Has Charlie Sheen’s Obituary Already Been Written?

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 06:00 PM PST

Despite Charlie Sheen‘s “winning” attitude, there are rumors going around that media outlets have already written up the man’s obituary should tragedy strike due to his behavior of late. For the past week, Charlie Sheen has been giving interviews left and right, seemingly exposing an unsettling craziness that he has managed to keep relatively hidden. I guess it’s always better to be prepared … just in case.

You can’t prepare enough when dealing with a guy like Charlie Sheen. Following months of epic parties, hospitalizations and unabashed drug use where he was “bangin’ 7-gram rocks and finishing them,” major news organizations including the actor’s home at CBS have begun preparing obituaries for the unraveling-before-our-eyes star, sources tell me. “No one is wishing the worst but as a news organization for us not to be prepared for one of the biggest stories in a long time would be unprofessional,” a CBS insider tells me. Preparing obits for celebs in meltdown mode is nothing new, of course, and the Associated Press reportedly got things ready in 2008 in case Britney Spears died. Charlie called my friend Marianne Garvey and E! News this week and said his “Sober Valley Lodge” is filled with “babes and victories and children. Here, nobody panics and nobody dies.” But it’s not just his words that are scaring those close to him. Charlie’s thin, pale and generally exhausted appearance has friends and family worried. “All his friends and family are terrified,” a friend tells me. “No one knows what to do. Everyone tried an intervention and Charlie thinks we are all wrong and trying to hurt him and only he is right. It’s really out of control but no one at this point can save him from himself.” As for drugs, Sheen told E! “It’s there if I decide to go back to it. What’s not to like? I see things in a different way. Sometimes life is boring and I’ve got to make it exciting.” Lets all hope and pray the news orgs won’t have to run what they are working on for a long, long time.

Newsrooms have lots of obituaries already written for celebs that are still alive — usually the older celebs — so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they’ve decided to draft an obit for Charlie. That being said, considering all that Tiger’s Blood he claims to have running thru his veins, I’d bet good money that Charlie Sheen will be around to bring the crazy for many years to come … at least, I hope.

‘Little Miss Princess’ Is Having A Royal Wedding

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 05:00 PM PST

As April 29 draws closer, pretty much every is getting more and more excited for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton … including the Mr. Men and Little Miss gang. A new Little Miss Princess book is being published in time to capitalize on April’s Royal Wedding … adding to the growing collection of Royal Wedding-themed souvenirs. As a fan of the Mr. Men/Little Miss books as a kid, I think this is a really great idea.

It may not me the most flattering of royal portraits, but princess-in-waiting Kate Middleton is to be immortalised in art… as one of the Mr Men. The 29-year-old’s charmed life is to be the inspiration behind two new Mr Men books, published just in time for her wedding to Prince William on April 29. Little Miss Princess lives in a big castle with a moat and lots of servants. But the writer says she is not rude and spoilt but kind and generous. She is ‘privileged but caring’ but despite her good will she finds her best skill is ordering people about. Hargreaves has given his princess blonde hair – distancing the book a little from the real royal couple. This is good news for Prince William – Little Miss Princess’ prince is Mr Bump, who finds himself bed-ridden after a nasty fall, breaking his leg. The book is by Adam Hargreaves, whose father, Roger, invented the best-selling Mr Men series in 1971, followed by the Little Miss series in 1980. He told the Times: ‘She lives in a palace surrounded by servants who do everything for her, but she feels bad about this and she goes out to help people. ‘The humour derives from showing her trying to do practical things for Mr Bump, who is housebound after breaking his leg, but she is incapable because she has never had to do anything for herself.’ He claimed that he came up with the idea long before the announcement of the royal engagement and was in fact conceived for the franchise’s 40th anniversary. But he admitted the engagement came at a convenient time and the publisher decided to capitalise on it. Kate Middleton and Prince William have already lent their images to a raft of memorabilia from stamps, to coins and even tea bags. But to be immortalised on the pages of history as one of Britain’s love children’s books must surely be the jewel in the crown.

