First Listen: Dr. Luke Releases A Short Snippet Of A New Britney Spears Song Titled ‘How I Roll’

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 09:11 PM PST

Femme Fatale album co-executive producer Lukasz Dr. Luke Gottwald just released a new snippet of Britney Spears music from a track apparently titled How I Roll. According to the tweets that preceded the snippet’s release, this track was written/produced by Bloodshy & Avant (the men responsible for Britney‘s massive single Toxic). Take a listen to a small bit of NEW Britney Spears music below.

i just might be feeling like giving u another snippet ….. maybe…. / should it be a bloodshy and avant song??? / something like that

LOVING this clip! In fact, I am loving all of the snippets that Dr. Luke has released thus far. In case you missed them, Inside Out can be heard HERE and I Wanna Go can be heard HERE. These song snippets are MUCH more exciting than the 14 music video clips from Hold It Against Me. This album already sounds so exciting … based on just these short little teases. I can’t wait to hear more. March 29 can’t get here soon enough for me. What do y’all think? Do you love this snippet?

Kellan Lutz Just Isn’t Beefy Enough

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 06:33 PM PST

It’s been a while since we’ve seen photos of Kellan Lutz out and about in SoCal doing his thang. Usually we see him running around town with his dogs but today we get to see photos of the very beefy Lutz making his way into the gym. You can tell he’s in for a serious work-out because he is wearing his serious work-out gloves. It’s hard to imagine that a guy as big as Kellan still wants to get bigger but … I guess bigger is better.

You may recall that last week we saw photos of Zac Efron workin’ out at the gym and altho he’s not nearly as beefy as Kellan is, it’s clear he is working toward a beefier goal. Maybe after running into Kellan at the Calvin Klein fashion show in NYC a few days ago, Zac got inspired to bulk up? Kellan here, bless his heart, is just so big. I don’t mind a bulky guy … but do you think there is such a thing as too beefy?

Justin Bieber Will Be Immortalized In Wax

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 05:36 PM PST

So … I know that a great many of people out there are missing the sight of Justin Bieber and his longer, moppish hair (which he so carelessly cut off earlier this week) but I’ve got good news for those people. Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum is planning to immortalize the little popstar (hair and all) in a series of wax statues. Bieber himself got measured for the wax tributes in his honor … making for a couple of really funny photos.

Following the release of the highly anticipated 3-D documentary Never Say Never, Madame Tussauds today announced that Grammy-nominated POP/R&B singing-sensation Justin Bieber will be the next celebrity to be immortalized in wax. Bieber’s figure will make its world debut this March at three Madame Tussauds attractions—New York, London and Amsterdam. "I’m honored to be getting my own wax figures at Madame Tussauds New York, London and Amsterdam," Bieber said. "To be immortalized in wax alongside some of my idols – Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyonce and my mentor, Usher- is incredibly exciting and very cool." Bieber was an enthusiastic participant of the four month-long figure creation process, spending time with a team of Madame Tussauds studio artists who took hundreds of precise measurements and photos of the singer to ensure the figure captures his signature style and of course, his signature locks. "Justin Bieber is one of today’s biggest stars, and we are thrilled to be able to give his fans and our visitors – who have been requesting that we create Justin’s figure since he burst onto the scene – a preview of his wax likeness before its world premiere in March," said Bret Pidgeon, General Manager Madame Tussauds New York. With over 9 million albums sold worldwide at just 16 years old, Justin Bieber’s star continues to rise. He has won four American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year; he was also nominated for two Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist; published a New York Times best seller, First Step 2 Forever; and guest starred on "Shaq Vs." and "CSI". With millions of fans that have caught "Bieber Fever," Justin is admired for his talent, charm and generous support of charities such as Pencils of Promise.

Over the weekend, the Biebs attended the Sportie LA NBA All Star event benefiting Nothing but Nets and as you can see … his hair was still in full effect:

It has not yet been announced when this Bieber wax statue will be released but … I’m sure we’ll be seeing it sooner rather than later. Who’s excited?

