Taylor Momsen Wears An ‘I F**k For Satan’ T-Shirt In Toronto

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 01:49 PM PST

Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed a show at a rock club called Tattoo in Toronto, Canada last night and, as you can see from the photos below, she went ALL out to look all hardcore and badass on stage. Wearing a tank top that reads I Fuck for Satan, a pair of skimpy pleather undies and not much else, Taylor really let her inner wild child come out and play.

LOL. I get that the girl is trying to put out an image of toughness and rockerstarness but nothing says you’re trying too hard like wearing Satan on your t-shirt. I mean … really. If the photos above aren’t enough for you, check out this short clip of Taylor on stage performing the song Zombie last night:

Oh, Taylor … you are so silly. Does any of this make any of y’all believe that Miss Momsen is as badass as she would like you to believe?

Watch: Charlie Sheen Admits, ‘Yeah, I Am On A Drug …’

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 01:33 PM PST

ABC News has scored the first television interview with the lately very crazy Charlie Sheen which they plan to air in full this coming Tuesday night in a special edition of 20/20. Excerpts from the interview will air on ABC‘s Good Morning America tomorrow and Tuesday but we’ll have to wait until that night to see the full interview. Today, tho, we do get to see a short preview promo video that teases the interview … and, as you can guess, it’s chock fully of Sheen‘s trainwrecky craziness. Check it out below.

It is becoming increasingly clear to me that Charlie is LOVING all of the attention his wacky behavior is getting him. In just this short video, you can tell that he loves putting on a show. Check out the video and see for yourselves:

He is so out of his mind … but still in full control of what he’s doing and saying. This is one interview I cannot WAIT to see. Based on just this first teaser video, do you think you’ll tune in to watch? Are you enjoying the crazy drama that Charlie is bringing us each and every day?

Meandering In Berlin

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 01:22 PM PST

Today was our first full day here in Berlin and I am happy to report that it was a very fun and productive day for David me. We decided to try and figure out the public transportation system so we ended up traveling by tram, S-Bahn (above ground train) and U-Bahn (underground subway). Of course, we also traveled by foot and managed to stumble upon some very cool things. First, we grabbed an early coffee at the Ramones Museum Berlin / Cafe Mania (RMBC) then found the C|O Berlin Museum and checked out the Robert Mapplethorpe exhibit currently on display.

The Ramones Museum/Cafe caught my eye because the awning over the door is made to look like the now-defunct CBGB’s in NYC. We went in for coffee (David) and beer (me) and a bit of a look around in the museum. Many of the Ramones artifacts from CBGB’s are on display so it was almost like being in NYC.

A little further up the road we saw a huge advertisement for the Mapplethorpe exhibit and decided to check it out:

What a fantastic exhibit!! David and I saw an exhibit of his Polaroids at the Whitney Museum in NYC a few years ago but this exhibit was much more expanded. There were lots of amazing photographs of Robert‘s BFF and one-time lover Patti Smith. It’s so cool that I *just* finished reading her memoir Just Kids that chronicles her friendship with Robert Mapplethorpe … and then *just* visited the Hotel Chelsea for the first time (the site of many of Patti and Robert‘s shenanigans in the late 60′s/early 70′s) … and then stumbled upon this exhibit. So freakin’ cool.

The rest of the day was just spent walking around, checking out some cool street art (which is EVERYWHERE here in Berlin):

We came upon this cool bohemian outdoor, open-air gallery that had on display lots of cool sculpture and painting art pieces. Seeing all of this street art is really inspiring, I just love it all. The city is painted in fun … I can see why people love this city so much. Above you can see a photo of the huge Fernsehturm (television tower) that juts up from the center of town. It’s a great beacon for us to orient ourselves so we know where we are as we meander thru the city. We are just getting warmed up here in Berlin! Our first full week begins tomorrow … so far, so awesome!!