LOVE this so much!! I used to buy the Mr. Men and Little Miss books from the Scholastic Book cart that would visit my elementary school every month. In addition to scented erasers, colored pencils and pretzel rods, I would buy books like Clifford the Big Red Dog, Superfudge and Mr. Men/Little Miss. Of all of the stuff being released in celebration of the Royal Wedding, I think this is the coolest. This might be a book that I’ll have to get for my goddaughter Princess Zakiya … um, and maybe a copy for myself ;)

‘Water For Elephants’ Releases New Promo Images Of Robert Pattinson & Reese Witherspoon

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 04:00 PM PST

Early last month we got to see the Water for Elephants poster that features lead star Robert Pattinson all by his lonesome. Today we get to see a few new promo stills from the film that feature R. Pattz with his female lead, Reese Witherspoon. I gotta say … Rob looks really dashing in a couple of these pics. Check ‘em out below.

Rob deffo looks really handsome in the first photo … he looks ok in the second pic … and he, again, looks handsome and dashing in the third pic. I still have yet to read the book but from the looks of it, this movie is going to be a romantic schmaltz-fest.

Watch: Lindsay Lohan’s Interview With ‘Extra!’ TV, Part 2

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 03:00 PM PST

On Wednesday we saw part 1 of Lindsay Lohan‘s interview on Extra! TV and right now we get to see the second and final part of the interview. In this video clip Lindsay gives the Extra! cameras a quick peek inside her home (the living room only), she opens up about her love of cooking and gives advice to other young people struggling with the “similar circumstances” that she’s been through. If you haven’t had enough Lindsay, check out this second interview installment below.

The cooking thing, I think, is meant to humanize her a bit … so that the audience can go, Hey! She’s just like me! It’s a nice touch for the interview I think. The “inside look” in her home is a bit disappointing. I mean, really … all we get to see are her two MTV Movie Awards?

Still … Lindsay does look and sound better in this portion of the interview. There’s less eye-shifting going on and she seems to genuinely light up when she talks about the cooking. Here is today’s interview installment:

As you may recall, we learned earlier today that Lindsay is reportedly seriously considering taking the plea bargain deal in her felony grand theft case. As a result, she deffo has some more jail time in her future. It remains to be seen if Lindsay will adhere to the “one day at a time” mentality after she goes before the judge next Friday March 10. But if she truly can maintain the composure she appears to show in this interview — after she pays for her crimes again — she could still turn things around in her life. Will she clean up her mess of a life? As always, stay tuned.

James Franco Poses For Terry Richardson

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 02:00 PM PST

James Franco hooked up with photographer Terry Richardson to pose for a few photos for posting on Richardson‘s official website. As you may know, Terry shoots photos of lots of celebs and many of those photos are, at the very least, kinda sorta interesting. These photos of James are, IMHO, pretty meh … but if you’re a Franco fan, you’ll prolly get a kick out of them. Check ‘em out below.

The photos are cute cuz James is cute but … there really isn’t anything all that interesting about the shoot overall. The photo of James as Terry is frightening because the size of James‘s open mouth is, well, frightening. Hopefully the next time that Franco poses for Richardson the resulting photos will be a bit more fun.

Mariah Carey Is Having A Baby Shower On Sunday March 6

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 01:00 PM PST

In early February we learned from Life & Style magazine that Mariah Carey was rumored to be carrying a baby girl AND a baby boy in her womb. Today we learn that L&S was right … because the invitation to Mimi‘s baby shower, which will take place this Sunday, makes it very clear that she is having a boy and a girl.

Mariah Carey will be swimming in blankets, rattles and Diaper Genies this weekend … when she attends her baby shower in Beverly Hills! TooFab has learned the pregnant singer’s “Pink and Blue” shower will be held this Sunday night from 7pm-9pm at a swanky Bev. Hills hotel — “Pink and Blue” because Carey’s having a girl and boy with husband Nick Cannon. The bash is being hosted by Mariah’s publicist Cindi Berger, her manager Louise McNally and Stefano Zagni of Angel Champagne … We’ve also learned some of the items on Carey’s gift registry for the shower, which includes a $2,000 custom-made bedding set for a crib, a $350 custom-made car seat cover, a $1,200 giraffe and, surprisingly, no Hello Kitty! Mariah is due this Spring.

