Britney Spears Braves The Rain To Shop With Her Sons

Britney Spears, who is about to start a whirlwind few days of promo for the release next Tuesday of her new album Femme Fatale, spent some time yesterday with her sons in Calabasas, CA so that they could do a bit of shopping for a birthday party that Sean Preston has been invited to. Despite the ceaseless rain that fell all day long yesterday, Britney and sons made their way to Gymboree to pick up a few things for the party and mebbe for themselves as well.


You can see that Sean P. was clutching his coveted birthday party invite so my guess is that the family went out in search of a gift for that lucky birthday boy or girl. It’s nice that Britney had time to do this fun errand with her sons because she is going to be real bizzy all weekend long. Tomorrow she will make her way to Las Vegas before flying from there to San Francisco to perform on Sunday. Then she’s back home here in LA to make an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next week in support of the release of her album Tuesday. Rain or shine, Britney mania is about to explode all around the world. I can’t wait!!

‘Sucker Punch’ Premieres In Hollywood

Actresses Vanessa Hudgens, Malin Akerman, Jamie Chung and Abbie Cornish stepped out in Hollywood last night for the premiere of their new Zack Snyder-directed fantasy/sci-fi action adventure film Sucker Punch. The film, described by Snyder as “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns”, tells the tale of a group of female characters who band together as they escape from a 1950 era asylum … or something like that. All I really know is that the film is full of hot babes kickin’ ass. Check out some photos from last night’s premiere below.


I saw the trailer for Sucker Punch a couple of weeks ago on the big screen and I had absolutely no idea what I was looking at … but I did know it was a film that I was curious to see. You don’t really see many female-led action films at all, let alone a film that features an ensemble cast of female characters. There is a dreamy quality to the way this film looks … and that is really appealing to me. Darion has already insisted that we make plans to see Sucker Punch so … yeah, I’m lookin’ forward to it. With a bevy of beauties like this in the case, how can I resist? Are any of y’all planning to check out Sucker Punch in theaters this weekend?

Jake Gyllenhaal made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to promote his new film Source Code and to give Jimmy some good natured ribbing about his style choices. In addition to promoting his movie and joking around with Kimmel, our dear Jakey poo also shared some cute stories from his recent 30th birthday party. Rachel Bilson & Hayden Christensen Insist That They Are Still Dating

Last August we learned that the nearly invisible couple made up of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen decided to end their relationship … and then a few months later in November we heard that the couple had gotten back together … and then went back to being invisible. Today a representative for the couple is insisting that Rachel and Hayden are still together after a report came out this week that claimed that they had broken up again. Because I know this is press stopping news, I simply had to pass along the good news to all y’all.

Rachel Bilson’s representative has moved quickly to dismiss a report suggesting the actress and her “Jumper” co-star Hayden Christensen have ended their on/off romance for good. The actors reunited earlier in 2011 after calling off their engagement on August 2010 amid rumors they were struggling to maintain a long-distance relationship. A source has told Us Weekly the romance is over, insisting, “They’re done this time…” But Bilson’s rep claims the insider is very much mistaken. She tells Celebuzz, “There is no truth to this, Rachel and Hayden are still dating.” Rachel has started dating Hayden after they met on the set of their 2008 film “Jumper”. In August 2010, after words spread in mid-June that the couple were taking a break from each other, a representative for Rachel came forth with the announcement that the former star of “The O.C.” and her actor fiance have indeed called off their engagement. They got back together three months after the announcement.

I find it so odd that Rachel and Hayden are never, ever seen together in public (except for the occasional pop-up once or twice a year) and yet are so adamant about making sure that people know they are together. I can totally understand why a celebrity couple would want to keep their relationship quiet and private — I can even commend a couple for being successful in that endeavor. But it doesn’t make much sense to me why a couple who doesn’t seem to care about being seen as a couple would insist that the world know they are together. I’ve always found the romantic affiliation between these two strange … but … if it works for them, then good for them. Happy to know that they’re still together … I guess.

Watch: Adidas Releases A New TV Commercial Featuring David Beckham

David Beckham is lacing up his adidas sneakers as celebrity spokesman again in a new ad for the company’s line of ClimaCool Ride sneakers. In the new clip, Becks is shown running around an empty football stadium as he keeps cool while training in his ClimaCool Ride shoes by adidas. Check out the video below.

