How cute is Kiyan roccking his dad Carmelo's jersey?  The duo was spotted out and about running some errands yesterday.  Cuteness.

 

And down in Miami, Pharrell had another launch party for his new Qream liquor:

SPOTTED: Rihanna Sports A Darker Hair Color While Shopping In Beverly Hills, Pisses Off Twitter Followers With "Starvation" Comment

Rihanna was spotted shopping in California and it looks like she's dyed her hair a darker shade of red.  And she also made some of her twitter followers a bit pissy with her latest comment about "starving" herself for a recent photoshoot.  See the pics and drama inside....

Rihanna was spotted at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills yesterday and it looks like she recently dyed her hair. 

RiRi caused controversy on Twitter yesterday when she talked about her Esquire photoshoot saying, "I shot my first cover for Esquire yesterday with Russell James #rockstars*** Not much preparation for that besides wax+starve!!"

That statement caused a minor uproar amongst some of her followers...but she was likely joking like she usually does.

Next up for RiRi is the cover of British Vogue....and I'm sure she will look fab.

REALLY!? Soulja Boy Cops Himself A $55 Million Private Jet + Man Calls NFLer Larry Johnson The "N" Word And Sues Him For Assault

Soulja Boy is celebrating turning 21-years-old with a $300K birthday bash in Miami...and a $55 Million private jet to top it off! Yes....you read that number right.

Get the deets on the king of conspicuous consumption inside and find out about the man suing Larry Johnson for assault, and who called him the "N" word!

 

A source close to Soulja Boy told TMZ that the rapper bought himself a G5 to celebrate his 21st birthday this week.  And guess how much it set him back......$55 Million! 

So what does $55M get you these days?

Well....the jet itself cost $35 Million, but Mr. Boy spent an additional $20M pimping the jet out with "...12 custom Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, 4 liquor bars, a special travertine tiled floor, and Brazilian hardwood cabinets."  He's also installing a luxury bathroom and getting a custom paint job with his logo on it. 

And in case you thought that was over the top, he's also spending $300K on a big birthday party in Miami tonight. 

Hmmm.....it''s his money and he can do whatever he wants.  I just wonder will we be revisiting these purchases in 2021 on VH1 "Behind The Music" wondering what the hell he was thinking...while we trace where all the money was spent.

 

 

Also in the news....

Former All-Pro running back Larry Johnson is being sued by a man who claims Larry gave him a brutal beat down after a Miami party.  But before you take his side, the man reportedly told the cops "This n**ger is going down" while he was filing his report.

According to the civil lawsuit fild last week, John Phillip Graney says Larry Johnson punched and kicked him after a party in May.  And when Miami beach police responded, John told them,

"This n**ger is going down. He needs to learn a lesson, it's going to cost this prick."

John says he suffered cuts to his face and ear, 3 herniated discs and a torn rotator cuff.

When asked about the "N" word comments, his attorney said John does not recall making those comments.  Of course not.

Larry Johnson, who has a history of angry lash outs, has responded through his lawyer saying this is an extortion attempt to get money from him.

OPRAH!  Now that Ms. Winfrey's kicked out Christina Norman as CEO of her OWN network, and named herself the new CEO, she tweeted a pic of herself in her new office digs in L.A. 

Here I am "CEO-ing" in my new office at OWN in LA!!

Not as lavish as her Chicago Harpo office, but she seems happy nonetheless.  So much for retiring after "The Oprah Show." Oh O...

Last night Beyonce stopped by "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" to promote her 4 album and perform her latest single. Watch the video inside.....

 

Beyonce looked beautiful in a white dress, despite being a little under the weather, as she performed with the Roots, her latest single "Best Thing I Never Had" for Jimmy Fallon.  She even switched up the melody a bit for a new sund for the track.

WHO'S THAT LADY? Russell Simmons Kissing Melissa George + Nas Spotted Chatting Up A Mysterious Lady

Russell Simmons was spotted kissing his lady friend of the moment, Melissa George, at a sporting event recently. See the pics inside and see candids of Nas chatting up a fan while waiting for his car at valet.

 

Russell Simmons was spotted getting cozy with actress Melissa George at the 2011 MLS All-Stars vs Manchester United game at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey yesterday.

Hmmm....they look pretty happy together.  AJ Calloway and Maxwell were there as well (in the maroon cap).

 

And in Los Angeles.... 

Rapper Nasir bin Olu Dara was spotted chatting up a female companion while waiting for his car at the valet outside of Urth Cafe in West Hollywood.

The young lady was likely a fan and she looked pretty happy to run into the well-known rapper.

Is This Lauryn Hill's Baby Boy?

The first pics of Lauryn Hill's unnamed baby boy have surfaced and we have them inside for you....

Shown above at a broadway play with her kids and the Rohan Marley, father of her first five children, Lauryn Hill recently gave birth to a sixth child.