Michael Lohan Flies To Florida To Help Troubled Teens

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 04:22 PM PST

For some reason totally unknown to me, Michael Lohan — trainwreck father of his even more trainwrecky daughter Lindsay Lohanwas asked to counsel troubled rehabbing teens in Florida. As a result, Lohan flew across the country to talk to the young kids before he flew back early this morning to attend Lindsay‘s felony grand theft court hearing. All in a days’ work for Daddy Lohan.

Michael Lohan has flown to a Florida rehab centre to perform “interventions”. The father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan — who was ordered to spend 90 days in rehab last year after failing a court-ordered drug test — flew to the Inspirations for Youth and Families clinic to work alongside people living at the facility and also film a commercial to promote it. He told website RadarOnline.com: “I’m going to be doing interventions. Lindsay is 100 per cent behind what I’m doing and I look forward to this entire journey not only with my family but with the Inspiration youth programme as well.” Michael attempted to stage an “intervention” on Lindsay last April, flying to Los Angeles in a bid to get her to enter rehab, after he believed she was addicted to prescription drugs — prompting an angry reaction from Lindsay who referred to him as her “ex dad” and accused him of ruining his own brain with drugs. However, the pair later reconciled their differences and Michael — who is also father to Ali, 17, Cody, 14, and 23-year-old Michael Jr. with ex-wife Dina — recently spoke of how proud he is of Lindsay for finally facing up to her substance abuse problem. He said: “We went to an AA meeting last night then went home and had a quiet night. “She changed back to the girl she used to be. When she was at her best — literally. She’s done a 180 and I’m very proud of her.”

This has to be the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard … in my life! Unless Lohan was held as an example of what horribleness comes from addiction, I don’t think he has any business counseling troubled teens. Haven’t these troubled kids suffered enough? I don’t think anyone deserves to have to listen to Michael Lohan talk about anything … ever.

Elton John & Son Zachary Jackson Levon Surface In Hawaii

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 02:38 PM PST

Last month we got our first look at the newborn son of Elton John and his husband David Furnish and today we get to see photos of little Zachary Jackson Levon on holiday with his famous fathers. As you can see in the photos below, it is impossible for Elton NOT to show how happy he is to be father to little Zachary.

At the age of almost 64, fatherhood has come late to Sir Elton John – but he is enjoying making up for lost time. His delight in parental duties was evident as he and partner David Furnish enjoyed their first beach holiday with eight-week-old Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John. The couple are in Hawaii, where the legendary performer will play two concerts this week. Sir Elton, who will be called Daddy, and 48-year-old Furnish, who will be called Papa, became parents through a surrogate mother on Christmas Day Last week Sir Elton, who is worth £185million, told how he wants Zachary to have 'a solid old-fashioned childhood'. He added: 'I so value my own childhood now, and the sense of wonder and personal discovery that I enjoyed, that we want to give Zachary – as much as we possibly can – the same thing.’ Sir Elton – who once spent £293,000 on flowers in a 20-month period – went on: 'I know it'll be hard with my life, but we want him to have that same normality and for things in life to have real value. 'So we don't intend to spoil him – we're going to try to give him a fun, carefree time of innocence, freedom, love and stability.' And in an interview with the Today show earlier this month, he said he was going to enjoy the challenge of bringing up Zachary. He said: ‘I thought, "You know what? I'm going to try it. I'm sure as much as I can give him, he's going to give me a thousand-fold back. Already, in seven weeks he's done that.'

After last month’s horrible blogpost about that Arkansas grocery store that decided to censor the sight of Elton, David and Zachary as a happy family, I’m glad that I’m able to follow up with these much happier, totally adorable photos. I can’t even get over how cute little Zac is. I know it’s impossible to know just yet but I am certain that this baby has Elton‘s genes. This little butterball looks exactly like Elton. I’m not sure how “normal” Zachary‘s upbringing will be but … I do commend Elton John for at least saying he’s gonna try for normalcy. Aren’t these just the cutest pics?

