Watch: Filming The Final Scene Of ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 02:50 PM PDT

Last week we got to see behind the scenes video footage and a sneak preview of the upcoming final installment of the Harry Potter film franchise, Part 2 of The Deathly Hallows. Today we get to see special video footage newly released of the final scene of the final movie being filmed. The video may be a bit difficult for some of you diehard Harry Potter fans to watch but just imagine how difficult it was for the principal Harry Potter actors — Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Check out the video below.

It is still crazy to me to think that this summer’s final Harry Potter film will actually be THE final film … ever. Seeing the actors film their final scene together is just sad … yes … but I think it’ll be much sadder for we, the viewing audience, to see the events of Part 2 of The Deathly Hallows to play out on screen. I think I’m ready for the Harry Potter saga to be over but … I don’t think I really am. The end is coming … and I really don’t want it to.

Christina Aguilera Joins Twitter

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 01:18 PM PDT

Last week we learned that Christina Aguilera, one of the judges on the new NBC singing competition show The Voice, would be signing up for Twitter so that she can help promote her new show. Today we learn that Xtina has opened her official Twitter profile and is ready to share her tweets with the world.

Unfortunately, The Real Xtina has yet to tweet anything with her brand spanking new account. It remains to be seen if Xtina plans to use her Twitter account solely for the promotion of The Voice (which is likely) or if she will use it to communicate with fans in a more personal way. The world waits with baited breath for Xtina‘s first tweet. Are you excited?

The ‘Girl Talk’ Of The Town

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 01:04 PM PDT

Last night David and I made our way to the Hollywood Palladium to see the superstar DJ Girl Talk live in concert. I got turned on to Girl Talk last year when he released his album All Day free online and I was very curious to see what his live show would be like. Basically, it’s like a big party where all of your fave songs get played and mashed together. I wouldn’t say it was the best concert I’ve ever been to but it deffo was a fun time.

Essentially, the sold out audience at the Palladium paid to hear a DJ play songs all night long … which doesn’t sound all that interesting but the songs that were played and the way they were mashed up with other songs was, at the very least, inventive and fun. I was most impressed by the mash-up of Kelly Clarkson‘s Since U Been Gone on top of the throbbing guitar riff from the Nine Inch Nails song Wish. Every single person was dancing last night … and that is the sign of a great show. David is not a fan of concerts but he had fun so … yeah, I’m glad we went to the show.

Tonight is a night off for me, as I have concerts every other night all week long. I’m planning on seeing Duran Duran tomorrow night then Oh Land & OMD on Friday night and then Good Charlotte on Saturday night. We may see a movie tonight but … we may also just stay in to recuperate. Happy Tuesday!!

Charlie Sheen Surprises Jimmy Kimmel With A Kiss On Late Night TV

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 12:00 PM PDT

Charlie Sheen, obviously hungry for a shot of attention, made a surprise visit on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to interrupt the show so that he could high five some audience members, kiss Jimmy Kimmel and then leave. That was pretty much the extent of Sheen‘s late night appearance last night … but it was enough to get people talking today.

Charlie Sheen charged the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage Monday night and planted a smooch on the “moist lips” of the surprised late night host. The audience greeted Sheen with thunderous applause as he barreled in, and he rewarded their enthusiasm with high-fives, autographs and, later, novelty T-shirts sporting some of his most famous quips. Sheen, 45, also showed guest Mark Cuban – with whom he’s considering going into business – some serious affection, giving the billionaire a bear hug. But amid the applause, Sheen got down to business. “Silence,” he commanded the audience, “I have a show to write,” referring to his upcoming Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth concert tour. And, just like that, the actor was gone.

This is, apparently, the man that corporations love because not only is Fox hoping to get Sheen on their network but word has it that CBS is trying to woo him back as well. People, this is what constitutes entertainment here in the US? Ugh.

The Royal Wedding Of Prince William & Kate Gets A Graffiti Tribute

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 11:36 AM PDT

We are just about a month away (can you believe it?) from the Royal Wedding of Prince William of Wales and his longtime love Kate Middleton and things in the UK are reaching a fevered pitch of excitement. This week, a new piece of graffiti art went up on the streets of London and altho it appears NOT to be a Banksy, it is a similar tribute to the upcoming royal nuptials. Additionally, the carriage that Kate will ride in on her way from the altar as newly crowned royalty on her wedding day has been revealed. Check out the graffiti tribute and Kate‘s carriage below.

