While enjoying a stroll with their nanny this week, Levi Alves and Vida Alves — the young children of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves — took a short break to play together … in the street. Now, I’m certain the nanny kept a close eye on the young’ns but don’t these little kids seem awfully young to be playing in the street at all?


I used to LOVE playing in the street in front of my house. My friends and I would play Kick the Can, Freeze Tag and Street Hockey … but we were much older. I mean, at 5 years old I was still too young to be allowed to cross the street on my own … and yet the McConaughey toddlers aren’t even 3 yet and they’re already playin’ in the streets. Ugh, celeb kids are so lucky to get to do whatever they want … aren’t they?

Jude Law Gets Wrapped In Plastic For His New Movie

Jude Law, newly broken up with girlfriend Sienna Miller, has made his way to San Francisco, CA to begin work on a new film titled Contagion. As you can see (and can prolly guess by the film’s title), Jude will be wearing a plastic Hazmat suit for the role … one that he actually wears very well.


Um … it’s kinda hard to take a man seriously when he’s wearing something like this but … I’m sure this film will be very good. Movies that feature airborne disease can be pretty good … especially when that disease eats the skin off of people right before your eyes. I think I’ll have to see more from this movie before I make up my mind but … thus far, A+ Jude looks good, right?

Will Victoria Beckham Dress Kate Middleton?

Now that Victoria Beckham is an established clothing designer, it would seem that some very high-profile people are taking notice. While Vicki B. has been dressing celebs in her designs since her dVb dresses were first released a couple of years ago, it seems that someone even more famous is interested in wearing her designs. Apparently, soon-to-be princess Kate Middleton has requested a sample of VB‘s dresses which may be worn by the new royal once she marries Prince William in April.

Beckham, who’s expecting her fourth child, has been asked to send pieces from her collection to Kate, 29, for her upcoming public role as a member of the royal family once she weds Prince William. “Apparently, she likes my clothes and has asked to see a selection,” the designer said at her New York Fashion Week show, Daily Telegraph style writer Hilary Alexander reports. The designer, 36, was unveiling her Fall/Winter 2011 collection when she spoke of the “honor” of dressing Middleton. “It’s tremendously exciting,” she said. Beckham also said she believes the prince’s fiancée will make a perfectly stylish princess. Kate is “a beautiful young girl,” said Beckham. “She has a wonderful figure and I think she wears clothes beautifully.”

Wow, this is pretty damn cool. If Kate wears VB‘s dresses, well, that will say much about Vicki B‘s talent as a fashion designer. Who knows, maybe VB will be asked to design her first wedding dress … FOR KATE TO WEAR on her wedding day??? Okay, that will very likely not happen but, still, if Kate is interested in wearing VB‘s designs then she must be a fan. Well done, Posh. Well done, indeed.

Watch: Footage From The Planned ‘ThunderCats’ Movie Has Leaked To The Internets

Last month we got our first look at the new version of the animated TV series ThunderCats that is due to premiere on Cartoon Network later this year. But back in the Summer of 2009, the plan was to reboot ThunderCats in a new animated FILM. Back then, we got our first look at concept art of what the character Lion-O might look like. Today, we get to check out video footage from that now-shelved ThunderCats movie which leaked to the Internets this week. It won’t stay online for long so, check it out while you can.


As you can see, this movie was going to be a “realistic” CGI take on the ThunderCats characters which stands in contrast to the colorful anime/manga-look of the coming TV series. Check out the footage below and see what you think:


Yeah, I’m not sure what to think of this. It looks … not great. I can’t imagine an entire movie of … this. I guess it’s for the best that this ThunderCats movie was never made. The plan to move forward with an animated series on TV seems the smarter way to go. What do y’all think of this footage? Does this look like a movie you’d like to see?

Channing Tatum Does ‘GQ’ Magazine – Again

Channing Tatum is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine (for the first time since Summer 2009) and in his coverstory interview he opens up about his stripper past … about how he doesn’t regret anything. The interview, quite honestly, isn’t really that interesting … but the accompanying photospread, yeah, that is deffo worth checking out.