Alyssa Milano Is Pregs!

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 01:23 PM PST

Congratulations are in order for Alyssa Milano and her husband David Bugliari … because according to People magazine, they are PREGNANT with their first child! As you may recall, Alyssa and David got married back in August of 2009 … so it seems like the perfect time for the couple to start a family. Woot!!

Alyssa Milano is going to be a mom! The actress, 38, and her husband Dave Bugliari, 32, are expecting their first child, Milano’s rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. “They’re just over the moon,” says a friend of the Who’s The Boss and Charmed alum, who’s due in early fall. “They are so excited.” Milano and Bugliari – an agent at the Creative Artists Agency – wed in August 2009 in New Jersey after meeting three years prior.

This is such exciting news! I couldn’t be happier for the parents-to-be. I know that Alyssa is going to make a fantastic mother. I am really looking forward to the official commencement of Alyssa‘s Bump Watch! Let’s send all of our love and congrats to the happy couple today!

Eight Arms To Hold You

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 12:59 PM PST

Yesterday was a pretty fun but bizzy day. I managed to do a bit of shopping on 5th Ave. yesterday and picked up a few things at Diesel (my fave store) before David and I met up with his friends Jeremy, Shane and Isaac for pre-Spider-Man drinks. Then we saw Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark (read my review HERE). Then we met up with our friends Paul, Yale, Marissa and Isaac (again) for post-Spider-Man drinks. I’m not saying that Turn Off the Dark drove us to drink but … yeah, there was a lot of drinking ;)

You’re really not supposed to take photos inside the theater but I couldn’t resist. The third photo above is of the ceiling above our seats. Those cables are how the players flew overhead. We really were in mortal danger all night long. One snap and we’d've been squashed like, well, bugs.

The aftershow hang was really fun. I’m so bummed I didn’t take any pics with Paul (and original member of Le GangTM who used to live in LA and now lives here in NYC) and Yale but, yeah, with all that drinking I kinda forgot. We had a fun night of theater and friends :D

Tonight, we are going to Joe’s Pub for some show and hopefully dinner with our friend Lisa. Our NYC adventure, tho cold, has been such a blast thus far! Wee!!

Theater Review: ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 11:28 AM PST

So last night, after many months of blogging about the show as it was being made and thru all of the calamities and set-backs that have occurred since the show opened in previews last November, I finally got the chance to see Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark for myself. Based on all of the terrible reviews of the show, I must admit that my expectations were pretty low going in … but as a huge Spider-Man fan, I couldn’t help but be excited to see the show with my own eyes.

Now, please bear with me … I am not comfortable revealing big plot points or surprises about the show so as not to spoil the experience for any of y’all still planning to see the show, so my review will focus on generalities. Let’s start off with the good things about the show. Without question, the flying acrobatic and aerial stunts are amazing to see in action. As far as I know, no one was injured in last night’s show nor where there any delays, malfunctions or obvious mistakes. We sat 3 rows from the stage (actually, my aisle seat had no seats in front of me and the stage) in the “flying zone” and absolutely oohed and ahhed as the players took flight directly above us, behind us and all around us. If the show could be 2 hours of just flying acrobatics, it could be the best show ever. Whenever any of the characters, both good and bad, are suspended in the air — you feel that Broadway magic. Unfortch, the flying is only about 10-20% of the show. It’s the rest of the stuff that is problematic for the show.

