The Entire Brangelina Bunch Takes To The Streets Of New Orleans

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 02:09 PM PDT

Last week we saw photos of Brad Pitt in New Orleans, LA shooting scenes for a new film and today we get to see photos of him enjoying a walk in the city with his entire family in tow. Angelina and her brood of children — Maddox Chivan, Pax Thien, Zahara Marley, Shiloh Nouvel, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline — have relocated to NOLA to be with daddy Brad and this weekend the entire Brangelina bunch decided to spend some quality time together.

It’s not very often that we get to see the entire Brangelina family together because they tend to travel in smaller packs and in different configurations. I cannot believe how big the twins are! It seems like only yesterday we were hearing about their birth and now … they’re little kids. I expect we’ll be seeing more of the Brangelina bunch around NOLA in the coming weeks … but this family outing is just cute.

Nicki Minaj Performs On Stage With A Sex Toy

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 01:51 PM PDT

Nicki Minaj, who is no stranger to the outrageous, brought her I Am Still Music Tour to the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY last night and during her performance produced a plastic penis to incorporate into her act. Now, I’m not sure if this sexual … prop … is a usual part of the show or if she just whipped it out as a special surprise but … homegirl seemed happy to perform with the dildo. Check out the NSFW images below.

Click the image above to see the larger, NSFW images — if you dare. Um … yeah. To her credit, Nicki managed to get her hands on a pretty amply-sized sex toy. I mean, if you’re gonna go big … you might as well go really big. You know, and I was just thinking about how you don’t really see a lot of dildos in live concert performances and then Nicki Minaj has to go and save the day. What do y’all think? Is this shocking or … notsomuch?

The Shocker

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 01:37 PM PDT

Yesterday was a really fun day for me because I got to participate in a perfectly orchestrated surprise party for our dear friend David Russell. I had to play coy on the blog yesterday about my plans for last night because David’s adorably sweet boyfriend put together a huge surprise party. It was really a fabulous little soiree … with lots of great people, amazing music and one special birthday boy.

David is really one of my fave people so it was quite a pleasure to celebrate his special day with him and all of his friends. My David and I really had the best time ever. Here is video of David arriving at the party and getting the shock of his life:

I wish the video wasn’t so dark but I think you get the gist of how things went down. He was genuinely surprised so it was mission: accomplished. I’m sending all my Birthday Lurve to David today, one more time, and I am looking forward to celebrating many, many birthdays to come with him :D

It is really raining today so today might actually be a hibernation day for me. I’m thinking we might go to the movie tonight but … it’s just so cold and wet, we may just stay inside til tomorrow ;) Happy Sunday! Happy Weekend!!

Watch: ‘Water For Elephants’ Releases A New Video Clip

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 12:13 PM PDT

Earlier this month we got to see a few promo photos from the upcoming new film Water for Elephants which stars Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon and today we get to check out a 40 second clip from the movie itself. This clip is not a trailer that gives an overview of the film, it’s a scene between Rob and Reese‘s characters … and it looks pretty dramatic. Check out the clip below.

Robert Pattinson is switching to Team Jacob, but it’s not because he’s turning his back on his “Twilight” loyalties — in that neck of the woods, he’s firmly and permanently on Edward’s side of the aisle — but rather because he’s assuming an all-new identity as Jacob Janowski in “Water for Elephants,” arriving in theaters on April 22 … In this exclusive scene from “Water for Elephants,” Jacob Janowski (Pattinson) is rushed through a speeding train by the beautiful Marlena Rosenbluth (played by the equally stunning Reese Witherspoon), who is doing her best to get Jacob out of the train and off to safety. What he’s running from isn’t clear; what is clear, however, is that Jacob doesn’t want to leave without Marlena by his side. “You think there’s nothing out there for you, but there is,” he tells her. “You just can’t see it.” Jacob’s words move Marlena into action; although she’s initially resistant, she slips her hand into his as the two brace themselves to jump off the train. But before we can see the final outcome, the clip is over — guess we’ll have to wait until April to see if Rob’s charms are as successful with Marlena as they are with Bella Swan!

Oh yeah, you can tell that Water for Elephants will be a dramatic tear-jerker. From just this short clip, you can already see the chemistry shared between Rob and Reese. I am very curious to see more. What do y’all think of this clip? Have those of you who have read the book recognize this scene?

Janet Jackson Signs Books In NYC

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 11:53 AM PDT

In August of 2009 we learned that Janet Jackson was planning the release of a non-fiction book and today we get to see the first photos of JJ signing copies of her new book True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving You, released last month, at an in-store appearance in NYC, NY last night. In addition to Janet‘s book signing last night, she will also sign books here in LA next month. Check out some photos of beautiful Janet Jackson at her book event last night.

In an effort to continue promoting her New York Times best-selling first book, TRUE YOU: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself, Janet Jackson will undertake her first book signing appearances for fans in New York City and Los Angeles. “I am excited to share my story, and the lessons that I have learned on my journey to finding and loving myself," said Janet. I look forward to meeting as many people as possible in New York and Los Angeles. My tour is up close and personal and I can think of no better way to be close to my fans than to meet them at these book signings.” The book signings will take place at the following dates and times: The New York City signing is scheduled for Saturday, March 19th from 3-4:30pm at the Barnes & Noble at 555 Fifth Avenue at 46th Street in Manhattan. The Los Angeles signing is scheduled for Friday, April 15th from 3-4:30pm at Book Soup at 8818 West Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. Coinciding with the book signings, Janet Jackson will bring her "Number Ones, Up Close and Personal Tour" to New York and Los Angeles. The New York performances will take place March 18th, 19th and 21st at Radio City Music Hall. Janet will be performing in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City on April 14th, 15th and 16th.

