Watch: Britney Spears Announces An Upcoming Performance On ‘Good Morning America’

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 09:49 PM PST

At last!! Britney Spears is planning to do actual promotion for her new album Femme Fatale with a LIVE performance on Good Morning America in March 29 — the day her album is released. A promo video has leaked its way to the Internets that shows Britney making the GMA announcement herself. Check it out below.

There have been rumors going around that some sort of promo commercial for Britney Spears would be airing during the Academy Awards on Sunday night … I’m pretty sure this leaked promo video is what those rumors have been referring to (both the Oscars and GMA are on the ABC network). As you may recall, Britney last performed on GMA on the day her album Circus was released back in 2008. I was lucky enough to be in attendance at that performance, tho I doubt I’ll be able to attend next month’s performance … but I guess you never know ;) I am so excited that Britney will be performing on GMA. She promises that it will be a “morning to remember” … of that, I have no doubt.

Who’s excited?!

Anne Hathaway Channels Her Inner Evita For The Academy Awards

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 05:35 PM PST

Earlier today we saw a short video of Oscar co-hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway starring in their own version of the classic movie musical Grease. Right now we get to see a new promo video of Anne doing her best Eva Peron in a classic scene from the movie/musical Evita. Anne deffo puts her own spin on the part … which you have to see in the video clip below.

Anne starts out by singing the line, Don’t cry for me Kodak Theater … and then busts into a classic rap ditty from the 1990′s:

I’m thinkin’ the band Wreckx-N-Effect, who originally sing this song Rumpshaker, might be very impressed by Anne‘s rendition of their song. Yeah, I’m thinkin’ I’m really gonna love Anne Hathaway and James Franco as Oscar hosts. It really looks like this year’s show will be fun.

Nicole Richie Does Russian ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 04:13 PM PST

Stylish mama and fashion maven Nicole Richie is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Russian Harper’s Bazaar magazine. Even tho Nicole is very well known for her amazingly slick magazine photospreads, I have to say that this is IMHO one of her best. I am loving the color scheme and the tone of the photospread. She looks utterly fantastic!

The accompanying article is in Russian so it’s basically all Greek to me. The photos, on the other hand, are very obviously fabulous … in any language. Check em out:

I love the vintage/hypercolor feel … and the comic bookesque talk bubbles are a nice touch. This is a great spread. Nicole really does look great, don’t’ she?

James Franco & Anne Hathaway Star In ‘Grease’?

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 03:23 PM PST

James Franco has really been giving his new Twitter account a workout in the past few days. On Tuesday he shared an audio clip of him singing You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me from the Cher film Burlesque and today he shares a video clip from what looks like the set of Grease. In the clip, James is dressed up as Danny Zuko and his Oscar co-host Anne Hathaway is dressed as Sandy Olsson. Check it out.

It’s unclear exactly what this Grease thing will be. I could be a video that will be shown during the Academy Awards this Sunday night or it could turn out to be used as a promo commercial for the show. Watch the clip and see for yourselves:

It’s an odd clip … no sound, weird color … but I’m dying to know what it is. And I gotta say, James makes a great Danny and Anne doesn’t make a half-bad Sandy. What do you think of this video? Any guesses what it could be?

Robert Pattinson Poses For ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 02:20 PM PST

Twilight star Robert Pattinson will be featured in an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair magazine (prolly around the time his film Water for Elephants is released) and today we get to see a few photos of R. Pattz on the set of the shoot. Apparently, the photoshoot took place earlier this month in New Orleans, LA and he was shot by Annie Leibovitz. As you can see from the photos below, Rob decided/was forced to wear a cute little hat.

I mean … this is some funny shizz, y’all. As soon as I saw the hat, I knew it reminded me of a certain late 80′s pop starlet who also had a penchant for cute headwear:

Hahahaha … I’m sure the photos will turn out much cooler than they look in these candid photos … I mean, right? Oh Rob … how do you get talked into these things? LOL!

First Look: ‘The Hangover 2′ Releases A First Teaser Trailer

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 01:34 PM PST

Last November we got to see some spoilery photos from the set of The Hangover 2 and we even learned that former President Bill Clinton managed to film a cameo for the film … today we get our first look at the just-released teaser trailer for the much-anticipated sequel film The Hangover 2.