Even though he’s a big Hollywood star these days, Channing Tatum has no qualms about letting the skeletons out of his closet. Case in point: perhaps you’ve seen that grainy Internet video of Channing wiggling his booty as a stripper in Tampa, Florida—made public after it was sold to a tabloid in 2009. Such a subject would usually be a taboo topic for a celebrity, but the March GQ cover boy is refreshingly candid about his past. Speaking to the magazine about his one-time stint as a stripper, Channing recalled that it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. “Okay, we're going to do this for a little while just to be crazy and insane; then we're getting out,” he recalled telling a colleague, add that he never had any intention of hiding his past. “I had wanted to tell people,” he explained. “I'm not ashamed of it. I don't regret one thing. I'm not a person who hides shit.” Channing’s salty past shouldn’t be too surprising, judging from the other crazy stories he told GQ. The actor spilled that one recent weekend, he and his pals decided to get random tattoos (He got the letters “IH” inked on his upper arm), and after that, he dropped a “Spontaneous Home Invasion” on pal Marlon Wayans. What's that exactly? “We sneak up to his house, okay, and we're like, 'Shit! He's home!’” Tatum recalled. “There are girls around the pool, and we can see him sitting there. So Kurtz [Channing's friend] and I strip down. And we open the door and just pounce in like, 'Rawr!' And Marlon jumps up in this fighting stance, like he is going to bust out some martial-arts shit. And his cousin grabs a pillow. A pillow.” If Channing has his way, he'll soon have more outrageous tales to tell. “There are so many things I want to do. Like, I want to get an artist, a musician, a photographer, and a bunch of dancers that I know and just travel across Africa and just film it and just see what happens. Do and learn as much as I possibly can. Luckily, I have a lot more time.”

Vince Neil Begins Serving His DUI Jail Sentence

In June of last year we learned that Mötley Crüe rocker Vince Neil was busted — again — for drunk driving. Just last month we learned that Neil pled guilty to the charge and today we learn that he has turned himself into to authorities to being serving a 2 week jail sentence for the crime. As a result, Vince Neil has another mug shot to add to his collection.

Vince Neil just checked himself into Clark County Detention Center to begin serving his two-week sentence for DUI — and TMZ has his mug shot. The Motley Crue frontman sported spectacles for the mug shot. Neil pled guilty on January 26. He was busted last June in Las Vegas with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit. Neil will serve his two weeks behind bars, then do 15 days of house arrest.

Considering this isn’t Neil‘s first drunk driving conviction, I personally think he should be locked away for a much longer time. But, at least he is being punished for his crime … again. Here’s hoping that Neil will learn his lesson this time and will STOP driving drunk.

Good Romance

Welp, another Valentine’s Day is in the History books. David and decided to keep things nice and boring here at home for VD yesterday because we are planning to celebrate our 5 year anniversary on Thursday night ahead of a week-long trip to NYC next week and a 2 week-long trip to Berlin, Germany the following week. BUT, while we decided to stay home last night … we did manage to find a way to make our night in worthwhile.


Chocolate, strawberries and champagne paired with Tabatha’s Salon Take Over and RuPaul’s Drag Race and we had a perfect night together. I know, I know … a lot of other couples like to go big on VDay but it’s not what we’re really into. For the most part, David and I enjoyed one of our regular ol’ Monday nights together … which was just fine for the both of us … because we like to celebrate our lurve all year long ;)

I have to start preparing for our trip so I have a lot of laundry and packing in my evening plans for tonight. The weather has gotten gloomy here in SoCal and it’s supposed to rain. Blah. Hope it’s sunny wherever you are today ;D

Nicole Richie took her adorable young children Harlow Winter Kate and Sparrow James Midnight for a fun playdate at the park this past Sunday afternoon and from the looks on the little ones’ faces, they had a blast. Nicole herself seemed to sit out for most of the fun but it is plainly clear that she, too, had the time of her life watching her little ones play in the sun.


Daddy Joel Madden is currently on tour with his band Good Charlotte so he had to miss out on the fun … but he’ll be back soon enough, rearing — I’m sure — to play with his kiddies. These photos are so cute … Harlow is just the most precious little doll. Sparrow got big, y’all! These toddlers were just babies, like, yesterday. My how time flies.

Optimus Prime, Of The Transformers, Gets A Parking Ticket

Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots in the world of Transformers, was spotted in NYC this week parked near the American International Toy Fair going in Manhattan right now. As you can see from the photos below, not even Optimus Prime is exempt from the power of the NYC Parking Enforcement department … Prime got himself a parking ticket.


LMAOOO!! The photos were snapped by TerrorDrome, a G.I. Joe fansite. They photographed the parked semi truck and only later noticed that it was slapped with a parking ticket. I know there have to be a few geeks out there who are loving this as much as I do, right? So awesome!!

David LaChapelle Sues Rihanna For Ripping Off His Artwork

Rihanna released a music video for her new single S&M a couple of weeks ago and one famed photographer in particular took great interest in the clip … because he saw his work being plagiarized right before his eyes. Photographer David LaChapelle is known for his hyper-color, vivid photographs … and as soon as he saw the same hyper-color, vivid imagery used in his photographs co-opted for Rihanna‘s new video he got upset. Then he decided to sue.

