Dina's at it again.

Lindsay was reportedly blindsided by her mom's appearance on Good Morning America where Dina spoke about her daughter's troubles.

Sources say that Linds was "upset" when she found out that her mom had done the interview, but the anger didn't last long. As soon as the shoot wrapped, Lindsay forgave her mom.

Lindsay told friends that she still loves her mom, but she wishes she would tell her when she's scheduled to make TV appearances.

Um, yes, Dina, telling your daughter when you plan to go on TV and talk about her would be a really good idea.

Sigh…

Congratulations are in order!

Actress Gabrielle Union has been appointed a post on the National Advisory Committee for Violence Against Women by President Obama.

Her duties will entail meeting with committee members to share their ideas and expertise when it comes to crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence against women.

Even though Gabrielle has been busying working in fashion and film, she says that this this most "fulfilling" job at the moment.

It's so great when celebrities can lend their voices to important causes.

We wish Gabrielle luck in her new job.

There are some extremely talented kids in Canada!

Not only did Lady GaGa show her support for a young girl in Winnipeg who uploaded a beautiful performance of Born This Way on YouTube earlier this week, but now Simon Cowell has decided to back a different 10-year-old performer, Heather Russell of Toronto.

After viewing a YouTube video of Heather singing one of her original songs, Simon gave her a contract. And now the young girl is already working with producer Rob Fusari, who also produced Lady GaGa.

Wow. That's incredible. She must be extremely talented to catch Simon's eye. We can't wait to see what the future holds for her.

That was quick.

Dianna Agron and her I Am Number Four co-star and boyfriend Alex Pettyfer have called it quits.

After dating less than a year, the two have broken things off and Dianna has reportedly moved out of their home.

The two were introduced by director D.J. Caruso and a romance blossomed while filming their movie together last summer.

Now that the film has been released, it seems pretty obvious that their relationship may have been just another PR stunt!

Facebook Adds "Domestic Partnership" & "Civil Union" To Their Relationship Status Options

facebook-includes-domestic-partnership.jpg

It's about time!

Facebook has finally added "domestic partnership" and "in a civil union" to their relationship status options.

Users in the U.S., Canada, France, the U.K., Australia, and several other countries were able to choose from the new options on Friday.

Facebook's manager of public policy communications Andrew Noyes says:

"This has been a highly requested feature from users. We want to provide options for people to genuinely and authentically reflect their relationships on Facebook."

This has been a positive change for the LGBT community and many people are speaking out about it. Michael Cole-Schwartz, a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign says:

"As LGBT people face a patchwork of relationship recognition laws, this gives people more tools to adequately describe their relationship. Facebook has been a company that has tried to be inclusive of the LGBT community and this just one sign of it."

And president of Equality Matters, Richard Socarides, added:

"Facebook has always been an empowering place for gay people–it's a place you can be yourself in relative safety. This is a natural progression of that. In most places, gay Americans can't yet marry but they may be able to formalize their relationship short of marriage. This change reflects that reality. Well done."

This is definitely a positive change in the right direction.

Obama Teams With Zuckerberg And Tech Folks To Create Millions Of Jobs!

barack obama meets with tech folks to discuss jobs

Hooray for technology!

Yesterday, President Barack Obama met with Mark Zuckerberg and 12 other tech folks to discuss Obama's "proposals to invest in research and development and expand incentives for companies to grow and hire, along with his goal of doubling exports over five years to support millions of American jobs."

Millions of new jobs? Sounds good to us!

Here's a statement about the meeting from Press Secretary Jay Carney:

This evening, the President joined twelve leaders from technology companies to discuss ways to work together to invest in American innovation and promote private sector job growth. In the President's State of the Union Address, he called on us to win the future by out-innovating and out-educating the rest of the world and increasing American competitiveness. The President believes that American companies like these have been leading by investing in the creativity and ingenuity of the American people, creating cutting-edge new technologies and promoting new ways to communicate. The President specifically discussed his proposals to invest in research and development and expand incentives for companies to grow and hire, along with his goal of doubling exports over five years to support millions of American jobs. The group also discussed the importance of new investments in education and the new White House initiative Startup America, a partnership with the private sector aimed at supporting new startups and small businesses. The President expressed his desire to continue a dialogue with the group to share new ideas so we can work as partners to promote growth and create good jobs in the United States.

ADDENDUM: There was also a lot of discussion about ways to encourage people to study science, technology, engineering and math, and to go into STEM fields.

This sounds wonderful, Obama! We'll look forward to hearing a lot more about your efforts here.
