Watch: A Trailer For ‘Britney Spears: I Am The Femme Fatale’ Has Been Released

Yesterday we got our first tease of the new MTV special documentary Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale and today we get to see a couple clips and a full length trailer for the special, due out on Sunday night. Additionally, Britney gave an interview to NYC radio station Z100 and talked a bit about her upcoming tour (tho, not about who she may be touring with). Check out all the clips below!

To be honest, I doubt we’ll really get any insight as to what is really going on with Britney these days … this special is clearly just a way to promote the release of her new album. Still, I can’t wait to see it. I simply cannot get enough of Femme Fatale. It’s just a fantastic album. Every track, every bonus track … including the Japanese bonus track Scary … all of the songs are SO good! I’m curious to see how much we will really see from the creation of the album.

Don’t forget, Britney is scheduled to appear at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards this weekend. Will she perform or just appear on stage? I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out. Despite some of the crazy negativity going around, I am still very excited for all this new Britney news. The music is just too fun not to enjoy anything associated with it :D

‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ Releases A Mermaid Movie Poster

Earlier this month we got to see a dramatic poster for the upcoming sequel film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides that featured a very dramatic-looking Captain Jack Sparrow and today we get to see a new poster that features the mermaid characters that will be seen in the film. As I understand it, these mermaids aren’t really very friendly … but they sure are alluring and beautiful. Check out the poster below.


I like the idea of this poster but … not only does it not look life-like but it doesn’t really look all that alluring either. Still, I am very anxious to see how these creatures are utilized in the film. I love the idea of mermaids going up against Captain Jack and his crew. I just wish their poster looked more attractive.

‘People’ Magazine Pays Homage To The Late Elizabeth Taylor

Last week the world lost the legendary, iconic actress and humanitarian Elizabeth Taylor and this week People magazine is paying homage to her memory by putting her beautiful face on the cover of their new issue. As far as tributes go, People magazine always tends to do these things very well … so this is an issue that you Elizabeth Taylor fans might want to pick up.


I understand that this issue of People magazine will feature a nice overview of Elizabeth‘s life, loves and career highpoints. It’s really crazy to think that she is gone … but by keeping her memory alive, she can remain with us always. This looks like a lovely and very fitting tribute.

Jude Law & Kevin Spacey Join The Protest Against Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko

Actors Jude Law, Kevin Spacey and others took to the streets of London this week to stage a public protest against Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus. According to the protestors, Lukashenko is nothing more than a dictator who has captured a host of political prisoners and their protest this week is meant to call for an end of his regime. Jude Law and Kevin Spacey joined more than 100 protesters last night calling for an end to the dictatorship in Belarus. They joined campaigners including playwright Sir Tom Stoppard and actor Roger Lloyd Pack to march for freedom of expression in Belarus and the release of political prisoners held by its president, Alexander Lukashenko. Jude, 38, is known for his campaigning, mostly publicly for the UN-backed Peace One Day charity of which he is ambassador and which campaigns for all wars to cease for a day each year on September 21. Spacey, 51, said he was moved to act and protest about human rights violations in Belarus after watching the Belarus Free Theatre (BFT) perform in New York last year. He told the Evening Standard: ‘It’s the only time I’ve read a programme saying nearly every single member of a theatre company has been arrested or imprisoned.’ Law, who has been filming new movie 360 in London over the past with Rachel Weisz, 41, added: ‘Freedom of speech is not just about artistic expression but also about fundamental freedoms. We have the opportunity in this country to be heard and to use our freedom of speech.’ He continued: ‘It’s our responsibility, therefore, that we speak for those who are less fortunate, especially as fellow Europeans. ‘One would hope that this dictator will internationally be recognised for what he’s doing, the tyranny that he’s forcing people to live under.’ The demonstration began outside public relations consultancy firm Grayling, in Victoria, central London, with the protesters calling for the company to end its business within the former Soviet republic. The demonstrators then marched to the House of Commons where the BFT, whose members have been targeted and imprisoned for speaking out against the government of the dictator president, were to perform. American Beauty star Spacey also revealed that he had just discovered that his own films and those of Law have now been banned in Belarus because of their involvement with the protests. He said: ‘They can ban as many films as they want but they will never be able to ban the Belarus people’s right to fight for their freedom and their voices to be heard, and that’s what this protest is about.’

It is rare to see actors become so politically motivated but, I have to say, it’s very refreshing. It makes sense that actors like Law and Spacey would want to add their famous names and faces to the protest because of the way the arts are being censored in Belarus. It’s heartening to see celebs care so deeply for a cause they believe in. It remains to be seen if their involvement will help the cause but kudos to them for standing up and speaking out for something they believe in.

Lily Allen’s Wedding Date & Invitation Have Been Revealed

Lily Allen and her fiancée Sam Cooper were hoping to have a secret wedding this Summer but one of their invited wedding guests (well, formerly invited) decided to spill the deets of their planned nuptials and share the wedding invite with the world (actually, it was only a Save the Date card). As a result, Lily Allen is really peeved her plans have been revealed … and she is tweeting all about it.

It’s confirmed: Lily Allen will wed Sam Cooper on June 11 in Gloucestershire, England. But the pop star isn’t happy about how the news broke. Someone who was invited to the nuptials apparently sent the save-the-date card to the British newspapers, leaving Allen, 25, fuming. “Oh and whoever leaked my wedding invite to the press, you’re a dick and your[sic] not invited anymore, have some respect and stay at home,” she wrote Wednesday on Twitter. The card itself amusingly shows Cooper and Allen’s faces crudely Photoshopped onto the bodies of a frumpy couple riding a tractor. Cooper, an upmarket decorator and owner of a building company, reportedly popped the question to Allen over the Christmas holidays, following a rough year for the couple, who in October lost a baby they were expecting. Allen has been deep in wedding planning of late, reportedly meeting with Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld in Paris this month to talk about her dress.

Aww, poor Lily. I mean, I guess it’s to be expected that this sort of news won’t be kept quiet for long. If Lily really wanted to keep her wedding date quiet, she should’ve never send out cards so early and rather informed her closest, most trusted friends much closer to the planned wedding date. Still, this Save the Date card is really cute. I hope she doesn’t let this info leak ruin her big day. Here’s hoping Lily and Sam‘s wedding day goes off without a hitch and they live happily ever after despite this miniscule hiccup ;)

Judge Judy Hospitalized But Doing ‘Really Fine’

Earlier today Judith Judge Judy Sheindlin was rushed from the set of her TV show to the hospital after she started suffering intestinal pain. Thankfully, according to Judy herself, her illness was merely a bout of exhaustion and nothing serious. Shortly after Judy was admitted into the hospital, she confirmed to TMZ that everything is “really fine” and that she just needs a bit of rest to recuperate.

Judge Judy just called Harvey Levin from her hospital bed to tell him she’s fine, saying, “I’m just exhausted, and my body was telling me it needed a day to chill.” Judge told Harvey, “I was feeling funky this morning … funky enough that I knew someone should give a gander over what I got.” As TMZ reported, Judge was taken by ambulance to the hospital after complaining of intestinal discomfort. Judge said, “I’m really fine. I wanted to go back to work this afternoon,” adding, “I’m exhausted. I’m just tired. A lot of things just zoned together, including the bad news of the world.” Her Honor also said, “At my age, I know my body. My body is fine.” Judy says she’s at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.., where she just had an MRI. Doctors are doing a few more tests and she says she’ll be out tomorrow. Judy says, “I’m gonna go home tomorrow. It was a bad idea to fly home tonight.” Judy has one big regret about going to the hospital today. She says some people from Las Vegas were coming to see her this afternoon to talk about a new Judge Judy slot machine. She says the meeting will be put on hold for a week.

To be honest, I did get worried when I learned of Judy‘s hospitalization … I’m glad to know it was just a case of exhaustion. I’d hate to think about how the wheels of Justice would surely grind to a halt if anything ever happened to Her Esteemed Honor, Judge Judy. I’m certain that after a bit of bed rest, Judy will be back to her good ol’ self … doling out swift and exacting justice.

Salem Bring Their Spooky Sound To LA

Ever since I fell in love with the Michigan band Salem last year (to the point that I named their debut album King Night as my #1 Album of 2010), I’ve been DYING to see the band live on stage. Last night, at long last, Salem finally brought their show to SoCal and my BFF Angie and I got to see them live for the first time. I was thrilled to see that Salem are able to bring the amazingness live in much the same way they do on their album. They put on one Hell of a show … literally.


