| CENTRAL PARK TAKEOVER! Beyonce Rocks The "GMA" Summer Concert Series Stage Posted: 01 Jul 2011 07:53 AM PDT Beyonce literally took over Central Park this morning at Rumsey Playfield in Manhattan. Crazy numbers of people headed to watch King B work it out for the "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series stage. And security had to close off the park hours before she even went on.
But we've got the pics and vid from her performance this morning in case you missed it.... Bey took the black and white geometric stage in a bright yellow fringed costume for a high energy fun performance for her fans. Her set for this morning included "Run The World," "1+1," "Best Thing I Never Had," & "Single Ladies." Check the pics and video: Gorge. She also switched into a hot black version of the costume to perform "End of Time" which didn't end up on tv:

Lenny Kravitz was spotted out walking the streets of NYC recently. The sexy singer is dropping an album called Black And White America on August 30. And also in NYC..... Lenny's daughter Zoe Kravitz is also in town and the photogs caught her looking like the spitting image of her mom, Lisa Bonet.
I love her style. She can make just about any fashion statement she wants and make it work.
And over in New York's East Villiage....
Willow Smith was spotted shopping for hipster wear in her knee-high sneakers.
Willow's dad Will is currenty shopping for someone to write a new Annie screenplay which she will star in.
Meanwhile, on the west coast.....
"Franklin & Bash" star Garcelle Beauvais was spotted leaving BOA Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, CA. She looked casual chic in her white blazer and a pair of red heels. And though she was spotted dining with Sean Penn a few days ago, the actress is keeping mum about their "friendship." Sean gets around witht he YBF chicks doesn't he....
Over in London..... RocNation's new artist Alexis Jordan was spotted leaving her performance at The Scala. She's also appearing at the Flamingo on Saturday as part of American Independence Week in London. Looks like she's stacking her international fans these days... | FAB LIVING: Jill Scott Celebrates Dropping 63 Pounds! Posted: 01 Jul 2011 03:55 AM PDT  In the latest issue of Us Weeky on stands now, Jill Scott opens up about her weight loss and the lifestyle regime she uses to keep shedding the pounds. Get the deets inside..... Jill Scott, whose The Light Of The Sun album just debuted at #1 on Billboard, has gone through a noticable physical change and she opened up about it to Us Weekly. The 39-year-old star said she has lost 63lbs the last 2 years and adopted a healthier lifestye. So what lifestyle changes did she make to look so refreshed and fabulous these days? For starters, she eats three low fat meals a day and does three 60 minute cardio and strength training sessions, three times a week, with trainer Scott Parker . Her weight loss journey was spurred on by the birth of her son Jett in 2009. 'There's a world of discovery in his eyes, and I want to be around to enjoy it,' she said. And she knew she had to make a change in her life when, "I'd walk up nine steps and be out of breath!" And although she's down to 200lbs and plans to lose more weight, she said, "I'll never be a stick figure." When asked how baby boy Jett fits into her routine, she said she loves to take him along for biking outdoors. "We have fun!" By the way, Jilly is currently in New Orleans headling the Essence Fest tomorrow night. Congrats Jilly!

| CONCERT FAB: Keyshia Cole, Marsha Ambrosius, & Alicia Keys Hit The Stage At The Beacon & New Jersey Posted: 30 Jun 2011 09:58 PM PDT YBF folks took the stage in NYC and NJ Thursday night to put on for their fans. We've got pics of Alicia Keys' big Beacon Theater one-night performance, plus Keyshia, Marsha and the R on the Love Letters tour, when you read on... Keyshia Cole hit the stage in Newark, NJ last night as the Love Letters tour rolled into the Prudential Center. She rocked her black leather pants and jacket stage look with bright neon yellow boots and two toned light brown and black hair: Her hair is baffling me like no other. Headliner R. Kelly worked the stage in his usual look: It's entirely too damn hot on a stage for this heavy wool peacoat. But do you R. And one of our fave YBF chicks Marsha Ambrosius also took the stage to perform: Cute cheetah jumper and curls.
And over in the City, Alicia Keys rocked out with her fans at the Beacon Theater to continue her Songs in A Minor Deluxe Edition release celebration: She recorded her performance for AOL Music Sessions Live. And it was packed for her "Piano & I" performance: She's sparkling from head to toe I see. Nice. The performance was streamed live on Vevo and AOL. And she didn't leave the stage till after 1AM. Nice.  |
| FULL VIDEO: Beyonce's "Year Of 4" Mini-Documentary Posted: 30 Jun 2011 05:40 PM PDT Beyonce's giving us a refreshing peek into her journey of creating her love-it-or-hate-it album 4. She was ready to get back to the fun of it all. And she shows us what inspired her to do so in tonight's MTV/BET mini-documentary called "Year of 4." Mama Tina encouraged her to not let life pass her by. So after being exhausted after the last world tour and constant video and photoshoots and interviews and travel, Bey says she decided to take a year to herself just to do fun things she's always wanted to do. Like travel and spend time with family and friends. She spoke on leaving her only manager she's ever had--her father. And she revealed why saying, "a real change meant separating from him." She's managing her team of "people" and paid for her own studio time herself instead of going through her label. So the type of music she released is a result of her being free just to have fun. There's a clip of her working on the "Girls" choreography with Frank Gatson and the African dancers Tofu Tofu. There's also a clip of her doing her album cover photoshoots in her and Jay's penthouse suite in Paris. And we get an inside peek into how she tapped her hubby Jay, her cousin Angie, and her close friends to help her choose the 10-12 songs for the album. | PICS & VID: Beyonce Surprises Kids & Signs Autographs At Harlem Target Posted: 30 Jun 2011 04:38 PM PDT Word got out today that Beyoncé was making an appearance at the Target store in Harlem to sign autographs and some type of performance would take place. Ends up that Bey indeed swung by the store and signed autographs today. And even surprised the local Boys & Girls Club kiddies!
Pics and vid when you read on... Beyonce's long-time choreographer Frank Gaston had his dance class of kids from the Boys & Girls Club perform what they had previously learned alongside Beyonce's dancers. Then the "Girls" singer herself surprised the kiddies on stage: SWEET! Here's video: Target is where Beyonce has exclusively released the Deluxe Edition of her 4 album. In the 2011 issue of MONARCH Magazine, Kerry Rhodes, a recent inductee into the Kentucky Chapter of the NFL's Hall of Fame, stars with "Hellcats" actress Sharon Leal in the mag's summer travel issue.

