Watch: Richard Simmons Films An Air Safety Video For Air New Zealand

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 06:33 PM PDT

Famed fitness guru Richard Simmons is featured in a new airline safety video for Air New Zealand where the sparkly fitness trainer, all decked out in his standard shorty shorts work-out wear, instructs the passengers aboard Air New Zealand on flying safety procedures. Yeah, you kinda just have to see it to believe it.

American fitness guru Richard Simmons gets flight attendants dancing down the aisle in the latest in-flight safety video by Air New Zealand. The camp workout God, dressed in a sequinned vest and tiny shorts, turns the regulation safety precautions before take-off into an exercise class in the quirky clip, called Fit to Fly. Surrounded by airline staff dressed in colourful Lycra, fluorescent leg warmers and sweat bands, he tells passengers: ‘In the next three minutes we’re going to work hard, work out and get you fit to fly.’ As 80s Yazz hit The Only Way Is Up pumps out, the fitness fanatic calls out instructions on how flyers can get rid themselves of bingo wings and get fit while in the air. Simmons turns the act of stowing luggage into a warm-up exercise. ‘Stretch and slide, yeah! You’re a giraffe,’ he exclaims. To inflate your life jacket, in the event of a sea landing, Simmons instructs passengers to ‘blow and blow and blow’. He adds: ‘Yeah, you’re pumping it up.’ Air New Zealand general manager of marketing and communications Mike Tod has defended the light-hearted nature of the safety briefing video, and claims it will get passengers ‘sitting up and taking notice’. ‘Simmons’s fitness moves will definitely ensure that all eyes are on the safety briefing,’ said Tod … The new Fit to Fly safety video goes live today onboard Air New Zealand's narrowbody aircraft fleet which fly around New Zealand and short-haul routes. It will roll out on the airline's widebody aircraft including flights from London from 1 May.

This has GOT to be the best thing ever. I fly so much, I honestly do not pay attention to the flight safety videos anymore … but if this crazy clip came on, I would deffo perk up and pay attention. This is genius! And now I have a fun reason to want to fly Air New Zealand to New Zealand ;)

Watch: A Trailer For A Faux Live Action Angry Birds Movie Hits The Internets

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 05:23 PM PDT

The industrious (and might I add, extremely talented) folks at RoosterTeeth.com put together a live action movie trailer for a faux live action adaptation of the wildly popular mobile phone video game Angry Birds. I fear that the trailer won’t make much sense if you are not familiar with the game … but those of you who know, play, love and obsess over the Angry Birds game … well, you just might get a kick out of this fun video.

Birds, slingshots, pigs, collapsible housing … they’re all here. Check out the video below:

LOL!! Is this not the funniest thing you’ve seen all day? I understand that plans are in the works to adapt this Angry Birds game into an animated series … but I’m not sure it will ever become a live action film. This parody trailer is prolly as close to a live action film as we’ll ever get. I think it’s close enough. Cute vid, ain’t it?

Rihanna Does ‘Rolling Stone’ Magazine

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 04:30 PM PDT

Rihanna, who is no stranger to appearing on magazine covers these days, is featured on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Ri Ri, who is also no stranger to showing off some skin, is wearing a pair of cut-off shorts in her cover photo … showing off just how cheeky she can be.

Rihanna is going to appear on the cover of the next issue of Rolling Stone, which will be on newsstands and online in the digital archive (subscription required) on Friday. The issue also contains features about Robbie Robertson and Ricky Gervais, a new interview with Britney Spears, a review of Paul Simon’s new LP, Rob Sheffield’s take on this season of American Idol and a previously unpublished interview with Elizabeth Taylor by Jonathan Cott. We’ll have more on all these stories – including juicy details from the Rihanna feature – on Wednesday.

Altho this is the only photo of Rihanna in Rolling Stone that we get right now, I think it’s enough to tide us over until Wednesday. I really hate her hair like this (I much prefer the way it looks on the cover of Vogue magazine) but the shorts are kinda hot. Girl knows how to use her body, that’s for sure. Are you feeling this new coverphoto? Do you love it or hate it?