And although the baby boy was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, he is in great health now.

 

In this pic, big sisters Selah,12, and Sarah,3, Marley play with their new baby brother. Cute!

Lauryn is still mum about the identity of the baby's father.....not that it's any of our business.  But our nosey asses still want to know....

FIRST LOOK At Jason Derulo's "It Girl" Video Ft. Tika Sumpter+LaLa Goes ShoeDazzle Design Happy

Jason Derulo tapped the "it girl" of the moment, Tika Sumpter, for his brand new video called...you guessed it..."It Girl."  We've got the first look at the steamy video stills, plus news on LaLa becoming a shoe designer, when you read on...

Jason got hot and steamy with fab chick and "Gossip Girl" Tika for his new "It Girl" video.  The track is off his forthcoming album “Future History” being released this fall. 

The Colin Tiley directed video was shot in L.A. recently.  And it drops August 9th.

Tika looks gorge in the vid.  Per usual of course.

 

In other news, LaLa Anthony is still following her bestie Kim Kardashian's footsteps by becoming the shoe designer-of-the-moment for Shoedazzle--the online fashion brand delivering personalized monthly shoe, handbag and jewelry selections to members by its team of top celebrity stylists.

ShoeDazzle recently tapped La to become the latest member of its popular ShoeDazzle “Celebrity Shoe Design Program for Charity."

About the new gig, La said, "I’ve always been a shoe-lover and am so excited to have the opportunity to work with ShoeDazzle and design ‘Ooh La La'.  Community’s Child is a great organization, and I love that ShoeDazzle members can support a worthy cause while looking fabulous this fall.”

TV FAB: VH1 Reveals FULL Official “BASKETBAL​L WIVES: L.A.” Cast & Premiere Date

We previously reported that "Basketball Wives" was expanding to LA, and we also told you that Shaunie O'Neal isn't too happy about the cast or the "jumpoff" drama in store. And now we can confirm the cast is exactly who has been reported (plus a few extra), and also when the full court drama starts. Oh, and one of Chris Brown's former jumpoff is in the mix.

Drama fans get ready. VH1 Monday nights, starting August 29 at 8pm, will be all about what it looks like when ladies in expensive shoes throw drinks at each other during the "Basketball Wives LA" debut.  And today, VH1 has announced the full cast of ladies who I am sure will have us glued to the TV sets.

GLORIA GOVAN – fiancée of LA's Matt Barnes, Gloria may be fairly new to the West Coast, but not to viewers of Basketball Wives. After relocating to Los Angeles and surviving Barnes' first season playing for the most recognizable team in the world, she's keeping busy both as a mom to her twins and taking on a new challenge: easing into the Southern California lifestyle.

A controversial beauty with a history of dating Chris Brown and ball players, the funny and engaging Draya says "I have a million haters. I open the list of haters and it rolls across the floor."

REALLY need to start a campaign to ban the word HATERS.  Anywho, this cast sounds pretty interesting.  August 29 at 8pmET/PT.  I'll be watching...

BUMPIN' LOVE: Nia Long & Her Baby Bump Take A Stroll With Baby Daddy Ime Udoka

When we first caught wind last month that YBF Chick Nia Long was expecting, it was clear from her baby belly pic she would be looking more fab than ever during her pregnancy.  And that...she is.

 

Nia was spotted with her baby's father, NBA baller Ime Udoka, in Beverly Hills yesterday.  And we've got the cute pics of the couple inside...

Ms. Long rocked a black and cream sundress and cream colored studded heels and black Prada bag as she and her hot man Ime grabbed some food at BOA Steakhouse yesterday.  She's eating for two these days, so why not eat well:

She's def got a pregnancy glow...and pregnancy boobs...going on. And we're not mad.  The 40-year-old carries pregnancy well.  Just a little while longer for the new bundle of joy to arrive and join Nia's 10-year-old son Massai, Jr.  Cuteness...

Beyonce Rocks "The View" With "Best Thing I Never Had" & "1+1" Performances

Beyonce is back to doing a bit of promo in the U.S.  And she stopped by "The View" this morning to perform two tracks off her 4 album.  And to sit down and chat with the ladies about who she was starstruck by...and other career ish.

Bey hit "The View" stage to perform "Best Thing I Never Had" & "1+1".  And she looked fab wearing a short gold mini dress number and a long black gown on top of the piano with a stunning necklace piece:

She also chatted with the ladies in between performances.  A confident Bey gushed about her man saying, "Ive always been a Jay-Z groupie" and revealed how starstruck she was to meet Clint Eastwood, the director of the upcoming A Star Is Born remake Bey is set to star in.  Check out the interview vids:

Eddie Long's 5th Accuser Revealed, And You GOTTA See This....

A 5th accuser in the Bishop Eddie Long sexual misconduct settlement has been revealed as Centino Kemp.  He is a 22-year-old musician and Atlanta resident who sports a tattoo on his arm about his "relationship" with the New Birth pastor.  See the tattoo and get the deets inside....