Altho this graffiti piece is trying to look like a Banksy, it does not appear to be a Banksy at all. Still, you gotta wonder … how long until Banksy pays his tribute to the upcoming Royal Wedding? Might he wait until closer to the wedding date to put up his tribute along the route of the Royal Wedding?

In addition to this new street art, a new special edition mobile phone is being introduced to try and capitalize on Royal Wedding memorabilia fever:

Ugh. Do people still use these kinds of candy bar phones? Blech.

In official Royal news, the carriage that will carry Kate Middleton from Westminster Abbey, where she will be married to Prince William, has been revealed:

The horse-drawn coach that will transport her from Westminster Abbey for her first ride as a princess is one fit for a queen – quite literally. The 109-year-old State Landau that has been set aside for Kate and Prince William is the one used mostly by Queen Elizabeth when she is entertaining visiting heads of state. And, being open-topped, the carriage (which was built for King Edward VII) will give well-wishers a great view of the happy couple as they are taken to Buckingham Palace for the first of their wedding day parties. Come rain or shine, the palace has a plan. If heavy rain fills the London skies April 29, the couple will instead get to ride in the famous glass Coach, which was used by Princess Diana on her wedding day 30 years ago. Both carriages were unveiled at Buckingham Palace Monday … After the ceremony, which will last about an hour, William and Kate’s landau will lead a procession of five coaches carrying the Maid of Honor (Kate’s sister, Pippa), Best Man Prince Harry and the young pages and bridesmaids. One coach will carry Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael, and Prince Charles and Camilla, and another will seat the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.

It’s all so exciting. Very soon — very soon — we will be talking about the Royal Wedding on the wedding DAY! I can’t wait. Wee!!

Trent Reznor Talks To ‘Rolling Stone’ About His Oscar, New Music & His Baby Son

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 11:18 AM PDT

Academy Award-winning composer Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails, How to Destroy Angels) is interviewed in the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine. In his brief chat with the mag, Reznor opens up about how it felt to win an Oscar, he talks about new music due out this year, he reveals what music he plays for his infant son and he talks about the possibility of live touring in the near future.

‘I hadn’t worn a tie in years,” says Trent Reznor, who rocked an elegant Prada tux when he accepted an Academy Award for Best Original Score. “It was fun to put the snarling-guy-sweating-on-a-mic on the shelf for a while.” Reznor stunned Nine Inch Nails fans in 2009 by announcing an indefinite hiatus for the band. Since then, with pal Atticus Ross, Reznor has kicked off an intense collaboration with director David Fincher — including the Oscar-winning score for The Social Network and music for the upcoming adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Last year, Reznor and Ross released an EP with their new band, How to Destroy Angels, which also includes Reznor’s wife, Mariqueen Maandig. (The couple had their first child, a son, last fall.) “Being in a band with my wife, I’m very aware of the multitude of ways that can go wrong,” says Reznor, 45, promising a new Angels LP this year. “We’re best friends and are interested in the same things, so it’s natural to make music together. Taking my personality out of the spotlight and working in a more supporting role is what’s exciting to me now.”

The main musical theme of Social Network is titled “Hand Covers Bruise.” Why?
I needed to come up with 18 names of songs in a day. I was faced with the task of “Let’s not name it ‘Mark Runs Across Campus’” [laughs]. When we were coming up with ideas of what the music would sound like, one of them happened to be called “Hand Covers Bruise,” and it seemed to fit perfectly with that theme.

Did you expect to win?
You think, “I’m probably not going to win, but if I do win, I’d better not sound like an idiot.” The anxiety builds. Then you realize you haven’t eaten in 12 hours. And the camera’s on you, maybe, at all times. “I need to pick my nose, but I can’t risk it.” Then you hear your name in slow motion. “OK, hug my wife. Don’t trip over the cord. Why am I taking steps two at a time? I’m going to slip, but I can’t stop. Oh, my God, there’s Nicole Kidman, she’s nine feet tall. Is the mic on?” It’s over in a millisecond, and you’re backstage with an Oscar in your hand.