Watch: ‘True Blood’ Releases A Season 4 Preview Video Featuring Bill Compton

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 03:29 PM PDT

Previously we got to see True Blood season 4 preview videos featuring Eric Northman (HERE) and Jason Stackhouse (HERE) … today we get to see a new promo video from the Waiting Sucks campaign for the show that features a scene with Bill Compton. Bill is joined in this clip by his friend/foe Eric. Check it out below.

Altho this clip is short and it doesn’t show much action, it does give us a bit of insight as to what to expect from the upcoming 4th season of True Blood. It sounds like Bill and Eric will have to team up to work together against a common enemy:

I understand the supernatural creatures du jour this season will be witches (you may recall it was werewolves last season and shapeshifters the season before) so it sounds like they are going to be causing some problems for the vamps this Summer. I can’t wait! True Blood season 4 premieres on HBO on June 12 … a little over 2 1/2 months away. While the waiting continues to suck, at least we can nibble on these little video teasers in the meantime.

Guess Who Got A Big Dose Of Love Last Night

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 02:35 PM PDT

Can you guess which celeb was photographed emerging in the wee hours of the morning clutching a cute I Love You teddy bear? It’s not known for certain who gave who this bear but the celeb in possession of this stuffed toy seemed to be awfully proud of showing it off. This celeb has been having a rough time lately so this presumed gesture of affection by a loved one was prolly much appreciated. Can you guess who it is? Find out if you are correct below.

It’s Lindsay Lohan … and according to X17, Lindsay emerged early this morning at about 4AM from her neighbor and ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson‘s home. Now, it is not known who gave who the bear nor is it known for sure if anything romantic is to be implied by this cute toy but … it sure looks like Lindsay was very happy to have this bear in her possession. Despite the fact that all of her woes are the result of her own behavior, I’m certain any gesture of love and affection by anyone else is very welcome to Lindsay right now. It’s a shame she can’t focus all of her attention on her personal life because she’s so preoccupied with her legal woes. If she ever learns her lesson and stays out of trouble, imagine how much happier her life will be when she can focus on personal relationships instead.

Movie Review: ‘Win Win’

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 12:58 PM PDT

Last night David and I met up with Tamar and Rob for a fun movie double date and we all had a great time catching up and hanging out. Tam picked the movie, Win Win, and at first I wasn’t all that interested in seeing the movie … but once I paid attention to the premise of the film, I couldn’t wait to see it. Win Win is not only the best movie I’ve seen this year thus far but it’s prolly one of the best movies I’ve seen in the past year.

I saw the trailer for Win Win a couple of months ago in the theater and, to be honest, it didn’t really grab me. When Tam suggested we see it, I gave the trailer another look and really paid attention. It looked, at the very least, cute so we decided to check it out. Win Win is not only a well acted, well written film … but it is a touchingly heartfelt cute movie. Paul Giamatti, who always tends to play the same sort of downtrodden, bad luck-attracting character, turns in a superb performance but it is the break-out star Alex Shaffer who really steals the show. I believe Win Win is Shaffer‘s first film and I hope it’s not his last. He really gives a great performance as a troubled teen who finds trust and love from people he never expected. Win Win is one of those indie films that takes a mundane story and elevates it to an emotional, heart string-pulling piece of art. No new ground is broken by this film but we do get a great story, with some great characters … people you actually want to root for. I loved this film entirely. Funny, sad, hopeful and happy … Win Win is deffo worth your time. I think you might like it as much as I love it!

The sun is shining brightly today as the temps are finally warming up here in SoCal. I might have to get outside to soak up some sun. It’s a new week. Happy Monday!!

Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Wedding Cake Unveiled

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 11:34 AM PDT

Earlier today we learned the scant details available about Prince William‘s bachelor party which took place over the weekend and right now we get our first look at the wedding cakes that will be used in William‘s wedding reception to his bride-to-be Kate Middleton. The wedding cakes will be floral themed and are being designed by Fiona Cairns. Check out the photo below of the pastry chef and her royal treats.

