Last night, Lance and Toccara hosted Strength of Nature's African Pride Haircare Relaunch Party. The event was held at the King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta.
Toccara and Lance kept the energy at the event going. T is looking fantabulous these days. Great dress for her.
She looked pretty in blush pink.
And Lance rocked some vintage stonewashed jeans and looked yummy while doing so. He posed with his "House of Payne" co-star Keisha Knight Pulliam. Hey Keisha! Derek J of "RHOA" stopped by to show support in his extremely snug skinny jeans.
And recording artist Dondria looked fab as she hit the stage and entertained the crowd.
And over on the west coast...
They are so one of my favorite couples. Vanessa Williams looked gorgeous. She also sang at the event.
Taye Diggs belted out a few tunes. He attended with his wife Idina Menzel.
And actress Audra Mcdonald also came out to help raise money for the worthy cause. Fab times. Photos via WireImage/RDiamond/Merritt/Getty Images |

Next Member RL Blasts Jagged Edge For Dissing Him During Photo-Op Posted: 17 Mar 2011 04:36 AM PDT RL, the lead singer of Next, is putting a member of Jagged Edge on blast for dissing him after a concert performance in Atlanta. Watch video of RL breaking down the incident and talking about the negativity behind the scenes in hip hop music inside...
R&B singer RL is putting one of the twins from Jagged Edge on blast for dissing him during a photo-op after ATL LIVE ON STAGE. In an interview captured below, RL says a member of Jagged Edge (he thinks it was Kyle) refused to take a picture with him, saying, "Man...I can't even fake it." RL says the rude comment upset him because he sees bands like The Rolling Stones out on tour and making money together, but some hip hop and R&B artists are shady to each other behind the scenes. The "Too Close" singer went onto say that he is a fan of Jagged Edge and there is no need for African American artists to work against each other.
Watch RL talking about the diss and calling for harmony amongst artists here: Not gonna lie...this shouldn't have been funny because his message was for real. But it was funny.... |

YBF EXCLUSIVE: L.A. Reid Set To Judge U.S. "X-Factor", Leaving Def Jam For Sony?! Posted: 16 Mar 2011 10:12 AM PDT TheYBF.com has exclusively learned that L.A. Reid is indeed set to become Simon Cowell's first pick for one of four judged for the new U.S. "X-Factor."
And that's not all. He's switching up his other day job as head of a major record company-- in a major way. Details when you read on... Simon Cowell is bringing his other mammoth UK singing competition tv show, "X-Factor," here to the U.S. this fall. And insiders connected to the show tell us producers are heavily interested in the current Def Jam head honcho L.A. Reid to be one of the 4 judges. They believe this will be the major move that will establish L.A. as a household name. While Simon's Fox shows "American Idol" and "X-Factor" are similar in nature, "X-Factor" differs because each of the four judges mentor a group of contestants throughout the season. And the judges do everything in their power to make sure the winner of the entire competition comes from their group. There have been speculations for months that L.A. was being scouted for the position. Now, we're told L.A.'s new job is a done deal, but it's being kept on the hush because there are issues with him currently working for a competing label.
We broke the story months ago that Mr. Reid was getting ousted at Def Jam. So why did it take this long for him to make a move? Anyone who really knows this industry knows that companies and those who run them always want to save face. So waiting a bit for the hoopla to die down before making a major move is the best bet. Here's the deal: Sony is the record company associated with "X-Factor." Since L.A. is currently the President of its competitor, Def Jam, insiders tell us it's a must that he makes a move. JIVE Records and Epic Records (both in the Sony family) have Presidency openings as the most recent Presidents from both companies have left. So it seems like the likely choice... The "X-Factor" auditions kick off in the next couple weeks. So we expect an announcement to be made before or during that time. Just remember...you heard it here FIRST! |

Music icon Janet Jackson has set her sites on nailing an exclusive deal in the movie industry. Get the deets on Janet's new deal with Lionsgate, plus find out why Bill Cosby snapped off on Russell Simmons inside...
Janet Jackson has signed a new production deal with Lionsgate to select, develop and produce a feature film. When asked about the project, Janet said,
Mike Paseornek, Lionsgate President of Motion Picture Production and Development, agrees with Janet and says the studio is very excited to work with her.
Congrats Janet. Looks like she's taking a page out of her homie Tyler Perry's book.
And in celebrity feud news:
Bill Cosby is not a fan of Russell Simmons. Page Six reports that during the Jackie Robinson Annual Awards Dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria last week, Bill told Russell Simmons to "get the [bleep] out of my face." SMH. Isn't it hard to imagine Dr. Huxstable using those words? Funny as hell though. So where does this beef come from? The NY Post says the two icons has been beefing since 2009 when Russell criticized Bill's "State of Emergency" campaign promoting socially conscious rap music. Russell took issue with Bill telling young folks how to express their music and words and that upset Bill. Russell approached Bill at the dinner saying, "I wanted to find him to apologize, to tell him I was sorry about my statements and to tell him that I loved him." But then....Mr. Cosby said, "Get the [bleep] out my face!" And if that wasn't enough, Russell says Bill "walked by me and bumped me with his shoulder as I walked offstage after presenting my award to Sean [Combs, who was honored at the event] . . . I then loved him even more." Who knew Bill was gangsta like that? He will curse you out and throw bows all at the same time. Gotta love it. |