This word gets thrown around a lot at the Oscars, but who do you consider a genius?
It’s so obvious, but the Beatles. When I was growing up, the people who liked the Beatles, I didn’t like, so I didn’t pay attention to them. Around The Downward Spiral, I really started digging White Album-era Beatles, and it expanded outward from there. They were so far ahead of the game, it’s just not fair. Also, Prince has been a huge influence, what he’s able to do on his own.

Exactly 20 years ago, you were preparing for the first Lollapalooza tour. What are your most powerful memories from the summer of ’91?
We got a video on MTV, we heard our song on the radio, and then I got a call saying, “Jane’s Addiction wants you to play this new festival.” At our first show, in Arizona, our set lasted one and a half songs. I remember seeing Living Colour’s pro road cases straight from Guitar Center and shiny spandex outfits, and I had a powder-blue cable that my dad gave me for Christmas when I was 15. It was 110 degrees in Arizona and a cable melted and our show was over. I just ran back to the bus. There were better shows after that.

What music do you play for your son?
Mainly just piano: Bach, Beethoven and Mozart, a little Chopin. And recordings of womb sounds and clothes dryers to help him sleep. He will probably love David Lynch films. Right now the nursery sounds like Eraserhead [laughs].

You tweeted recently that you were watching old NIN footage, and it made you miss touring. When will NIN be back on the road?
My reason for stopping touring with Nine Inch Nails is that I needed to force my own hand to make myself do something different. [NIN] is comfortable to me, familiar. I like those songs, I like singing those songs, I like the energy onstage, but it’s not as relevant to me as it was when I was 25. And there’s an unspoken pressure to keep touring — that’s the only way to make a living — but I look at David Bowie’s fearlessness in changing and reinventing himself. That takes courage. [The hiatus] won’t be forever. The urge to tour again, in some capacity, will break through in the next few years.

Woot!! Not only do we have new music to look forward to this year from Reznor and Atticus Ross (i.e. the soundtrack of the David Fincher version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as well as from Reznor‘s new band How to Destroy Angels (i.e. the band’s debut album) but we can also pretty much count on Reznor taking Nine Inch Nails back on the road … at some point. I’m so happy that all of Trent‘s success seems to have inspired him further … which means that WE will be the lucky recipients of his musical genius. This is a fantastic interview … I can’t wait to hear more from TR and his new music endeavors.

Bryan Adams Gets A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 10:29 AM PDT

Canadian singer/songwriter/photographer Bryan Adams was honored here in SoCal yesterday with his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At yesterday’s (sometimes rainy) Walk of Fame ceremony, Adams was presented with the 2,435th star … and he looked over the moon by the honor. Check out some photos and deets from the event below.

Grammy-winning Canadian singer Bryan Adams was honored with a star on Hollywood’s storied Walk of Fame on Monday — with a little help from fellow countryman and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. The pair braved an unseasonal Los Angeles downpour to celebrate the 51-year-old being granted the 2,435th star on the storied walkway of stars along Hollywood Boulevard. “I remember being in Hollywood at the age of 16 and marveling at the stars,” Adams, a diplomat’s son who has had number one hit records in more than 40 countries. “The idea of being part of it never entered my mind. It was too far-fetched. Today, I’m humbled at the induction of my name. It’s fantastic,” he added, sheltering from the rain. National Hockey League’s all-time scoring leader Gretzky said the weather, rather than Los Angeles’ usual sunshine, was appropriate. “This is typical. I’ve been to an outdoor concert of Bryan’s where it was pouring rain and watched him perform his magic,” he said, calling Adams “a very humble Canadian and adding: “I’m very proud to say he’s Canadian” … [Adams] hit the big time in 1983 with his third album “Cut Like a Knife,” while his other hits have included “Summer of ’69,” “Run to You,” and “Let’s Make It A Night to Remember.” The singer — who is currently on tour, including a concert in Los Angeles on April 9 — won a Grammy Award for “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You,” from the 1991 movie “Robin Hood — Prince of Thieves.”

I may not be the biggest Bryan Adams fan ever but I am a big fan of many of his songs, songs that make up part of the soundtrack to my childhood. I absolutely think that Adams is well-deserving of his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and am happy to celebrate his accomplishment. I love how happy Bryan looks in these photos … you can tell he is very honored by this tribute. Let’s send our love and congrats to him today.

