The new musical based on the life of and featuring the music of legendary songwriter Carole King is a non-stop hit parade and the perfect example of a jukebox musical done right! If you enjoyed Motown the musical, you will love Beautiful! Both shows wisely choose to tell real-life stories instead of crafting one together out of the songs, which doesn't always work. For every Mama Mia you have two We Will Rock Yous and a Spice Girls musical. Beautiful has heart, soul, humor and moves along at a brisk pace! And it is all set to the iconic songs of Carole King! You forget, also, how many songs she wrote before she became famous as a solo artist! One Fine Day! Up On The Roof! The LOCO MOTION! And so many more! The beautiful music, arranged beautifully and beautifully sound-engineered, is the star of the show. BUT, the show's star, Jessie Mueller, is such a star! Jessie Mueller is the future of Broadway! Right now! Her voice is special! Her tone! Such a warmth to it! And range! So special! AND, what we especially loved, is that we got to see her shine in The Mystery Of Edwin Drood, where she played a hilarious role in a super comedic part. So it was very nice to see her do a total 180 and play a normal person and showcasing a different, more heartfelt acting. She was so beautiful! Anika Larsen and Jarrod Spector were two other standouts from the show and we are running right now to iTunes to download Carole King's greatest hits! We suggest you do the same, but only after you buy tickets to see Beautiful on Broadway! |

Like the fact that Beyoncé and Jay Z are going to open up with Drunk In Love, according to a new report! It's going to be sexy gold! We can just feel it! | Usher Jets To Panama To Have A Sit-Down With Justin Bieber! Posted: 26 Jan 2014 12:02 PM PST Someone has to be able to get him to listen! Usher has been one of Justin Bieber's mentors from the beginning of his young music career, so he flew down to Panama to be with his mentee. And he wasn't alone! Scooter Braun, JB's manager, and childhood friend Ryan Butler accompanied the 35-year-old singer to try and talk with Justin. A Belieber shared a couple pics of herself with Justin and Usher, blowing their cover, but they clearly had bigger things to deal with! Like Justin's alleged drug addiction! Recently, a report came out that Britney Spears' new Las Vegas show had higher ticket sales than any other, including the likes of Celine Dion and Elton John! Welp, it turns out the report was flawed. The info was only taken from StubHub, not allllll of the places that sold tickets to the show. So, people did some digging and Yahoo Music came up with the real stats:
That's a whole lot of numbers, and a whole lot of ca$$$h! But it's still easy to see that Brit shouldn't have a problem being one of the top acts, especially since she's off to such a fab start! |

You never want your safety to feel threatened, but that is just what Selena Gomez is dealing with today. A man was arrested Saturday morning for trespassing at the 21-year-old singer's house! Reportedly, one of Selenita's family members called the police when they noticed the 19-year-old slinking around their home. When the cops got there, the teen told them he wanted to see Miz Gomez in person. Ugh! This is totally creepy! Whether or not Selena was home at the time is foggy, but we just hope this isn't too traumatizing and that she can still feel safe in her own home. [Image via WENN.] |

Pink only performed at the Grammys 2010 for five minutes, but she changed the awards ceremony forever! The scantily clad songstress soared across the audience in a trapeze as she belted the inspiring Glitter In The Air. We still tear up every time we watch it! No act will make our hearts go aflutter quite like Pink did that evening, but at least one of the 20 acts this year are bound to get the audience on their feet for a standing ovation. You always hope that there will be special guests on Saturday Night Live, but sometimes they still take your breath away. We were all set to have Jonah Hill make us laugh our butts off as he hosted SNL for the third time! But then things took a turn when The Wolf of Wallstreet actor started trashing co-star Leonardo DiCaprio! That forced Leo to come out from backstage, making everyone's life a little, err, harder! Ha!
