Watch: The Cast Of ‘Jackass’ Release A Tribute Video For Ryan Dunn

Earlier this week we read the touching and very heartfelt eulogy written by Jackass star Johnny Knoxville in honor of his late friend Ryan Dunn, who was tragically killed in a drunk driving accident last week, and today we get to see a tribute memorial video in honor of Ryan. The folks at Dickhouse productions (ie. the Jackass guys) put together a video of some of Ryan Dunn‘s moments on Jackass and decided to share the video with the public. This video tribute to Ryan Dunn was featured at the memorial gathering that took place at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles on the night of Wednesday, June 29. The second part of this montage cut together by Rick Kosick includes a specially done song for Ryan by Roger Alan Wade, “The Light Outlives the Star”. “Ryan was really crazy about my cousin Roger,” said Johnny Knoxville, “He loved his music and really looked up to him. Rog’ was equally as crazy about Ryan and, like everyone else, was shook by his passing.”

Rest in peace, brother. We love you.

This is a great video, full of great and very funny memories. It’s a damn shame that Ryan‘s life was cut so short … but it looks like he had a blast with the life that he lived. May he rest well. He will be missed.

‘Thor 2′ Gets A Release Date

Great news Marvel Comics movie fans … it has been announced that Thor 2 will hit movie theaters in July of 2013. Timed with the release of Iron Man 3, one year after the release of The Avengers in 2012, the second Thor film will be released on July 26, 2013. Excited? Click below for all the deets.

Marvel Studios, which is in production on the Joss Whedon-directed The Avengers, is making a full commitment to Thor 2, with Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as the title hero. Marvel will need to hire a director for that film because, I’ve learned, Kenneth Branagh won’t be returning as helmer. Branagh, who directed the first film and watched it gross $437 million worldwide with a few territories still playing out, will likely be involved in some producing capacity. His exit was “mutual and amicable,” I’m told. That means a big job is out there that a lot of directors and their agents will be chasing over the upcoming holiday … Disney has set a July 26, 2013 release date for Thor 2.

I LOVED Thor so I’m excited by this sequel news. But I am concerned because a huge part of why I loved Thor was because Kenneth Branaugh did a great job directing. As long as he remains involved in some way, I think Thor 2 will be alright. 2013 seems like a lifetime away but … just you watch … we’ll be talking about the release of Thor 2 sooner than you may think.

Watch: Christian Bale & Anne Hathaway Film Scenes For ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’

Batman: The Dark Knight Rises is currently in filming production in the UK and today we get to see some minorly spoilery spy video footage from the set. An intrepid Batman fan managed to video record footage of the film’s Wayne Manor that appears to show stars Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne) holding hands with Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle). At this point, it is not known exactly what kind of relationship Bruce and Selina will have in the film but it’s clearly a friendly one … at least, in this scene. A new video highlighting the production of “The Dark Knight Rises” in Wollaton Hall has found its way onto the web. The fresh snippet offers a sneak-peek where Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne, and Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle are holding hands in the rain, with a yellow cab waiting nearby.

Really, this video shows us nothing … and, to be honest, I’m not entirely convinced that this video actually shows Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway … but, it’s very cool nonetheless. I am really REALLY dying to see Anne in costume as Catwoman … but this video is a nice tease for the film. Here’s hoping more spy footage makes its way to the Internets … and soon.

Aaron Carter Now DENIES That Michael Jackson Gave Him Drugs & Alcohol

Yesterday OK! magazine sent the Interwebs afire with a news story that claimed that troubled popstar Aaron Carter confessed to them in a new interview that the late Michael Jackson gave him alcohol and drugs. Today, Carter‘s publicist is issuing staunch denials that Carter said any such thing. Carter is now flatly denying that he made any claims about drugs and alcohol where MJ is concerned … and he insists that OK! magazine completely made up the whole story.

Aaron Carter’s rep claims the singer NEVER told an entertainment reporter Michael Jackson gave him cocaine and alcohol when he was 15 years old … and says the reporter COMPLETELY FABRICATED the story. The controversy stems from an article that ran in OK! Magazine in Australia, written by international journalist Daphne Barak. In the article, Carter was quoted as saying, “Yes, [MJ] gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15. As for drugs? He gave me cocaine.” But Carter’s rep tells TMZ, “Nothing was said that was reported” … and directed us toward a YouTube video of the interview with Barak … which seems to back up Aaron’s side of the story. We’ve reached out to Barak for comment — so far, no response.