In "The Hangover 2," Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu's wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don't always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can't even be imagined.

LOL! I don’t even know why we need to bother with a movie premise for this film. The minor story about the “bachelor party” and the “wedding brunch” just get in the way of all the awesome and ridiculous mayhem. This first teaser doesn’t show much … but it does give a taste of what’s in store when The Hangover 2 opens Memorial Day weekend:

I fear for the monkey’s safety. My guess is that they are going to go balls to the wall (literally) for this sequel. I can’t wait to see what they come up with this time around.

Alyssa Milano Shows Debuts Her Baby Bump On The Red Carpet

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 12:57 PM PST

Yesterday we learned the very happy news that Alyssa Milano, who is married to David Bugliari, is pregs with her first child … today, we get to see the fruits of her announcement. Alyssa attended the Hollywood premiere of the new film Hall Pass in LA last night and proudly showed off her significantly big baby bump! Her Bump Watch has officially gotten underway!!

Her first trimester is over — and so far, so good for Alyssa Milano. "I feel really good," the actress, 38, told PEOPLE on Wednesday at the premiere of Hall Pass in Los Angeles. "I'm not sleeping great because of the many trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night. So, I don't know. I feel good, but if there's a time I feel like I need to slow down, I will." Milano says she and her husband, Dave Bugliari, 32, don't know the sex of the baby yet, but they've been talking about names since "before we even got pregnant." They do have a few favorites picked out, but Milano says: "I don't want to tell!" The actress says she actually found dressing for the premiere to be easier than usual, because the pressure's off. "I'm not as body conscious or concerned with the way I look," she says. "It's more about what's going to be comfortable versus what looks flattering. It's a whole different world that I'm enjoying a lot." She adds with a smile: "A muumuu? Perfect!" Otherwise, she hasn't really started preparing for the new baby, but that's going to change shortly. "Everyone says don't do anything the first trimester, because God forbid something happens," Milano says. "So, I haven't really done anything. I'm going to New York to do a part in New Year's Eve, and I'll be back home in three weeks, so I figure I'll start then."

Wow!! What a nice surprise! I cannot believe she managed to keep her pregnancy a secret for the entire first trimester … but job well done, Alyssa. It was very smart of her to make the pregnancy announcement before she hit the red carpet and showed off her bump … it sounds like everything was expertly timed to perfection. As I said yesterday, she will make a fantastic mother … no doubt. I can’t wait to see more pregs pics. I guess we’ve got a good 6 months of Bump Watch to look forward to before Alyssa and David‘s little bundle of joy graces us with her/his presence. And away we go!

And The Hits Just Keep On Comin’

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 12:33 PM PST

Last night our evening’s entertainment took place at Joe’s Pub where a group of David’s friends and we took in a live show called Our Hit Parade. Weekly, a group of NYC’s finest Illuminati of the arts perform renditions of the Top 10 Songs of the Week … to much hilarity. Before we went to the show, David and I grabbed dinner at Vynl with his sister Eden and then it was showtime!!

Vynl is a great place to eat, yes, but it’s a really fun place to just hang out. The menus are made out of record album covers and there is fun music memorabilia all around the restaurant. The most fun thing, I think, are the themed bathrooms. Last night, I used the facilities inside the Cher bathroom. ‘Twas oodles of fun, let me tell you.

After dinner, we made our way to Joe’s Pub for the Our Hit Parade performance:

The fun performances of the current Top 10 Songs was really fantastic … including the performance of Britney Spears‘s Hold It Against Me. Other songs by Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, etc. were also performed … including Lady Gaga‘s Born this Way performed by actor Paul Iacono (The Hard Times of RJ Berger) and P!nk‘s Fuckin’ Perfect performed by Jay Brannan. The show was a total hoot, we had a blast.

