TWITTERIFIC: Evelyn Lozada, Rihanna and Shaunie O'Neal Tweet About Filming First Night Of "Basketball Wives" Season 3

Posted: 29 Mar 2011 09:04 AM PDT

Reports flew the past few weeks that there was a chance Evelyn Lozada might be leaving "Basketball Wives" before the start of season 3.  But apparently things have changed as she and Shaunie O'Neal tweeted about filming recently.  No shocker there.  Get the deets on what they (and Rihanna) said inside...

Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Freeman posed together during the first night of filming "Basketball Wives" season 3.  The show's producer Shaunie O'Neal later tweeted:

"Taping all day for BBW season 3 2day w/my ladies @EvelynLozada and @iamjennifer. Hoping this season will be the best yet!”

And Evelyn later took to twitter to tweet a full pic of her white hot dress and pair of blue heels in an empty room she wore the first night of film.

And in case you didn't know, pop star Rihanna is a fan of the show too and she tweeted:

"BBall wives/Real Housewives of pretty much anything is genius! I can’t stop watching & I’ve seen all these episodes already”

and then Shaunie replied:

OMG! U watch us!! Thank u… I love me some Rihanna!”

So far....no tweets from Tami Roman, Royce Reed or Gloria Govan.  I guess the "Non-muthaf*ckin Factors" film on day three.

FOOLERY: Birdman & YMCMB Toss $50,000 At Strip Club In Queens

Posted: 29 Mar 2011 07:55 AM PDT

Another day, another strip club.  After Lil Wayne and the rest of Young Money made their I Am Music II tour stop at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island last night, Birdman and the crew hit up Club Perfections strip club in Queens.

The crew tossed around $50,000 with all the strippers hogging the one pole in front of the fellas throwing dough like a scene out of Player's Club.  NSFW pics and video of the foolery when you read on....

I can think of a few better things to do with $50K, but hey, it aint my mula.

Birdman, the barely legal Lil Twist, and the rest of the YMCMB--sans Lil Wayne--hit the strip club after last night's show.  And the usual foolery broke out.  Birdman and co. reportedly tossed $50,000 at the strippers while they "danced."

Is that a purse on stage?  Does the purse have to match the stipper's outfit for the night?  I'm sure it's to toss the money in and all but um, yeah....

These chicks were serious about this money.  I know as soon as that bell rang everybody screamed "there's money out there y'all!"

And if you ever wondered what this type of scene looks like live:

Keep it classy y'all.

Keep dem dollars comin....And das gonna make me dance....

Above, Traci, Evelyn, Trina, Toni, Tamar and Towanda Braxton all posed together for a family photo.

While munching on honey ginger chicken and cocktails, Grammy-winning superstar Toni Braxton, her sisters Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar dished about their new show.

Toni said, “A lot of things will be revealed on the show that will explain some of the situations I’ve been in over the last couple years.  But you gotta watch and see.”

They're a fab looking bunch.

Toni posed with the woman who made it all possible....her mama Evelyn Braxton.

Will you be watching the Braxton girls?

And over at Madison Square Garden...

YBF celebs were at the NY Knicks vs. Orlando Magic game last night.

Ciara was front row rocking cute jeans and sneakers and a dressed down look for the NY Knicks win.

And she seemed really friendly with the fans.

Funnyman Tracy Morgan was also front row with his Knick colored sneakers...and his new girlfriend. WOW.

And Fat Joe enjoyed the Knicks dancers.  Of course.

Maybe another Knick dancer walked by....

MATHEW KNOWLES ON SPLIT FROM BEYONCE: Business Is Business & Family Is Family

Posted: 29 Mar 2011 06:45 AM PDT

Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles has spoken up about yesterday's announcement that he and Music World Entertainment have parted ways from Beyonce.

Mathew speaks on the "mutual" decision when you read on....