Which brings me to the bad stuff about the show … I mean, where to begin. The music by U2 is far and away the worst thing about the show. None of the songs have melodies and the lyrics are trite and just garbage. I couldn’t even tell you which of the songs I liked because they were all terrible. I will say the Spider-Man theme music used in the show from time to time makes a great riff and works thematically but none (and I mean NONE) of the other music/songs are good. The story is just dumb. Act 1 is silly, Act 2 is better … but still silly. To me, the stage sets looked cheap … many of them looked like high school musical props. I kid you not, in one scene Peter Parker is actually wrestling with an inflatable balloon. $65 million dollars and that’s the best they could come up with? Act 2 featured really fantastic video screen sets … which I was impressed by. There needs to be more of those screens and less of the cardboard-looking sets that that are meant to look “comic book”y but end up just looking cheap. The costumes were OK but nothing as revolutionary as the ones that director Julie Taymor created for The Lion King. As a Spider-Man fan, I wasn’t really impressed with the way the characters were portrayed … Peter Parker comes across as flat, bland and not someone you really want to root for. Mary Jane Watson is really one dimensional and forgettable. J. Jonah Jameson is wasted in this musical. His character is so fun … just not so in this show. The most upsetting thing to me was Aunt May … they turned her into an annoying shrew rather than a loving mother figure. The best character, hands down, is the Green Goblin. He is suitably hammy, kinda funny and a total scene stealer. As for Arachne (yes, THE Arachne of Greek myth) the other major villain in the show, well, she never really made sense to me. When she and her minions sing the song about buying shoes for all of their legs … I literally wanted to stick pins in my eyes to make the awful go away. As for the other villains — Carnage, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, The Lizard, Swarm and Swiss Miss — they are used in the show more like props than actual characters. I doubt they were on stage for 10 full minutes.

The two children we saw in the audience looked bored (one girl fell asleep) and rightfully so … the story is totally uninteresting. If there ain’t someone flying around the theater in this show, there’s nothing else worth staying awake for. BUT, the aerial stuff is really really freaking cool. I’m not sure the ticket prices justify going just for the flying stuff but … I’m glad I saw the show and, to be honest, if changes are made to the show (as I hear they are), I would see it again.

The merchandise is really fun … but, again, you can enjoy all of it without even having to see the show (and it can be bought HERE). I picked up a few t-shirts and a hoodie. So, yeah … that’s my take on the show. The bad stuff is really, really bad … but the good stuff is really, really good. If you get to see the show without any injury or incident …

… then you’re deffo one of the lucky ones ;) For the most part, I really agree with the review published by The New York Times … $65 million dollars really does look nonexistent in this show. Here’s hoping they can figure out a way to turn this show into something really worth seeing. You can see glimmers of how awesome it can be … but they’re just not there yet. Maybe someday they’ll get it right.

Zac Efron Surfaces On The NYC Set Of His New Film

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 10:47 AM PST

Zac Efron has made his way to NYC this week to begin filming a new movie titled New Year’s Eve and as you can see from the photos below, Zac seems to be taking the bitter cold weather all in stride. You will also note that Zac’s buzzed hair is already growing out. Still, homie is lookin’ good.

Personally, I prefer seeing photos of Zac back home in LA because the warmer weather usually results in his need to wear less clothing. But, even with all the clothes … he’s still hot. Nice hat, Zac! Love it!!

Anne Hathaway & James Franco Do ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ Magazine

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 10:31 AM PST

Oscar co-hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco are featured on the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine — The Oscar Issue, obvs. Additionally, The Hollywood Reporter is dishing on the 8 new changes that are being made to the Academy Awards this year. Read on for a sneak peek at what’s in store for the big Oscars show that will take place in Hollywood, CA this Sunday night.

Moms of Oscar Nominees: To truly humanize the Oscars, the producers enlisted nine moms and one grandmom (Franco’s) to follow along the telecast on their Twitter accounts. Otherwise known as Mominees — don’t expect impartial tweets.

The Dynamic Hosts: Hathaway, 28, and Franco, 32, are two of the youngest hosts to front the Oscars. Their youth will invite the viewers along for the ride. “They are not untouchable, they are not unreachable,” says Cohen. “We hope they will offer the audience a way in.”

Two Hosts, Two Sexes: There has never been a male-female duo who physically shared the same Oscar stage in the history of the broadcasts. Although plenty of actresses have shared emcee duties, they’ve all been part of tag-team groups of three- or four-host combos. Other opposite-sex hosts have been part of bicoastal telecasts — with one in New York and one in Los Angeles. So having a male-female duo interacting in person would be a genuine first.

