GOSSIP BITS: Kimora Lee Simmons & Djimon Hounsou ON THE ROCKS?

Say it aint so!  Rumor has it that Kimora Lee Simmons has split from Djimon Hounsou and part of the "issue" was money.  Get the deets inside....

Today, the NY Daily News alleged that JustFab.com Creative Director Kimora Lee Simmons and her actor hubby Djimon Hounsou are headed toward a split, if they haven't split already.  A source close to the couple told the newspaper, “Djimon walked out on Kimora,” and they had a “big fight over money.”

The source said their money issues started when Russell Simmons stopped funding the pair’s lifestyle.  Kimora does seem to be downsizing as she has listed her $5.9M LA mansion for only $4.7M.  

But Kimora recently tweeted about her "alleged" financial issues saying, “Wow, I put 1 of several properties I own (+ DONT live in) on the market & now apparently my whole life is fallin apart?!” Rumors, Rumors ...”

And far as the breakup goes......responses have not been forthcoming.  When asked about a split, Kimora's spokeswoman said only that “Kimora has a beautiful family life.”  And Djimon's spokesperson said he was unavailable for comment because, “Djimon's been working in Vancouver for the past few months.”

Hmmm......

The source also added that “Kimora and Djimon were fighting on New Year’s Eve.  He is a calm, super-nice person and she’s such a diva.  I couldn’t believe they got together in the first place.”

If they have split, they won't be able to keep this quiet for very long.  We shall see.

Kim Zolciak CLAIMS She And Kroy Are Not Being EVICTED, Says Kendra Davis Just Wants ATTENTION!

Rumor has it that Kim Zolciak's landlord, Kendra Davis, is evicting her from the McMansion she's renting for her "Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding" reality show.  But Kim says it ain't so and they will be voluntarily moving.  Doesn't Kim always find a way with words to conveniently clear up some drama?  Just sayin'.  Get the deets on the rental drama inside.....

 

Kim Zolciak and her hubby Kroy Biermann are responding to rumors that they are being evicted from their home (by landlords Kendra Davis (who served as Kim's interior decorator and her husband) saying it's just a real estate deal gone sour.  You may remember that after Kim was confronted by Marlo Hampton at the "RHOA" reunion taping (and she previously alluded to buying a home--not renting one like she actually is) when Kim said that she and Kroy were in the process of buying the home featured on the show....but that ish went left.  

Kim and Kroy got pissy once they found out that the $3M home (sale price) was really valued at $2M and owners Kendra and Antonio Davis had "jacked" up the price.  I thought that was called making a profit....but whatever.

So after Kim and Kroy nixed the deal, they say Kendra started trashing them on Twitter.  Kim tweeted, Oh! So now I dont pay my rent LMAO...Ppl will say anything for attention. I know if ppl werent paying me Id have a lawyer not twitter court

 

As it stands now, the ladies ARE NOT friends and Kendra is ready for Kim and Kroy to move.  Kendra tweeted,

"Well she dreamed of trash until she realized she couldn't afford it! LOL. As long as she gets out I don't care what she says!"  She added, Truth always prevails! I'm going to continue to conduct business the way I always have. But be clear! It will all reveal it's self in time!

Kim and Kroy are still at the home and renting on a month-to-month basis as their lease was up May 31.  So clearly....this mess aint over.

Ciara Gets REVEALING At "That's My Boy" Premiere

It was a big day for Ciara yesterday as she dropped her brand new single "Sweat" and then attended her That's My Boy movie premiere.

Adam Sandler's That's My Boy premieres June 15. Ciara plays the role of "Brie" in the movie and she hit the red carpet with the star himself.

She rocked white pants and an open white blouse baring her cleavage.

Ciara also dished on her upcoming album producers this past Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards:

“Of course, the obvious, Tricky, he’s a part of my Epic family. We worked together,” Ciara told MTV News. “And Harvey and Damon, it’s our first time together and what we did was so special. They actually produced the title track, ‘One Woman Army,’ I can tell you that.”

She has also recruited some new talent. “I worked with some people that are very fresh, which I’m excited about,” she revealed. “When it comes to artists, when it comes to writers, when it comes to producers, I really wanted to push. We pretty much reached out and worked with a lot of people that I’ve never worked with before, which is really fun.”

Yep...the same Damon Thomas who is Ciara's sometimes bestie Kim Kardashian's ex husband.  Interesting....

