ALL ABOUT GABBY: Gabby Union Talks Swimming With Sharks & That On Screen SEXUAL CHEMISTRY + Hits Times Square "Being Mary Jane" Premiere Party Posted: 08 Jan 2014 08:31 AM PST Gabby Union had a whirlwind of press to do yesterday to promote last night's premiere of "Being Mary Jane".  And the gorgeous gal cracked jokes about her chum-filled weave while swimming with sharks, flashed that engagement ring everywhere, and celebrated the premiere in Times Square.   Oh, and she and co-star Omari Hardwick talked about their ridiculous on screen chemistry.  Check it inside.... Hottie Gabrielle Union put on her little black dress for Jimmy Fallon last night.     And she chopped it up about her crazy decision to swim with some sharksduring her NYE vacay in Bimini.  Check out her talking about why she was mostly concerned with her Rapunzel vavcay weave below:   And last night, Gabby rolled to Times Square to watch the premiere with media and celebs.  And, of course, creator Mara Brock Akil was there as well.   Gabby's co-stars were there to celebrate the big night too. Idris Elba Chops It Up On "Chelsea Lately" + Jeezy Reportedly Blaming His Baby Mama For Arrest Over His Son Posted: 08 Jan 2014 06:11 AM PST The yumminess that is Idris Elba made his way to "Chelsea Lately" last night.  Check out what he had to say about his Golden Globe jitters, plus an update on that Jeezy arrest situation.... Mandela star Idris chopped it up with Chelsea Handler--who did way less flirting than we thought she would--last night.  And he revealed he's super nervous about Sunday night's Golden Globes (despite winning one already a couple years ago). And they didn't discuss his baby mama situation, but they did discuss how he and Chelsea go way way back....to the days he was a bouncer at Caroline's comedy club. Check out the video above.   Meanwhile, sources are saying that Jeezy is telling folks he in no way brutalized his 17-year-old son Jadarius...but he surely kicked him out of his house for being a "punk kid with an attitude". Jeezy turned himself in to Atlanta authorities a few days ago after a warrant for his arrest was issued on charges of battery, terroristic threats and false imprisonment. The legal paperwork accuses Jeezy of slamming his son into a glass shower door, beating him in his face several times, and preventing him from leaving.  But TMZ reports Jeezy is blaming his baby mama, Tanesha Dykes, for being the "b*tch" who exaggerated what happened. Sources connected to Jeezy tell TMZ ... the rapper and his 17-year-old son Jadarius did indeed get into a nuclear argument in Sept., 2012, but it never turned really violent. We're told it started when Jeezy told the teenager he had turned into a punk kid with an attitude and he didn't want the kid staying at his house. Our Jeezy sources say Jadarius became belligerent and the two starting screaming at each other. Jeezy claims he never hit, choked, or dragged his son, but admits he shoved him to the ground when Jadarius got in his face. Our sources claim at the bottom of it all ... Tenesha Dykes, whom they say is brainwashing the son against his dad and trying to squeeze every penny she can get from Jeezy. Oprah & Lupita GET FAB For W Magazine Covers + Lady O & The Presidential Lady O Chill Together In Hawaii Posted: 07 Jan 2014 06:40 PM PST The belles of Award season are covering two of the multiple covers W magazine has for their big movie issue.  Check out Oprah and Lupita Nyong'o inside...   While the acting world is on the road to the Oscars, YBF chicks like Oprah and Lupita are soaking up all of the much deserved attention.  Oscars nods aren't in until January 16th, but for now, The Butler star and the 12 Years A Slave star are putting their fabness on display for the new issue of W magazine. It's the big MOVIE issue, which focuses on the hottest actors of the season.  And we're loving the vintage fashion feel of the covers. The highlights: Oprah decided to dish about her first movie crush. “My first crush at the movies was on Robert Duvall in The Godfather," she said, "He’s really the unsung hero of the film, the stabilizer of the family. He keeps everybody going, and he knows all the secrets, but he has his own sense of honor and dignity. I love that. I loved him." And speaking of Lady O, she ended up spending part of her Holiday vacay with First Lady Michelle Obama.  The President and the First Daughters had to head back to D.C. early, but Mrs. O hung back at their vacation home, which is surprisingly pretty close to one of Oprah's homes.  