I have to give a huge shout-out to Pink reader Michelle who I met at the show last night (pictured above). She is visiting NYC from Minnesota and we just happened to run into her ;) She was a total doll and it was my pleasure getting to meet and take a photo with her :D

Tonight, a few of us are going to the first preview performance of the new Broadway musical The Book of Mormon which was written by Matt Stone and Trey Parker (South Park). Hmmm … I wonder how a show about Mormonism told from the perspective of the South Park guys will turn out … well, I guess I’ll find out later on tonight :) Today is our last full day here in NYC. Tomorrow night, we fly off to Berlin, Germany for a couple of weeks. David’s and my anniversary trip has only just begun ;)

Britney Spears & Sons Bid Adieu To Kentwood, Louisiana

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 10:32 AM PST

Last weekend, Britney Spears packed up her kiddies — Sean Preston and Jayden James — and her agent/beau Jason Trawick and made her way back home to Kentwood, LA for a quick visit with her family. During her stay, Britwick paid a visit to Sonic Drive-In and the Pizza Shack. But, alas, Brit‘s time in Kentwood has come to an end … she and boys have already made their way back home to SoCal.

Now, I love me some Britney — you know I do — but even I have to admit that her weave is lookin’ a bit too bedraggled in these photos. It’s clear that our dear Britney wasn’t at all interested in running a brush thru her hair before hitting the friendly skies, bound for home. I still love her to death tho … ratty hair extensions and all ;) Let’s hope that Britney is getting back to LA so she can do some promo for the release of her new album next month :)

Prince William & Kate Middleton Do Some Official Royal Business Together

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 10:13 AM PST

Prince William and Kate Middleton aren’t yet married but they have already started their official Royal duties together. Princess-to-be Kate accompanied Prince William earlier today on a visit to Wills‘s RNLI lifeboat station in her first ever event as a member of the Royal family. Clearly they are easing her into her duties but once she is married and officially a member of the Royal Family, this is the sort of thing she’ll be doing much more of in the near future.

Kate Middleton got a real taste of what life and her future Royal role have in store for her as she attended an official engagement with Prince William for the first time today. The couple braved the blustery winds and grey skies on the Welsh coast to visit an RNLI lifeboat station in Anglesey close to where the Prince is based as a search and rescue pilot. Miss Middleton was wearing a Philip Treacey headpiece with a three-quarter length a three-quarter length beige coat, with brown trimmings and suede boots. The Royal bride-to-be emerged laughing and smiling as she poured champagne over a lifeboat. Crowds of people had turned up early at the pretty dockside hoping to catch a glimpse of the pair together in public for first time. They waved to well-wishers as they stepped out of a Land Rover at the base. As they took their place on the podium as they arrived they exchanged glances and smiled at each other before singing both the English and Welsh national anthems. Onlookers said Kate appeared to have learnt all the words of the Welsh national anthem in advance of the visit as she sang it faultlessly. Mingling with dignitaries today and accepting gifts and cards from the assembled Union flag-waving crowd, she showed a lightness of touch and winning approachability. In his address to the 2,000-strong crowd Prince William paid tribute to rescuers working in Christchurch, New Zealand to clear up following the powerful earthquake. Her helicopter pilot partner William, stationed at the Anglesey RAF base, thanked the volunteer search and rescue teams for their continued life-saving work. After meeting dignitaries at the Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station, Miss Middleton poured the bottle of bubbly over the new Hereford Endeavour. A palace spokesman said today was the couple’s first official engagement where Miss Middleton had been invited as a guest of honour. He said: ‘They (Prince William and Miss Middleton) asked for their first joint engagement to be in Anglesey. Then the lifeboat station approached us about the new lifeboat and, given that Prince William is a search and rescue pilot and at some point is very likely to be working with crew, it seemed appropriate.’

Awww … I love this!! They look really good together … and this is just the start of their life together as a Royal couple. Today they are pouring champagne on lifeboats, next they’ll be doing more significantly royal things. Kate will make a great princess, you can just tell.

Ryan Gosling & George Clooney Begin Filming A New Movie Together

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 09:18 AM PST

Elder actor George Clooney and the much younger Ryan Gosling surfaced together on the Cincinnati, OH set of their new film The Ides of March. As I understand it, the film is a political drama about dirty campaigning or something like that. I believe the dynamic is that Gosling‘s character will be working for Clooney‘s character. Whatever the case may be, the film promises that a whole lotta inter-generational hotness will be had.

