they run above ground. The commuter rail lines that serve Long Island, Westchester County and Connecticut will also be shut down, as will commuter rail lines — but not buses — in New Jersey.

Not only that, but there has been a mandatory evacuation order passed down by Bloomberg:

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg ordered a mandatory evacuation — something he said the city had never done before — of coastal areas in Brooklyn; Queens, including all of the Rockaways; and Staten Island, along with Battery Park City and the financial district in Lower Manhattan and Governor's Island. The evacuation covered 250,000 people who, he said, should get out before the storm swept in.

"You only have to look at the weather maps to understand how big this storm is and how unique it is," the mayor said at a news conference, "and it's heading basically for us."

"If you're in its way," he said, "it's a lot more powerful than any of us."

Everyone has to stay safe in NY. Don't do anything risky, take the proper precautions. Risking your life is not worth it.

Even half a dozen bridges are in danger of closing if the winds reach a certain speed!

This is no joke guys. Be smart, and be safe!!

Now that Lindsay Lohan has somehow managed to dilute herself into believing that she's a modern day Marilyn Monroe, it's no surprise that the hard-pAArtying actress Tweeted a picture from a recent photoshoot in which she's dressed, yet again, like the icon.

"@joycebonelli shoot..... the most amazing, introspective experience. #bestmakeupartist ever along the lines of the saint #paulstar"

Sorry, honey, but again, let us remind you - you've had nothing in common with Marilyn other than a drug habit.

By your school of thought, that means that a good portion of Hollywood is in your shoes!

Congratulations! Now let's move on, shall we?

Maybe, you know, to bettering yourself so you can pick the shattered pieces of your career and somehow attempt to work again?

Barbarian Flash Mob Baptizes "Marcus Bachmann" To Lady GaGa's Born This Way

A barbarian horde was spotted outside of Michele and Marcus Bachmann's "gay conversion" clinic. The flash mob protest was inspired by Marcus Bachmann's comment that gays are "barbarians who need to be disciplined."

Wow. Just wow.

The "horde" stood outside the office, chanting, "You can't pray away the gay, baby I was born this way!"

Finally, "Marcus" confronted the horde, trying to pray away their gay. As one would expect, the barbarian horde didn't submit. They instead began a fabulously choreographed dance to Lady GaGa's Born This Way then baptized him in glitter. This of course led "Marcus" to join their ranks.

One of the even organizers, Nick Espinosa, said:

"Let's be clear: Marcus Bachmann is the practitioner of an unhealthy, unscientific and dangerous practice. It seems all too convenient that the minute Michele Bachamann becomes a candidate for President Marcus starts making a desperate attempt to walk back his previous statements."

Well said!

It's hard to believe bigots like them could end up in the white house.

Yesterday, Salma Hayek was spotted with her husband Francois Pinault and their kids Francois Jr, Mathide and Valentina, checking in at LAX. The brood is jet-setting out to Paris for a little R&R as a family!

This is some seriously exciting news!

Stevie Nicks made her much-anticipated appearance this morning on Good Morning America this morning, and while doing so, teased something that we have dreamt about for many years - and we're sure we're not alone!

The iconic singer revealed that she and her former Fleetwood Mac bandmates are not only considering a reunion tour, but also a new album!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Couple that with the brilliant idea that Hunter S. Thompson had and you get The Rum Diary!

We're really excited about seeing this, and no, it's NOT just because of Johnny Depp, although that's a definite plusPLUSplus!

Amber Heard is starring too, and we just looove that woman.

Also, it's a story from Hunter S. Thompson! Of course it's going to be crazy fun.