Though they are set to wed next month, reality tv stars Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco have not nailed down a venue because...allegedly...no one wants them! Get the deets on their hotel issues inside.....

As reality stars Chad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozada film them wedding show "Ev & Ocho," producers have hit a snag since the fanciest hotels in Miami have all rejected the couple, according to TMZ.  

Places like the St. Regis, The Ritz and Breakers have all rejected the couples' request to host wedding festivities for fear of fighting, drinking tossing and putting a poor reflection on their establishments.  Womp Womp.

Perhaps the hotel owners didn't watch the "BBW" Reunion last night and see that Ev is trying to become "a better example."

The fashion lovers hit up last night's 2012 CFDA Awards in New York City.  Pics inside of Selita Ebanks, Solange Knowles, Zoe Saldana, Pharrell and more celebrating designers who deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments....

 

The Council of Fashion Designers of America hosted their 2012 Awards at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center last night.

The awards, sponsored by Swarovski, recognize the outstanding contributions made to American fashion by individuals from all areas of the industry and related arts, with awards being given for design excellence in womenswear, menswear and accessories as well as extraordinary accomplishments in journalism, creative vision and lifetime achievement.

Model Selita Ebanks, as the guest of Lubov Azria, looked stunning in a white Herve Leger by Max Azria gown.  Gives her curves so oomph and stands out against her bronzed skin tone:

Great look.

Solange kept it funky & fab in this yellow and white cleavage baring shift dress.

Loves the shoes and yellow is def her color.

Pharrell and his oiled up legs made an appearance to present an award in an interesting look.

Looks like he's blonde underneath that hat too.

Zoe Saldana graced the event in a black mesh cutout and chiffon gown from the Fall 2012 Collection of Prabal Gurung, as she was the designer's guest for the evening (pictured with her above).

Mr. Gurung wore custom Antonio Azzuolo.

Stylist June Ambrose, who celebrates her birthday today, shimmered in a long silver Chris Benz frock.  The hair is perfection for this look.

Designer Rachel Roy had a pink moment in her own 'Schiap' crepe back satin drape wrap gown, Manolo Blahnik shoes & Jennifer Fisher jewels with her date, triathlete Elettra Wiedemann.  Elettra rocked Rachel Roy head to toe of course with a winter rose silk crepe twist drape cut out gown, open toe metal sandals, and a Kotur for Rachel Roy tweed clutch.

 

Superbowl champ Victor Cruz was there.

Designer Tracey Reese looks like she's been on a workout plan.  Looking great.

And model Joan Smalls looked fab as usual in her Michael Kors hi-lo gown as she accompanied the designer himself.

For the first time ever, the full awards show will be broadcast tonight on Style.com.

Nicki Minaj & Funkmaster Flex GO AT IT About Summer Jam Debacle: "There Is No B*TCH Alive That Could Scare Me Out Of Performing!"

The drama came to a head tonight on Funkmaster Flex's Hot 97 show as Nicki Minaj called in guns a-blazing to discuss Sunday night's Summer Jam debacle.  Flex dropped a few bombs about not understanding why she's under Lil Wayne's spell and allowed him to control whether she would perform.  Nicki maintained that neither Flex nor Rosenberg should have disrespected her on a worldwide platform as she was the only woman on the 2012 Summer Jam bill....

The most telling exchange in the extremely heated discussion was Nicki expressing why she felt disrespected while Flex maintained it had nothing to do with disrespect.  Only opinion. And she should have performed anyway as the fans were the only people let down.

Nicki: "My fans at Summer Jam didn't appreciate his comments, nor did my fans watching the live stream appreciate those comments. This wasn't just about the 2000 people there. This was being live streamed to the world."

Flex: "I get it. Maybe that wasn't the best time to make that comment before you touched the stage. But that is what Rosenberg said and that's his opinion."

Nicki: "It's not about his opinion. I have opinions about DJs at Hot 97 and Hot 97. But I would never come on your stage and talk about your fans. I've traveled all around the world and people come with 1 agenda--and that's to have a good time. Not to have their favorite artist be ridiculed. When you invite someone to your home you treat them with respect."
 

Before the Barb flipped her wig even more, she responded to folks who said she was simply scared to go on stage after the diss:

"I am not a quitter," Nicki screamed.  "I don't back down from anything--including when people talk about me. Wayne gave me a valuable lesson last night about knowing my worth. After that disrespect, after a man goes on stage and disrespects me and calls my music bullshit and says this isn't real hip hop--I still was going on stage. SHAME ON ME. Wayne Tweeted before he called me and said Nic, we not doing that."