This is amazing! Janet Jackson never makes herself available to the public … and the lucky folks in NYC got to meet her last night and we Los Angelinos can plan to meet her next month. I’m not sure if I have the mettle to contend with all the rabid JJ fans who will, undoubtedly, be queued up to meet Janet at her book signing … but David and I will deffo be at her LA concert on Friday night so we’re both very excited. Janet looks fantastic in these photos. I may have to pick up this book. Do any of y’all have True You?

The 2011 GLAAD Media Awards Are Handed Out In NYC

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 11:01 AM PDT

Last night in NYC, NY the 22nd annual GLAAD Media Awards were handed out at the Marriott Marquis Times Square to a select group of individuals for their excellence in fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives. Among this year’s honorees is popstar Ricky Martin (who came out publicly as gay last year) and the TV shows True Blood & 30 Rock. Check out some photos and deets from the ceremony below.

Russell Simmons, Ricky Martin and the HBO drama series “True Blood” are among this year’s recipients of media awards from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Other winners of the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards, presented Saturday in New York, include the NBC comedy “30 Rock” and CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360″ for its series on gay teen suicides. Music mogul Simmons received the Excellence in Media Award. Martin was cited for an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in which the pop singer discussed raising twin boys and his decision to come out as gay. Spanish-language networks Univision and Telemundo were also recognized. Scissor Sisters were named outstanding music artists for the album “Night Work.” The website Essence.com was saluted for outstanding digital journalism. Nonelectronic media winners include The New York Times columnist Frank Rich and Peter David for his Marvel comic book “X-Factor.” The GLAAD Media Awards recognize fair, accurate and inclusive representation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives in the media. Winners were announced in 25 of this year’s total of 32 media categories. The remaining awards will be presented at ceremonies to be held in Los Angeles and San Francisco in April and May, respectively.

At first I bristled at the notion that Ricky Martin was being honored with a trophy just because he came out of the closet as gay … but the more I thought about it, the more I can understand why his appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show is worthy of celebration. Ricky‘s appearance on Oprah as a single gay father had a huge impact, I’m sure, on all of the gay and lesbian families out there who yearn to see their stories reflected in the media fairly and honestly. And that is what the GLAAD Media Awards serve to honor. Congratulations to all the winners honored in NYC last night. Next up, the GLAAD Media Awards ceremony in LA next month!

Bradley Cooper & Renée Zellweger Go Their Separate Ways

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 10:28 AM PDT

On Friday we learned that that Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Renée Zellweger decided to end their almost 2 year relationship and today we get to see photos of the newly singles going their own separate ways. Renée was spotted chillin’ all by her lonesome at an eatery in NYC with nothing but her iGadgets to keep her company while Bradley jetted his way to LA … all by his lonesome.

Renee Zellweger enjoyed a quiet lunch alone today at Le Pain Quotidien in New York City — just a woman, an iPhone, an iPad, and her thoughts. Hey Apple geeks, she’s single!

And while Renée was in NYC, Bradley made his arrival at LAX Airport here in SoCal where he was swarmed by photogs and well-wishers:

A hot man like Bradley Cooper is in high demand, so I’m sure there are a great many folks out there who are thrilled that he is back on the market. It appears that this break-up has been handled civilly and without any drama, as break-ups should. Bradley and Renée are up for grabs, y’all. Any takers?

Wyclef Jean Shot In The Hand While In Haiti

Posted: 20 Mar 2011 09:19 AM PDT

Scary news coming out of Haiti today … it has been confirmed that singer-turned-failed politician Wyclef Jean was shot in the hand in the city of Dumas outside Port-Au-Prince yesterday just one day before the Haitian people will go to the polls to elect their new president. As you may recall, Wycelf attempted a run for the presidency last year but was ruled ineligible for the office and had to drop out of the race. Since ending his campaign, Jean threw his support behind presidential candidate Michel MartellyJean was shot while in Haiti campaigning for Martelly.

A spokesman for Wyclef Jean says the hip-hop star has been released from a hospital after being treated for a gunshot wound to his hand. Joe Mignon, senior program director for Jean’s Yele Foundation, says Jean was shot in the hand after 11 p.m. local time Saturday in the city of Delmas, just outside Port-au-Prince. Jean’s brother, Samuel, confirmed the musician was shot. Neither he nor Mignon had additional details. The shooting comes on the eve of presidential elections in Haiti. Jean is supporting fellow musician Michel Martelly. A spokesman for the Haitian National Police could not be immediately reached for comment.

At this point, it is not yet known if Wyclef was targeted by the shooter specifically or if he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The injury is being described as a “superficial wound” so we can assume that he will be just fine. While I was never a supporter of Wycelf‘s silly attempt to lead the country of Haiti as president, I never wanted to see the man hurt for his convictions. Let’s hope that violence like this in Haiti will not deter the people from making their way out to the polls. Haiti elects a new leader today, let’s hope the spirit of democracy is with them today.