I think it’s safe to say that George Clooney is still a pretty big heartthrob of the older set while Ryan Gosling is much beloved by the younger set. It’s a genius move to cast them both in the same film. I doubt we’ll get to see any exciting photos from this movie set in the coming weeks but The Ides of March sounds like an interesting film to keep an eye out for. What do y’all think of this pairing … do you love it?

Beyoncé Does ‘L’Officiel Paris’ Magazine

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 08:45 AM PST

Beyoncé is causing a stir with a new photospread she did for the new issue of L’Officiel Paris magazine. As you can see from the photos below, the theme of the photospread is centered on B‘s African heritage but some people are taking issue with the fact that in some of the photos Beyoncé is wearing blackface make-up. Some people are of the mind that blackface is NEVER OK … not even if done by black men or women. Check out the photos below and see what you think of B‘s new photospread.

She was recently accused of looking ‘too white’ – but now Beyoncé has donned black face make-up for a shoot in French fashion magazine L'Officiel Paris. In their 90th-anniversary issue, the Crazy In Love star takes inspiration from African culture and wears head wraps as well as tribal-style clothing and accessories – and she is seen with her caramel skintones darkened by heavy make-up. Respected fashion magazine L’Officiel has defended the shoot, saying in a statement that Beyoncé was ‘paying homage to African queens’ and as a ‘return to her African roots, as you can see on the picture, on which her face was voluntarily darkened.’ The magazine added: ‘As for the artistic make-up, the inspiration came from several African rituals during which paint is used on the face. We find the images beautiful and inspiring. The designs are all reflective of the African influence on fashion this season.’ L’Officiel continued: ‘Miss Knowles poses with royal allure. A queen, a goddess, Beyoncé is a bombshell beauty with a divine voice.’ There’s been no statement yet from Beyoncé’s people.

You may recall that will.i.am caught the same kind of flak after he wore dark black make-up during his performance of Check It Out with Nicki Minaj at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards last Fall. Here are a few of Beyoncé‘s photos from the L’Officiel Paris magazine spread:

And here is a French news report that features some behind-the-scenes video from the shoot:

I honestly do not know how I feel about this at all. I’ve had discussions with some of my friends about this and some are of the mind that all blackface is derogatory and racist, no matter the ethnicity of the person wearing it. I’m not sure I totally believe that myself. To me, will.i.am‘s make-up choice had nothing really to do with the concept of “blackface”. He was just a black man (who is actually brown in color) wearing totally black make-up. In this instance, tho, it’s clear by the “African heritage” tone of the photoshoot that the make-up is meant to have an “African” feel. I’m curious to hear what all y’all think of this shoot. Are you offended by it? Do you like it? Is all of this much ado about nothing or is it a serious issue that should be discussed?

Daniel Radcliffe Is Gettin’ Back Into Broadway Shape

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 08:21 AM PST

Last weekend we saw photos and video from Daniel Radcliffe‘s appearance in the new issue of Vogue magazine, which highlights his return to the Broadway stage. Today we get to see a couple of behind the scenes photos from rehearsals where DanRad is prepping for his leading role in the new revival production of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. For this role, Dan has to sing and dance … something that is new for him … but, I understand, something he’s been able to master swimmingly.

Jon Hamm, move over. The latest looker to leap back into the 1960s: Daniel Radcliffe, who is assuming the musical role of quintessential company man J. Pierrepont Finch in the new Broadway revival of the 1961 classic How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. As shown in these exclusive-to-PEOPLE rehearsal shots, Radcliife is already off and running ahead of the chorus. As Finch, he starts in the mailroom of Manhattan’s World Wide Wicket and works his way up the corporate ladder. En route, he meets the adoring secretary Rosemary Pilkington – played by Philadelphia-born Rose Hemingway … In the production, which marks Radcliffe’s return to the Great White Way for the first time since starring in a 2008 revival of Equus – Anderson Cooper narrates Finch’s meteoric rise … and fall. “Anderson Cooper just always stood out for me,” the Harry Potter star, 21, says on the How to Succeed Web site about the CNN anchor. “He always had this kind of really cool … playful glint behind his eye, I think, which I always found quite funny.” Also in the cast: John Larroquette, as J.B. Biggley, the boss of the World Wide Wicket Company, who admires Finch’s fortitude. Previews begin Feb. 26 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, with the opening night set for March 27.