Flex maintained that the diss was not about women and she should have performed anyway. "I believe the show should have happened.  Wayne and Khaled and Nicki should have performed. Why couldn't you go against him and touch the stage?"

Nicki responded, "I don't go against the president of my label. Before I had you or radio, I had Wayne. When Wayne says we as a Team ain't going on that stage, then I'm not going on that stage. I stand behind his decision. Because as a woman, it doesn't matter what people say about you, but when you put in work--I put in my work--those jokes shouldn't have been said.  Why aren't you addressing Wayne?"

Flex said he's not scared of Wayne and Flex shed some light to the listeners on his personal relationship with Nicki that goes way back.  He said he never had to go through Wayne to get to her. "You always were independent and used to come up to the station years ago. I've never known you to be a person to move under Lil Wayne. Why couldn't we resolve this from 4p when this first started to 9p--in 5 hours? That's the first time we've ever talked and Wayne over ruled you."

Nicki maintained: "For [Rosenberg] to single out the only female on the bill? That was some bitch ass shit. If you a man, then go up there and talk about a man. If all you do is take shots at women…First of all you don't know me."

"I'm not saying you went at me because I was a woman, I'm saying you shouldn't have dissed me BECAUSE I'm a woman. I'm the only female representing on the Summer Jam Stage. You don't see the big difference?"

 

Flex asked, "Did Lil Wayne make the right decision in pulling Young Money off the stage?"  Nicki didn't say yes or no, but did spell out R-E-S-P-E-C-T.  And she did say she was happy that Foxy Brown was by her side as a sister all night.

Flex spoke on Rosenberg's behalf (why Nicki couldn't speak to Rosenberg directly is beyond me) saying he wasn't attacking her or her albums, but he simply had an opinion about not feeling the one record "Starships" in comparison to the rest of them.

"Do you know where I've performed at?" Nicki responded.  "Where I used to perform 4 nights a week. I had 200 people rolling with me.  There isn't a b*tch alive who God has created on this earth who could scare me out of performing.  I get money!"

She went on about being #1 in four countries.  And having 3.5 mill records sold total (both of her albums together and calculating in singles in some way she tried to explain).  She explained this is why she has to go beyond "the hood" and make pop records.  Even if people don't like it.

She also mentioned she'll be doing a free show for her fans this summer.  But Flex maintained Hot 97 may have been at fault last night--and egos were involved--but Young Money was at fault too.  And the fans are who suffered since they didn't see Nicki, Khaled, and everyone else at Summer Jam.

On the heels of his much-talked about 2012 Summer Jam performance, Nas has revealed the cover art for his upcoming Life Is Good disc (July 17).  And yes, that's Kelis' infamous green wedding dress (or a replica of it) he's holding.

Rihanna's new pics, shot by famed photog Terry Richardson, for her Vita CoCo ad campaign are out.  And she's looking fresh and fab...and covered in pineapples.  Check out pics of the spokeswoman and what she had to say about achieving her new slim & trim body...

 

The fun loving 24-year-old island gal looks made for a Vita CoCo campaign as she posed in a two piece pineapple covered shorts & halter combo for the coconut water company.  Rihanna also dished on how her fave drink helped her tone up her hot body.  She told Us Weekly:

"I wasn't drinking enough water before, and I love coconut water.  It hydrates me just as much as regular water so it really started to affect my diet and the way my body was shaping up."

"I also started to eat a little differently" the songstress admits, delving into the details of her diet. "I added one vegetable to each meal with my diet for awhile -- but then I went right back to eating McDonald's and pasta and stuff like that too! So really its just having a balance of eating great and staying hydrated."

"I never weighed myself so I don't know how much weight I was to know how much I lost.  I haven't worked out sine January!

MONDAY HOTNESS: Mehcad Brooks' SHIRTLESS Promo Pics For "Necessary Roughness"

Sexy actor Mehcad Brooks returns to the small screen on USA's "Necessary Roughness" this week.  See his new promo pics and find out what he said during his interview on "The Talk"....

 

If you fell in love with Mehcad Brooks' "TK" star NFL character on USA's "Necessary Roughness" last season, the actor is gearing up for season 2 starting Wednesday.

He recently spoke about his role saying, "TK and I are really different. Like he, he’s not even a dude I would hang out with. Tell you the truth. But I’ve known guys like that and it’s just about really you know, taking five minutes to believe your hype... There’s no boundaries, you’re put on a pedestal by society, so that means you’re above the societal mirror which means you can’t even really look at yourself in a realistic light."