Soccer hunk and dad-to-be David Beckham is showing off his skills in a commercial for the new "all Adidas" campaign, which captures the passion athletes, musicians and artists put into their "game." In Beckham's spot, which premiered today, the soccer star sports a pair of bright blue ClimaCool Ride shoes and runs through an empty stadium, working his hot bod during some intense warm-ups. The shoe is the brand's newest pair of kicks, boasting 360-degree ventilation, which attacks the humidity and temperature issues that often cause foot discomfort in athletes. And the footwear is just as fashionable as it is functional — the shoe comes in 26 different hues.


Meh … the video is okay … I guess. It would be a much more … potent clip if Becks were a bit more sweaty and he if he were wearing nothing but these fancy adidas sneakers but … I guess I’ll take what I can get. I love adidas shoes so much … not only because David Beckham is a spokesman but because of their fantastic line of Star Wars shoes in addition to their collaboration with Jeremy Scott. One can never own too many pairs of adidas so … maybe I’ll have to pick up a pair of these nifty new David Beckham-approved sneaks ;)

Rachel Zoe Gives Birth To A Baby Boy!

When last we saw photos of Rachel Zoe out and about, she was teetering around on sky high heels shopping for a baby crib but today we learn that the time to prepare for the baby’s arrival is over … cuz Rachel has given birth to her newborn son! Rachel and hubby Rodger Berman decided to name their son Skyler Morrison!! Woot!! Read the official statement from the couple below.

Rachel Zoe is bananas for her new baby boy! The celebrity stylist and husband Rodger Berman have welcomed their first child, a son named Skyler Morrison Berman, in Los Angeles, her rep tells PEOPLE. He weighed in at 6 lbs., 12 oz. and is 20 inches long. “Mom and Dad ‘LITERALLY’ could not be happier or more in love with their son!” the couple said in a statement. Zoe, 39, whose notorious work ethic is documented on The Rachel Zoe Project managed to take it easy during her pregnancy, which she recently called a “wonderful, drama-free time.” While Zoe decided to forego gifts in favor of donations to the charity Baby2Baby at her recent baby shower, it’s safe to assume her son will be one fashionable baby.

OMG … Rachel Zoe is a mom. A MOTHER, y’all!! I can’t even believe she had a boy … the universe sure has a great sense of humor. Not only is it kinda strange to think of Rachel Zoe as a mother but the fact that she gave birth to a boy and not a girl is just … amazing. Let’s send all of our love and congrats to the newly expanded family. I can’t WAIT to see how Rachel will be dressing Baby Boy Zoe.

Duran Duran Rock Rock LA

Last night I was very lucky to be invited to attend Duran Duran‘s amazing Unstaged performance at the Mayan Theater in downtown LA and was finally able to see LIVE for the first time one of my all-time fave bands. Because of the horrid weather, I missed the first couple songs of the performance but I did get to the venue in time to see the BEST parts of the show. Check out some of my photos and some video from last night’s Duran Duran concert here in LA.


From my vantage point I got to see the whole show … but was a bit too far to snap great photos. Still, I had a blast and loved the show entirely. The concert was livestreamed on You Tube last night (I hope you got to see it) and today some select songs have been made available for sharing. Elizabeth Taylor Will Be Laid To Rest Today

Yesterday the world awoke to the sad news that Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor passed away due to heart failure and today we learn that she will be laid to rest today. According to the beliefs of her religion (she converted to Judaism in 1959), Taylor‘s funeral and burial will take place later today.

Elizabeth Taylor, who converted to Judaism for her marriages to Mike Todd and Eddie Fisher, is following the rules of the religion by being buried soon after her death Wednesday. The funeral for the star, who succumbed to congestive heart failure at age 79, is taking place at Forest Lawn, Glendale, on Thursday, say reports. It will be strictly for family members, including her 10 grandchildren. The cemetery is also where Taylor’s friend, Michael Jackson, is buried. It is expected that a public memorial for Taylor will take place at a later date. Taylor had four children: Michael and Christopher Wilding (whose father was Taylor’s second husband, actor Michael Wilding), Liza Todd (daughter of Taylor and third husband, the showman Mike Todd) and Maria Burton (adopted by Taylor and actor Richard Burton, husband Nos. five and six).

Wow … things are moving really fast here. Earlier today, Elizabeth Taylor‘s death certificate was released to the public …


… and now we learn that she will be laid to her eternal rest today. I absolutely understand that the family wants to grieve privately and putting off a funeral/burial doesn’t lessen the pain of loss at all so … today it is. It’s still so stunning to think that Elizabeth Taylor has died … and now she’ll be eulogized and buried all in the span of just 2 days. May she rest in eternal and blissful peace.