Aww … yay!! Mimi must be pretty close to birthin’ her babies if she’s already at the baby shower stage. I know that there was speculation that Mariah was having a boy and a girl but this seems to be the official confirmation that we’ve been waiting for. Mariah hasn’t been seen out and about much in the past few weeks … but at least we know she’ll make an appearance for the shower on Sunday. It won’t be long now … we’ll be toasting baby Mimi and Nick very, very soon :D

In Loving Memory

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 12:01 PM PST

Last night David and I caught a performance of the Blue Man Group and we thought we had scored by nabbed front row center seats for the show. Little did we know that front row center is the WORST place to see the show … especially if you wish to remain unschmootzed. We had fun tho and afterward hung out with our new friend Mark. This morning, we made our way out into the city to spent a couple of hours at the stunning Holocaust Memorial. The early morning following the late night was rough but totally worth it.

Long story short, the Blue Man Group show was really fun … except for the part where smooshed bananas got shot in our faces! Thank goodness we wore our plastic ponchos … but David did not escape unscathed. The poor guy got banana down his shirt :( Afterward we grabbed a quick bite to eat a McD’s mainly because I wanted to read all the labels in German … and because I was dying for some McNuggets ;) We met up with Mark to go bar hopping and ended the night at Bassy Cowboy Club for Chatal’s House of Shame party. Twas a fun but very late night.

This morning, we spent the day in quiet reflection at the Holocaust Memorial. I was really taken with how beautiful the sculpture area of the memorial is. The museum underground was haunting but very well done:

Across the street is the memorial for the Gays who were persecuted in Germany and inside the sculpture is a video playing on a loop that shows two men kissing. Here is the video:

I can’t say we had “fun” at the memorials but I’m so glad that we got to spend the morning in quiet reverence there. I’m not sure what is on tap for tonight but we may end up making it an early night to make up for last night. This weekend should be packed with fun stuff … and, happily, we still have another week of Berlin to go :) Happy Friday, Happy Weekend!!

Britney Spears Confirms She Will Go On Tour In The ‘Early Summer’

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 10:10 AM PST

Earlier this morning, our dear Britney Spears paid an in-studio visit to the On Air with Ryan Seacrest show on KIIS FM in LA to officially debut her new single Till the World Ends (which you can listen to in full HERE) and to generally talk about her new album Femme Fatale. In the course of the interview, Britney confirmed that she WILL tour this year staring in the “early Summer”. In addition to this new radio interview, new deets about Britney‘s upcoming Good Morning American performance (which will take place in San Francisco, CA) have come to light. Read on for all the info and to HEAR Britney on the radio today.

I really love this interview … it is SO amazing to hear Britney on the radio again. She talked about working with will.i.am (meh) and revealed that she has an artist named Sabi on her new album (guest vocals? duet? it’s unclear). She talked a bit about her boyfriend Jason Trawick, which was really cute to hear. When the subject of her GMA performance came up, she revealed that she will be performing 3 songs on the show. Read on for more deets about the GMA plan (thus far) for Britney‘s performance in San Francisco at the end of this month:

Streets will be closed later this month when Britney Spears tapes a performance for "Good Morning America" outside the Castro Theatre, according to Supervisor Scott Wiener. The 400 and 500 blocks of Castro Street between Market and 19th streets will be closed starting just before midnight on March 26 until about 4 or 5 p.m. on March 27, said Wiener, whose district includes the Castro neighborhood. The actual one-hour performance is slated to begin at noon. The piece is set to air on GMA the following Tuesday, March 29. Wiener said a yet-to-be determined number of people will be allowed in to see it for free. ABC producers have been meeting with local groups to hash out plans for the segment. The cost of the whole affair is unknown at this point, Wiener said, but ABC will foot the bill for any city expenditures, which could include police for crowd control, rerouting of Muni services and movement of street cables to accommodate the stage and recording equipment. Wiener said the 24 and 33 lines would be rerouted, and the F Line could also be impacted. Wiener said ABC producers are in the process of submitting permit applications and details will be solidified in the coming weeks. Spears is set to arrive in San Francisco a few days before the Sunday performance, most likely to meet with youth organizations including the Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center and Larkin Street Youth Services … rooftop parties are already planned for the event and the novelty, at the very least, is exciting for the neighborhood. Former Supervisor Bevan Dufty said the rebounding pop star's appearance can't be a bad thing. "The Castro is really rooting for Britney," Dufty said.

Britney‘s San Fran concert is going to be really fun, I just know it. I’m trying to figure out if I can make my way up to SF for the performance but even if I can’t, I know homegirl is going to KILL it!! Britney on the radio this morning was just the best thing ever. I am SO looking forward to hearing and seeing more from her … hopefully soon :D

Will Trent Reznor Star In The Movie Version Of ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’?