My plan is to *try* and stay up for the Academy Awards tonight. They air at 2AM local time here so … we’ll see if I make it. Please take some time to use wishes, prayers and good thoughts on a big Best Score Oscar win for my bud Trent Reznor and his bud Atticus Ross. Their work on The Social Network is absolutely worthy of an Academy Award and in my mind IS the Best Score of the year … I’d really LOVE for them to win tonight!! Fingers and toes, y’all :)

Daniel Radcliff’s New Broadway Musical Opens In Previews

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 12:16 PM PST

Last week we saw photos of Daniel Radcliffe rehearsing for his return to the Broadway stage in the revival musical of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and today we learn that his show successfully opened in previews this weekend! DanRad‘s first preview performance was last night at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and he happily hung out after the show to sign a few autographs for this throng of admiring fans.

It looks like Dan is really happy to be back on Broadway. Considering this is his first singing & dancing role, I’m certain he is well-prepared for the task of leading a Broadway musical. I think I’ll have to wait until my next trip to NYC in the Spring to see him in this show but I am anxious to check it out. He was so amazing in the Broadway play Equus and, of course, as Harry Potter …. I can’t wait to see him in a more musically theatric part.

Michael Lohan, Jr. Wants To Change His Name So As Not To Be Confused With Michael Lohan, Sr.

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 11:31 AM PST

At last … a member of the Lohan family did something smart and worth praising. Lindsay Lohan‘s younger brother Michael Lohan, Jr. is the first born son of Dina and Michael Lohan (Sr.) and, therefore, was unfortunately saddled with his father’s name. Little did anyone know that little Michael Lohan would be inheriting such a wretchedly embarrassing name. So, Michael Lohan, Jr. is reportedly changing his name to Michael Cameron so as to not be confused with his trainwreck of a father Michael Lohan. You follow?

Michael Lohan Jr. has decided he’s had enough of the moniker that links his him to his infamous father, so he’s changing his name … TMZ has learned … sources close to Junior tell us he had been thinking about changing his name for awhile … The Artist Soon To Be Formally Known Michael Lohan Jr. will be changing his name to … Michael Cameron. We’re told Michael plans on using the name starting with the upcoming movie he’s starring in, produced by his mom Dina.

OY! This is a brilliant idea, one that I fully and wholeheartedly support (considering I have always felt sorry for the lad that I’ve had to refer to him by his name … Michael Lohan, Jr.). I am quite dismayed that Michael Lohan, Jr. soon-to-be Michael Cameron is going into showbiz with his mother Dina Lohan … I mean, hasn’t the lad suffered enough? It’s bad enough that Lindsay turned out to be a mess … do they have to eff up another kid’s life as well? Ugh. Well, at least little Mike is getting rid of the Lohan in his name … that, at the very least, is a good start.

The 2011 Film Independent’s Spirit Awards Are Handed Out

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 10:18 AM PST

The Golden Raspberry Awards, which honor the worst of the worst in film, are not the only awards that are handed out on the eve before the Academy Awards are handed out … the annual Film Independent Spirit Awards are also handed out on the night before the Oscars. The Independent Spirit Awards are given out in a much more relaxed ceremony than the Oscars and honor the best in independent film making. This year, the Darren Aronofsky-directed film Black Swan walked away with the most awards … 4 in total. But other of this awards season’s “usual suspects” were also honored last night.