David E. Kelley Admits Wonder Woman Is ‘Way Outside’ Of His Comfort Zone

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 09:48 AM PDT

Last week we got a shocking (and mostly disappointing) first look at Adrianne Palicki in costume as the new Wonder Woman and while we are still trying to get used to the cheap new look of the iconic DC Comics superhero, today we get to hear from WW writer David E. Kelley himself about his work on the show. In a new interview with New York magazine, Kelley admits that writing for the Wonder Woman character is “way outside [his] comfort zone” but that he decided to do it anyway. Let’s just hope that he manages to bring something new and interesting to the Wonder Woman character, and not just cheapen her for the sake of TV ratings.

David E. Kelley, the man behind the new "Wonder Woman" television series, has plenty to tell about getting involved with the project and how Adrianne Palicki was chosen for the lead role. For starters, he initially said “No” to the project. In an interview with New York Magazine, Kelley discussed how he ended up changing his mind and taking on "Wonder Woman.” "When I started thinking about all the complications and potential layers to this superhero, I just got more and more intrigued," Kelly said. "It was also something I was a little bit afraid of. That's good, too. Any writer should get out of his or her comfort zone, and this was way outside of mine." He eventually decided to write the script and decide what to do from there. DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Kelley himself all liked how the script came out, so "Wonder Woman" was a go. At that point, all they needed was an actress who would play Diana Prince. "She's got to be strong, smart, emotionally accessible — and, oh yeah, an Amazon!" Kelley said of the character. He thought it would be a challenge to find an actress, but was impressed with Palicki right away. "I just knew it. I had an instinctive feeling that this was her,” he said of Pailcki, who recently made her debut in the Wonder Woman costume. “So then she read [for the part]. And she was. And she is."

My concern is that Kelley, because he is out of his comfort zone, will revert to some female template characters that he created in the past to try and “update” the Wonder Woman character … but if he makes Diana Prince / Wonder Woman into a new version of Ally McBeal, I know I’m gonna be pissed off! From what I’m hearing about the pilot script, Kelley has made some great changes to Wonder Woman‘s bold personality … but I cannot be upset about those changes until I see them played out on the small screen. I’m just hoping against hope that the writing does NOT ruin decades of Wonder Woman‘s strength. I can’t even go into how much I am not loving the new costume right now … let’s just hope they end up tweaking the outfit a bit to make it look less trashy. I’m worried about what is being done to Wonder Woman but, again, I’ll reserve final judgment until we get to see the show in full.

Michael Lohan Busted On Domestic Violence Charges!

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 08:15 AM PDT

Michael Lohan, who seems to get arrested about as much as his daughter Lindsay Lohan does, was busted for the umpteenth time last night on allegations that he physically assaulted his ex-girlfriend Kate Major. The pair reportedly ran into one another last night and apparently, Lohan flew into a violent fit of rage which resulted in his alleged assault on her. Lohan turned himself in but had to be hospitalized afterward (as a diversionary tactic, I’m sure). He is expected to be booked and mug shot after he gets out of the hospital. But, yeah, Daddy Lohan got busted … again!

From TMZ: Michael went to his apartment last night — the one he shared with Kate. She hasn’t lived there for a while and she had dropped by to pick up some of her stuff. We’re told Michael became upset that Kate was packing up for good, and “went ballistic.” They started arguing, and Kate turned her back on him. She told cops, Michael then grabbed her and threw her across the room. Kate says she struck the bedpost with her left shoulder. Kate claims she threatened to call the cops, and then Michael allegedly took a towel and began choking her. She also claims Michael then threatened to cut himself with a razor blade and tell cops she did it — if she called police. Kate went to the Sheriff’s sub-station, where cops photographed what we’re told are “visible injuries” … Michael complained of chest pains after the incident and is currently in the hospital.