HMMM … all of this mess is really troubling. If OK! magazine really did fabricate the whole story then they are absolutely at fault for this controversy. It is possible that Carter is backtracking from comments he made to the magazine and is denying the whole interview in order to save face. It’s impossible to know who is telling the truth here but Carter‘s camp vehemently denies that he made these allegations to OK! magazine. I’m very curious to hear what the reporter, Daphne Barak, has to say about Aaron‘s denials. For now, I’m willing to take Aaron Carter at his word that he did not make these comments … but who knows? What do y’all think of all of this? Who do YOU believe?

Kate Moss & Jamie Hince Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for supermodel Kate Moss and her rocker fianceé Jamie Hince because just hours ago the couple were married in Cotswold, England. Moss and Hince have been coupled up since 2007 (shortly after Kate broke up with troubled singer Pete Doherty) and got themselves engaged to be wed back in February. Clearly the couple were not looking for a long engagement because 5 months later, they are now husband and wife!

Kate Moss has had plenty of practice walking down runways – but when it comes to walking down the aisle, the supermodel had her first experience on Friday. Moss, 37, tied the knot with fiancé Jamie Hince near her Cotswold, England, home. Police monitored roads surrounding the model’s home, which was barricaded for the festivities. Celebrations will continue there over the weekend, for a days-long party dubbed by the media as “Mosstock.” Following a ceremony at St. Peter’s Church in Southrop, the bride and groom posed for pictures with her 12 bridesmaids, including her daughter Lila Grace, 8. The bride wore a cream, vintage-style dress with rhinestone detail, reportedly by John Galliano, while the groom donned a light blue Yves Saint Laurent suit, striped shirt and patterned tie. The couple’s mutual friend Sadie Frost first introduced Moss to The Kills rocker backstage at his concert in 2007. They were engaged in Feb. 2011.

In all honesty, I thought Jamie was going to be nothing more than rebound for Kate because of how quickly they coupled up after Kate and Pete Doherty broke up. I’m happy to see that their relationship turned out to be the real deal. I never liked Pete for Kate, particularly because of his embarrassingly sad and very public problems with drug addiction. It looks like Kate finally found her Prince Charming … and I wish them nothing but the best for a long a very happy life together. Let’s send all of our love and congrats to the newlywedded Mr. and Mrs. today :D

Fiddling Around Town

Late yesterday afternoon, David and I met up with our dear friend Gillian and a group of new friends at the Cat and Fiddle Pub in Hollywood to hang out, share stories and break bread together. Altho it was a pretty hot day, we managed to enjoy the beautiful SoCal weather in the cool shade.The rest of the day was pretty low key … so it was basically the perfect lazy Summer day.


The Cat & Fiddle Pub is one of the first places I visited on my first visit to LA all those years ago and I always forget what a great place it is. The atmosphere is so relaxed. Unfortch the location isn’t the best which means that parking is a nightmare but I was reminded yesterday how much I love that place :)

As I mentioned, the rest of the day was pretty quiet … David and I just hung out at home. I love how you can literally feel things slowing down as we settle into Summer. This weekend, especially, will be a lazy one … the 4th of July holiday weekend should be a fun, quiet 4 days. I hope all y’all have a fun weekend! Enjoy it!! Happy Friday!

Prince William & Kate Middleton Begin Their Canadian Adventure

Yesterday afternoon Prince William and Kate Middleton, the newlywedded Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, made their arrival on North American soil to begin their much ballyhooed visit to Canada and the US. Upon arrival yesterday, Wills and Kate got down to official business and they each managed to charm the pants off the Canadian people. Today is the couple’s first full day in Canada and they’ve already got their day started right with more official work. Prince William and Kate joined in Canada Day celebrations on Friday, distributing flags to 25 new citizens, as they continue a nine-day jaunt through Canada on their first official overseas trip. The country’s birthday celebration will include a concert and a speech by the prince. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as they are officially known, emerged from their motorcade Friday at the Canadian Museum of Civilization to raucous cheering from hundreds of spectators. The cheers drowned out a handful of protesters who oppose requiring Canadian citizens to pledge allegiance to the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II — William’s grandmother — remains Canada’s head of state. At the museum, the couple watched at 25 people from 14 countries became Canadian citizens. They then handed out flags to the newly minted Canadians and then participated in a reception for the new citizens and their families. Kate was wearing the Canadian colors, a cream dress by Reiss, with a red hat and the Queen’s Maple Leaf brooch. Friday also would have been the 50th birthday of William’s mother, Princess Diana, who died in a 1997 Paris car crash. In London, her admirers gathered to leave gifts outside Kensington Palace, which was her official residence. William and Kate arrived in Canada on Thursday to cheering crowds of thousands. Poised and confident, they thrilled crowds with warm, unscripted gestures, wading into throngs of well-wishers to shake hands and accept flowers and other gifts. To cheers of delight, William addressed his hosts in both English and French, then cracked a joke about his language skills. “It will improve as we go on,” the prince quipped, then noted how much he and Kate were “truly looking forward to this adventure.” “They are beautiful together, like a fairy tale,” gushed 15-year-old Daphnee Dubouchet-Olshesh, who was in the crowd with her mother. “He just sounded so cute and adorable with his English accent. He did pretty good with his French.” The royal pair then headed straight to the National War Memorial, where they were met by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife, Laureen. Each laid a wreath before stepping into the crowd to speak individually with veterans. Stunning in tan stilettos and a figure-hugging navy scoop-backed dress with a lace overlay by Canadian designer Erdem Moralioglu, Kate was greeted with cheers of “We want Kate!” at every stop. William wore a blue suit with burgundy tie.