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 09:27 AM PST

Fresh from his win last Sunday night at the Academy Awards, Trent Reznor is reportedly in talks with 20th Century Fox to not only provide the music for the upcoming big screen adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter … but he may also play a role in the film! As you may recall, we learned last October that plans were in the works to bring the novel to life on the big screen and now we learn that the studio is hoping to get Reznor to play a vampire in the film!

Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame, who made the transformation to Oscar-winning composer with the score for last year's The Social Network, is in talks to join Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox confirms that the studio is currently negotiating to lure Reznor aboard, not only to supply the film's music, but to play Jack Barts, the vampire who kills Lincoln's mother and sets the hero on his path of righteous vengeance.

OMG … this would be AMAZING! I mean, yes, the music stuff would be very cool … but if Trent really does sign on to appear in the film (most likely a smaller cameo role) as a vampire, I will just die! Previously, Reznor appeared in the Michael J. Fox/Joan Jett film Light of Day back in 1987 as a keyboard player in a band … but I believe this role, should Reznor accept, would be his first significant role in a film as an actor. I, personally, think Trent would make a fantastic vampire … let’s see if he decides to take the part. What do y’all think? Would YOU like to see Trent Reznor move into the world of acting?

A New Promo Photo Of Red Skull From ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Has Been Revealed

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 08:25 AM PST

Last month we got our first look at actor Hugo Weaving in full costume as the villainous Red Skull in the upcoming Marvel Comics film Captain America: The First Avenger. Right now we get to check out the first official promo photo released of Weaving as Red Skull along with an Entertainment Weekly magazine interview with Captain America director Joe Johnson.

Most superheroes are only as good as their villains are bad. In this summer's Captain America: The First Avenger, Chris Evans plays a scrawny, sickly wannabe soldier during World War II who gets an injection that turns him into a super-warrior. A similar experiment was also established by the Nazis, but turned their test subject — the weapons developer Johann Schmidt (Hugo Weaving) — into the ghastly Red Skull … The premise of the movie, out July 22, is that the serum only brings out the subject's inner strength. Good guys, like Steve Rogers, remain good guys — only much tougher. Bad guys, like Schmidt, turn into living horrors.

I have to say … I’m very impressed with the way Red Skull turned out for this film. It’s not always easy to bring comic book characters to life. Marvel failed to do a good enough job with The Hulk in their first movie so they had to try again for their second movie … and, IMHO, they still haven’t gotten the character right. Thus far, based on what we’ve seen in the first Captain America movie trailer and now this promo photo, Red Skull looks great. Along with this photo, EW brings us an interview with director Joe Johnson where he talks all things Captain America. Here are a few excerpts from the interview:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: The strength of heroes is often found in their weaknesses. What vulnerabilities does Captain America have that make him interesting and relatable?
JOE JOHNSTON: What I like is he's not a superhero in the true sense of the word. He becomes a superhero but doesn't have any super powers. He is just the best possible, human specimen. Imagine the fastest, strongest Olympian athlete. Add 30 percent. That's Steve Rogers.

The movie is set during World War II, when there was great pressure on men to fight, but Steve is physically frail at the beginning and the military doesn't even want him.
The thing that appeals to me is he is everyman. He's a 98-pound weakling. All he really wants to do is the right thing and serve his country and [at first] nobody wants him because he's too weak. He's been picked on all his life. But he's a guy who never gives up. That's his trademark.

After he gets the super-soldier injection, that's when he becomes the only hope of stopping the Nazis' Red Skull. Is part of what makes him a hero that he remembers what it was like to be pushed around?
Yeah, for Steve Rogers it's a very personal thing. At one point he says, "I don't like bullies, I don't care where they're from." He makes a complete physical transformation to a perfect human specimen. But inside he doesn't change at all. It must be tempting to go back and say "I'm going to get that guy who beat me up in high school." He does get revenge in the film, but on the Nazis — not on people who maybe picked on him. Before he gets the injection, the doctor tells him: "Whatever happens, stay who you are."

The first issue of Captain America in the Marvel Comics featured him punching Hitler in the jaw. That was March 1941, well before the U.S. even entered the war. Is there still a political side to Cap?
He was created as propaganda tool, but he soon became much more than that. There are all these incarnations over the decades, but the film is not a flag waver. It's about a guy who wants to do the right thing, and that transcends all nationalities and borders. He's going to do the right thing no matter what flag is on his chest.