Virtual Reality Set: The producers abandoned the idea of a traditional set altogether to enter a world of virtual reality via a series of “projections” designed to give the show a constantly-changing look. The virtual end goal is for Franco and Hathaway to take viewers on a trip through Hollywood history with six or seven scenic transitions. “The hope is that we briefly leave the Kodak in 2011 — not literally but metaphorically — and take the audience,” says Cohen.

One Entire School Choir: The P.S. 22 Chorus, an elementary school chorus from Staten Island, N.Y., will make a joyous musical appearance on the show. The kids will sing “Over the Rainbow.” “This year you get to see what it would be like to be a 10-year-old and to get to perform on the Oscars,” says Cohen.

No Movie Montages: The directors have jettisoned this familiar element — like last year’s salute to horror films. These have added to the show’s seemingly endless running time. There will still be clips from the 10 best picture nominees and brief filmed introductions to certain segments.

The Five-Presenter Testimonial: Gone, too, will be the relatively new tradition, established just two years ago, of using five presenters to offer testimonials about each of the best actor and actress nominees. “We’re not going to do that this year,” Cohen confirms.

The Return of Nominated Song Performances: The producers decided to reinstitute a tradition that was scrapped last year: individual performances of the four nominated songs. Randy Newman will perform his “We Belong Together,” from Toy Story 3; Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, who sang the duet “I See the Light” on the Tangled soundtrack, will reteam with composer Alan Menken; and Gwyneth Paltrow, who sings “Coming Home” in Country Strong, will reprise it. Because Dido, who was nominated with Rollo Armstrong and A.R. Rahman for “If I Rise” from 127 Hours, was not available, the producers have drafted Florence Welch from Florence + the Machine to appear with Rahman.

Some of these changes sound really interesting … some do not … and some could be total disasters — I mean, the virtual reality set could either be a big hit or just really dumb. I can absolutely appreciate that the producers are trying new things this year in an effort to breathe new life into the show. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how all of this new stuff works with the traditional stuff. Which of these changes seem most interesting to you?

Lindsay Lohan Refuses Plea Bargain, May Go To Jail For Her Theft Charge [UPDATE]

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 10:06 AM PST

Lindsay Lohan appeared in court this morning to go before the judge, again, for the ongoing case of felony grand theft brought against her. L. Lo, in a plunging neckline, showed to court and was in and out relatively quickly. The District Attorney arguing the case against Lindsay has offered a plea bargain to settle the case but because any bargain on the table would require jailtime, Lindsay refuses to take the deal. As a result, the case will go to trial and this saga of the stolen necklace will continue.

Lindsay Lohan just got the word from the judge — if she accepts a plea bargain, she WILL go to jail. TMZ broke the story this morning … the judge will throw Lindsay in jail if she accepts a plea bargain. Judge Keith Schwartz told the famous defendant bluntly, “I don’t care that you’re Lindsay Lohan.” Judge Schwartz did not say how much jail time Lindsay would do if she cops a plea. And, Judge Schwartz wants a psychological evaluation that will help him understand what makes Lindsay tick and what particular sentence is appropriate. The judge explained … if Lindsay pleads guilty or no contest, it will be an automatic admission she violated her probation. And the judge announced what TMZ first reported … Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers made a formal offer to settle the case. Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, will noodle over the offer before deciding, but the judge indicated Lindsay’s probably not going to accept the D.A.’s offer. As we reported, Meyers wants significant jail time. If Lindsay doesn’t accept a plea, she’ll stand trial and if she’s found guilty she could get 1 year in state prison. Lindsay is back in court on March 10. She has the option of pleading guilty and basically throwing herself at the court’s mercy.