| GOSSIP BIT: Bow Wow's Mom Tweets About Bow's New Daughter?! Posted: 30 Jun 2011 12:00 PM PDT So Bow Wow really does have a baby? There's a pic floating around the net posted by a certain "site" of a baby girl that is said to be Bow Wow's, but it's not. The baby is actually Joie's, Bow's alleged baby mama, best friend's baby girl.
BUT...that doesn't mean Bow and Joie didn't have a baby of their own. What Bow Wow's mom said today that may confirm Bows a daddy when you read on... A little less than a year ago, rumors started to spread that Bow Wow was messing with a video chick/booty model named Joie (pictured above)--interestingly at the same time he was trying to get back in his ex-girlfriend Angela Simmons' good graces. Supposedly, Angela chucked him the deuces once she found out he allegedly knocked up this "model" chick Joie. And so the rumors began. Fast forward to 9 months later, and Bow has been sending subliminal mushy tweets for several weeks about a new person in his life who means so much to him. And who he hates to leave. He shot down fans who asked if he's talking about his alleged baby. But still did so vaguely. Supposedly, Joie delivered her baby girl named Shai very recently--and she just had her baby shower a coouple of weeks ago. Bow Wow's mom Teresa Caldwell tweeted just today this little nugget about said "Shai" (whose name could very well be a play off her supposed daddy's name--Shad "Bow Wow" Moss):

Q Parker On Beyonce's "1+1" Posted: 30 Jun 2011 11:47 AM PDT Beyonce's "1+1" track joins Drake's "Marvin's Room" as one of the most covered tracks of the year so far as Dondria and Q Parker have both jumped on the "1+1" train. Decide who sang it best inside.... Beyonce's "1+1" track (written by The Dream) seems to be inspiring many singers across the nation as folks are uploading viral videos of their own versions on the song. | Tia Mowry & Cory Hardrict's Baby's Name REVEALED! Posted: 30 Jun 2011 11:10 AM PDT Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict revelaed to The YBF back in February that their baby boy's name would begin with a C. And they've just released their new bundle of joy's full "C" name!
Hit the jump for the reveal... Baby boy Cree Taylor Hardrict said HELLO WORLD! Tuesday morning. Mom Tia delivered the couple's 8lbs of baby fabness in L.A. And they're keeping with the first-letter-of-the-dad's-name family tradition. Tia, Tamera, and all their siblings have names starting with "T", just like their own father Timothy. And it looks like they snuck in that "T" tradition as well with his middle name. (By the way, Tia's middle name is Dashon and her mom's name is Darlene). Cute! Us Weekly reports the news saying:
The couple's pregnancy will be documented alongside twin sis Tamera Mowry's wedding journey on the sisters' upcoming reality show called "Tia & Tamera" on August 8th on the Style Network. The Hollywood Reporter dropped details on the show:

And there's a plank takeover in black Hollywood. We still don't get what all the hype is about with this phenomenon. But pics inside... Lebron James and his girlfriend Savanah tweeted a pic of their backstage meeting with Bono at the U2 concert this week. Cute! Trina sparked pregnancy rumors when she hit up "Basketball Wife" Royce Reed's birthday party the other night. And she shot those rumors ALL THE WAY down. Sidenote: When and how did they become friends? I guess Miami is a small small world. Interesting...
Chris Brown gave us a sneak peek into his brand new video he's currently shooting. Erykah Badu has taken up a "natural birthing assistant" position and is earning to help other mothers deliver babies at home. She tweeted about her latest who she just helped birth yesterday--after a 45 hour natural birth labor: thank u Felicia and Jay for trusting me. marley is phenom ! your badoula WOW! The cast of judges for the upcoming "X Factor" snapped a pic for fans as they celebrated Nicole's b-day. You ready for Paula, Simon, Nicole S., and L.A. Reid? Missy and Timbaland reunited in the studio recently. Can't wait to hear what they came up with. Gabby Union tweeted a pic of her chillin' with friends at the Catamount in Mt. Tremper. Rihanna showed off her lashes right before a show a few days ago, which her lash guru Ja'Maal Buster named after her--Disturbia. Paris Jackson kicked it with her long-time family friend Kathy Hilton and her aunt La Toya during MJ's anniversary of his death weekend. Tisha Cambpell-Martin showed off the beautiful set of her new show "The Protector." A fan went nuts after spotted Lil Kim on the streets of NYC--and she wanted the world to know.