He added, "TK is actually based on Keyshawn Johnson, who I don’t know from a can of paint. So, I based it on other guys that I know in the league... And I based it on my dad who was a wide receiver in the 70’s and 80’s... and then also based some of it on myself in my young 20’s. Like you know, what if I had 85 million dollars and I was that stupid?"

 

The show promises more sexiness from the lovable "football player with issues" and lots of pecs.

 

And earlier today, Mehcad stopped by CBS' "The Talk" to promote the show and talk about his "True Blood" stint.  He revealed that some fans used to ask him to "bite" them like his vampire character did on the show.  Then he joking revealed, "I actually did bite a lady in New York!"  Lucky her......

He also talked about his humble beginnings waiting tables and said you should be nice to everyone on your way up the ladder because you never know where people will end up.

Lauryn Hill DENIES Being Nicki Minaj's Summer Jam "Special Guest", Hits The Stage With Nas

Lauryn Hill made a surprise appearance at Summer Jam 2012 over the weekend. See pics and video inside and find out what L Boogie said about never being scheduled to perform with Nicki Minaj.

While rap icon Lauryn Hill was said to be performing with Nicki Minaj (according to Nicki's tweets( during Summer Jam 2012 before her cancellation, Lauryn actually hit the stage with Nas during his set.  She took the crowd through verses of “Ready or Not," and “Lost Ones” before ending with Nas on “If I Ruled the World.”

And when asked about performing with Nicki....Lauryn was just as surprised as anyone else since she never had plans to do so!  But she did say she respected Nicki's decision to not perform.

She posted to her twitter today, 

No disrespect to Nicki, but I need to clear up an inaccuracy. I was not scheduled to be a special guest on her set at Summer Jam, I was invited by Nas to perform with him. I don't have details on exactly what transpired between the station and the artists, but I do support artists standing by their beliefs, and walking with integrity. We have to find a better way to commercially exploit music, while giving artists their proper respect. This cannot be done while taking their contributions for granted, or trying to control the scope of their growth and power through threats and fear tactics. We can do better than this, there is a better way, or else 'we' (the proverbial we) find ourselves in danger of being hypocrites!!!

Niecy Nash & Hubby Jay Celebrate 1 Year Anniversary With Brandy, Mo & Kita, Angela Bassett, Shaniece & More

Actress Niecy Nash has lots to celebrate!  Not only does the fab & funny chick have her own reality show and is she the new star of the upcoming TV Land sitcom "The Soul Man," but she recently celebrated her 1 year anniversary with her hubby Jay.

 

We've got the pics from their celebrity studded anniversary party inside...

At Jay & Niecy's L.A. home, the couples' celebrity friends Brandy, Angela Bassett, bridesmaids Mo & Kita, Simone Smith (LL Cool J's wife), her friend Dina and Shaniece and more were on hand to party with the semi-newlyweds last Sunday.

Niecy told The YBF, "This party was better than my wedding reception! Love was in the air...." Sweet!

Angela & actor hubby Courtney B. Vance were there to congratulate the couple.

 

 

Jenifer Lewis put on her dancing shoes too.

The couple and their guests danced it up all night.  Plus, Shaniece and Frenchie Davis sang a few love songs for the twosome.

Brandy looked fantabulous and was there with her man Ryan Press.

Niecy and her man had another huge cake and took in the songs from their friends.

Laila Ali & Lisa Leslie were there looking good.

Hey Flex!  Couples galore.  Cute!

By the way, Brandy also stopped by Cedric The Entertainer & Niecy's "The Soul Man" set recently to offer up support.  Loves it.

"Basketball Wives" star Kenya Bell is going full-speed with her singing career having recently dropped a new track called "Hate Me." Listen to her "BBW" diss inside....

Ignoring her critics (she's looking at you Tami Roman) Kenya Bell is lighting a fire (or whatever you want to call it) under her singing career with a new track called "Hate Me" off her upcoming Choices disc.

Produced by Jazze Pha, Kenya disses her "BBW" co-stars on the song saying, “Watch yo mouth / this is my show. I’m takin’ ova / snappin’ on you silly hoes.” “Them bitches hate me / they make me famous tho.”

Oh?

Hopefully the track with make Kenya a few dollars since her estranged husband Charlie Bell wants spousal support.