He's been her manager for almost two decades, but it looks like the Knowles camp is ready for a change up.  Yesterday's semi-shocking announcementcame from Beyonce and her publicist that the uber successful father-daughter duo will end their manager relationship.

Now Papa Knowles gives his side, saying business and family are separate.  And, while he will continue his projects with Destiny's Child and his gospel acts, he's proud of all the great things he and his daughter have accomplished.    His statement in full:

The decision for Beyoncé and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual. We did great things together, and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment. Currently, I am very focused on the tremendous investment that our record label has made in the gospel/inspirational genre of music and on our supremely talented roster of artists, including Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Juanita Bynum, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Rudy and others.

Music World will continue its partnership with Sony with Destiny’s Child and UK female group From Above, as well as management. We will also continue to develop the Music World family of labels: Music World Country/Compadre, Music World Kids and Music World Music. In Music World’s repositioning it will not continue its label/management role with Columbia/Sony artist Tiffany Evans.

Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success.

Bey's upcoming album run will be an interesting one...

COUPLEDOM: Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa Bowl It Up

Posted: 29 Mar 2011 06:15 AM PDT

Well isn't this just....special.  Amber Rose and her boosky rapper Wiz Khalifa hit up the bowling alley at Chelsea Piers in New York last night for Wiz's "Roll One" bowling party.

Balls and blunts...the couple's fave combo.  Pics when you read on...

Wiz Khalifa is celebrating his new album Rolling Papers--which drops today--with rolls of another kind.  He brought his arm candy and girlfriend Amber Rose along to Chelsea Piers to bowl it up with his fans last night.

The twosome semed more into each other than anything else though.  Oh...Amber's shiny leggings actually came in handy this time.  She looks like she was prepared for her bowl fest.

They showed off their bowling skills.

And other things.

Fun times all around...I'm sure.

Foxy Brown Kicked Off Cruise Over Manicure? + "DWTS" Host Hesitant About Chris Brown + Update On Angie Stone's Holy Arrest

Posted: 29 Mar 2011 05:08 AM PDT

So now we know why Foxy Brown was kicked off Tom Joyner's cruise ship...and its a story we've heard before.  Get the deets on Foxy inside plus the host of "DWTS" says he is hesitant about Chris Brown and Angie Stone says she was on the way to church during her arrest...

Perhaps Foxy Brown should hire a personal nail technician to travel with her.  Believe it or not, Foxy's outburst on Tom Joyner's cruise ship was over a missed nail appointment.

Sources tell TMZ that Foxy set up a nail appointment on Monday but showed up three hours late.  When she finally arrived and the salon couldn't accomodate her, she was not happy.  In fact, she went H.A.M.

Security removed her and she was sent to her room until Wednesday when she was escorted to a plane once the ship docked.

This makes incident number three involving Foxy's nails.  In 2004, she faced assault charges for allegedly fighting two nail salon employees and in 2007 she fought another beauty store employee (but that was mainly over weave glue). SMH.

And tonight on DWTS....

Tension will be in the air as DWTS host Tom Bergeron has said he is hesitant about interviewing Chris Brown after his outburst.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest he said,

“I did tell the producers it may be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something.  So don’t put me in a position where you are asking me to not say something, because I really won’t do that.”

Hmmm.....I can't wait to watch tonight to see their body language towards each other.

And about that Angie Stone arrest....

Angie says the cops cut in on her praise time as she was on her way to worship when she got pulled over.

Angie's rep told TMZ she had no idea there was a warrant out for her arrest and she has since paid for the ticket that stopped her from getting her praise on.  Oh Angie...

SPLITSVILLE! Beyonce & Manager Dad Mathew Knowles OFFICIALLY Part Ways!

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 05:45 PM PDT

MAJOR shakeup in the Knowles camp!  After rumors of a strained relationship have floated heavily for some time now, Beyonce Knowles has just officially parted ways with her long-time (and only) manager--her pappy Mathew Knowles.