“Black Swan,” director Darren Aronofsky’s dark ballet thriller about a dancer descending into madness, won top honors at the Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, where it was named best feature. The movie, which collected four awards, is also in the running for the best picture Oscar at Sunday’s 83rd annual Academy Awards. “Black Swan” won prizes for best female lead for star Natalie Portman, who attended the ceremony in a sleeveless yellow dress, best director for Aronofsky and best cinematography for Matthew Libatique … Other winners included James Franco, who was named best male lead for his performance as real-life canyon climber Aron Ralston in director Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours.” In addition to being nominated for the role at Sunday’s Oscars, Franco will host the Academy Awards telecast with actress Anne Hathaway. In his acceptance speech, Franco, wearing a sweater over his suit and tie, mentioned both Ralston and Boyle, and described independent film as “something that’s a very big part of my life and is very important to me.” Dale Dickey won best supporting female for her role as the gatekeeper to an Ozark family patriarch in director Debra Granik’s gritty drama, “Winter’s Bone,” while John Hawkes won best supporting male for his turn in the film, which was adapted from Daniel Woodrell’s novel of the same name. Best screenplay went to “The Kids Are All Right,” the story of what happens to a lesbian couple after their teenage children contact the women’s sperm donor. The film’s director and writer, Lisa Cholodenko, took the stage with a bottle of champagne in hand. Her writing partner, Stuart Blumberg, joked that seven years ago, when the pair initially began work on the script, “we were just a couple of lesbians with a hope and a dream.” Academy Awards frontrunner “The King’s Speech,” director Tom Hooper’s drama about King George VI’s attempts to overcome a debilitating stammer, won best foreign film, representing the United Kingdom. Hooper described the film, which is vying for 12 Oscars, as a “truly independent movie … a film made against the odds.” “Exit Through the Gift Shop,” directed by street artist Banksy, won best documentary. In the film, Thierry Guetta, a French immigrant obsessed with street art, has the camera turned on him by the British bad-boy graffitist; he then becomes a street artist in his own right working under the pseudonym Mr. Brainwash. Guetta accepted the award Saturday.

While the report above did mention James Franco‘s hipster sweater, it failed to mention that his hair looked like a mix between Tim Burton‘s usually frazzled ‘do and that of any random homeless person. Franco also looks tired as Hell in this photo … due probably to all of the prep he’s had to do ahead of hosting tonight’s big Oscar show. It’s very telling that Thierry Mr. Brainwash Guetta showed up to collect his Independent Spirit award last night … my guess is that he will go on stage to collect the Oscar award should Exit Through the Gift Shop win the Best Documentary prize (tho, it’s possible that Banky himself may still make his presence known if his film does win — even tho the Academy has refused his request to appear on stage while wearing a mask). The Independent Spirit Awards are cool and all but I have a hard time seeing Black Swan as an indie film. Still … it’s a great film and is worthy of being praised. The 2011 Golden Raspberry Awards Are Handed Out

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 09:14 AM PST

Last month we learned which of the most horrible films of the horrible films of 2010 were nominated for Golden Raspberry Awards and today we learn which films walked away as the worst of the worst. As you may know, the Golden Raspberry Awards — or, Razzies — are handed out in a special ceremony on the night before the Academy Awards as a way to honor … er … single out the worst of the worst in film. This year, the film that took home the most Razzies was the M. Night Shyamalan crapfest known as The Last Airbender. The runner up, nabbed the second highest number of Razzies, was the horribly disappointing (and kinda offensive) Sex and the City 2.

The night before the Academy Awards presents Oscars to the best achievement in films, the 31st annual Razzie Awards celebrated the “Berry Worst Achievement in Film” for 2010. The big “winner” — so to speak — at the satirical ceremony presented by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation on Saturday evening at Barnsdall Gallery Theatre was M. Night Shyamalan’s critically skewered 3-D fantasy film, “The Last Airbender.” The film took home Razzies for worst picture, worst director, worst screenplay, worst supporting actor for Jackson Rathbone, who also won for “Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” and the new Razzie category, worst eye-gouging misuse of 3-D. The evening’s other major loser was “Sex and the City 2,” which took home worst actress for all four of its stars — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon — worst sequel and worst screen ensemble honors. Worst actor went to Ashton Kutcher for two films — “Killers” and “Valentine’s Day” — and worst supporting actress went to Jessica Alba for four films — “The Killer Inside Me,” “Little Fockers,” “Machete” and “Valentine’s Day.”