How sweet it is – a multi-tiered, traditional fruitcake will serve as a centerpiece of the wedding celebration of Prince William and Kate Middleton. on April 29, it has been announced. A British “floral theme” will adorn the creation baked by Fiona Cairns, who started her business around her kitchen table 25 years ago. The cake will also be decorated with the couple’s new cipher – most likely made up of their initials – which will be unveiled on their big day. Also on the refreshment menu for the reception: a chocolate-cookie cake, made by Royal Appointment after sweet-toothed William, 28, specifically asked for it. The McVitie’s biscuit company is producing the dessert, made from a favorite recipe of the Windsors’, for the party. At her bakery in Leicestershire, Cairns explained that each of the tiers of icing-covered, brandy-flavored fruitcake will have a different theme. Detailed piping is being used to make 3-D scrollwork, flowers, leaves and other decorative touches, while the flowers of the four corners of the U.K. will be represented by the English rose, Scottish thistle, Welsh daffodil and Irish shamrock. Cairns, 56, sent samples of different fruit cakes to William and Kate, who chose their favorite, and she has now started baking to allow the cakes the necessary four weeks to mature. Cairns also reveals that Kate is in the driving seat as far as the planning is concerned. She met the princess-to-be at Clarence House, in London, six weeks ago. “She has guided us right from the beginning and has quite strong ideas,” Cairns says. “That makes it much easier than a bride who has absolutely no idea whatsoever, which has happened in the past” … But Kate has clear ideas about the 16 different blooms – including one called ‘Sweet William” … “She knew very much what she wanted, and she brought us mood boards and told us what influences she would like us to use on the cake.” She adds, “There is the bridal rose, which symbolizes happiness, the oak and acorn – which is an architectural detail around the room where the cake will be – symbolizes strength and endurance. There is a lily of the valley, which symbolizes sweetness and humility, and ivy leaves, which symbolize marriage.” William’s office at the palace has also announced that there will be a second cake to provide a sweet at the reception … In all, these will contain about 35 lbs. of chocolate and approximately 1,700 McVitie’s Rich Tea biscuits.

OMG … my mouth actually started salivating just hearing about all these sweet treats being made for the Royal Wedding. I can’t even imagine how amazing it must be for Cairns that her pastries have been chosen for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I’m certain news of her coup will do wonders for her business … which, I’m certain, is already doing very well already. Man … what I wouldn’t give for just a taste of one of these delicious-looking flower pastries. MMMM MMMM MMMM.

Kylie Minogue Expresses Interest In Collaborating With Britney Spears

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 10:52 AM PDT

After trading love letter tweets back and forth on Twitter, Kylie Minogue has gone on the record to say that she would LOVE to collaborate musically with Britney Spears. When asked about the possibility of dueting with Britney on a song, Kylie admitted that she would be very interested in doing so, saying that it would be “awesome”. I can’t even … a collaboration between Kylie and Britney would kill me with happiness.

Kylie Minogue has said doing a duet with pop princess Britney Spears would be “awesome”. The Australian singer, who is on tour in the UK at present has said she thinks Britney Spears “is great”‘ Kylie Minogue has even tweeted her appreciation of Britney Spears songs from her new album. She told Metro: “I tweeted that there's a song from the deluxe edition, He About To Lose Me, that's in my head before I go to sleep,' said Minogue. 'I just wanted to say I am excited about it. She was glad to hear it!' If ever Kylie Minogue and Britney performed together, pop fans across the globe would go bananas. It would be the biggest pop princess collaboration since Madge and Britney sang “Me against the music.” We hope to see Kylie and Britney share the stage one day.

Before it was leaked that Britney will be co-headlining her Summer tour with Enrique Iglesias, I was HOPING and praying for the news to be that Britney and Kylie would be hitting the road together. BUT … even tho they may not be touring together, I think it’s very feasible for the ladies to work together on a song … or two. Ugh … at this point, a Kylie/Britney duet is still a dream … but dreams can come true. Let’s cross our fingers and hope that Kylie gets her wish and does get to duet with Britney some day.

