Ginuwine EXCITED To Hit The Stage In NYC + Nick Cannon HUGS IT OUT With Everyone!

R&B singer Ginuwine performed a concert in NYC last night and judging from his facial expressions, the brother was very happy to be performing in NYC.  See his pics inside and watch Nick Cannon attempt to break the world record for the most hugs....

 

Ginuwine was in concert in NYC last night at BB King's Bar & Grill.

Looks like he was extra excited about performing songs from his Elgin album.

You can also catch him on BET's tribute to Aaliyah on Aug. 25th at 8pm.

Nick Cannon was spotted at Citi Field yesterday attempting to break the world record for hugging.  

Nick and his "Rollin with Nick Cannon Morning Show" crew were out hoping to hug 1,800 people to beat the world record set by Nick Vujicic, who doled out 1,749 hugs at Oregon's Deschutes County Expo Center on September 25, 2010.

On his offical website he announced, "I am going to make HISTORY!" 

 


 

 

LOL.  Nick hasn't announced if he surpassed his goal.  Stay tuned.....

DINNER IN LONDON: Rihanna Gets Mellow In Yellow At Nozomi

A night out in London for Rihanna consists of fans swarming your every move and demanding autographs.  But Rih took it in stride as she dined out at Nozomi restuarant with her bestie Melissa.

BLAME THE LOCKOUT: NBA Baller Delonte West Attempts A Rap Career

Since the lockout is still in order, NBA ballers are doing all kinds of crazy ish to pass the time.  Even trying out different careers.  The newest victim of the "I'm a baller so OBVIOUSLY I can rap too" school of thought is Delonte West.    Yes, LeBron's ex-teammate believed to have chopped down Bron's mama.

Deep sigh.  Celtics baller Delonte--who is now going by the rap name of Charlee Redz (Redz is tatted on his arm)--is about to drop an album called The Lockout.  And his first single is "Living Fast Life."  Peep the foolery below:

Delonte, who made over $4 millie in 2009 with the Cavs, also filled out a Home Depot application recently and tweeted:

"It's official. Pride 2 the side. Just filled out a application at Home Depot. Lockout ain't a game.  Can't even go get that overseas money. Judge said it's a no go on leaving the country."

Terri J. Vaughn, Angie Stone and Jasmine Guy were among the celebs spotted in the ATL last night for the granding opening of the Green Room Lounge.  See the fab pics inside....

 

Last night, Terri J. Vaughn hung out with an extra slim Jasmine Guy at the grand opening of the Green Room Lounge in Atlanta.  Terri co-owns the lounge which "pays homage to vintage Hollywood, fusing together unique light bites, a bookstore, and a performance area all encased in a unique, relaxed atmosphere."

Terri also posed with Shannon K. Nash and actress Lisa Arrindell Anderson.

Angie Stone came out to support.  Wonder what she's been up to.

Malinda Williams was there rocking a cute natural look.

Then Malinda posed with actor Clifton Powell and The CIO Of Bobbcat Flims, Roger Bobb.  Roger is also a co-owner.

MORE DEETS: Teairra Mari Attacked A Police Officer During DUI Arrest?!

TheYBF.com was the first to tell you about Teairra Mari's DUI bust earlier today, and now more deets have emerged about the arrest...including that she attacked one of the arresting officers!  Deets inside...

 

Lottery Ticket actress Teairra Mari was pulled over around 3am in Beverly Hills after her silver Infiniti rear-ended another vehicle.

According to TMZ, Teairra showed obvious "signs of intoxication" with one witness saying she was "....really messed up...she couldn't even stand."

But it gets worse because at some point during the arrest, it's alleged that Teairra attacked one of the officers resulting in a minor cut on his hand. Attacking an LAPD officer? That's bold.

Teairra was charged with DUI, as we reported earlier, as well as assault on a police officer and is still in custody with bail set at $50K.

FIRST FAM VACAY: The Obamas Chill Out In Martha's Vineyard

Time for a break from all the heat and hoopla the White House has been involved in lately. President Obama and the First Family headed to Martha's Vineyard for the weekend.  Mr. President, First Lady Michelle, Sasha, & Malia were all spotted out and about in the town and around their rented estate.

President O and daughters Sasha and Malia were all spotted buying some goodies at Bunch of Grapes bookstore today.  The fam left out yesterday via Air Force 1--along with First Dog Bo--and plan to stay for 10 days.

Mrs. Obama was spotted leaving out on her way to the Vineyard--she and the girls left a few hours ahead of the President and Bo.

In a recent interview with CNN, the President claimed progress on the current economic and unemployment catastrophe was being made. He said:

'When I came into office, I knew I was going to have a big mess to clean up and, frankly, the mess has been bigger than I think a lot of people anticipated at the time.  We have made steady progress on these fronts, but we're not making progress fast enough. 'Ultimately, the buck stops with me. I'm going to be accountable. 'I think people understand that a lot of these problems were decades in the making. 'People understand that this financial crisis was the worst since the Great Depression. 'But, ultimately, they say, look, he's the president, we think he has good intentions, but we're impatient and we want to see things move faster.

He's set to reveal his new plan for unemployment in September.

Houston rapper Slim Thug, who turns 31 in a couple weeks, decided to go get another big ass tattoo last night.  And while we get rappers love to "put on for their city" and all....this ish just seems 10 years too late.  And unnecessary.

Toni Braxton Set For A BROADWAY Return?

While she and her sisters return to reality tv this fall, Toni Braxton will be performing on Broadway, this according to sources.  Deets inside on the fab Braxton chick's next career move...

Toni B. first graced Broadway with her voice in 1998 as "Belle" in Beauty & the Beast.  Then again 10 years later as Aida.  Now the 44-year-old singer, the eldest of the Braxton clan, is reportedly set to return in Chicago next year.  And she'll probably play the lead role of "Roxie Hart."

Toni's fan site reported a few days ago that she would likely return to the stage.  Then we received a tip today, from a source employed by The Ambassador Theater in NYC, that the theater is already fielding calls from fans looking to pre-purchase tickets. 

"Of course, management won't confirm nor deny, which leads me to believe that it's true. It's the talk of the theatre," says the source.

We're also told that Toni and her estranged husband Keri Lewis (odd, right?) took an after hours tour of the theater together  recently.  Very interesting.

By the way, Toni will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on September 17th in Atlanta.

Beyonce's wrapping up her last of 4 intimate nights at Roseland Ballroom tonight.  And the first part of a behind-the-scenes docu-vid hit the net showing how her band and musical directors prepared for her sold-out "4 Nights With Beyonce" event.

Beyonce's guitarist BiBi says in the video that Bey is finally doing what she wants to do.  Not what everyone else wants her to do, which is great.  So 4 is her favorite project so far. 

The band and directors prepare for showcasing Bey's entire album by "getting things tight" before Mrs. Knowles even gets to rehearsals.  You can catch of glimpse of Bey heading into the venue at the very end.  Check it...

ARRESTED! TEAIRRA MARI POPPED FOR DRUNK DRIVING!

TheYBF.com has learned that singer Teairra Mari was arrested last night in Beverly Hills for drunk driving.  The 23-year-old party girl was pulled over and later taken into custody.

The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed to TheYBF.com that Lottery Ticket actress and "Make Her Feel Good" singer Teairra Mari was arrested last night for drunk driving and is currently in custody.

A press release and bail information will be sent out at 11AM PST.