Famed celeb photographer David LaChapelle filed a lawsuit against pop diva Rihanna on Feb. 14 in New York over the images in her sexy "S&M" music video, which was released about two weeks ago, according to Reuters. The shutterbug is claiming that what's on screen in the candy-colored clip are "directly derived" from pictures he's shot. LaChapelle is famous for his work, taking photos of celebrities for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ, and Vanity Fair. His suit claims that "the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works." He goes on to say that Rihanna stole eight images for the video, which copied the "composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting of his work."


LaChapelle posted this message on his official Twitter profile:

The next time you make a David LaChapelle music video you should probably hire David LaChapelle

But the tweet has since been removed from his profile. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. I can absolutely see a great many similarities between the original photographs and the scenes from Rihanna‘s music video (I mean, how can you not?). Is it enough for a court of law to award LaChapelle damages? My guess is that this matter will be settled out of court before any of this goes before a judge. IMHO, Rihanna may have been going for an homage to LaChapelle‘s work but, in the end, she ripped him off. What do y’all think? Are you on Team Rihanna or Team LaChapelle?

Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz Reunite For Valentine’s Day

Last week we learned the sad news that Ashlee Simpson and hubby Pete Wentz are divorcing … but today we get to see new photos of the couple reuniting for a Valentine’s Day family brunch with their young son Bronx Mowgli at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA yesterday afternoon. Could a reconciliation be in the works?

They may have filed for divorce last week but it seems Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are determined to keep things amicable. The couple went for a Valentine’s Day lunch with their two-year-old son Bronx [Monday] at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Dressed casually in a baggy sweatshirt, leggings and boots, Ashlee, 26, looked low key as she walked her son into the hotel. Both wearing sunglasses, the couple kept their heads down and seemed keen not to be noticed. Ashlee filed for divorce from Pete, a bassist with the band Fall Out Boy on February 10, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ … In a statement to Mail Online last week, the couple said: ‘After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority. We ask that everyone honour our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.’

While it would be nice if the couple did reconcile, my guess is that they have just decided to stay close as friends for the sake of their young son. Divorce is never easy, particularly when children are involved but this might be a sign that things may work out for the best for the entire Simpson-Wentz family. It’s nice to see that Ashl33n have remained friendly … we’ll see if this friendly continues as the divorce moves forward.

Madonna Is Ready To Record A New Album

Yes, yes … YES! Last week, Madonna‘s manager Guy Oseary tweeted news that Madonna is anxious to get back into the recording studio in order to make a new album and today we hear from Live Nation Entertainment Chairman Irving Azoff (Madonna‘s new boss) that she is, in fact, ready to make new music! As you may recall, Maddy signed a $100 million dollar recording contract with Live Nation so her next album would be the first under the terms of her new deal. Get ready, y’all … new Madonna music is on the way!!

It looks like Madonna is preparing to enter the studio to record a new album, the first under her $100 million multi-rights deal with Live Nation, which another lucrative tour seems likely as well. “They tell me Madonna is about to record, so there could be another Madonna cycle coming,” Live Nation Entertainment Chairman Irving Azoff told Billboard.biz during an interview earlier this week. Asked if the Madonna album would come through Live Nation, Azoff responded, “Yes,” meaning Madonna’s album could be the first recorded content overseen by Live Nation … Azoff’s news was echoed by Madonna manager Guy Oseary this week via Twitter: “The update is that Madonna can’t wait to get into the recording studio. This will happen as soon as she finishes the movie she directed.” Live Nation signed a 10-year multi-rights deal with Madonna in 2007 said to be worth as much as $100 million, including her touring, merchandising and recording rights. Madonna left Warner Bros., her label home of 25 years, after the release of her 2008 album “Hard Candy.” Her subsequent Live Nation-produced “Sticky & Sweet” tour grossed $408 million worldwide, according to Billboard Boxscore, highest ever for a female artist … “Live Nation, prior to the merger, entered into some of these all-rights deals, so there are certain artists, Madonna being one of them, that there is a recorded music strategy,” Azoff saod. “Once she gets the album recorded, we’ll sit down with her and her manager Guy Oseary and figure out what’s best for the record. It has to start with the music.”

OMG, yes … FINALLY! It has been far too long since Madonna released new music … so the time has come for her to regain her throne … er, or at least for her to toss her hat back into the ring and show the young whipper-snappers what’s up. Oh, and speaking of young whipper-snappers … Maddy stepped out with her latest toy boy Barhim Zaibat in Berlin this week … so clearly Madonna & Child 2 are still going strong:


I can’t even get too excited for new Madonna music just yet. We are still at least a year away from any new album hittin’ the airwaves … but at least we know it’s on the way. I can’t waiiiiit!! Can you?