First Look: Pixar Teases Its First-Ever Female Lead Character

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 10:27 AM PDT

Pixar Films has given Entertainment Weekly magazine the first look at their first-ever female lead character to feature in and upcoming animated film. The film, Brave, will also be the first Pixar film to be co-directed by a woman (Brenda Chapman) and will be the first fairytale story made by the film company. Check out a few teaser concept photos of the Brave protagonist named Merida who will be voiced by Scottish actress Kelly MacDonald.

In many ways, Pixar's 13th feature-length movie Brave (out June 22, 2012) ventures into new territory for the animation studio: The Scotland-set adventure film will be Pixar's first fairy tale, its first picture starring a female protagonist, and its first film co-directed by a woman. EW.com has the first look at some of the concept art for the project, and we can also confirm that Reese Witherspoon will no longer voice the movie's heroine, a tomboyish princess named Merida, due to scheduling issues. Instead, the character will be played by the (appropriately) Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald (No Country for Old Men, Boardwalk Empire). Brave is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Julie Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish … Brave is directed by Mark Andrews (the Oscar-nominated short One Man Band) and Brenda Chapman (The Prince of Egypt). Chapman conceived of the project, which was initially titled The Bear and the Bow, and was supposed to be its sole director — and Pixar's first female director. But last October, it was reported that Pixar had replaced Chapman with Andrews. Now, although Andrews is presently in charge of guiding Brave across the finish line, both Andrews and Chapman will be credited as the movie's directors, according to a Disney spokesman.

I honestly never thought about it before but it is pretty unbelievable that Pixar has yet to have a female character star in one of their feature films. I am really loving the idea of a Scottish fairytale and am very anxious to see and hear more. Pixar always does a fantastic job with their films and I have no doubt that Brave will be another of their successes. This first tease has really piqued my curiosity. This is one film that I deffo plan to keep my eye on. It sounds cool, don’t it?

Mariah Carey Shows Off Her Decorated Baby Bump On Twitter

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 10:10 AM PDT

The very pregnant Mariah Carey, who was briefly hospitalized recently after going into false contractions, decided to decorate her very large baby bump and then share the photo with all of her Twitter followers. According to Mimi herself, she isn’t due to give birth for another 2 weeks so … I guess she is running out of things to keep her bizzy in the meantime ;) Check out the photo of Mariah‘s baby bump and some tweets about her quick trip to the hospital.

My attempt @ festiveness on 327! For ATLITL thank u + I♥U! Comin soon #dembabies! LYMA+thanx 4 making me happy:)

Here are the deets about Mariah‘s false alarm hospital visit:

Mariah Carey almost got a doubly blissful birthday present! The singer — who turned 41 on Sunday and is pregnant with twins with husband Nick Cannon — made a precautionary trip to the hospital after experiencing contractions on Saturday night. “So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary!” Mariah Tweeted early Sunday morning. “I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital. “Finally they said I could come home after they got it under control but..They almost came on 3/27- happy anniversary in deed!!!” she added. Though the pains were ruled a false alarm, Mimi said she’s more than ready for their big debut. “We have a few more weeks 2 go but- wow!!!: ) #soreadyallready!” she Tweeted. Meanwhile, Mariah’s hubby took to Twitter earlier this week to express his pre-baby jitters, writing, “I am probably going to faint in the delivery room! I need to man up!” on Thursday. Adding, “Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest in the whole ordeal! I am in awe of my wife!”

Awww … the pink & blue butterfly on her belly is cute. I bet she really can’t wait to get #dembabies out of her belly ;) My guess is that Mariah will bring forth the fruit of her loins before her due date in 2 weeks. She looks ready to pop at any minute. It shant be long now ;)

Daniel Radcliffe Opens His First Broadway Musical

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 09:02 AM PDT

Late last month we got our first look at actor Daniel Radcliffe in rehearsals for his first ever Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and then a few days later we got to see photos of DanRad on the night the show opened in previews. Today we get to see photos of Dan and some of the cast during the curtain call for the show’s official opening night this weekend! Check out a few fun photos and some preview video from the show itself.

