More Little League Baseball Cuteness From Sean Preston

Posted: 02 May 2011 05:30 PM PDT

Earlier today we saw a cute photo shared by Britney Spears of her young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James enjoying some homemade sweet tea after Sean‘s Little League baseball game this weekend. Right now we get to see some cute photos of Sean P. in action at the game lookin’ every much the superstar that we know him to be. In addition, Sean‘s father Kevin Federline and his soon-to-be babymama Victoria Prince were at the game showing off their matching expanding bellies.

Sean is so cute! I love these weekly photos of him in action at his baseball games. Wouldn’t it be something if he grew up to be a superstar baseball player? We could all say we remember when he was just a wee little star in the Little League :) As for his father and his lady, well, they were at the game showing off their big bellies. As you may know, Vicky P‘s belly is full of another Federline child while K-Fed‘s belly is likely full of whatever he could find on the Dollar Menu at McDonald’s:

Sean P. is cute … K-Fed and his latest babymama are notsomuch. I understand that Britney attended the game but watched from her car so as not to draw too much attention to herself. I guess we’ll have to wait until next weekend to see the next batch of cute baseball photos :)

First Look: Rhys Ifans Surfaces As The Lizard On The Set Of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’

Posted: 02 May 2011 04:30 PM PDT

Yesterday we saw the first photos of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone on the NYC set of The Amazing Spider-Man and today we not only get to see more photos of Andrew and Emma on set but we also get our first look at actor Rhys Ifans in costume as the villain The Lizard. Now, Ifans is mostly covered up so as not to spoil his Lizard look but it’s clear from the make-up around his eyes that he is hiding his full Lizard costume underneath his coverings. Check out the photos below.

I was wondering if we were ever going to see photos of Ifans as The Lizard on set and I guess this is about as close as we’re gonna get. Granted, The Lizard doesn’t look so scary in his silk pajamas but I bet they’ll come up with some movie-making magic to turn him into a ferocious monster. I hope we get to see more … despite the fact that I don’t always like to see spoilers, I am very curious to see how this new Spider-Man reboot film will turn out.

Robert Pattinson Reveals To British ‘Elle’ A Desire Act On Stage In London

Posted: 02 May 2011 03:30 PM PDT

Robert Pattinson is featured in the pages of the new issue of British Elle magazine in an interview where the young actor reveals much new information that might be of interest to loyal fans. In this new interview, Rob expresses a desire to act on stage in a play but he fears that doing a show like that might turn into a bit of a circus where his fans are concerned. He also reveals that he would not date anyone (like say Kristen Stewart) as any sort of PR move. This new interview with Elle is one of R. Pattz‘s most honest and revealing. Click below for photos and excerpts from this interview.

On dating older women: “Every girl I went out with in my teens was older than me. My first girlfriend was 26, I was 17. Women who were older always seemed more exciting.” Because they knew more? “I guess so. I used to think I was a bit of a bad-ass when I was younger. I liked that it annoyed people how much younger I was. I liked walking into a room with a woman and people looking at us and thinking: they do not look like together.”

On writing music: “I have to be incredibly depressed to write songs and I’m not. What makes me want to write songs is when I wake up crying. I would have no idea why I was crying, but it made me sad for myself… ”

On his desire to act in a stage play: “I’d really really love to do a play in London,” he says. “But I’d just be afraid it would turn into an ‘NSync concert. Or people would come along expecting it to be something like Twilight. From the little amount of theatre I’ve done, I know that usually you can feel a push from the audience, who have come along wanting the show to succeed. But when I go to premieres, it’s more like the crowd is pulling, really wanting something from you. I always feel completely drained afterwards. It would be very strange and exhausting to have that kind of experience every night on stage.”

On whether his personal life is a product of studio manipulation: “No. Oh no. I’d love it if they tried. If studio tried to get involved with my personal life, I could start messing around with them in return… No. There’s nothing nefarious going on, I just don’t like people taking my picture. It’s not nice when your life becomes someone else’s news. Even when you’re having a good time and someone takes a picture and days, ‘Look at them having a good time!’ I feel like, it’s not your good time. People think we have people organising everything, that it’s all a publicity stunt. It’s not. There is no magical entourage – you’re just a person on your own. You have to figure it out.”

