These 10 States Have Anti-Gay Laws That Are Almost Identical To Russia’s Horrible Policies! See What’s On The Books Right Here In The U.S.A.!

The whole world is watching Russia right now, not only because of the Winter Olympic games currently underway in Sochi, but because of the nation's new laws prohibiting "gay propaganda."

That makes any talk about LGBT rights in a public forum illegal!

But you don't need to go to Russia to find ridiculous anti-gay laws that strip citizens of their freedom of speech. Nope, that's happening right here in America too, folks!

10 United States currently have some form of a ban on promoting homosexuality!

Often called "no promo homo" laws can be found in 8 states: Alabama, Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah all prohibit schools from teaching about gay rights in the classroom! Some don't allow mentioning homosexuality at all!

Arizona prohibits portrayals of homosexuality as a "positive alternative life-style" and has legislatively determined that it is inappropriate to even suggest to children that there are "safe methods of homosexual sex." Texas and Alabama take it a step further with sex-education classes that emphasize homosexuality as "not a lifestyle acceptable to the general public." They also require that children be taught that "homosexual conduct is a criminal offense" even though criminalizing private, consensual homosexual conduct has been unconstitutional since 2003.

Missouri and South Dakota on the other hand have prohibition of enumeration on their books, which doesn't allow school districts from enacting policies aimed at preventing bullying over sexual orientation or gender identity.

This is happening in America...

The social injustices in Russia are much more far-reaching, with penalties and acts of violence that are putting gay and LGBT supporters at serious risk. But to see indoctrinated hate happening in the "land of the free" makes us sick to our stomachs.

If you call one of these 10 states home, pick up the phone and call your elected representative and tell them you don't want to live in a place that makes intolerance a legal requirement. Speak up! Not only because you can but because you should!

These despicable laws will someday die; that we're sure of. But that day should come as soon as possible!

Philip Seymour Hoffman's Alleged Heroin Dealer Robert Vineberg Says He's Being Used As A "Scapegoat" In The Investigation!

The tragic death of Philip Seymour Hoffman is still under investigation...

Which is prompting one of the alleged heroin dealers who was arrested following the actor's passing to speak out.

Robert Vineberg, reaching press from Rikers Island where he is currently being held on felony drug possession charges, is now confessing that he and the late actor were friends who bonded over their mutual struggles with drug addiction!

On top of that, Robert is revealing that he believes he's been made a "scapegoat" in the case that's yet to be cracked involving his "friend."

Robert shared:

"He was my friend. I could have saved him. If I knew he was in town, I would've said 'Hey, let's make an AA meeting.' If I was with him, it wouldn't have happened. Not under my guard."

Even worse, the reported confidant of Philip said the Hunger Games star left him a promising voicemail around the holidays, speaking about sobriety:

"He left me a voicemail in December saying, 'I'm clean.' We'd text back and forth, 'Oh, I got one day on you!' 'No I've got one day on you.'"

It's heartbreaking to think this amazingly talented movie star was on the mend.

Our thoughts are continually with everyone affected by Philip's passing.

Oh no! Despite happiness in love, all is not well in the Carter family!

Nick Carter chose this weekend to get down in Vegas for his bachelor/bachelorette party with bride-to-be Lauren Kitt, but where was baby bro Aaron Carter??!

Aaron was actually giving away their sis Angel Carter (above) to new hubby Corey Conrad at her wedding at Newhall Mansion in Piru, California!

We smell MAJOR family dramz!

Though original plans had Nick walking with Aaron and Angel down the aisle, Nick opted to skip the ultra important family affair.

Yikes!

We can't even begin to imagine the huge brawl they're in the midst of that would cause a big bro to miss one of the most monumental days in his lil' sis' life.

Let's just cross our boy band-lovin' fingers that whatever is happening between the siblings, it'll all be sorted out by Nick's wedding!

Oh Justin Bieber, why the sudden change?!

Over the weekend, the Biebs tried to inconspicuously change his Instagram name from his own to a new moniker.

Apparently the Baby singer is going by the new nickname, "Bizzle."

Fans obviously noticed this change right away because, really, how can you have 14 million followers on the popular photo sharing app and get away with that kind change?

Bieberoni responded to his faithful Belieber fans on Twitter about the recent change:

The Biebs has been receiving a ton of negative attention for his actions lately. At least this change isn't something too drastic!

We can't imagine having to go through this whole ordeal once, let alone having to now do it TWICE.

Amanda Knox went through one of the worst & most terrifying experiences anyone could possibly think up while studying abroad.

She survived it all when she was acquitted, found innocent, and released back to the U.S. in 2011.

But now she's been found guilty again and the former college-student-found-murderer is speaking out on what it's like to be in her shoes, and it's not exactly a walk in the park.

Being "marked" as a criminal makes her feel as if she's been diagnosed with cancer!

She admitted:

"I feel stranded. Granted, I feel so much safer here in the US, where people still believe in me, but when I talked to you about feeling marked – being marked as an exoneree is one thing and being marked as a criminal is another. It hurts. It's not OK.

People have been quiet and respectful, but it's like I've just been diagnosed with cancer. There's nowhere I can go where there's not this knowledge that I'm this girl who is convicted again. I'm never going to be OK with the idea that somebody can quote some judge's decision and say I'm a convicted murderer."

WOW. Talk about having it affect your whole life.

We can only imagine how awful it must be be found innocent in the case of Meredith Kercher's death and then find none of that matters.

It's definitely a devastating blow for her.