Chris Colfer Reveals That Another Kurt & Blaine Kiss Is Coming To ‘Glee’

Last week we got to see video of actors Chris Colfer and Darren Criss share their first kiss together on Glee and today we learn from Colfer that another smooch is on the way. Altho Chris reveals that he does not know what exactly will take place during the upcoming Prom Episode of Glee, I’m guessing that Kurt and Blaine will attend the prom together … and will likely share their second on-screen kiss on the dancefloor.

Chris Colfer has admitted that he does not know what will happen in the prom episode of Glee. The show’s creator Ryan Murphy previously revealed that Colfer’s character Kurt will go to the event with Blaine (Darren Criss). Speaking to Zap2It, Colfer explained that he isn’t sure how the storyline will unfold. “I don’t know,” he said. “I hope we don’t get overlooked.” Colfer also joked that he doesn’t know whether a school could have two prom kings, saying: “Here’s the thing – would a school actually have two crowns waiting, just in case? I know my high school would not, just in case.” Colfer added that he has filmed another kiss with Criss, saying: “It was [better than the first one]. It was different.” Glee returns for a new episode in the US next month.

Yay … this is great news. I am so looking forward to the day when same-sex affection can air on TV shows without there having to be an announcement or any need to react afterward … just like we don’t hear announcements about the mundane heterosexual affection that takes place on TV shows every single day, I know that one day same-sex affection will be just as normal … just as mundane. But, until that day comes … I’m happy that we can, at least, look forward to positive presentations of same-sex affection. Of course Kurt and Blaine will continue to kiss on Glee … and I can’t wait to see it :D

Chris Brown Apologizes For His Violent Outburst On ‘Good Morning America’

Yesterday we learned that convicted felon Chris Brown lost his temper and exploded in a violent outburst in the ABC News studios in NYC, NY after he was asked a couple of questions about his assault conviction a couple of years ago. In hindsight, Brown realized that his violence was unwarranted and he appeared on BET‘s 106 & Park to publicly apologize for the outburst. Saying that he felt “exploited”, Brown explained that his violent outburst was a result of his need to “release [his] anger” at being questioned during the interview.

“First of all, I just wanna apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really disappointed in my actions, because I was disappointed with the way I acted. A lot of people don’t know what went down, and obviously when I do shows or when I do interviews, we always send out a talking point sheet. As the interview proceeded, it was kinda thrown off. I was thrown off by it. I felt like they told us this just so they could get us on the show so they can exploit me. So I took it very, very hard and I really kinda kept my composure throughout the whole interview, although you can see me upset, I kept my composure, I did my performance. And when I got back, I just let off steam. I didn’t physically hurt anyone, I didn’t try to hurt anyone, I just wanted to release the anger that I had inside me because I felt that I worked so hard for this music and I felt like people kept just trying to take it away from me. So yes, I got very emotional, and I wanna apologize for acting like that.”

IMHO, this apology is nothing but lip service. Brown has a new album out this week and he wants people to buy it so he felt compelled to offer an apology to try and move past this latest incident of violence. I do not buy it for one second. I am utterly convinced that this sort of outrageously violent behavior will happen again … I just hope the next time he blows up an needs to “release his anger” no one else will get hurt physically by his actions.

Reese Witherspoon Begins Wedding Preparations

Yesterday we saw photos of birthday girl Reese Witherspoon out for a family birthday dinner with her fiancée Jim Toth and her children Ava Elizabeth & Deacon Reese and today we get to see new photos of the bride-to-be taking care of a few last minute errands before her big wedding this weekend. Reese was spotted doing a bit of shopping in Brentwood, CA yesterday while white tents were being erected at her home in Ojai, CA … the site of her planned nuptials this weekend.


It’s unclear if this fun pink package is for her (mebbe something sexy to wear on her wedding night?) or if it’s a gift for someone else but … with only a couple days left until her big day, she’s running out of shopping days. While Reese was taking care of biz here in the LA area yesterday, big white tents were going up at her home in Ojai … where she will reportedly marry Jim on Saturday:


Oh yeah, as soon as you see tents going up … you know a wedding won’t be far behind. Stay tuned … I’m sure we’ll be hearing and hopefully seeing a lot from Reese and Jim‘s wedding this weekend. The countdown has begun … very soon Reese and Jim will be saying their I Dos.