The full interview can be read in the pages of the new issue of British Elle magazine. Of the interviews I’ve read in the past, this seems the most revealing … the most honest. I suspect that someone will figure out a way for Pattinson to appear in a play if he really wanted to (and to capitalize on the intense fan support) and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he ended up making a record some day of all those depressing songs ;) This is a great interview, the full thing sounds like a must read.

‘Dexter’ Season 6 Will Feature At Least 3 New Characters

Posted: 02 May 2011 02:42 PM PDT

Back in late March we learned that the season 6 premiere of Dexter will likely get pushed back a few weeks to October (instead of September) but today TVLine is dishing new scoop about the new season that is sure to get fans excited for the new season. According to a new report out today, Dexter season 6 will feature at least 3 new characters who will have some sort of impact on the season’s drama. If you would like to know the spoilery names of these characters, keep reading below.

Production on Dexter's sixth season gets underway at month's end … and TVLine has an early look at the new blood being brought in to fill the void left by Julia Stiles, Peter Weller and Co. Among the three recurring roles being cast are…

Jamie: Described as an outgoing and fun Latina in her mid-20s, this Florida native relocates to Miami for grad school.

Chicago Mike: New thirtysomething African-American homicide detective who possesses a finely turned BS detector. The Windy City native does not play well with Dexter others.

Louis: A buddy of Masuka's (C.S. Lee) who joins MMP as a new lab intern. Role calls for a Caucasian actor in his 30s who is "attractive in his own way."

Obviously at this point, we don’t know which actors will play these roles … but considering that Julia Stiles and Peter Weller were fairly well-known actors, it’s likely that other well-known actors will be cast to play these roles on Dexter season 6. Filming of the new season hasn’t even begun yet and I’m already chomping at the bit for new eps. Whether the new season will debut in September (as usual) or a few weeks later in October, I know I’ll still be super anxious all Summer long awaiting new Dexter. If you could cast your dream actors for these roles, who would YOU like to see guest star on Dexter season 6?

Flava Flav Busted On Outstanding Warrants

Posted: 02 May 2011 01:59 PM PDT

Earlier today we learned that singer/actor Rick Springfield was arrested on charges of drunk driving last night and right now we learn that Public Enemy hypeman and reality TV entrepreneur Flava Flav (née William Johanathan Drayton, Jr.) was arrested in Las Vegas, NV this weekend during a routine traffic stop when it was discovered that he had 4 outstanding warrants for his arrest. Yikes!!

Flavor Flav found himself behind bars in Vegas this weekend … after the rapper was pulled over for a routine traffic violation … and the cop noticed there were FOUR warrants out for his arrest. Las Vegas cops tell us … Flav — aka William Jonathan Drayton, Jr. — was pulled over at 10:57 PM Friday night. When the cop ran Flav’s name in the system, he learned the rapper was a wanted man stemming from several prior brushes with the law. According to law enforcement, Flav never settled up with the court in 4 separate automobile-related matters — including driving without proof of insurance, a parking violation and two cases of driving without a license. We’re told Flav was taken to a nearby jail — where he was booked, posed for a brand new mug shot and was eventually released.

Folks, take care of your business. These small infractions can become big problems if they are not taken care of in a timely manner. I have a friend (who shall remain nameless) who claims to have thousands of dollars in parking tickets … my fear is one day that person might get busted in this very same way. I’m happy to know that Flava Flav wasn’t being reckless by drunk driving … but it would behoove him to not let dumb traffic infractions result in any more arrests.