Billy Ray Cyrus Blames ‘Hannah Montana’ For ‘Destroying’ His Family

Billy Ray Cyrus, the formerly mulletted Country/Pop star and father of the recently tattooed, bong-smoking pop star Miley Cyrus, is featured in the new issue of GQ magazine in a very candid interview where he opens up about the regrets in his life. Billy Ray makes it clear that he has never “made a dime” off of his daughter and boldly reveals that he believes that Miley‘s TV show Hannah Montana is responsible for destroying his family. Hmmmm.

Billy Ray Cyrus gave one of his most candid interviews in the new issue of GQ, telling the magazine that he wishes that the Disney show he and daughter Miley Cyrus starred in, “Hannah Montana,” never happened. It “destroyed my family … I’d take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be OK, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic,” he said in the interview. Cyrus also took the time to set the record straight and distance himself from many other parents of child stars and revealed that he’s never profited from Miley’s success. “For the record, to set it straight, I want to tell you: I’ve never made a dime off of Miley. You got a lot of people (who) have made percentages off of her. I’m proud to say to this day I’ve never made one commissioned dollar, or dime, off of my daughter.” Cyrus is not oblivious to his daughter’s press disasters: the Vanity Fair photo shoot, the pole dancing incident, to name a couple. Those scandals are what led him to decide to not attend Miley’s 18th birthday party, where Miley ultimately was photographed mid-makeout. “You know why I didn’t go? Because they were having it in a bar. It was wrong. It was for 21 years old and up. Once again all them people, they all wanted me to fly out so that then when all the bad press came they could say, ‘Daddy endorsed this stuff. …’ I started realizing I’m being used. If I would have went out there I would have been right in the middle of all this stuff that’s going on right now with the bong. They’d be hanging it on my ass. I had the common sense … I said, ‘This whole thing’s falling apart up there and they just want to blame all of this stuff on you again.’ I’m staying out of it.”

You know, I like to give Billy Ray some good-natured grief but I feel really bad for him based on these comments (click HERE to read the FULL TEXT of Billy Ray‘s interview). While I don’t actually believe he really regrets the fame, success and money that came with Hannah Montana, I do believe that he regrets the way things turned out. I’m sure it’s really hard to see his daughter do the things she does (behavior that many like to dismiss as stuff that “all teenagers do”) knowing full well that she has the money and clout to do much worse. I’m sure it’s very hard for a father to have to decide to not attend his daughter’s birthday party because he knows he will not be able to influence his child’s behavior AND would likely get blamed for it. It’s all so sad. What do you think of Billy Ray‘s comments? Are they surprising to you? Do you feel bad for him and his family? Victoria & David Beckham Reunite For Valentine’s Day

David Beckham, who’s been chillin’ in London, England for the past few weeks, flew to NYC to meet up with his pregnant wife Victoria Beckham so that the pair could spend Valentine’s Day together. Altogether now, Awwwwww! As you may recall, we’ve been seeing photos of VB running around NYC for NY Fashion Week but she took a break from work to enjoy a nice VDay dinner with her dapper husband Becks last night.


I mean, it’s not much … but we do get to see a bit more of VB‘s tummy. I still can’t see any sign of a baby bump … but it’s there … somewhere. I understand that Les Beckhams dined at Minetta Tavern in Greenwich Village. Despite their grim expressions in these photos, I’m certain that the couple had a nice, romantic time together. Happy VD from Les Beckhams, y’all!!

The 2011 ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Issue Has Been Released

It’s out!! The much-anticipated annual offering from Sports Illustrated — The Swimsuit Issue — is finally out, y’all. And the covermodel featured on the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is someone that we know … kinda. Irina Shayk, the insanely hot model girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo (NOT the woman who gave birth to his love child, mind you), is featured on the cover and in the pages of this year’s Swimsuit Issue as the magazine’s FIRST Russian covermodel. Check out some of her SI photos below.

A sun-kissed Irina Shayk in a tiny pink-and-yellow halter bikini has landed her first cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. The Russian-born, 25-year-old learned Monday at a taping of David Letterman’s show that she won the coveted spot based on a photo shoot months ago in Hawaii. She’s been in the wildly popular issue five times before. “There were 10 models there to do the Top 10 List, and nobody knows until the last minute who the cover will be,” Shayk said. “And then I saw it, and I couldn’t believe it.” In keeping with tradition, the cover of the special issue is kept secret until the magazine is ready to hit newsstands. Shayk, the girlfriend of soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, said if she were going to choose one of her photos as her favorite, the cover selection likely would be the one. She liked the push-up bra style of the suit, in a design of pink diamonds on the front of the top with yellow around the neck and sides. “I never get to see the photos when we take them, but I remembered the swimsuit,” Shayk said.

Well … this year’s coverphoto wasn’t kept totally under wraps until release day. A photo of the cover blown up to Billboard size was posted to Twitter hours before the photo was officially released:
