Those clever folks at Next Media Animation have taken the recent incident where actor Jake Gyllenhaal was met with a rogue amateur photographer in a men’s restroom at South by Southwest in Austin, TX who tried to snap a photo of him while he was urinating and turn it into an entertaining animated video … which you can watch in full below.


To be honest, this particular video isn’t quite as entertaining as some of the others we’ve seen before … but it’s not bad. The shot of Jake‘s banana actually make me LOL, for real. Check out the clip below and see if YOU find it entertaining:

A Royal Wedding ‘Knit’ For A King

With only a few weeks left until the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton, those of you who like to knit can learn how to make your own set of dolls so that you can have your own Royal Wedding party in your own home. With just a few bundles of yarn, knitting needles and a new book of instructions titled Knit Your Own Royal Wedding, you can make your own set of Royal Wedding characters as featured below.

If you're needled about not being invited to the royal wedding, don't despair – for now you can knit yourself there. Among the wealth of tea towels, printed plates and specially forged coins, this unusual souvenir kit has emerged, featuring knitting patterns for ten 'characters' from William and Kate's nuptials. These include the bride and groom, the Queen and Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. And, of course, the corgis. Plus, with extra patterns provided for 'guests', patriotic needleworkers can knit themselves into the April 29 party. The designs are in a £9.99 book by Fiona Goble – whose previous efforts include Knitivity, a make-your-own nativity handbook – but the wool to create the whole set will cost around £80. Other 'characters' include Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Harry and each takes around five hours to make – if you know what you're doing. Amateurs are warned that the designs' intricate details – such as Kate's diamante engagement ring and the jewels on her slippers – may cause them to drop a few stitches. All the characters' uniforms have been carefully researched and they are perfectly in height proportion, but the author did have to take a gamble on the bride's dress – as no one yet knows what Kate's gown will look like. Mrs Goble said the bride-to-be's features were the most difficult to imitate. 'Kate was the hardest for me to create because she is pretty,' she said. 'They're not supposed to be caricatures. Some of the others have more obvious features. Harry was the easiest – he has small eyes and a long face. And Rowan Williams because he has very distinctive wild hair and glasses.' If you're a novice knitter the easiest character to make is Harry, she advises – but the corgis are tough because of their 'tiny legs'. And although Mrs Goble acknowledges the wool is expensive, she says sourcing it in charity shops is half the fun. 'If you have to scavenge for it, you get much more into the make-do-and-mend spirit of the project,' she said. Souvenir-makers launched into action immediately after the announcement of the engagement, mindful that memorabilia of the 1981 Royal nuptials remain highly sought by collectors. Experts estimated the wedding could boost the struggling British economy by £620million through sales of merchandise and tourism. For those eschewing more traditional souvenirs, in the wake of the announcement, shoppers on TV channel QVC could choose a similar design to Kate’s diamond and sapphire engagement ring – but for an eminently more affordable price tag, of under £35. These are amazing. Now, I couldn’t knit to save my life but I would LOVE a set of these cute little dolls. I am just really loving all of the fun Royal Wedding memorabilia that we have been seeing the past few weeks. I’m sure the stuff won’t stop coming until well after the Prince and his lady say their I Dos. I just hope we continue to see fun, inventive things like this. Jon Bon Jovi Blames Steve Jobs For ‘Killing’ The Music Industry

Jon Bon Jovi, frontman of the 80′s hair band Bon Jovi, gave an interview to The Sunday Times Magazine wherein he placed blame squarely on Apple president Steve Jobs for the death of the music industry. According to Bon Jovi, Jobs is directly responsible for “killing” the music industry with the creation of iTunes and believes that future history will look back and agree with him that Steve Jobs is/was responsible for the death of the music industry as we know it.