For the past ten years, Daniel Radcliffe has been known as the Boy Who Lived as he portrayed the world-famous and beloved character of Harry Potter. But boy wizards have to grow up sometime and with the final film installment due to hit our screens this summer, the young actor has finally left Hogwarts far behind him. On the other side of the Atlantic, to be precise, as last night he shook off his Harry Potter tag once and for all as he wowed Broadway and received rave reviews as he made his eagerly-anticipated musical debut. Radcliffe, 21, is currently starring as the lead in the 50th anniversary revival of the 1961 musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. And last night, after a month of previews, the play officially open to the public, who flocked inside the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Radcliffe plays J. Pierrepont Finch, who relies on the rules of a guidebook called How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, to climb the corporate ladder and go from window washer to chairman of the board. Radcliffe is no stranger to treading the boards, having starred in Equus in 2007 in the West End and on Broadway the following year, as Alan Strang, a stable boy who has an obsession with horses. He also appeared as guest in The Play What I Wrote, a celebration of comedy duo Morecambe and Wise, which was directed by Kenneth Branagh, who starred in the second Harry Potter film. But this was Radcliffe’s musical debut and while critics had mixed thoughts on his singing ability, they all were in agreement that he did a good job … The Associated Press’s Mark Kennedy said he was ‘so darn adorable’ that ‘pockets of smitten teenage girls in the audience will be rooting for his unlikely rise from window washer to chairman of the board’. He commented on his singing ability and said: ‘To be blunt, Radcliffe is not a Broadway singer. His voice is nice, but thin and he strains to fill the theatre – American Idol judge Randy Jackson would call it “pitchy”. Somehow it doesn’t matter. ‘He works so hard that we’re on his side even if he, like his character, doesn’t have the creds. Radcliffe has somehow telegraphed enough personal guts, tenacity and good humor that the audience doesn’t hold it against his smarmy character. Ben Brantley from the New York Times wrote: ‘Mr. Radcliffe is clearly not to the musical manner born, I would give him, oh, a 6 out of 10.’ But he added that he was also the ‘only reason to see the show and added: ‘There's little doubt that audiences will feel like rooting for Mr. Radcliffe. This 21-year-old British actor conscientiously hits his choreographic marks, speaks his lines quickly and distinctly (with a convincing American accent) and often sings on key.’

I completely agree that the only reason to see this show is because Daniel Radcliffe is starring in it. Despite the fact that he may not be a “Broadway singer”, it takes more than just singing to be a Broadway star. Daniel has long ago proven that he has the acting chops to deliver the goods both on screen and on stage. I saw him in Equus back in 2008 and he was just amazing. I have no doubt he will be just as good in How to Succeed in Business … Here is a fun preview video, courtesy of Broadway.com, that shows some highlights of Daniel in this new production of Business:

This show looks so fun! I did not watch the full clip because David and I are planning to see the show when we go back to NYC next month. I am really looking forward to seeing DanRad on the Broadway stage again. How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is now really off and running. Next stop … the Tony Awards?

Britney Spears Rocks San Francisco For ‘Good Morning America’

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 08:26 AM PDT

After performing a raucous couple of mini-concerts on Friday night in Las Vegas, NV, our dear Britney Spears made her way to San Francisco, CA yesterday to perform again in a special concert setting that was being filmed for Good Morning America. Britney performed the same set of 3 songs she performed in LV and was honored by the mayor of San Francisco with a proclamation that March 29, 2011 is declared Britney Spears Day! Check out photos below of Brit‘s performance, video of her award ceremony and a fun personal photo that Brit shared of her father Jamie Spears posing with a couple of drag queens.