And it was all to celebrate her upcoming 50th birthday with friends--including Oprah. WELL LOOKY LOOKY: LaLa & Carmelo Anthony + Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon STEAM UP The February 2014 EBONY Magazine Covers Posted: 07 Jan 2014 03:22 PM PST   LaLa Anthony and her NBA baller husband Carmelo are the cover couple for EBONY Magazine's Valentine's issue. And so is Hollywood couple Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey. Check out the reality star cosmetics queen steam up the photoshoot with the Mister, and the diva and the man with 10 jobs do what they do best inside... This may look like the cover of a Harlequin style romance novel, but we're just happy to see somebody new on one of these mags. LaLa and NY Knicks baller Carmelo Anthony are showing off their love for Ebony's Couples Issue. And we're sure the Motives makeup guru LaLa will be dishing her relationship advice in the cover story, all for promotion of her first book, The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness. The couple has been married for three years and together for over a decade (including some recent rocky times they made it through). So we're sure they have some good advice to dish up to the masses. When asked what ignites their love and how they maintain the passion in their relationships, the twosome said: “There were people coming in and out of my life, and I didn’t really know whom to trust. Gabby Union Avoids Dwyane's Cheating Drama, Gushes Details About The Proposal Posted: 07 Jan 2014 12:24 PM PST Gabrielle Union kept it pretty....and pretty PG....this morning on "Live with Kelly & Michael".  Check out what the "Being Mary Jane" star had to say about her sweet proposal from her new fiance.... To promote the premiere season of BET's "Being Mary Jane" that goes down tonight, Gabrielle Union knew exactly where to go.  To those who would be too P.C. to bring up her Dwyane Wade I-cheated-then-had-a-baby-on-you drama: "Live with Kelly & Michael". Early this morning, Gabby kept it cute in coral and fresh off her Holiday vacay in Bimini.  And she avoided all the drama that recently went down with her new fiance having a baby less than two months ago with another woman.  And she didn't address his claims--that we all know are false--that he and Gabby were on a "break" at the time of conception. But the actress was more than open about the Miami Heat star's recent marriage proposal (and why she thought it was all a joke at first).  Oh, and that FAT ring. When asked how Dwyane proposed, she said: "I was completely surprised. He and the boys planned it completely as a family. We were just going to spend the day having family time. Go to lunch. He said, do you want to do your hair or makeup? I was like, 'No.' We were going from there to Our house that is under construction and I was dressed for a construction site." She continued: "So the boys are like, can we do a presentation for you. So me and D turn around and then the boys say, 'OK we're ready.' And we turn back around and they're holding signs that say "Nicki [Nique?], will you marry us?" But the thing is, they ask me all the time. So I was like, 'Well this is embarrassing. Now they bring in signs.' So I turn to D and he was down on one knee. And he was like, would you marry us? And I was like, 'Oh you're serious?! Oh, of course! ' The kids thought I was saying no, and I'm like 'Yes, Yes!'  And then they tear up the stairs..." MUSIC NEWS: Jay Z & Beyonce Salute Blue Ivy On Her 2nd Birthday + Ciara Pops Off About Bloggers...Again Posted: 07 Jan 2014 11:37 AM PST Today, Blue Ivy Carter turns 2.  And her Papa Jay Z, who we're SURE she has wrapped around her cute little finger, posted a cute tribute to B.I.C.  Find out what he did inside, plus Ciara's latest gripes with "bloggers"... After a long Holiday stint in NYC and Miami, Papa Hov and Mama Bey are saluting their baby girl Blue Ivy on her 2nd birthday.  Jay posted to his Life + Times website a cute pic (that we've previously seen) of he and Blue, along with the song his wife Beyonce made for her, "God Made You Beautiful." How sweet!    And in other music related news, Ciara is mad again y'all.  Fresh of her NYE vacay to Bora Bora with her fiance Future, she wrote a long post on her website about bloggers and commenters.  And she says people have gone too far with the meanness.  Here is her gripe in full:   I used to sometimes like visiting some of the blog sites to see what new things are happening in the world! Things like cool photos, current events, etc. But nowadays it seems like there's a competition with sites on "Who Can Tear Someone Down the Most." The stories are going from cool and creative to pure drama. Even the comment sections are beginning to get out of control and people are using the platforms to exercise a false sense of power. People sure do have a lot of courage when they are anonymous. It's like a "Who Can Say the Nastiest Comment Game." I click onto some of the comments from something as fun as an Instagram post that you're sharing with your fans, and a person finds a way to turn a positive post into a negative. I think to myself, "I could pick this person apart so bad but what for? Why act ugly like them?" It honestly takes the fun out of it when people seem so miserable. Or at least that's how I view someone wasting their energy to tear someone down, just plain miserable. They could be using that to do something much more productive. If only they could channel their energy towards positivity, it could make a difference in their own life as well as influence others. It's kind of scary for the kids coming up, because even if a parent doesn't allow their kids to have blog site access at home, they may still have access at school or other places. It's now almost impossible to protect your kids from the vile things people say on blog sites today, and it's even worse when kids hear hurtful things about themselves, their parents