Jon Bon Jovi has taken aim at Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, accusing him of “killing” the music industry with iTunes. The rocker is saddened that children no longer enjoy the “magical” experience of buying records in a high street store because of the ease of downloading individual tracks onto an iPod. And he lays the blame for the generational shift in music-buying at the feet of technology mogul Jobs. Bon Jovi tells The Sunday Times Magazine, “Kids today have missed the whole experience of putting the headphones on, turning it up to 10, holding the jacket, closing their eyes and getting lost in an album; and the beauty of taking your allowance money and making a decision based on the jacket, not knowing what the record sounded like, and looking at a couple of still pictures and imagining it. “God, it was a magical, magical time. I hate to sound like an old man now, but I am, and you mark my words, in a generation from now people are going to say: ‘What happened?’ Steve Jobs is personally responsible for killing the music business.”

With all due respect, Jon, no you are completely wrong. If anyone is responsible for the death of the music industry it’s the greedy record companies that have been gouging consumers for years when they had complete control of how music was sold and distributed to buyers. Do you remember the days when CDs cost upwards of $18.00 each for only about 10 songs? If you wanted a particular set of songs from your fave artist, you had to pay the prices set by the record industry from the top. With the invention of the CD burner and Napster in the late 90′s, the power of music distribution slowly changed hands from the record companies to the consumer him/herself. The music industry as it exists should die, because it is an antiquated and sad means of getting music to the people. I will agree with Bon Jovi regarding the “magic” of buying record albums and enjoying the album artwork as much as the music contained on the disc but if the record companies hadn’t been gouging consumers for so long, if they had embraced digital media early on, they might’ve been able to save themselves. Now, it’s too late. The real power now resides with the artist themselves … artists now have the power to create, package and sell their own music on their own terms. No, the practice is not yet universal but it will be, in our lifetime I’m sure. IMHO, Bon Jovi is pointing the finger of blame at the wrong person. What do YOU think?

Liz Hurley Surfaces On The Set Of ‘Wonder Woman’

Principal filming of the new David E. Kelly TV series Wonder Woman, which will premiere on NBC in the Fall, has begun here in SoCal. Today we get to see photos of actress Elizabeth Hurley on the LA set of the show earlier today. Check out a couple photos of Liz lookin’ fierce as Hell on the WW set today.


Apparently, Hurley will play a character named Veronica Cale but, at this point, we don’t know exactly how she will relate to Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the show. To my knowledge, there have been no sightings of lead actress Adrianne Palicki on set just yet but … I’m sure she will surface soon enough. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m very worried about this new version of Wonder Woman will turn out. But, I’m totally reserving judgment until I get to see the iconic heroine in action on the show. I like that Liz Hurley is on the show … I can’t wait to find out of she will be friend or foe to Wonder Woman.

Courteney Cox Does ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

Courteney Cox(-Arquette) is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine and in her coverstory interview, she opens up about her estrangement from hubby David Arquette and she goes out of her way to defend him and his actions. She also opens up about rumors that she is dating her co-star Brian Van Holt and she not only denies the relationship but she makes it clear that she’s not even in a place where she wants to date right now. Courteney Cox graces Harper’s Bazaar’s April cover, and in the interview, she opens up for the first time about her separation from husband David Arquette, reflects on her family, career, and marriage. The April issue of Harper's Bazaar hits newsstands March 29.

On her estranged husband, David Arquette: "You can't really get mad at David because he's not a malicious person," she says. "He was dealing with things the best way he could. And don't get me wrong, he was on a show for entertainment. David is smart, and David is also a showman. He knew what he was doing." She pauses. “I don't know what's going to happen, but I don't think he'll be doing more Howard Stern any time soon. He's not out to harm. But I'm his biggest protector. I can't help it."

On some level, Courteney attributes the root of her marital struggles to her own pathos: "The thing is, when you get older, it's more about compatibility than it is about love," she says thoughtfully. "I think it's more about needing just a kind of peace and stillness. I'm kind of all over the place, and I need grounding. I want to be calm. I want to change a lot. I want to live not outside but inside. It's nothing with David; it's just what I'm searching for."

Their seven-year age gap—Courteney is 46 to David's 39—doesn't register to her as the crux of their issues, however: "Most guys aren't that mature, are they? They just don't think the way we think." She does admit, "I thought I had always been a little bit of a cougar with David." "I don't find the whole cougar word that offensive," she says. "And also, a cougar is someone who takes care of herself and goes out with younger guys. She doesn't need a man to take care of her."