How do you feel about the title being changed to The First Avenger for release internationally?
There was some concern [the name] Captain America will not play in certain countries. If it were up to me I wouldn't thread the needle so carefully. I'd call it Captain America, since that's what it is.

Did you have to think much about the upcoming Avengers movie when working on Captain America?
I really didn't. Because this was a period film, because this was the origin story, I didn't have to worry about the Avengers which was a present day story. We have present-day bookends and bring Cap back at the end and then I basically hand him off. And The Avengers is its own thing.

How do you relate to someone who can fly, and is bulletproof, and can throw tanks around?
Movies like that are a lot harder to do, because how you make someone like that vulnerable? Someone like Superman. I don't know if that's the best example, but it's certainly the one that comes to mind. How do you make a guy who is invincible seem real? Kryptonite, that is his one weakness, but I don't know. It's much easier with a guy like Steve Rogers who has all kinds of built in weaknesses, because of who he was and how he grew up.

This year is going to be a big year for superhero movies. I’m cautiously optimistic that the films will turn out well … but you just never know with these things. Captain America: The First Avenger looks like it’s gonna be a good one … but it’s far too early to know for sure. Of the little sneak peeks at things we’ve been getting in the past few months, I’d say the movie looks like it’ll be a’ight. So far, so good.

Watch: Jennifer Lopez Featuring Pit Bull, ‘On The Floor’

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 07:55 AM PST

Back in January we got our first listen of an early version of Jennifer Lopez‘s new single On the Floor which, IMHO, wasn’t all that thrilling. Since then, the song was improved upon and right now we get our first look at the music video for the track. As you can see below, guest rapper Pitbull is featured in the video and it looks like J. Lo is workin’ real hard to revive her music career. Watch the video and judge for yourselves.

While I didn’t love the early version of the song we heard previously, I am actually digging this final version. The song really reminds me of the songs from the J. Lo album era … and I can’t help but LOL when she says “put your drinks up”. Watch below:

The song is hot, the video is cute. I wouldn’t say that J. Lo is back … yet … but this is a good sign that she is on her way back. Now I’m really anxious to hear more tracks from Jennifer‘s new album Love? What do y’all think of this video? Are you impressed?

Courtney Love To Pay $430k To Settle Her Twitter Defamation Lawsuit

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 07:23 AM PST

Back in January we learned that Courtney Love was being sued for defamation after she posted a series of derogatory tweets toward a fashion designer known as Boudoir Queen (real name Dawn Simorangkir). As a result of that lawsuit, Love decided to settle the case for the sum of approximately $430,000 (the exact amount is scheduled to be revealed next week). Apparently, Love‘s attorneys feared she would have to pay out a lot more money and decided to bite the bullet and settle … to the tune of almost half a million dollars.

Rocker Courtney Love has settled the lawsuit brought against her by a fashion designer who claims she was defamed in a series of messages posted on Twitter. The settlement with Dawn Simorangkir (aka the "Boudior Queen"), which sources say is being finalized today and will be announced next week, will cost Love about $430,000. The first payment of cash is due today, followed by a series of payments to Simorangkir stretched out until 2014 … Love argued that her rantings were merely an expression of opinion and that Simorangkir could not prove how they damaged her. The fashion designer, on the other hand, pointed to Love's influence as an entertainer and the power of social media to disseminate damaging comments, including that Simorangkir was an "asswipe nasty lying hosebag thief." “The amount of the settlement says it all,” Simorangkir attorney Bryan Freedman tells THR. "Her reprehensible defamatory comments were completely false and $430,000 is quite a significant way to say I am sorry. One would hope that, given this disaster, restraint of pen, tongue and tweet would guide Ms. Love's future conduct." Love attorney James Janowitz says he’s pleased with the deal. “Because of the extended payout it’s a modest settlement,” Janowitz tells us, adding that Simorangkir had asked for “vastly more” in discussions. “They got out with an amount that left them bragging rights but nothing else.” Will Love continue to express herself on Twitter? “I don’t think she’s using it any more,” he says. “But I could be wrong.”