Details on the father-daughter business split when you read on...

They've had arguably the most successful popstar run where parent-child manager-celebrity relationships are concerned.  Beyonce has become one of the biggest pop divas in the world, and it's well known that her father, Mathew Knowles, is the major reason for her success.

But after a business relationship spanning almost two decades, Beyonce has officially split from her manager dad.

In a statement through her long-time publicist Yvette Noel-Schure, Mrs. Knowles-Carter told The Associated Press Monday that she and her father have parted ways "on a business level."

Beyonce says in the statement that she is grateful for the role her father has had in her career.  And she adds that "he is my father for life and I love my dad dearly."

Mathew--who currently manages acts like Tiffany Evans and Sunshine Anderson--has managed Beyonce from day one, and was the vision and business mind behind Destiny's Child and the record breaking star's expanding solo career.  It'll be interesting to say the least to see how this next album and next publicity run goes off without him.

It's also been rumored that the two, who used to be extremely close, have had a strained relationship for years--and it became worse after Jay-Z married into the family, and after last year's scandal of Mathew fathering another baby outside his marriage to Tina Knowles.  Not everybody's going to love having a secret half-brother all up in the mix.

Insiders tell us there's more truth to those rumors than the public wants to believe.  Especially because there's a good chance Bey will now be (possibly secretly) managed by her husband's Roc Nation Management Group.

This ought to get interesting....

MAGAZINE FAB: Lil' Wayne Interviewed By Paris Hilton For INTERVIEW Magazine

Posted: 28 Mar 2011 03:58 PM PDT

Andy Warhol's INTERVIEW Magazine is known for pairing vastly different personalities for interview sessions and they have outdone themselves this time.  Paris Hilton sits down with Lil' Wayne and gets under the surface with the rap superstar like only she can.  See the highlights of the interview inside...

So what do a semi-blue blood socialite and a New Orleans rapper from the projects have in common?  Answer....jail.  And jail is just one of the topics that came up when socialite and businesswoman Paris Hilton sat down with one of the biggest names in hip hop music.

In their interview they discussed jail time, the perils of fame, photographers, and their new albums.  At different points during the interview, INTERVIEW contributing music editor Dimitri Ehrlich keeps the conversation moving.

See highlights of their interview here:

HILTON: And now you’re being called the new king of hip-hop. What do you think of that? Is it something that’s hard to live up to? Or is it exciting to have people say that?
WAYNE: It’s very exciting. I love pressure, so I guess if that brings forth pressure, then I’m up for it. But, you know, titles are titles, and names are names. As long as people remember me forever, that will be enough for me.

HILTON: What’s the most bizarre thing that you’ve ever read about yourself?
WAYNE: The most bizarre thing I’ve ever read about myself is that I was dead. That was kind of weird to read that I’m dead— mostly because I was reading it. [both laugh]
HILTON: I read that about myself once, too. It’s pretty bizarre.

Lil' Wayne on his experience with the paparazzi in Miami:
"The only time I ever really witnessed some crazy paparazzi was during my court experiences. Every time I rode up to court, as soon as I jumped out of the truck, they were there to snap, and all in our way to where we couldn’t walk. It’s nowhere near like that around here. But maybe I’m just not that caliber of person that they want to take pictures of me like that."

Lil' Wayne on discovering Drake and the one thing he has taught him from his own experiences:
"When I first heard Drake, I already knew that he had potential beyond my imagination, because the kid was singing and rapping—and he was rapping real well…So that’s when I already knew that he was gonna blow up, right there. He would’ve done it—with me or not—I just wanted to make sure it was with me. And the main thing I’ve told him, or taught him, for lack of better words, is just to stay humble and remember who you are throughout it all, because there’s gonna be moments in every single day when you’ll have to go back to that person and reflect on that person. You have to self-reflect. If you forget who you actually are, then what’s the use of even looking in the mirror."