or other family members. In some cases kids have even resorted to suicide due to "cyber-bullying." My questions to people creating slander about people are: What stops you from thinking twice about trying to defame someone? What are you trying to gain? Words are powerful. You could say the wrong thing about someone, famous or not, on the wrong day and that could cost them their life because they're at a weak point. Believe it it or not, you could also be encouraging them to give up on their life or whatever the situation is, when they shouldn't. Or what about a story that causes unnecessary drama stemming from completely false information? It's just flat out wrong and sad. I say to myself, I thank God for making me strong, because I've always been able to use the negativity as motivation, and it makes me stronger. But I don't just think about myself in this, I think about others that I see getting thrashed and think it's just so wrong. It's very sad that people just want to tear people down so bad just to see them unhappy. It's unbelievable how far people are willing to go to get people to come to their site. I say this to say.... Dear Blogger, It's never worth it in the end when you sell your soul for a quick dollar, by creating bad stories about people. At some point, it will all reverse on you and you'll end up regretting all the trash you wrote or said about people. The universal friend "Karma" has demonstrated this over and over again. I strongly encourage you to project more positivity into the universe. If Social Media is a world that's growing more massive by the day, why not use it to shed light?? Otherwise, you are merely contaminating our universe. What about your family and kids?? Do you think about them?? You're definitely creating a harmful and volatile environment where they must learn to live. It's almost like you are cursing future generations with your bad energy. Not to mention...Your "Personal Karma"??... Forget about it! You better start doing some serious praying and rebuking, cause only The Lord knows!...:) I sure do miss the good ol days when the focus was about the pure creativity of being an artist. Back then there was still some mystery. Social Media Is Beginning To Take Away The Specialness of What That Was, and Is. Now, Off Blogs. Peaceful Mind. Living In My Happiness. Creativity Only. Love, C   Hmm.  Maybe, by now, she would just stop reading and spend her time doing other things since "blogs"....who are usually the main people who mention her name...are so horrible to and for her.  And we actually really like CiCi around these parts.  It's just a suggestion. OH JEEZY! Young Jeezy ARRESTED For False Imprisonment, Battery...Of His Own SON! Posted: 07 Jan 2014 10:55 AM PST Well damn!  Not sure what's going in rapper Young Jeezy's household...but apparently a whole lot.  Details on his arrest on multiple intense charges inside... So...Young Jeezy's been arrested in Atlanta on charges of false imprisonment, battery, and making terrorist-like threats...in regards to his own son. According to the report, Jeezy, government name Jay Jenkins, got into a major fight with his son in a bathroom back in September 2012He allegedly threw his son into a bathroom shower glass door, punched him in the face, DRAGGED him into the bedroom, then treated his face like a punching bag on the bed. And once Jeezy blocked his son from escaping via a stairwell, things got worse.  TMZ reports: The docs go on -- claiming Jeezy subsequently choked his son and said, "I will kill you." According to police docs, Jeezy's son claims his dad said, "I will put a bullet in your head right now," adding, "If I could get away with it, I would kill you." Goodness.  It's unclear why it took over a year for a grand jury to warrant an arrest on each charge.  But Jeezy turned himself in to authorities on Friday.  He paid bail of $45,000. Sad and horrible story if it's even partly true. Jeezy's attorney put out a statement saying, "We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. YES THAT'S MY BODY! Wendy Williams Says Stop Doubting Her Bikini Hotness.... Posted: 07 Jan 2014 09:52 AM PST Wendy Williams recently showed off her new bikini body.  And it was hotter than most people expected.  So folks didn't even believe it was her.  Peep her response inside... Oh hey Ms. Wendy!  Now that the radio turned TV personality has been working on her fitness and look since she's front and center on our televisions daily, people were pretty shocked by what's actually underneath all those daytime tv dresses. So to promote "The Wendy Williams Show" returning with new episodes this week, the talk show host posted the above pic from her Holiday vacay. We could spot a Wendy vacay wig anywhere, so we knew it was her.  But others had their doubts.  So today on her show, she threw the pick up to explain just how she got it tight and right.  And said people simply aren't used to seeing her newly transformed bod. She said she eats right, stays in the gym for a flat tummy, the tattoo across her tummy is from her tummy tuck from years ago, her short vacay wig is so she doesn't have hair dragging in the water behind her, and her boobs look smaller in the pic only because EVERYTHING looks bigger on TV.