On rumors of an affair with her Cougar Town costar Brian Van Holt, gossip she flatly denies: “He’s a really good friend of mine, so I don’t care,” says Courteney. “It just doesn’t matter. He’s a great guy, and he’s definitely been a part of my support system.”

Courteney can’t see herself diving into the dating pool any time soon: “I have no desire right now,” she admits. “I’m not saying never. It just seems weird. I don’t even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I really don’t like to go out. I’m not great at small talk. I like to go to dinner with people. I don’t like to go to parties. There’s a sign on my forehead: EXITING SOCIAL LIFE, ENTERING INTO ISOLATION.”

Justin Bieber Gets Waxed In London

Last month we learned that Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum was planning to create a waxwork statues of popstar Justin Bieber that will go on display in their NYC, London and Amsterdam locations. Today we get to see photos of the Biebs at this morning’s wax statue unveiling in London, England. In the photos below, it seems plainly (and oddly) clear that Justin is really in love with his new wax statue. Like, really in love with it. Check out the photos below.


It’s funny to see celebs standing side-by-side next to their waxen tributes but nothing really out of the ordinary. What is not the norm is to see photos of the celebs manhandling their wax statues in such a way as to … well … look really enamored by the statue:


I mean, get a room you two. It seems pretty clear to me that Justin Bieber greatly approves of the wax statue of him that is now on display in London, England. It looks pretty lifelike, don’t you think? I can’t wait to see what the other statues on display in NYC and Amsterdam will look like. What do y’all think? Do you like this wax version of the Biebs?

Peter Murphy Casts A Spell On LA

Despite the fact that David and I returned home from Berlin > NYC late Sunday night, I had procured a ticket to see Peter Murphy live in concert here in LA last night and there was no way I was gonna miss the show. Normally, when I return home from traveling, I hole myself up in my apartment and refuse to come out for a few days. BUT, I really wanted to see Peter live in concert so … to the Mayan Theater I went last night.


I saw Peter Murphy at South by Southwest in Austin, TX 2008 but the last time I saw him perform live on stage was when he appeared as surprise guest performer for the final NYC NIN shows back in 2009. I’ve been a fan for many years but this was the first time I got to see a full concert from the man. He is such a great performer, very talkative, very spirited and he still sounds fantastic! I managed to record his entire performance of Cuts You Up, which you can watch in full below:


Altho the show ran late (with 2 long encores) and despite the fact that I was dead tired, I had a great time and I’m so glad I made my way out to see his show last night.

Tonight, David and I are planning on seeing Battle: Los Angeles so … we’ll see if that actually happens. I may want to hibernate tonight but … the weather is so nice and warm here this week, I might not want to waste it. I hope your Tuesdays are going well. Is it the weekend yet?

Apparently unsatisfied with merely being annoying on reality TV, Nicole Snooki Polizzi took her Jersey Shore shtick to WWE Monday Night Raw last night to try her hand at professional wrestling. Despite the fact that little Snooki only came up to her opponent’s boobs, she still managed to wrestle like a little demon … which is the strongest evidence yet that professional wrestling is fake. Snooki fistpumped her tiny, angry knuckles into another woman’s face during her wrestling debut on “WWE Monday Night Raw” last night … but she’s not done yet, Snook is taking her talents to WrestleMania! The “Jersey Shore” star transformed into 57 inches of pure, unadulterated RAGE — as she attacked the members of the Lay-Cool lady tag-team using a ferocious airborne crotch bomb … followed by that typical girl-on-girl hair-pulling, head slamming move. After the dust settled, Snooki was challenged to a three-on-three co-ed brawl at WrestleMania in April … and she accepted! It’s on, bitches.

Okay … Snooki on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, I don’t agree with. Snooki pretending to be a professional wrestler, I can deal with. She’s such a little clown, she is perfect for the profession. I say, Snooki ditch your reality TV gig and stick with wrestling. It’s a very good look for you ;) What do y’all think? Matthew McConaughey Is A Great Stretcher

Fitness fiend Matthew McConaughey went out for a jog in Malibu, CA yesterday morning and decided to get in a little stretching action to loosen up his muscles from his rigorous workout. As you can see in the photos below, Matthew really knows how to stretch his body … you know, in order to take better care of his muscles and stuff.