In my mind, all of the nominees this year are worthy of Razzies. 2010 was a particularly bad year for horrible films. I can’t even get over how offensive, in hindsight, Sex and the City 2 was for me. I love the series so much and really adore the first film … the sequel was just SO bad in almost every respect. It may not have been the absolute worst film of the year … but it was bad enough to be singled out and I’m glad the Razzies did just that. I didn’t even bother to waste my time with The Last Airbender but from the true fans of the animated series that I heard from, M. Night‘s live action version of the story and characters was a steaming pile of turds. I am not surprised that it was honored as the worst film of the worst films. In just a few hours, the best of the best film performances will be honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences … but it’s nice to pause, at least for a little while, to recognize the terrible films that offended our eyes and sensibilities ;) Click HERE for a full list of this year’s Razzie Awards winners. Did YOUR most hated films/actors win any awards?

The 83rd Annual Academy Awards Are About To Be Handed Out

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 08:48 AM PST

We are just hours away from the 83rd annual Academy Awards — THE biggest awards show of the year — and the last minute touches are being handled right now as the clock ticks down to show time. This year, the Oscars are really hoping to attract a much younger audience as opposed to merely the traditional, older set. This became very obvious when they decided to get Anne Hathaway and James Franco to host. This year’s show promises lots of fun new stuff … but will it work? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

In one of the latest promotions for the Oscar telecast on Sunday, the hosts, James Franco and Anne Hathaway, do something almost unheard of: they spoof the self-seriousness of the whole endeavor. In that promotion, "Oscar Hosts Go to Boot Camp," the preternaturally composed Ms. Hathaway, in a hoodie and gilded sneakers, is shown doing deep breathing and tai chi; then Mr. Franco wanders in, sleepy eyed. "All right, Hathaway, you ready?" he asks. She replies, "Let's do this, Franco." Off come the hoodies, and they go through a series of awards-show prep exercises: dealing with political grandstanding during acceptance speeches, wardrobe malfunctions, even streakers. Mr. Franco simply tackles all the offenders, including his co-host. In tone and style the spot is casual; the stars are wearing sweats, for God's sake. Compare this to the promotions last year, when the perfectly coiffed hosts, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, wore tuxedos and stood in a brightly lit, stark white space, simply introducing themselves and talking up the show, and it becomes clear that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is making a major play for a new audience, one that communicates in satire and snark, not just reverence. The theme of this year's show on ABC is "You're Invited," and the normally staid Academy has been working overtime to lift the veil on its big night. It's live-streaming backstage moments on a newly revamped Web site, Oscar.go.com. A new app will feature footage from the Governors Ball, the Academy's official, exclusive afterparty. Fans can submit questions for nominees to the Academy online; a few mothers of nominees — "mominees" — have even been corralled to post on Twitter. A lot of this is meant to take advantage of the two-screen behavior that seems to be driving a rise in viewership for awards shows and other water-cooler spectacles, like the Super Bowl … For old and new media alike this may be a cultural shift in how we use and understand media, a glasnost that comes with everyone's ability to self-publish. Or it's simply an appeal to relevancy and youth. (Mr. Franco and Ms. Hathaway are among the youngest hosts in Oscar history.) Either way, that two of this year's most talked-about films, "The King's Speech" and "The Social Network," deal with turning points in mass communication is either a happy coincidence or a very timely sign.

With mere hours to go, it remains to be seen if all of this newfangled stuff will sink or swim. Personally, I’m of the mind that the show is in serious need of a fresh update. I think it’s smart for the show to tackle the online audience as well as the TV viewing audience. To be honest, I’m pretty confident that Anne and James will do a great job hosting tonight. For me, the only award that I really care about is the Oscar for Best Score. I am really rooting for Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to win for their work on The Social Network soundtrack. As for Best Picture, Best Etc. … I am not married to any film to win it all (tho, I’d kinda really love for Banksy‘s Exit Through the Gift Shop to win Best Documentary). I loved both The Social Network and The King’s Speech … let the best film win, literally. Because I am in Berlin right now, I won’t be able to watch the show on TV (that I’m aware of). It will begin broadcasting for me at 2AM … if anyone knows how I can watch the show online from Germany, please let me know.

It’s almost showtime, y’all … are you ready already?