It’s always so hard to describe what kind of music Salem makes. It’s a little bit rock, punk, electronic, hip hop and noise all jumbled together into a sound that is unlike anything I’ve ever really heard before. The music is spooky, yes, but it’s also sonically really engaging. I don’t think their music is for everyone but I deffo dig them and LOVED their live set last night. Here are a couple of videos I filmed of their show. IMHO, the quality isn’t great but at least you get a feel for what their live set is like:


You wanna talk about Big Fat Bass? I could feel my ribcage vibrating thruout the band’s entire set. I loved every second of the show. Jack Donoghue brought the beats and rhymes, Heather Marlatt brought the keyboards and ethereal vocals (not to mention her Detroit Red Wings hockey jersey) and John Holland brought the guitars and more subdued vocals. Together, Salem mixes a concoction of inventive music that I am LOVING right now. If this band sounds like the kind of thing you’re into, I highly suggest seeing them live. It’s a fun experience. Be warned tho, Salem didn’t take the stage last night until about 12:30 AM. I mean, duh, of course a band named Salem is going to play really late shows.

Today … I need to rest up. The weather is hot and beautiful … and I plan to just enjoy it. Happy Hump Day!!

Michael Lohan, who was just arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Kate Major, is happily showing off the new lady in his life in — what seems to me — to be a vain attempt at attention-mongering … which, if you’re at all familiar with Michael Lohan, is just par for the course. Lohan has been flaunting his new “love” on Twitter and is talking to any and everyone about her. Brace yourselves and read below for all the gory details.

His daughter may be the troubled celebrity, but Michael Lohan was acting like the famous family member yesterday. In a very public display of affection he tweeted photos showing him embracing his latest conquest – a young nurse. It comes just one week after Lohan broke up with girlfriend Kate Majors, who accused him of physically assaulting her. He faces domestic violence charges following the allegations. Lohan, 50, boasted about his new conquest, writing comments like: ‘U R amazing’ and ‘good food GREAT company’. The young brunette beauty is said to be called Bernadette, with Lohan saying they met on the beach in Florida. The images also show the slender brunette nurse, wearing a yellow top, eating lunch at an outdoor table. ‘Bernadette is a nurse who I met at the beach in Florida,’ Lohan told RadarOnline.com. ‘I’m here with her now but after I get back to Los Angeles, she’s coming up to New York with me.’

ICK. I remember when Lohan hooked up with Kate Major and how sorry I felt for her for getting involved with this man … but boy did she learn her lesson. I can only hope that Bernadette, or whatever this woman’s name is, will not have to go thru the crap that Kate did for having gotten involved with Michael Lohan. I can’t even deal … I kinda want to gouge my eyes out now. I guess we’ll have to see if this new “relationship” will stand the test of time … or if it’s merely all for show. For this chick’s sake, I hope it does turn out to be a sham.

Rihanna Openly Shares Her Sexual Proclivities With ‘Rolling Stone’ Magazine

Earlier this week we got our first look at Rihanna‘s cheeky coverphoto for Rolling Stone magazine and today we get to check out photos, video and excerpts from her new Rolling Stone coverstory. In her interview, Rihanna opens up about the abuse she suffered at the hands of the still-violent Chris Brown in addition to sharing her sexual fantasies. Did you know that Rihanna doesn’t just like to sing about S&M, she likes to engage in it as well. Read on for all the juicy deets.

The new issue of Rolling Stone features a deep interview with Rihanna in which she talks about her difficult upbringing, the endless rumors about her relationships and why she agreed to let a judge ease the restraining order against Chris Brown. “That’s my decision,” she says. “It doesn’t mean we’re gonna make up, or even talk again. It just means I didn’t want to object to the judge.” She hasn’t heard from Brown in a very long time. “We don’t have to talk ever again in my life,” she says. “I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally. What he did was a personal thing – it had nothing to do with his career. Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows – that definitely made it difficult for him.” Other highlights:

Say what you will about Rihanna‘s overt openness, she is a real woman. For her to have such a mature attitude toward the man that savagely beat her is just … amazing. It sounds like she has really come a long way from the abusive relationship she was in and I truly hope she is at peace with what happened to her. I fully support her decision to open up and share her experience at every chance she gets. It sounds like she is healing well … which is really great news to me. This young woman knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. It is that spirit of self-worth that will help her stay in control of her life. Enrique Iglesias Is Not Man Enough To Open For Britney Spears