Altho the case did not actually go to trial, this does make it crystal clear that defamatory statements made on Twitter can come back to bite you in the ass. No precedent has been set here but I think news of Love‘s $400k+ pay out should be a warning to those who think they can “express” themselves on Twitter without suffering the consequences. It remains to be seen if C. Love will continue to tweet in the future, my guess is that she will, but I would hope that she will exercise some restraint in the future … tho, I sincerely doubt that she will.

Christina Aguilera Emerges For The First Time Since Being Arrested

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 06:54 AM PST

Christina Aguilera was spotted in public last night for the first time since she was arrested in the wee hours of Tuesday morning in West Hollywood, CA on the charge of public intoxication. Xtina was making her way out of the Smashbox Studios where she reportedly filmed a new promo for NBC‘s new American Idol-like show The Voice. As we learned earlier this week, Xtina has joined The Voice as a coach/judge on the show. It would seem that Xtina is doing all she can to put her arrest behind her so she can move forward with this new project.

Christina Aguilera is coming to NBC. The five-time Grammy winner has signed on as a coach/judge on Mark Burnett's singing competition series The Voice. Celebrity singers fill three spots on the judging panel so far, with Xtina joining Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine. Aguilera was first reported as being in talks for the show in an EW exclusive posted last week. "I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it," Aguilera said in a statement. "To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists' careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.mI am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to The Voice." Though launching any music competition series at the same time Fox's American Idol is on the air remains perilous, the lineup gives NBC some heavy-hitting star power behind its show — and adds to Burnett's impressive roster of reality casting coups … "When I decided to produce The Voice, I immediately knew that my first choice for a female coach had to be Christina Aguilera," Burnett said. "Christina has a perfect voice and is an undeniable force in the music business. She is the epitome of The Voice."

Not that I think that The Voice will be a runaway hit but this new gig for Xtina is just what she needs right now. We’ve been hearing about her reported troubles with booze for the past few months and this week’s arrest really brought the matter out into the forefront. By focusing on The Voice and moving forward positively (hopefully), Xtina has the chance to kinda sidestep the embarrassing woes that come along with being arrested. As long she keeps her nose out of trubs, she should be fine. As I said, I don’t really have high hopes that The Voice will be a smash success (IMHO only X Factor has any real chance of supplanting Idol in the singing competition arena), but the show could do well … which would be very, very good for Xtina right now.

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Ready To Plea Bargain & Will Do Jail Time

Posted: 04 Mar 2011 06:28 AM PST

A couple of weeks ago we learned that Lindsay Lohan was refusing to take any plea bargain deal in her felony grand theft case that would force her to spend any time in jail. With her next court appearance coming up next week and the prosecutor’s unwillingness to budge, TMZ is reporting that Lindsay is reconsidering her stance and may accept the plea bargain after all. If she does, the 6 month jail sentence would likely get reduced but without question, she will have to go back to jail.

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer and the prosecutor have been trying to hammer out a plea bargain but have hit a wall, so now they’re having a pow wow with the judge to break the stalemate. Sources connected to the case tell TMZ … Shawn Holley has been speaking with Dannette Meyers about copping a plea in Lindsay’s felony grand theft case — the whole necklace thing — but Meyers won’t budge on 6 months in jail. So … we’ve learned Holley and Meyers will go to court next week and meet with Judge Keith Schwartz in his chambers. We’re told Holley will ask the judge what sentence he’d hand down if Lindsay pleads guilty or no contest. Sources familiar with the case and Judge Schwartz believe Hiz Honor would probably go for a 3 month sentence. Our sources say both Meyers and Holley believe Lindsay will only do 20% of the actual sentence because of overcrowding. So, if Judge Schwartz gave Lindsay 3 months, she’d only serve 18 days. Judge Schwartz is known as a settlement judge, so it’s likely a deal can be struck … IF Lindsay’s willing to accept reality — that she’s going to do some jail time, no matter what.

Of course, all of this is merely speculative but it really does sound like Lindsay will be going back to jail, for some amount of time. The prosecutor seems really intent on keeping a jail sentence on the table. The judge could reduce the sentence or not … but, if this deal is struck, Lindsay will be going back to jail. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up serving less than 18 days … but still, jail is jail. Lohan is due back in court a week from today so anything could happen between now and then. My guess … Lindsay get’s a 2 week jail sentence. Will it be enough for her to finally learn her lesson? We shall see.