Watching Movie ‘Til ‘Cherry’s Gone

Posted: 02 May 2011 12:53 PM PDT

Yesterday was a recuperation day for me. Absent the fact that 3 nights in a row of FUNKY-ASS Prince concerts at The Forum (HERE, HERE and HERE) is sure to take its toll on anyone, I’ve been battling cold symptoms that have really been wearing me down. Because of my malaise, I had to miss out on a trip that David and his friend Jeremy took to Disneyland. Instead, I spent much of the day sleeping. I did venture out at night to meet up and have dinner with my dear friend Darion … then I returned home to watch an old movie. Because I was in such a Prince mood, I decided to rewatch the 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon … and was reminded about just how HORRIBLE a movie it really is.

Lawd Have MERCY! Under the Cherry Moon, Prince‘s second film, is really difficult to watch. The soundtrack is amazing (one of his best collections of songs, to be honest) but the movie … ugh … is wretched. I mean … let’s be real … even Purple Rain is a bad film … but UTCM is THE worst. Like Madonna, Prince is an amazing pop star who just can’t seem to make a decent movie. I actually have never seen his third film Graffiti Bridge but I might have to check it out. I hear it’s not a good film either but … it can’t be worse than Under the Cherry Moon. Ah well.

Tonight, David and I are planning to meet up with Tam and Rob for a bowling double date … that should be fun. Tomorrow, night we are going to a screening of Thor and then I’ll be attending the 3 new Prince concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the end of thw week. Happy Days are here again! Happy Monday!!

Lindsay Lohan Does ‘Blank’ Magazine

Posted: 02 May 2011 11:24 AM PDT

Lindsay Lohan, whose trainwreck of a life has been turned into a BRILLIANT off-Broadway show titled Project: Lohan (now playing in NYC), is featured on the cover and in the pages of the international magazine Blank. As you may recall, Lindsay appeared on The Tonight Show last week to tell the world that she is ready to own up to her criminal actions. As a result, it is believed that Lohan will plead no contest to the misdemeanor theft charges leveled against her and she will serve about 3 weeks in jail for probation violation. That being said, she apparently is still a big draw then it comes to magazine publishing.

I mean … it’s another Lindsay photospread. Nothing too exciting, pretty much the same stuff we usually get. I will say that I like the styling of this shoot … again, nothing all that revolutionary but it’s not bad. It remains to be seen if Lindsay is serious about cleaning up her act. I think I’ll reserve judgment until she actually pleads no contest to the charges against her AND serves out her jail sentence. Even then, tho, she still has a long way to go to prove she’s a changed woman. Miracles do happen so … I guess we’ll wait and see. As for this photospread, what do y’all think?

Britney Spears Tweets A Cute Photo Of Her Sweet Sons

Posted: 02 May 2011 10:55 AM PDT

Altho Britney Spears has been working hard on rehearsals for her upcoming Femme Fatale summer tour (and HERE is the video to prove it), she did take time out of her bizzy schedule to take of some of her mom duties. Britney‘s eldest son Sean Preston participated in another weekly Little League baseball game this weekend and afterward, Britney treated both of her sons to a nice pot of homemade sweet tea … just like a Louisiana-bred mama should.

Had a great time at the boys’ tee ball game yesterday, made the boys mama’s homemade sweet tea after! -Brit

That’s a Southern mama right there. I LOVE when Britney shares personal photos on her official Twitter profile. It’s very nice to see that Britney is still takin’ care of biz at home with her boys even tho she is workin’ her buns off for all of us fans at the same time. LOVE IT!!

Jessica Simpson & Eric Johnson Ride A Bicycle Built For Two

Posted: 02 May 2011 10:39 AM PDT

Soon-to-be married couple Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson spent part of their weekend here in SoCal chillin’ out together in Venice, CA with a couple of their friends. The couples went for a bike ride together and raced along the boardwalk on Venice Beach having the time of their lives. Check out the very fun photos below.