Britney Spears made 5,000 fans very happy today, performing a concert for “Good Morning America” at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Singing three songs from her new album “Femme Fatale,” Spears danced on stage, wowing the packed auditorium. The new album — her seventh — comes out on Tuesday. Spears, 29, greeted the crowd in a silver sequined body-suit, and sang “Hold It Against Me.” Her adoring fans, some of whom had been camped out all night, held signs and screamed for the pop star. “I thought it was amazing. She was really great,” said Sarah Ammann, a fan from San Francisco. “She’s the ultimate performer. She’s definitely back,” added Alicia Kennon of Brentwood, Calif. Spears changed costumes and surprised the crowd by coming out of a speaker, dancing and singing “Big Fat Bass.” Wearing a black leotard and a black officer hat, she climbed on speakers that were set up on the stage, to cheers from the concertgoers. For her last song, Spears sang “Till The World Ends,” wearing a black leotard spotted with flashing red lights and fishnet tights. Spears closed the show standing on a metal structure facing to the crowd while a fireworks-like explosion lit up the stage. As she left the stage, fans screamed and cheered for more. “I thought it was good, she looked really good and the crowd was into the last song,” Nick Casey of Brentwood said. Even though free tickets to the show sold out in 14 minutes when they were made available last week, fans were lined up outside the venue and tried to get in to see the star. “GMA” anchor Robin Roberts described the concert as “phenomenal,” saying “the energy, the people, the dancing the music, Britney — it was tremendous!”

It is believed that Britney‘s “special announcement” will be the news that we heard over the weekend … that she is going on a co-headlining tour with Enrique Iglesias.

At the end of Britney‘s performance, the mayor of San Francisco presented her with a proclamation that decreed that March 29, 2011 is Britney Spears Day in the city of San Francisco:

Here is video of her award presentation:

Britney‘s father Jamie Spears got in on the San Fran fun and posed for this photo which Britney shared on her official Twitter profile:

Just wrapped GMA. I love love love you San Francisco! -Britney / PS – Even my dad had a great time! – Britney

LOL! I love it!! The queens above have been identified as Trannyshack legend Heklina and The Queen of San Francisco Media herself Pollo Del Mar. After all of the hoopla at the GMA performance was finished, Britney tried to visit some places in the Castro District … but she was mobbed so badly that she really couldn’t enjoy her visit very much:

Leaving the Castro District. I wanted to see more but I could barely get out the car!!! I love you all SO much -Brit

Make sure you tune in tomorrow to watch Britney‘s San Fran performances on Good Morning America bright and early tomorrow morning. We will finally get to see her perform the songs Hold It Against Me, Till the World Ends and Big Fat Bass without all that shaky camerawork. She’s had a bizzy weekend … and still has a bizzy week ahead. With appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live, she still has some work to do to promote the release of her new album Femme Fatale which comes out TOMORROW! Behold, it’s Britney Spears Week!

UPDATE: Pink reader Christian sends in this amazing HQ video of Britney‘s entire performance of Till The World Ends:

Too fabulous! I don’t care what anyone says, she looks fantastic in this video! I can’t wait to see the other 2 performances on GMA tomorrow!!

David Beckham, Tom Cruise & Sons Are Basketball BFFs

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 07:47 AM PDT

BFFs David Beckham and Tom Cruise ran into one another at the Staples Center in downtown LA last night at the LA Lakers basketball game and exchanged pleasantries in between the action on the court. Both men were at the game with their respective sons — Brooklyn Joseph and Connor Antony — but took some time to say hello to one another before going to their seats. Becks and Cruise were the best of friends when the Beckham family first moved to the US a few years ago but they don’t seem to spend a lot of time together so much anymore. At least they are able to run into one another at events like this.

They were among the first Hollywood stars to welcome the Beckhams to Los Angeles four years ago. But while Victoria’s friendship with Katie Holmes appears to have fallen by the wayside, husband David is still good mates with Tom Cruise. And he greeted his friend warmly as they bumped into each other at the LA Lakers game at the Staples Centre last night. Cruise, 48, and Beckham, 35, shook each other’s hand and stood chatting by their courtside seats. As they caught up, David’s eldest son Brooklyn, 12, and Cruise’s adopted son Connor, 16, listened in smiling, occasionally joining in with their famous fathers’ conversation. Cruise and Connor then went to take their seats just along from the Beckham boys, stopping on the way to say hi and give a kiss to Vanessa Hudgens, who was there with her actor friend Josh Hutcherson … it had been a while since Beckham and Cruise had been snapped together, even though they keep in touch and Cruise is often seen at LA Galaxy games to support his footballer friend. Last December, the pair started an exclusive club called the Midnight Boys Bike Club, and invited a number of Hollywood stars, including Orlando Bloom and Brad Pitt, to join them for midnight cruises through the Hollywood Hills. Both Cruise and Beckham own F131 Hellcat Combat motorcycles that cost £55,000 each. But while they remain friends, the same can’t be said of Victoria, 36, and Katie, 32, who are believed to have drifted apart about a year after the Beckhams moved to LA and struck up a friendship with the acting couple. The ladies were inseparable at first and were often snapped out for lunch or shopping together and even jetted off for Paris Fashion Week. But according to reports, Victoria began distancing herself from Katie after she made it clear she didn’t want to join the Scientology religion, which Katie and Tom follow. Victoria is also believed to have disagreed with Katie over the way she was raising her daughter Suri and got concerned when the Dawson’s Creek actress began copying her style.

