Britney Spears Enjoys Some Bonding Time With Jayden James

On Friday afternoon Britney Spears enjoyed an afternoon lunch date with her youngest son Jayden James in Calabasas, CA while her eldest son Sean Preston was at Kindergarten. That’s right, folks, Britney‘s first born son started school this Fall and while he was learnin’ his ABCs, Britney and JJ stepped out for a little lunch together:


But, lest you think that Sean P. missed out on all the fun Friday … think again. After school, Britney packed up both of her youngn’s and with boyfriend Jason Trawick took the entire family to Disneyland! After the jump, check out a photo of Britney and her boys riding the Dumbo ride at Disneyland …

Britney Spears played the easiest card in the parenting book today — she took her little munchkins to Disneyland — and we’re told she had her run of the place. Our spies tell us the Dumbo ride was shut down so that Britney and her little ones could have the ride all to themselves. Notice how the people are waiting patiently for their turn. We’re told Britney — who was there with both kids, plus boyfriend Jason Trawick — traveled throughout the park with lots of security around them. Britney’s a great mom after all.

Aww … so cute. I’m still freaked out that Sean Preston is old enough to go to Kindergarten already! Like, seriously, WTF? Next Fall, both of Britney‘s children will be in school … it’s insane! It looks like Britney really wants to enjoy as much funtime with her boys while she still can … they are both growing up so fast. In fact, Jaden James turns 4 years old today. I suspect we may be seeing more alonetime dates between Britney and Jayden … after all, she’s already got one kid in school. OY!

All Shook Up

On Friday night David, his family and I were welcomed guests of the new Cirque du Soleil show Viva Elvis which is performed nightly at the Aria Hotel and Casino inside CityCenter in Las Vegas, NV and we had THE best time ever. The folks at Cirque du Soleil are always so kind and generous to us whenever we want to see one of their shows and this time was no exception. Because we were celebrating David’s dad’s birthday and because he is the biggest Elvis Presley fan ever, it was just a no-brainer that we would all convene in Las Vegas to see the show. The folks at Cirque du Soleil (and Ann especially) made sure that we all had the best time ever for David’s dad’s birthday:


The show itself is a Vegas must-see. Viva Elvis tells Elvis‘s life story thru his music but in only the way Cirque du Soleil can. The emphasis of the show is on the music of Elvis Presley but the Cirque-style performances are just insanely entertaining. There is a portion of the show that features trampoline work and I was left with my jaw on the floor … it was just incredible to see live. I was also impressed with the portion of the show where fire was utilized in the performance … each number was unique and inventive and gives the classic music of Elvis Presley an exciting shot in the arm. I’ve enjoyed many Cirque du Soleil shows over the years and Viva Elvis is only the latest fave for me to add to my list. If you are an Elvis fan, you MUST see this show … it’s like Elvis Heaven. We were all deffo feelin’ the Elvisness on that night … it was so much fun. After the show, we made our way to Sage restaurant for birthday dinner and I can’t even tell you how delicious EVERYTHING was. Lobster ravioli, NY strip steak and gourmet s’mores … I ate like a king. I had a great time with David and his family in Las Vegas but I think Sage might’ve been my fave thing we did all weekend ;) It was deffo the perfect way for me to end my Vegas trip.

David and his family stayed in LV all day yesterday and last night but I flew home early yesterday so that I could attend Mariqueen and Trent’s baby shower:


It was really nice seeing everyone all together again … even my boy Sergio flew in from Detroit to be at the shower yesterday. We ate, drank and were very merry. We all made fun bibs for Baby Reznor … I mean, I don’t go to that many baby showers but this one was really fun.

I ended up crashing out early last night and totally missed out on the Scissor Sisters show :( But there is no rest for the weary, in a couple of hours I need to be at the Nokia Theater in downtown LA to attend the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. I will do my best to snap as many pics as possible and I’ll be tweeting all night long. MTV always puts on a great show … I cannot wait to see what will go down tonight.

As you can see from the following photo, this week’s Hot Dude seemed to have a bit of trubs keeping his pants up all the way … tsk tsk. Say hello to Nick Pesola:


Much like many of his Long Island compatriots who enjoy their Summers on the Jersey Shore, you can see that Nick here has got a Situation going on in the abs department. Despite the fact that Nick might benefit from tying up the drawstring on the shorts that appear to be slipping off his body, I don’t think any of us really mind that the lad has trubs keeping his pants on. Zac Efron Shows Off His New Beard On The Red Carpet

Oh no … no no no … oh, Zac Efron. Last weekend we got a wee sneak peek at Zac Efron‘s new facial hair that he’s been trying to grow lately and at the time, I thought it was a good, manly look for him. Sadly, it turns out that I was very, very wrong. Zac showed off his new beard on the red carpet of the Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France and, as you can see, the look doesn’t really work for him … at all:


Zac brought along his latest film Charlie St. Cloud but the real talk of his appearance was all that chin pubeage he Efron was sportin’ on his face. Facial hair can be very hot on a man … unfortch, Zac isn’t the kind of man who can grow the right kind of hot facial hair. Jake Gyllenhaal can do it, Zac cannot. Zacy poo, gods love him, looks a bit like a bandito … it’s not a good look for him. I get that the baby-faced lad may be trying to roughen up his look but this is not the way to do it … maybe he should get a cool scar or something? What do y’all think?