Yesterday mere moments after it was officially announced that Britney Spears and Enrique Iglesias would be embarking on a co-headlining Summer concert tour together, Enrique surprisingly pulled out of the tour and quit altogether. At the time, no reason was given for Enrique‘s desire to quit. Today we learn from TMZ that his decision to quit basically came down to the fact that he wasn’t man enough to open for Britney Spears. Judging by his inability to handle the thought of opening for a woman, it’s clear that Enrique isn’t much of a man at all.

Enrique Iglesias dropped out of the upcoming Britney Spears concert tour because his ego couldn’t handle being her opening act … multiple sources connected with the tour tell TMZ. We’re told lawyers and agents for Britney and Enrique were hammering out an agreement for weeks, and the terms were finessed to make Enrique appear to be a co-headliner. We’re told both sides agreed to the deal and that’s why the announcement was made Tuesday. But just hours before Britney’s camp went public, Enrique was burning up the phone lines and the Internet, engaging various people connected with the tour in lengthy conversations in which he made it clear — he was, in reality, Britney’s opening act and he wanted out. One source says the deal was actually very favorable to Enrique … “great terms and great placement.” But we’re told it all came down to taking the stage before Brit — too much to handle.

LOL! What a sad, sad … little man. Despite assurances that he would be a headlining act on this tour — for which he would be handsomely paid — Enrique Iglesias just couldn’t handle the fact that he would perform before Britney Spears. Are you kidding me? Is the man so unsure of his ability as a male performer that he couldn’t handle opening for a woman? This is pretty sad, IMHO. I doubt Enrique would have the same problem if he were opening a co-headlining tour with a man. In the end, tho, this is all for the best. I, personally, didn’t want to have to sit thru an Enrique set just to see Britney. It’s better that he’s off the tour. I feel bad for Enrique, tho, that he just isn’t man enough to open concert performance for a woman.

First Look: MTV’s Version Of ‘Teen Wolf’

Last month we learned officially that MTV is bringing back the hit 90′s animated series Beavis & Butt-Head and we also learned that the network is reviving another franchise. Teen Wolf is being resurrected on MTV in a dark new series that is much different from the original 1985 film it is based on. Taking a cute from the popularity of werewolves brought on by The Twilight Saga film franchise, MTV is hoping to capitalize on the craze. Check out the official trailer for the new Teen Wolf below.


Clearly, MTV thinks a werewolf drama series (which looks a lot like The Vampire Diaries, actually) is the way to go with the Teen Wolf name. IMHO, because this new version bares no resemblance whatsoever to the original comedic film, I don’t get why they are using the same name. Why not call it something else entirely? To be honest, I don’t really watch MTV programming at all so I don’t know that there is anything in this new version of Teen Wolf that looks interesting to me. Prince Harry Embarks On His ‘Walking With The Wounded’ Trek

Last weekend we learned that Prince Harry is embarking on a trek to the North Pole this week with the Walking with the Wounded organization in an effort to raise funds and awareness for British military personnel injured in the line of duty. Today we get to see photos and video from day one of Prince Harry‘s trek North. At one point, Harry decided to go for an icy dip in the water … it’s video you have to see to believe.

Prince Harry grinned today as he learned he will experience temperatures as low as -40C when he joins a group of injured servicemen for the first five days of a trip to the North Pole. The 26-year-old royal attended a briefing in Longyearbyen, Norway, after he was greeted by the team from the Walking With The Wounded charity, and heard about the grueling training regime he will endure for the next three days. He is expected to play a full part in the final preparations for the expedition, including sleeping out on the ice and dragging a 100kg sled. On Friday the prince will fly out to the start point and will be with his teammates for the first five days of the grueling walk, which is expected to take around four weeks and will cover up to 200 miles. Asked if he was ready for the challenge, Harry said: ‘Not as ready as these guys are, but I’m just here to give them as much support as possible. I haven’t had as much time to train.’ ‘But today, to their huge amusement, they’re going to see me on a pair of, whatever they’re called, skis, this afternoon. So it should be entertaining for all of us.’ Accompanying them will be expedition leader Inge Solheim, guide Henry Cookson and charity founders Edward Parker and Simon Daglish. Mr Solheim said: ‘Harry’s training has been going very well – he has the right attitude. I’m sure Harry has healthy concerns about the dangers, as he should. You have no idea how different the Pole is from everything else on the planet. The old Norwegian explorers called it the Devil’s dancefloor. It is unpredictable. Deadly. ‘If you’re not paying attention, it will just slap you. You can walk ten miles in one day, pitch your tent overnight, and the ice will have drifted you back 11 miles in the opposite direction’ … Mr Solheim told the team: ‘It’s going to be around minus 25C today, so it’s quite mild and good, nothing like we’re going to get in the polar ocean. Hopefully out there we’ll get minus 35C to minus 40C with good stable high pressure.’ Harry winced as he heard the extreme temperatures.