Man, I am SO bummed I’m missing previews for this show. David and I leave NYC one day before previews begin for this production of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. I have absolutely no doubt that Daniel will be fantastic in this role. Even tho Dan isn’t a singer and dancer (yet), I have every confidence that he will deffo rise to the occasion. I was so impressed with DanRad in Equus, I am really certain that he will be just as good or better in How To Succeed. I am hoping to get back to NYC after this show opens so I can see this show for myself. To be honest, some of those backup dancers in the first photo are reason enough to want to see this show … but, I’ll deffo be seeing it for DanRad.

Lindsay Lohan & Fam Step Out For A Post-Court Outing

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 07:03 AM PST

Shortly after Lindsay Lohan appeared in California court for a hearing concerning her felony grand theft charge this week, Linds sneaked out of her Venice, CA apartment to enjoy an outing with her family, including mother Dina Lohan and little brother Dakota Cody Lohan. Clearly unfazed by the real possibility that she will be going back to jail for her crimes, L. Lo and co. decided to hit the town as if it was any other day.

I gotta say … I just don’t understand how this girl’s brain operates. If I were facing serious charges against me that have a real chance of sending me back to jail — or even prison — I think I would be hiding away at home, buried under the covers, praying for my freedom. I know I wouldn’t be flippantly wearing scantily-clad clothing in court nor would I be up for hanging out all over town as if everything was fine and dandy. I really think this sense of entitlement will come back to bite Lindsay in the ass. I’m certain she doesn’t actually believe she’ll be held accountable for anything that she does … which is how she gets into trouble in the first place. If my daughter was in this much trouble, I wouldn’t be hanging out with her on holiday, relishing in all of the attention (cough *Dina* cough). UGH. These people are so dumbfounding! I just don’t get it at all.

Plans Have Been Announced To Remake The 1992 Film ‘The Bodyguard’

Posted: 24 Feb 2011 06:36 AM PST

Proving, once again, that there really are no new ideas in Hollywood comes news that Warner Bros. is planning to remake the 90′s classic film The Bodyguard which stars Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. As you may know, The Bodyguard tells the semi-romantic tale of a hard-nosed and deadly serious bodyguard (Costner) and a resistant and flippant female celebrity whose life he has been sworn to protect (Houston). Is the world already ready to see that story again?

Warner Bros is rebooting its 1992 hit The Bodyguard, the film that paired Kevin Costner with Whitney Houston and became for its time one of the biggest global hits in studio history with a $411 million worldwide gross. The film will be scripted by Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer, whose action comedy script Family Getaway made the 2010 Black List and is a priority project at Warner Bros. Dan Lin will produce through his Lin Pictures banner, and Mark Bauch is co-producer … The new version is similar [to the original], including the love story, but here the bodyguard will be a former Iraq war veteran who gets the job protecting the star as his first gig after leaving the Army. He discovers that the world of Twitter, Google Maps and TMZ has made access to celebrities easier than ever, making the job more difficult than ever. The goal is to take a young female singer with global appeal and give her the platform that The Bodyguard did Houston.

News of this Bodyguard remake is coming out after WB announced previously that they are also remaking A Star is Born to be directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Beyoncé. At this point, to be honest, I’m tired of complaining about the lack of originality. These remakes are going to continue to be made whether we like it or not. I guess it just becomes a matter of hoping for the best and seeing what comes from these updated remakes. The soundtrack to The Bodyguard, recorded by Whitney Houston, is the most successful movie soundtrack of all time. Whitney‘s version of I Will Always Love You (originally by Dolly Parton) was a MONSTER smash hit song:

I’d bet good money that this remake will feature a cover of that cover song. Again, there is nothing new under the Sun.

I LOVE the original film but it does look really dated after all these years. I’m curious to see how this remake turns out. What do y’all think? Does this Bodyguard remake sound interesting to you?