You’ve got to really admire a guy who is so … flexible. Flexibility in a man is rare but highly coveted. Keep on stretchin’, Matty … it’s a really good look for you ;)

Emma Watson Is The New Face Of Lancôme

Great news Emma Watson fans, homegirl has just been named the new celebrity spokesmodel for the Lancôme Cosmetics and Skin Care company! As you may know, Emma has already been named the face of British fashion house Burberry so she’s already well schooled in product endorsements. This week, Emma was spotted on a set in Paris, France filming her first ad campaign for Lancôme … check out the photos below.

The Harry Potter star, 20, announced the news via Twitter Monday morning after leading followers through a series of clues over the weekend. ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ Releases A First Movie Poster

Previously we’ve seen a first movie trailer, a few promo photos and even a magazine cover … but today we finally get to check out the first official poster released for this Spring’s much-anticipated sequel film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. This first poster only features Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) but I suspect we’ll be seeing more character posters soon. Check out this first Pirates poster below.

The official one-sheet poster for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has shown up online, courtesy of IGN. The poster features Captain Jack Sparrow in all his glory with a great background scene, including the newly featured mermaids and a burning pirate ship. Is it Captain Jack’s ship? This time, Jack Sparrow is on a mission to find the fountain of youth. He encounters Blackbeard on his journey and quickly discovers Blackbeard is on the same quest along with his daughter. Johnny Depp returns as Jack Sparrow and Penelope Cruz joins the cast as Blackbeard’s daughter, Angelica. The movie opens in 3D, 2D, and IMAX 3D on May 20, 2011.

I like this poster. I never really think of Captain Jack Sparrow as a regal character but he deffo looks regal in this poster. Try as I might, I simply cannot resist the Pirates of the Caribbean films. I never really considered myself a fan of pirate lore but something about these movies are just fun to watch. I am actually really looking forward to On Stranger Tides. I can’t even believe we are just about 2 months away from the film’s release already. What do y’all think of the poster? Do you like?

Ryan Gosling Brings His Hotness & His Dog To Ann Arbor, MI

When last we saw photos of hottie actor Ryan Gosling, he was in Cincinnati, OH shooting the film The Ides of March with fellow actor George Clooney. Today we learn that production of the film has moved north to the beautiful State of Michigan as we check out new photos of Ryan on the Ides film set. Ryan and his pet pooch George (not co-star George) were spotted hanging out in Ann Arbor, MI on the campus of The University of Michigan together … check out the photos below.


Now, Gosling fans should know very well by now how much Ryan loves hit pet pooch George. The pair shared the spotlight in a cute photoshoot last year and we have frequently seen the two of them spending time together here in the glorious SoCal sun on walks. It’s no big surprise that Ryan would bring George along with him on extended stays away from home so it’s cute to see them together on the campus of U of M. Ann Arbor is a big dog city so George will be well taken care of there with lots of fun parks to run and play in. I am so happy to see Ryan Gosling and George Gosling enjoying all the things that A2 has to offer. Take care of the boys, Ann Arbor, ya hear?

Ryan Phillippe Says He Will Gladly Submit To A Paternity Test

This week a new paternity claim have been made against actor Ryan Phillippe by his model ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp who claims that he is the father of her incubating baby. Today we are hearing that Ryan is not only willing to take a paternity test to determine if he the father of Alexis‘s baby but will also step up to provide for the child should it be proven to be his. Ryan was all smiles here in Hollywood yesterday when he was photographed out in public (which is a very rare occurrence … her, the smiling, not the being out in public) so either he is really confident that he is not the father or he is really looking forward to being a dad again.