Lil' Wayne on his lyrics:
"I don’t hold nothing back. I do exactly what I want to do, and say exactly what I want to say. Sometimes I consider the fact that I have a daughter, but I also think about the realities of the world…I mean, once I get through that hump, then, like I said, I just say what’s on my mind."

Lil' Wayne on why his music is the way it is:
"Music is a reflection of who you are, and if those things that you mentioned are what your music is all about, then I guess that’s who you are…I speak about what I speak about, and I guess that’s because I’m a crazy- ass nigga…You have Jay-Z, and he speaks about more corporate things, and I’m quite sure he’s a pretty corporate guy."

Lil' Wayne and Paris Hilton on solitary confinement:
WAYNE: For me it was okay, because it just meant that I was alone with my thoughts.
HILTON: I had to do 24 nights in solitary. [Hilton was held in a separate cell as a safety precaution.]
WAYNE: Oh, so you know how it is.
HILTON: Yeah, I know how it is.

HILTON: How happy are you to have your freedom now?
WAYNE: Words cannot explain.
HILTON: Yeah, I know how you feel. [laughs] It’s the best feeling in the world when you come out.

Lil' Wayne on if he is satisfied with his career:
"I’m nowhere near satisfied and I’m always hungry for more. I’m a very creative person, and the best part about creation is creating. So I always love to come up with new things, new ideas, new thoughts."

HILTON: Do you believe in horoscopes?
WAYNE: I’ve read horoscopes before and what they say about Libras. But I would actually love to not be what somebody writes down—I don’t want to be described.

HILTON: Do you have any pets?
WAYNE: I like animals, but I only have a few pets. I have a bunch of fish, and I have two sharks. Those are my dudes.
HILTON: Wow. Sharks? Nice.
EHRLICH: How big are the sharks?
WAYNE: One is a little baby, so he’s about a foot or two, or something like that. Then the other one is a good two, two and a half feet, or almost three feet. EHRLICH: So do you have a huge pool for them? Or do they stay in a tank?
WAYNE: They live in a crib…It’s like a little pond under the stairwell in my house. So they swim under there.
HILTON: That’s dope.

Paris on what goals she wishes to accomplish by the end of the year:
"I’d really love to finish my album, because I’ve been working on it for so long…I’d also love to just continue doing my businesses, and be more confrontational with people…"

Lil' Wayne on what goals he wishes to accomplish by the end of the year:
"I want to bank a cool $50 million at least. At the end of this year, I want to be able to say that I banked $50 million. Not generated $50 million, but actually banked $50 million."

WAYNE: I wanna ask you something, Paris. When are you dropping your album?
HILTON: When am I dropping the album?
WAYNE: Yeah. Do you know?
HILTON: Hopefully soon. I’ve been working on it for so long—since my last album [Paris, 2006, Warner Bros.]. So I want to release it by this summer, because I have a lot of summer bangers. I want to just have it out, because that’s when people love to party.
WAYNE: That’s cool.
HILTON: If I had you on a song too, that would be hot.
WAYNE: That was gonna be my next question. I was gonna ask you, how are you gonna release an album and don’t get me on it?
HILTON: Well, if you would be on the album, then I would be honored. That would be the sickest thing. We should get each other’s phone numbers so we can call each other after the interview or text or something.
WAYNE: Cool. Sounds good.
HILTON: My number is 310-XXX-XXXX.
WAYNE: Okay. I’ll text you my number.

HILTON: …I have a recording studio that I built in my house—and a nightclub too.
EHRLICH: You have a nightclub in your house?
HILTON: I built one, yeah, because I don’t really like to go out as much as I used to, so I just built a club at my house with the studio attached to it.
WAYNE: You’re so fuckin’ rich.
EHRLICH: Do you have a disco ball in there?
HILTON: No, it’s really elegant. Although it has a stripper pole, so maybe it’s not that elegant.