While I’m sure it was for Becks to run into his old friend Tom, last night’s basketball game was really all about some male bonding between Becks and his eldest son Brooklyn:

I really, really love how much time Beckham spends with his children. It’s always nice to see him with all 3 of his sons but the alone time he spends with his eldest is just the cutest thing ever.

Prince William Keeps His Bachelor Party On The Downlow

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 07:11 AM PDT

Over the weekend, Prince Harry — the coverboy of the new issue of British GQ magazine — orchestrated a bachelor (stag) party for his older brother Prince William, who is due to be married to Kate Middleton next month. In the weeks leading up to the shindig, it was reported that the party would be themed around water sports but those plans changed and instead William and his boys made their way to the country to celebrate privately. No official details have been announced and none of the attendees have dished on the soirĂ©e … just as Prince William wished.

When Prince William chose his brother Prince Harry to be his best man, he may have expected he would spend his stag party downing cocktails in the public eye at some of London’s fashionable nightspots. Instead, at the weekend he marked the end of his bachelor days with a low-key private party, thought to have been held at a friend’s country estate outside London. The party was attended by about 20 of the Prince’s closest friends including James Meade, whom he met at Eton, and Thomas van Straubenzee who attended Ludgrove Prep School in Berkshire with the Prince Hugh van Cutsem, one of Prince Charles’s godsons, was also present. His father owns a large estate in Norfolk, leading to speculation that it could have provided the perfect bolt-hole for a low-key event. Guy Pelly, a nightclub owner renowned for his love of partying, is understood to have planned the stag weekend with Prince Harry. But as with all good stag nights it appears the details of what went on are unlikely to emerge. All guests were sworn to secrecy. Mr Straubenzee yesterday declined to comment. He said: “I’m very sorry but I have got to keep it a secret. I hope you understand.” The Prince, who will marry Kate Middleton next month, had initially planned to spend the weekend taking part in a variety of watersports in Exmouth, Devon, including racing speedboats and water-skiing. The plans were cancelled, however, after they were leaked to the press. Journalists had flocked to the River Exe hoping for a glimpse of the royal party. It was rumoured that Prince Harry had chosen the Turf Locks pub as the venue for part of the party. Yesterday, as Prince William and his friends returned from the weekend, a source at St James’s Palace confirmed that the event had taken place but refused to discuss any details. The source said: “I can confirm that Prince William’s stag party happened this weekend. It was an entirely private event and we don’t intend to make any further comment.” The Prince’s desire for a low-key party was similar to that of his father, Prince Charles, who held his stag night within the confines of a suite at Whites, a gentleman’s club, before marrying Lady Diana Spencer.

As much as I (and I’m sure, many of you) would LOVE to know all the juicy details from Prince William‘s bachelor party, this is the way it should be done … with a group of close, personal friends who you can trust with your secrets. I’m sure it’s difficult for someone like Prince William to find friends that he can absolutely trust but it sounds like he’s got at least 20 friends in whole he can place his trust. I understand the bachelor party was meant to happen closer to the April 29 wedding date but as we learned yesterday, Prince Harry will be participating in part on the Walking with the Wounded trek to the North Pole in the coming weeks and will only return early from that trip to attend his brother’s wedding. I’m certain Prince William and his BFFs had themselves some good, clean fun at the stag party this weekend … any guesses what the guys got up to?