Overwhelmingly the royals have been met with welcoming love but there are those out there who are not happy with the royal establishment and are shunning or protesting the couple’s visit. That being said, it sounds like Wills and Kate‘s first visit together to Canada is off to a fantastic start. The couple still have about a week of festivities and events to attend in Canada before they arrive in the US next week. I’m thinking they are going to be very bizzy. Still, I’m sure the kind Canadian people will make them feel very welcome throughout their visit. Happy Canada Day, y’all!

First Look: Mos Def On ‘Dexter’

Last month we learned that singer/actor Mos Def (neé Dante Terrell Smith) has been cast to appear in the upcoming 6th season of Dexter on Showtime and today we get our first look at Def on the show. Entertainment Weekly magazine, which yesterday gave us our first look at the first crime scene on the new season of the show, brings us our first look at Mos Def in character as Brother Sam alongside star Michael C. Hall in a new Dexter promo photo. Click below to check it out.

When the Showtime series returns this fall for a sixth season, there will be plenty of fresh blood, including Edward James Olmos, Colin Hanks, and Mos Def (right, with Michael C. Hall). The rapper-actor plays Brother Sam, a reformed criminal who runs an auto-body shop. He crosses paths with our resident serial killer when one of his employees comes under investigation. Says executive producer Scott Buck, ”Dexter is 
 unconvinced that Brother Sam is a man who found God and changed his violent ways.”

Uh oh … Dexter‘s got that look in his eye … Brother Sam better watch out! As you may recall, in addition to Mos Def joining the cast of the show we also learned that Edward James Olmos and Colin Hanks will also appear on the upcoming 6th season of Dexter. I’m guessing we will be seeing a LOT of promo as the Summer unfolds … and I cannot wait!

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Hospitalized, Released After A Reported Suicide Attempt

Back in February of 2009, we learned that troubled actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers checked himself into rehab for the 3rd time in his young career and then about a year later, he was in rehab again. Since that time, JRM has stayed relatively out of the public eye … but reports claim that he still struggled with substance abuse and depression. This week, paramedics were called to JRM‘s London home and has discovered slumped onto the floor in an apparent drug overdose. It was presumed by the emergency personnel on scene that he had attempted suicide … as a result, JRM was rushed to the hospital.

Former “Tudors” star Jonathan Rhys Meyers was hospitalized in London this week, Access Hollywood has confirmed. The 33-year-old actor, who has spent time in rehab in the past for alcohol addiction, was reportedly found “slumped on the floor” when paramedics responded to an emergency call from the actor’s home on Tuesday, the UK’s The Sun reported. Once paramedics arrived, Rhys Meyers reportedly “refused treatment at the scene for more than 30 minutes,” at which point police were called, the paper claimed. He was eventually taken to a London hospital near his home on Tuesday night and discharged early Wednesday, according to reports. While some reports claimed it was an alleged suicide attempt by the actor, a source has told Access Hollywood that was not the case. “He did relapse and was hospitalized briefly for that, but was released,” the source told Access on Thursday, adding, “It was not a suicide attempt.” A rep for the actor had no comment when contacted by Access .

It’s clear that JRM has been battling his demons for years now and this is only the latest incident in a long line of sad incidents. While I don’t personally believe that JRM was actually trying to kill himself, it seems clear to me that at least on some subconscious level, Meyers is just trying to dull or kill his pain. It seems evident to me that a person who would ingest so many pills at once isn’t merely looking for a good time. We’ve been hearing about JRM‘s troubles for a long time now … which is really sad. It sounds like he’s been trying to get his life in order but that rehab is not really working for him. He was lucky this time, I think. I just hope his luck doesn’t run out before it’s too late. Poor guy.