She recently said she was planning to lose weight for her wedding by ‘dancing around her bedroom’. But it seems Jessica Simpson is also exploring other ways to shed the pounds before she marries fiancée Eric Johnson. The 30-year-old singer was seen enjoying a tandem bike ride with Johnson and a group of friends as they pedalled their way along the Venice boardwalk. Wearing a pair of denim shorts, white vest top and cowboy boots teamed with a khaki jacket and trendy headscarf, Jessica grinned with delight as Johnson took charge of steering the vehicle … Jessica is determined to be in the best shape ever for her nuptials, and is trying to ‘hopefully lose some weight’ ahead of her big day. She said: ‘I’m still trying to figure out what to wear! I don’t know if I want the big boom, or the curvy thing, but it will be something beautiful. I kind of have a couple of ideas in my head, and I have a date; I’m really excited!’ Asked if she was going to be embarking on a proper diet and exercise regime before the wedding, Jessica replied: ‘No exercise is fun! I am going to dance around my bedroom and hopefully lose some weight – and lift some weights and do what I can!’

Whatever Jessica … I say you do whatever you please and you get married in any way you choose! If she wants to slim down for her big day — fine. If she wants to not slim down — that is fine as well. It’s so great to see her looking so happy with Eric. I just hope that she is really in love with him and that she is smart going into this marriage. I’m hearing that she is not planning on having a prenup when she gets married this second time and, IMHO, that sounds like a mistake to me. Jessica has amassed a HUGE fortune with her clothing line … and, IMHO, she should protect herself as any smart businessperson in a similar situation would. If the couple are meant to be together forever then they can share in their joint riches. If things don’t work out, I’d hate for her to pay for it anymore than she would in emotional pain. BUT … homegirl is gonna do what she wants to do so … I just wish her the best. As I understand it, Jessica and Eric have already picked a wedding date but they have not made that info public. I’m guessing that sometime very soon this year, Jessica and Eric will be saying their I Dos. Let’s hope it’s a match made in everlasting love.

A New Batch Of Promo Photos Has Been Released From ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′

Posted: 02 May 2011 09:38 AM PDT

Last week we saw photos in Entertainment Weekly magazine from the upcoming sequel film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and today we get to see a few more promo photos from the film. Altho we are still many months away from the film’s release, this new batch of photos gives us an early look at some of the drama that will be featured in the first installment of the Twilight finale. Check out he photos below.

In the highly anticipated next chapter of the blockbuster The Twilight Saga, the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world. After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal. But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in motion a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle. The suspenseful and deeply romantic Breaking Dawn continues the epic tale of supernatural fantasy and passionate love that has made The Twilight Saga a worldwide phenomenon. Currently in Production. U.S. release via Summit Entertainment, November 18, 2011, and November 16, 2012.

LOL. I love how DRAMATIC this description of the film is … this short press release snippet reads better than the entire book penned by Stephenie Meyer. I have my concerns that Breaking Dawn is going to be a cinematic trainwreck but it CAN’T be worse than the novel. The photos are kinda interesting but not too exciting. I’m worried by the waterfall photo … cuz it looks cheap as Hell. Take a gander at the gallery below and feast your eyes on this early look at Breaking Dawn. Are these photos everything you wished for … and more?

Rick Springfield Busted!

Posted: 02 May 2011 09:16 AM PDT

Rick Springfield, the actor who found fame in the 80′s on the daytime drama General Hospital and also found fame on the pop music charts with his mega hit song Jessie’s Girl, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving here in LA last night. According to TMZ, Springfield failed field sobriety tests after the smell of alcohol was detected during a routine traffic stop at around 8PM last night.

’80s rocker Rick Springfield — the guy who sang “Jessie’s Girl” — was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk in Los Angeles last night … TMZ has learned. According to law enforcement, the 61-year-old singer was pulled over by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. around 8:00 PM for a traffic violation. When officers approached the vehicle, they noticed the smell of booze and asked Springfield to perform several field sobriety tests. We’re told Springfield performed poorly on the sobriety tests — and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Law enforcement sources tell us Rick’s blood alcohol content was measured at .10 and .08. The legal limit in California is .08. Springfield was taken to a nearby jail — where he was booked and eventually released on $5,000 bail.