 

 

We told you earlier that Bishop Eddie Long had reached a settlement with four accusers in his sexual misconduct case, but now a 5th accuser has been revealed.

The FOX 5 team in Atlanta has revealed that 22-year-old musician Centino Kemp, who was not named in the original lawsuit, was a big factor in the settlement.  In fact, sources speculate that Centino helped the plantiffs reach a settlement because Bishop Eddie Long was "VERY" uncomfortable with Centino's presence anywhere near this case.  But why?

Well, from the outset, Centino is....different...from the other plantiffs we've seen.  Let's just say he is far removed from hypermasculine hip-hop imagery.  And by that we mean he's not afriad to rock a perm or lipstick. 

When Fox 5 approached Centino, he would not offer up much by way of commentary about Bishop Eddie Long...but his music and tattoo speak for themselves.  He sports a tattoo on his arm that reads "

"Eddie Long.  Never a Mistake, Always a Lesson"

Hmmm.  Wonder if he was inspired by Rihanna's "Never A Failure.  Always A Lesson" tatt.  And according to FOX 5, most of Centino's music is from the perspective of a scorned lover and does address his stance on the church...which isn't always positive.

One source said Centino, who is from the Bahamas, met the bishop while he was a college student in Florida, but his apperance in the lawsuit threw most for a loop. 

Centino joined in the settlement talks after he heard about the other young men's lawsuits and though he never sued, he did become a part of the final settlement.

One lawyer familiar with the case told FOX that Centino was "different from the other young men," "one piece of the puzzle that never fit," and he made the case "more difficult."

SMH.....the piece may not have fit but it seems like Centino is cashing checks like the other four plantiffs so.....Bishop Long knows wassup.

Newlywed Tamera Mowry Speaks On Interracial Love & Marriage, Does New Photoshoot With Hubby Adam

YBF chick Tamera Mowry just got hitched to her long time love Adam Housley this past May.  And she's still gushing with excitement about their wedding day.  And about how happy she is she chose Adam as her hubby.

 

The bi-racial actress dished to Essence.com about people dating outside their race.  And we've got excerpts of the chit chat, plus the couple's new photoshoot, inside....

When Tamera Mowry--twin sis to Tia Mowry--married Fox correspondent Adam Housley, she did so without seeing any color.  Check ut what she had to say about their interracial love:

ESSENCE.COM: You are no longer a single lady. Congrats on the big wedding! What’s married life like?
TAMERA MOWRY: It’s amazing! I feel like I have a lot more strength, and I have this person who has my back, and no matter what he’s going to be there for me. That just in itself makes me feel a lot more confident and a lot more safe. It feels amazing -- it really, really does. Adam and I, we haven’t lived together, so we’re going through that right now. Moving is challenging, but it’s rewarding. That’s the best I can describe it. Because once you go through a challenging situation then you overcome it you’re like “yes, we can do this." Adam has to do most of the moving so I kind of feel sorry for him in that sense. He’s moving into my place and one of the main things that we’re going through right now is that I don’t want him to feel like a visitor. It’s our place. We’re kind of going through the transition where you say “my place” and then you’re like, “no, wait, it’s our place.” Plus, saying “my husband”, that feels amazing too. There’s something that just goes through your body when you say those words.

 

ESSENCE.COM: Do you have any advice for women considering dating outside of their race who may be apprehensive about it?
TAMERA: Well, I always find these questions so interesting, because I’m a product of an interracial marriage -- and I never really grew up seeing color. I honestly realized that my dad was White when someone told me in middle school. They’re like, “Oh your dad’s White?” I’m like, “Oh, my gosh, he really is White.” I knew what race was, but it didn’t matter to me. Yes we are an interracial couple. The thing is we do still deal with that. People always question that. If anything, it hurts, but we do have more people supporting us than making stupid comments. We kind of just ignore it and focus on the positive. Love is love and a lot of times people might be in the situation they’re in because they put barriers up. Like some people only want to date a model, or an actor, or an athlete. You’re only limiting yourself. Open up to what’s out there because God made us all.

The wedding pics from the new Mr. & Mrs. Wright's wedding day are out.  And it looks like a fab ceremony fit for a reality show couple.  The finale of "Toya's Family Affair" showed the couple's wedding, with Tiny, as well as Toya's manager Danielle, as her maids of honor, and her daughter Reginae as a Junior Bridesmaid.

Toya & Mickey "Memphitz" Wright got married last month, but the ceremony just played out on their reality show season finale.  Here's pics:

 

Tiny and Danielle served as Bridesmaids.  And Memphitz's & Toya's brothers were in the wedding as well.

Reginae and Memphitz's daughter Mikkya (Mickey & Mikkya?) served as Junior Bridesmaids.

And she looked gorge walking down the aisle.