Ryan Phillippe will “gladly” take a DNA test to determine if he’s the baby daddy of a woman he had been seeing … this according to sources directly connected to Ryan. We’re told Ryan will not submit to the DNA test until the baby is born. There are prenatal paternity tests, but there’s a slight risk of miscarriage and Ryan does not want to take the chance. Our sources say Ryan will step up and provide support for Alexis Knapp’s unborn baby, provided it is indeed his. Although there are reports Ryan and Alexis were boyfriend/girlfriend, we’re told that was never the case. They had dated for a while but it was never serious. The baby is due in June.

You may recall that Ryan and Alexis were doing the do last Summer and were last spotted together here on the blog back in June. So, unless Ryan hooked up with Alexis more recently, he has nothing at all to worry about. As we know, Ryan has been romantically linked to actress Amanda Seyfriend for the past few months … so, yeah, it’s sounding like he will turn out NOT to be the babydaddy.

Charlie Sheen’s Porn Pal Kacey Jordan Tries To Commit Suicide

Back in January we learned from porn star Kacey Jordan the sordid details of what went down during Charlie Sheen‘s 36-hour drug-fueled porn party that led to his hospitalization and, eventually, his total mental meltdown (which continues to this day) in the media (resulting in his termination from the CBS hit sitcom Two and a Half Men). Last month, Kacey revealed that she was pregnant and suggested that Sheen could’ve been the father of her baby … but shortly thereafter, she updated the situation to report that she was no longer pregnant after she underwent a procedure. Since then, Kacey has been out of the news … until now. Chicago police report that Kacey tried to commit suicide last night but was, thankfully, unsuccessful.

Kacey Jordan — a porn star who partied with Charlie Sheen during his cocaine binge back in January — tried to kill herself last night … this according to police. Law enforcement sources tell us … the Chicago Police Department raced to the Peninsula Hotel around 6:51 PM last night after receiving calls from the hotel after Kacey twittered several suicidal messages … saying she had taken a bunch of pills and alcohol and was waiting to die. We’re told when cops got to the hotel, Kacey was sitting on her bed — with prescription pill bottles, broken glass and alcohol all over her room. Law enforcement sources tell us Jordan had cuts and scrapes to her wrists and arms … but insisted the suicide messages were merely a publicity stunt. While Kacey was talking to police, we’re told the porn star grabbed a corkscrew bottle opener … tried to run out of the room … and attempted to cut herself. Cops eventually subdued Kacey before she could further harm herself and took her to a nearby hospital for a mental evaluation. We’re told cops reported the incident as a non-criminal suicide attempt. No word on Jordan’s condition.

Wow, how sad it this? Undoubtedly there will be those who will make the claim that Kacey is only looking for headlines, looking for new attention with this suicide attempt but really, that is what all suicide attempts are at their core. It’s so incredibly sad to think that this young woman feels so little worth about herself that she would willingly try to end her life. Despite what anyone may think about Kacey, her profession and/or her behavior, no one deserves to feel so unworthy that they want to kill themselves. Let’s hope that Kacey Jordan gets the help that she needs, gets away from the vices that are trying to destroy her and is able to get her life in order.

Alyssa Milano Reveals The Sex Of Her Baby

Late last month we learned that actress Alyssa Milano and her hubby David Bugliari are expecting the birth of their firstborn child and a day later, Alyssa‘s baby bump made it’s red carpet debut at the premiere of Hall Pass here in Hollywood. Last night, Alyssa took to her official website to officially announce the sex of her baby and revealed that she is incubating a baby boy in her womb.

As fun as it was reading all of your gender predictions on Twitter, I'm really bad at keeping secrets and had to share (not to mention, I was bound to unintentionally slip at some point). David and I are elated to announce that we are having a baby boy.

We can't wait to meet him.

Awww … how cute. Alyssa, a self-professed Twitter-addict, said that she had to reveal the sex of her baby as soon as possible because she is terrible at keeping secrets. If you consider how much the lady tweets, well, it was prolly a smart move to just make the announcement and get the news out in the open. As you can see, Alyssa is soliciting the public for baby names … whether or not she will actually use one of them is anyone’s guess. That being said, I think it would be adorable if she named her son Wyatt Christopher in honor of her long-running TV series Charmed. Any ideas what YOU think Alyssa Milano should name her baby boy?