Wincing or not, Prince Harry really seemed to get into the spirit of what they are trying to accomplish with Walking with the Wounded. Here is INSANE video of Harry taking an icy dip in the freezing cold weather:


Kudos to Harry for undertaking this extremely difficult trek … and for such a good cause. I don’t think I could be convinced to jump into freezing water like this for anything so … yeah, my hat’s off to Harry. Unfortch, the prince will not be able to make the full trek to the North Pole with his comrades … because he has to be back in London for the Royal Wedding next month. Still, it appears that Harry is going to give his all on this trek for as long as he can. Well done, Harry! Stay warm!

First Look: Adrianne Palicki In Action As Wonder Woman

A couple of weeks ago we got our first look at actress Adrianne Palicki in costume as the new Wonder Woman and by pretty much all accounts, the new costume was met with revulsion and extreme disappointment (tho, original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter had very nice things to say). A few days later, Palicki showed up on the Wonder Woman set in costume as Diana Prince but there was no sight of the new WW costume. Today we get to see the new Wonder Woman in action as Wonder Woman and I am ELATED to reveal that the costume has been changed … and looks 10,000 times better!! See the photos below.


You may recall that we got to see a photo HERE that was created by an industrious Wonder Woman fan that showed how cool the new costume would look if some of the colors were changed. This new version of the costume, featured above on the WW set, utilizes those color changes!!!


The image on the left is the fan version color manipulation, the image on the right is the newly updated official costume (which you can compare to the tacky, cheap-looking costume we were shown HERE). Very clearly the folks at Warner Bros. realized that the costume looks much better with this color scheme and they decided to change up the outfit. Ye gods, Wonder Woman DOES look really good in this costume. I don’t even mind the shiny red top …. the muted and dark blue pants and the red boots make all the difference in the world. Yes, I’m still concerned about the script … but it looks like the folks producing this show are paying attention to fan feedback. Here’s hoping they will continue to listen to fans and will give us a really great new Wonder Woman TV series.

Britney Spears KILLS On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

After taking a bit of heat from some fans yesterday about her performance on Good Morning America, Britney Spears made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and absolutely KILLED it! Not only did she put on two really hot performances (really) but she also appeared in a couple of comedic skits that reminded us all how much fun Britney is when she appears on TV. OH and in case you were wondering, Britney‘s just released new album Femme Fatale is sittin’ pretty in the #1 spot on the iTunes album chart right now :D

It wasn’t until the ep aired last night/early this morning that we truly got to see how fantastic Britney truly was. Here are videos of her JKL skits last night:



The tattoo bit was cute but OH MAN, her Poo Cocktail Supreme skit (which was supposed to be a deleted scene from Jackass 3D) was just brilliant. She was really fun in both of these skits.

Then came time for the live performances. Without question, last night’s performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live were the best ones she gave in the past few days. Watch these videos below and you will absolutely see that Britney Spears is truly back! First up, Till the World Ends:

I can’t even tell you how fun it has been to watch Britney do her various performances over the past few days. All she needs to do is to get back into the swing of performing and loosen up a a bit and she’ll be back to form. My girl has still got it and she’s gonna bring the heat. I am SO excited for her upcoming tour. This is the Britney Spears that world loves with all its heart. And to put icing on the cake of her album release day, Femme Fatale went straight to #1 yesterday on the iTunes album chart:


A new Britney Spears era has begun … I can’t WAIT to see what’s to come!!