It’s looking more and more like Lindsay will be going back to jail at some point. The only way she can avoid jail, I think, is if she is able to convince the court that she did NOT steal the necklace by winning her case. If she takes any plea bargain, she is going to jail. If she loses her case, she is REALLY going to jail. But, Lindsay seems hellbent on proving that she didn’t steal the necklace so … onward goes the case. She does have the option of changing her mind between now and March 10 (the date of her next court hearing) but it sounds like she wants no part of any deal that means she will have to go back to jail.

As for the circus earlier today, I was very surprised to see that Michael Lohan was at court considering he was just in Florida yesterday. Lohan flew in (where he was counseling rehabbing teens, if you can believe it) this morning so that he could attend the hearing in support of his daughter:

If there are lights, cameras and microphones, you better believe Michael Lohan can’t be far away. But, getting back to Lindsay … today’s court hearing was pretty in-and-out. Her next court date should be more significant. If she totally refuses to plea bargain and/or plead guilty, she is going to trial! And another Lohan courtroom saga will commence.

UPDATE: Oh yeah, it’s really sounding like Lindsay will be going back to jail sometime soon. It turns out that the District Attorney’s plea bargain deal involves 6 months of jail! Now we know why Lindsay is adamantly refusing to take the deal. And, even if she does go to trial and is found not guilty, she’ll still have to be punished for violating her probation … which means jail:

Sources connected with the Lindsay Lohan case tell TMZ … the offer Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers made to Lindsay’s lawyer in chambers was SIX MONTHS in jail. Judge Keith Schwartz said in open court he had a feeling Shawn Holley would pass on the D.A.’s offer. That’s because Lindsay will not accept jail time — at least not now. But here’s why we’re almost positive Lindsay will eventually cop a plea. She is going to jail no matter what. The judge ruled Lindsay’s preliminary hearing and probation violation case will be heard at the same time. At the end of the preliminary hearing, if the judge feels it’s more likely than not that she stole the necklace, Lindsay will be thrown in jail immediately while she awaits trial on the grand theft case. So even if Lindsay is ultimately found not guilty at trial, she’ll still be in jail for the probation violation. Short story … it’s likely Holley will plead guilty or no contest on behalf of her client, and then hope the judge gives Lindsay less than 6 months.

Homegirl is screwed. It’s unlikely she’ll get 6 months in jail but, yeah, she’s very likely going back to the pokey for at least some sentence of time. Dang.

Rosie O’Donnell & Tracy Kachtick-Anders Are Dunzo!

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 09:24 AM PST

Back in late 2009, we learned that Rosie O’Donnell found herself a new girlfriend to love and over the following months, a partner to build a family with. Today we learn the sad news, courtesy of The New York Post, that Rosie and her ladylove Tracy Kachtick-Anders have ended their relationship. Some are suggesting that the women have decided to stay friends but it really does sound like Rosie and Tracy are dunzo!

Rosie O’Donnell has split with her girlfriend of over a year, Tracy Kachtick- Anders, sources tell Page Six. The comedienne, multimedia star and former TV talk-show host, who has four children, confirmed in January last year that she was dating Tracy, a Texas artist and mother of six. She made the announcement after they were spotted holding hands in Miami in December 2009, and soon their combined brood of 10 kids became one big family. But sources tell us they recently parted ways, with Tracy living at a separate house with her children, while she and Rosie, who lives in Nyack and on Miami’s Star Island, remain on good terms. A rep for O’Donnell told us, “Rosie and Tracy never officially lived under one roof. They have lived near one another for quite some time, and their families still socialize and they see each other frequently.” But a source said, “They have definitely split up, but it is very complicated because their kids are very close. They still spend a lot of time together.” The insider noted that Rosie still has pictures of her and Tracy together on her blog.

Yes, in fact, Rosie uploaded a new photo with Tracy on her blog just today:

It really sounds like Rosie and Tracy are much better off as friends (with benefits?) and it sounds like a good idea, for the sake of their collective 10 kids, that the ladies play nice. I, personally, always thought that Rosie and Tracy made a nice couple …. it’s a shame that they just couldn’t make their romantic relationship work out. Sad.