From RadarOnline: Michael Lohan was arrested in West Hollywood late Monday night, RadarOnline.com has learned, in connection with three felony charges of domestic violence: preventing the report of victimization, false imprisonment and inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant. According to the police report, Lohan, 50, was named as a suspect when his girlfriend (who authorities did not identify) walked into the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station to report an incident of domestic violence that took place in a nearby apartment. Lohan was picked up by authorities at around 9 pm PT while he was walking in the 8800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, according to Sgt. John Ratto … Lohan’s bail has been set at $200,000, police said … Lohan is currently in Southern California, filming the upcoming season of VH-1's Celebrity Rehab, where he hopes to overcome anger management issues under the watchful eye of Dr. Drew Pinsky. Just last week, Major and Lohan got into a squabble during a botched attempt to reconcile their friendship in a therapy session on the set of the show. Major told us during that encounter, Lohan punched a female acquaintance in the face. “I was very emotional, and I was very, very scared,” Major told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "The producer tried to get me into his car, along with Michael but I was very fearful, I would not be in the same car as him because of past physical abuse. I have been living out of fear for a year and a half,” Major said. “This man obviously isn’t in there for anger management, he is in there for a lot more issues and I refuse to put up with this anymore. I wish that he gets the help that he needs and I feel sorry that Dina was stuck with him for 18 years and my heart goes out to his children,” Major told us.

You may remember, folks, that Lohan has professed publicly that he is a changed man of God but even if half of this outrageous behavior is true then he nothing but a lousy psycho. I do not, FOR ONE SECOND, believe Lohan suffered “chest pains” and merely used the excuse to avoid getting his ass thrown in jail. I fully expect him to try and stay in the hospital for as long as he can. While this sort of news saddens me, it doesn’t surprise me in the least. It’s pretty clear where Lindsay Lohan gets her criminal behavior personality traits from. Ugh. This family is just so effed.

Chris Brown Explodes In A Violent Rage On The Set Of ‘Good Morning America’

Posted: 22 Mar 2011 07:36 AM PDT

Chris Brown, who was convicted of the brutal assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna a couple of years ago, made an appearance on Good Morning America this morning to promote the release of his new album and flew into a violent fit of rage in the studio after he was asked questions about his assault on Rihanna. On camera, Brown tried to hide his anger and deflect the questions but GMA host Robin Roberts was not interested in letting up on the questioning. As soon as the show went to commercial, Brown ran to his dressing room, smashed into and broke a window, ripped off his shirt and fled onto the streets of NYC shirtless and seething. So much for those anger management classes Brown was forced to take after his assault conviction. Check out photos and video from the incident below.

Chris Brown exploded in rage behind the scenes at “Good Morning America” this morning … smashing a window and storming out without a shirt … sources tell TMZ … and it was triggered by on-air questions about the Rihanna incident. ABC sources tell TMZ … Brown performed and was interviewed by Robin Roberts live from the Times Square studio when she began asking about the infamous incident. Brown tried to redirect the questions to focus on his album — but Roberts continued to ask about Brown’s legal issues stemming from the Rihanna incident. We’re told after the interview, Brown freaked out, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud, the people in hair and makeup became alarmed and called security. We’re told Brown was out of control, and one source present tells us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto 43rd and Broadway. ABC security tells TMZ … the window was shattered with a chair. We’re told by the time security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left the building, blowing off another performance he was supposed to do for the ABC website. And sources say … on his way out of the building, Brown confronted a segment producer, got in his face and stared him down. People from the show got in between Chris and the producer to diffuse the situation. Remember — Brown is on probation for the felony beating and he’s required to obey all laws.

UPDATE: Brown just tweeted, “I’m so over people bringing this past shit up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bullshit.”

Here is video of the on-air questioning that led to Chris Brown‘s violent outburst:

And now the world can see just how little prompting can send Chris Brown into a violent rage. THIS is the monster who unleashed a beating on Rihanna that left her almost unrecognizable. This is the king of behavior that Rihanna got to see up close and personal when he brutally beat her in his car. It is very clear to me that all of Brown‘s assurances that he “learned his lesson” from all of the anger management classes he was forced to attend as part of his punishment for his assault conviction was just lip-service bullshizz. It sounds like the man has not changed … he sounds just as violent as he ever was. It remains to be seen what, if any, consequences will come from this outburst considering he is still on probation for his crimes … but I think now we know that Chris Brown is capable of the same violence he unleashed on Rihanna … capable of unleashing that violent anger in an instant. Wow.
