Try To Go To Brooklyn, Get Attacked By Taxi Driver Posted: 03 May 2011 08:35 AM PDT If you live in New York, you know that sometimes cab drivers just really don’t want to go to Brooklyn. They don’t like the idea of getting stuck in bridge traffic, and they’re always afraid they might not catch a fare back to Manhattan. Also they are maniacs. They are insane people on a power trip because the simple fact is this: You need a ride and they have a car. This isn’t to say they are always unpleasant. Sometimes a heavily accented conspiracy theorist will say you look hungry and demand (DEMAND) that you eat the banana he brought for his lunch. But, either way, they want to go to Brooklyn. Below are two women who learned this lesson. Thanks, Buzzfeed. |
The Internet Doesn’t Get Much Better Than This Kid’s Performance Of “Nu Thang” Posted: 03 May 2011 07:54 AM PDT Here’s a kid who may be a walking season of Tim & Eric performing the swinging Christian rap “Nu Thang” by DC Talk in front of a bunch of balloons at… I can’t tell where he is, that might be some cable access show but it might be the Staples Center. It’s basically a two-minute first round of Idol auditions followed by total silence then Simon saying “I have no idea what that was and I have never been more…IMPRESSED!” and just handing the kid the title. You’re the dog now, God! From one talented rapper to another, kid, I can tell you straight up: You got the goods. Don’t change a thing. (via FourFour) |
Super Young Vin Diesel Shows You How To Breakdance Posted: 02 May 2011 02:31 PM PDT Vin Diesel, star of The Fast and the Furious then not 2 Fast 2 Furious then the very end of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift then Fast and Furious with no “The”s and now Fast Five, in some bizarre parabola-shaped arc of being too famous for the franchise then totally not again, even though 5 is gonna be bigger than 3 was so not automatically worse but– I’m rambling. The point is, Vin Diesel once starred in a video showing you how to breakdance. Let’s watch it: FYI, the music that’s playing is what I hear in my head when I successfully put away a load of laundry. Then I do the same dance but more. (via Popeater) |
Jumping Dog Refuses To Not Look At Baby Posted: 02 May 2011 12:42 PM PDT It’s kind of fun to imagine that, in an alternate reality, the dog is just trying to eat the baby once he finally gets up onto the bed. I think Kriss Kross has a new favorite dog and/or video! Thanks, The High Definite. |
Never Forget: The Perfect “Saddam And Osama” TV Funhouse Cartoon Posted: 02 May 2011 12:16 PM PDT The death of Osama Bin Laden brings some degree closure to a number of different things, both real and symbolic (my submission to the 2011 General Sentence Awards!) Perhaps least importantly (but still a thing), the deaths of Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein and the subsequent Twitter eulogy of the former means the merciful end of Osama and Saddam parodies, in all their forms. About 90% of all Saddam and Osama jokes were, like 90% of all things, extremely lame, but once in a very rare while someone would just absolutely nail it, and unsurprisingly, Robert Smigel’s “Saddam & Osama” Saturday TV Funhouse cartoon was one of those things. Below, let’s watch the “Saddam & Osama” cartoon one last time, and close the book on a thick compendium of lazy satire with one perfectly absurd nod to two of the most-parodied caricatures in recent history: I would watch the CRAP out of that Batman episode. Too late to make that the Dark Knight Returns plot? Jackie Mason’s definitely alive and available. |
So Here’s What Raven Symone Looks Like Now Posted: 02 May 2011 12:03 PM PDT Is this a “Congratulations!” thing or an “Are you okay?!” thing? Here is Raven Symone on a catwalk at the 18th Annual Race to Erase MS event. Perhaps a cautious kudos is in order. Good for her! Unless this is something we should be concerned about! This is getting uncomfortable. How about a really quick dumb joke thing?
Good. That’s better. Terrible. But, better. Thanks, The Daily Mail and Ms. Walker for the tip.

There’s Something Very Slightly Wrong With This Cinderella Cake Posted: 02 May 2011 10:22 AM PDT Can you spot the one teeny tiny part of this Dairy Queen Cinderella Cake that isn’t right? I realize “right” is a subjective term, but, well, I’m guessing we’ll all agree on this: Answer is after the jump (might be NSFW, unless you’re the Cake Boss):
Did you catch the mistake? It was the part where Cinderella was like “F The Police.” It was behind those big floaty question marks. So if you guessed “The price was off by $2″ or “There is a teeny inappropriate stripper waiting to pop out,” you are probably right about those things also but I was just referring to the other thing. Good game! (pic via BuzzFeed) |