Watch: Taylor Swift Releases An Asian Tour Video

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 08:20 AM PST

Yesterday we saw photos of Taylor Swift ending her Asian Tour with a live performance in Hong Kong and today we get to check out a fun 10-minute video that Taylor put together of her entire Asian Tour. Staring off at home in Nashville, TN, Taylor filmed her journey along the way as she visited country after country. It’s actually a cute video to watch, even if you’re not a big Taylor Swift music fan.

Intermixed with live concert footage, we get to see some of the fun things that Taylor and her tour crew got up to in between shows. It really looks like they had a lot of fun along the way:

I have always wanted to visit the far East … and I know I will get there someday. This video makes me want to go there RIGHT NOW … but, David and I are leaving for Berlin, Germany on Friday so … maybe someday soon. Even tho I’m not big on Taylor‘s music, I still really enjoyed watching this video. Any Swift fans in the hiz? What do you think of this video?

Are Kanye West & Justin Bieber Collaborating?

Posted: 23 Feb 2011 07:23 AM PST

Last night, a summit of two of the most powerful men in the music world came together for a possible musical collaboration that could possibly change the landscape of the arts. Well, actually, it was a summit of one and a half of the most powerful men in the music world and their possible collaboration could turn out to be a flash in the pan. Whatever the case may be, the fact remains … Kanye West and Justin Bieber got together in the studio this week … and Kanye tweeted about it last night.

My new beat protege

As you can see, Bieber is sporting his shorter hair’do, so the photo was likely taken yesterday. As for what Kanye and the Biebs have in store for us musically, well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. As you may recall, when Kanye hooked up with Jared Leto in the studio, the pair collaborated on a remix of the 30 Seconds to Mars song Hurricane. Might a Bieber remix of Baby be in the cards? Stay tuned.

When last we saw Madonna‘s eldest daughter Lourdes Maria here on the blog, she and her mother were at the launch of their Material Girl clothing line back in September. Now, it’s a new year, a new season and new opportunity to promote the line … and to do so, Madonna has allowed Lola to give her first television interview ever. Lola sat down with Access Hollywood Live to talk a bit about the Material Girl clothing line, revealing that she and Maddy like to raid one another’s closets. This video is a must see.

Madonna might be a style icon – but according to daughter Lourdes Leon, the singer likes to get some of looks from her 14-year-old's closet! Access Hollywood recently caught up with Lourdes – nicknamed Lola by her mom – to chat about the evolution of her style, her and her Mom's Material Girl fashion line (with Kelly Osbourne as the line's new face) and what the singer takes from her daughter's wardrobe. "I used to look at the outfits that I wore when I was 11 and I was like, 'That's really ugly,'" the 14-year-old budding style-maker told Access. "I mean, I just thought I was the coolest kid ever and actually wasn't." Lola revealed that Madonna can be found in her closet from time to time. "She does actually… [and] I go into her closet. I'm not supposed to take things without asking, but she's always taking things without asking," she explained. "I mean, she gets mad at me when I take things without asking her, but… she has such amazing like clothes, so it's like kind of annoying sometimes." And what exactly does the Material Mom like to borrow from her daughter? "She wears my shoes a lot and she wears my accessories," Lola added. In 2010, Madonna told Access that she usually loses the battle over fashion with her daughter. "Everyone once in a while she'll like something and I'll go, 'OMG! No way Lola. You can't wear that!' And then she'll put it on herself and she'll make it work and talk me into it. It's hard to say no to Lola," the Material Mom said at the time.

Over the years, we’ve seen photos of Lola growing up … and last year, we got to “hear” from her in the official blog posts she would write for the Material Girl blog but this is the first time that we actually get to hear from the girl herself. Check out the video interview below:

She is so cute! It is crazy that the little baby that Madonna birthed 14 years ago is already an accomplished young woman. I’m certain we’ll be hearing more from Lourdes Maria in the coming years. She strikes me as a very well-spoken and cool kid. So cool, yeah?