Alyson Hannigan Gives Satyana Some Birthday Lurve

Birthday Lurve goes out to Alyson Hannigan and her beautiful daughter Satyana today as the mommy/daughter duo each celebrate another year of life. Aly turns 37 and Satyana, if you can believe it, turns 2!! As a precursor to today’s birthday celebrations, Aly and Sati ventured out for a walk yesterday and shared some early Birthday Lurve with one another … in the most adorable way.

How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan enjoyed a playful afternoon with her daughter Satyana yesterday. The actress, 37, doted over the toddler, who turns two today, as they took a stroll through the streets of Santa Monica. At one point the pair piled onto a scooter and took a spin together. As well as her daughter’s birthday, Hannigan has yet another cause for celebration – her hit CBS series has been signed up for another two years. The renewal agreement between was announced on Monday, extending the show to 2012 and 2013 … As well as shooting hit U.S. TV comedy, Hannigan is also gearing up to shoot American Pie 4 now too, reprising her role as Michelle Flaherty-Levenstein. The movie is due out in January 2012.

Yes!! Great news to celebrate all around … but I think the lovely ladies’ birthday today is of paramount importance. How in the HECK did Satyana become a 2 year old CHILD already? OY!!! Still, the darling little girl manages to get cuter and cuter with each passing day. Let’s send all of our love and best wishes to Alyson and Satyana today. Here’s hoping all of their birthday wishes come true! LOVE them!!!

Watch: ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Releases A Full-Length Trailer

Yesterday we got to see a promo video that features new footage from Captain America: The First Avenger and today we learn that that footage is from the film’s first full-length trailer. In February we got to see a short, 30-second trailer spot for The First Avenger during the Super Bowl but today we get to check out a nice, long 2:30 min. trailer of Captain America footage. Check it out below.


This new trailer gives us a more well-rounded look at the film … pretty much from beginning to almost end. And overall, I really like it:


While I still am not in love with this WWII era Captain America costume, I do think it’ll work much better in the context of the film. I already like it much better in action in this trailer so … yeah. Come July 22, we will see Captain America come to life on the big screen. I’m excited. This trailer is great promo for the film … I can’t wait to see more. What do y’all think? Impressed?

Britney Spears’s Concert Promo Stage Has Been Revealed

We are just days away from a promo blitz by Britney Spears, in celebration of the release of her new album Femme Fatale, and today we are getting our first look (courtesy of manager Adam Leber) at the promo stage that our dear Britney will be performing on this weekend. It’s unclear if the stage featured below will be used in Las Vegas, NV for her MTV Spring Break appearance tomorrow night or (more likely) will be used Sunday in San Francisco, CA for her pre-taped Good Morning America performance but in either instance, the stage looks great! Check it out below.

Eliza Dushku Lands A New TV Show On CBS

Buffyverse alum Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) has announced on her official Facebook profile that she is coming back to TV this Fall. Eliza, who last starred on the Joss Whedon show Dollhouse on Fox, broke the news yesterday that she will be filming a comedy pilot with Damon Wayans for CBS. As you may recall, we learned back in January that Sarah Michelle Gellar landed a Fall pilot of her own for CBS … so it looks like the network (which is home to How I Met Your Mother starring Alyson Hannigan) is the new home for Buffyverse alums.

From Deadline: In her first regular comedy gig, Eliza Dushku is set as the female lead opposite Damon Wayans in CBS’ untitled sports radio show pilot. The multicamera comedy, from veteran writer-producers Bill Martin and Mike Schiff, is inspired by ESPN personality Colin Cowherd's outspoken sports talk show. It centers on Nick (Wayans), an egotistical sports-radio host with a quick wit and cocky likability who is adored by his fans. Dushku will play Nick’s radio cohort Casey, a fun, quick-witted gal who is socially oblivious and pathologically blunt. Dushku, repped by UTA and The Collective, is best known for her roles on dramas Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tru Calling and Dollhouse. She recently guest starred on another CBS multicamera comedy, The Big Bang Theory.

YES!!! This is such great news!! I love Eliza and I’m glad to learn that she will be returning to TV this Fall. I think it’ll be nice to see her in a comedic role rather than the broody dramatic and sci-fi-related projects she is mostly known for. One of my fave movies is the comedy Bring It On and Eliza is amazingly funny in that film. This is very happy news! Now Eliza will join Aly and SMG at CBS … how amazing is that? Long live the Buffyverse!!