Blah. Another celebrity DUI arrest. I say it every time these things happen, drunk driving is among the most offensive crimes to a society because the consequences of this kind of irresponsible and reckless behavior could very easily be deadly … not only for the offender but for innocent victims who just happen to be on the road at the same time of the drunk driving incident. It’s of some comfort that Springfield‘s alleged impaired driving did not result in any injury … but it’s very sad to continue to realize that drunk driving continues to be a common occurrence ;(

After DNA Confirmation Of Identity, Osama Bin Laden Has Been Buried At Sea

Posted: 02 May 2011 07:48 AM PDT

There is a lot of new information going around about the US military-led assault in Pakistan that resulted in the discovery and death of 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden … in an effort to update the news that was reported last night, I will post a bit more information about bin Laden’s death just to tie up a few loose ends. New reports confirm that yesterday’s military assault went into the planning stages last August. Information gleaned from Guantanamo Bay detainees 2 years ago had been worked on tirelessly in order to ferret out bin Laden’s hiding place. That information led to bi Laden’s compound in Pakistan where he was, essentially, hiding in plain view. bin Laden’s DNA was confirmed by comparing it with DNA from his sister’s brain. The FBI has updated its Most Wanted List with news of bin Laen’s death and President Barack Obama plans to address the nation again today at 11:55AM ET (8:55AM PT) with more information.

When the end came for Bin Laden, he was found not in the remote tribal areas along the Pakistani-Afghan border where he has long been presumed to be sheltered, but in a massive compound about an hour's drive north from the Pakistani capital of Islamabad. He was hiding in the medium-sized city of Abbottabad, home to a large Pakistani military base and a military academy of the Pakistani Army. The house at the end of a narrow dirt road was roughly eight times larger than other homes in the area, but had no telephone or Internet connections. When American operatives converged on the house on Sunday, Bin Laden "resisted the assault force" and was killed in the middle of an intense gun battle, a senior administration official said, but details were still sketchy early Monday morning. The official said that military and intelligence officials first learned last summer that a "high-value target" was being protected in the compound and began working on a plan for going in to get him. Beginning in March, Mr. Obama presided over five national security meetings at the White House to go over plans for the operation and on Friday morning, just before leaving Washington to tour tornado damage in Alabama, gave the final order for special forces and C.I.A. operatives to strike. Mr. Obama called it a "targeted operation," although officials said one helicopter was lost because of a mechanical failure and had to be destroyed to keep it from falling into hostile hands. In addition to Bin Laden, three men were killed during the 40-minute raid, one believed to be his son and the other two his couriers, according to an American official who briefed reporters under White House ground rules forbidding further identification. A woman was killed when she was used as a shield by a male combatant, the official said, and two others wounded. "No Americans were harmed," Mr. Obama said. "They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body." Muslim tradition requires burial within 24 hours, but by doing it at sea, American authorities presumably were trying to avoid creating a shrine for his followers.

I understand that DNA and photo evidence exists of bin Laden’s death but it remains to be seen if any of that information will be released to the public. I can absolutely understand the decision to bury bin Laden’s body at sea to keep his burial site from becoming a shrine but I’m sure there are those people out there who will be angry that his body wasn’t dragged thru the streets of the US. I think it’s important to remember that the people who are “celebrating” news of bin Laden’s death are really celebrating a sense of closure and justice from the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001:

So much innocent life was lost that day … bin Laden’s death essentially marks a sort of “end” for some of that pain. I put “end” in quotation marks because the threat from terrorists will never truly end and nothing will totally ease the pain of so much loss of life. Sadly, our world has been changed forever. More attacks will come, in places all around the world. But for the hundreds of thousands of people who were personally affected by the 9/11 attacks … if news of bin Laden’s death is able to give them some peace, some closure — some semblance of happiness … I know I, for one, do not want to take any of that away from them. May 1, 2011 will be a day that will go down in History. The war on terror may not truly be over … but at long last, after almost 10 years, we finally do have some sense of closure from the horrors that occurred on September 11, 2001 with bin Laden’s death.