Watch: Paris Hilton, ‘SuperMartXé’

Back in July we learned that Paris Hilton filmed a music video in Ibiza, Spain that was reportedly to be for the first single from the new album she is threatening to release … today we learn that that report was not entirely true. Paris did film a music video in Ibiza but it was not for her new album … it wasn’t even for a song that she performed. The song titled SuperMartXé and is actually performed by Juanjo Martin, Albert Neve & Nalaya and only features Paris dancing around with other party revelers. Here are a few screencaps from the vid:

American socialite and heiress, Paris Hilton hosted a party at Ibiza's biggest superclub Privilege back in July presenting 'The most glamorous and sizzling night of the 2010 summer season'. It was also announced Ms. Hilton would be filming a music video due for release end of August – promoting SuperMartXé weekly parties! She wrote:

“On set of the music video shoot. What an incredible house were shooting at and the weather is just beautiful! I Love Ibiza!’ Later she added: ‘The music video shoot went amazing today! So many incredible dancers and the clothes were so hot! Had so much fun! Can’t wait to see it! :).”

The track from the video is called ‘Supermartxe’ by Juanjo Martin, Albert Neve & Nalaya and is available on iTunes.

Phew! What a relief! The good news is the dreaded new album from Paris Hilton has yet to manifest … tho, the bad news is that a new music video featuring Paris Hilton has been thrust upon us. OY! Yeah, the vid looks about as substantive as I thought it would. In all honesty, it’s a fun video with some hot bodies writhing around in ecstatic glee … sure, the Paris bits aren’t all that revolutionary but the track is meant to be a club jam. I don’t love the video but I don’t hate it either … what do y’all think? Does this video redeem Paris Hilton in your eyes? Any fans in the hiz?

David Beckham Returns To Gameplay For The LA Galaxy

It’s been a very long time since David Beckham suited up to play with his primary professional soccer team the LA Galaxy but this weekend, after about 6 months off the playing field (he most recently played professionally with his European soccer team AC Milan earlier this year) Becks was back in action. Because it was such a joyous event, Becks made himself available to the media last week to talk about his long-awaited return to the Galaxy:


But — yes, while Becks looked all cute and stuff in all his scruffy glory — the time for talk was over and the time for action was finally upon us. Becks played for about 20 minutes of the game this weekend against Columbus and helped the Galaxy secure a 3-1 win:

David Beckham, sidelined six months by injury, made his Major League Soccer season debut for the Los Angeles Galaxy, playing 20 minutes in a 3-1 victory over Columbus. Beckham came in for Juninho in the 70th minute and received loud cheers, his entry bringing some fans at the Galaxy’s Home Depot Center ground to their feet. The 35-year-old former England captain had been sidelined since March 14, when he tore his left achilles tendon while playing on loan for AC Milan. The injury kept Beckham, England’s most-capped outfield player, from playing in his fourth World Cup as he missed the 2010 finals in South Africa. “Being out there felt good,” Beckham said. “I’ve never been out of the game for such a long time.” Doctors had originally estimated Beckham would be ready to return in October, and he was pleased to get back to action sooner. “It has been a quick recovery and I’m happy with that. I thought I was ready for 90 minutes four months ago,” Beckham said. Galaxy coach Bruce Arena said he was impressed with Beckham’s determined rehabilitation. “It’s kind of remarkable that he’s back on the field in such a short period of time,” Arena said. “To put the kind of effort in to come back at his age is inspiring for our players to see. By the end of the season, we want him playing 90 minutes.” Four minutes after he came into the match, Beckham received a yellow card for a reckless foul against Emmanuel Ekpo. But Beckham admitted he was feeling his lack of matches. “After 10 minutes on the field, I thought like I was dying, Beckham said. “But I came through it, felt good after that and finished strong.” Edson Buddle, Dema Kovalenko and Jovan Kirovski scored for the Galaxy, who regained the lead in the MLS Western Conference, three points ahead of Real Salt Lake.

It is totally to be expected for Becks to be a bit stiff, a bit cold after so many months away from the game that he loves so much … but it’s a great sign that he was able to play for the last 20 minutes of the game. Considering that he wasn’t even supposed to make his return to the fields of glory until next month, this is a great sign indeed.

In other Becks news, he spent his time off the soccer field in the company of his 3 young sons who are here in LA with him while wife/mom Victoria Beckham is doing her thang at New York Fashion Week. He's already got an array of lavish cars parked in his garage, so David Beckham decided to splash out on a bicycle instead of adding another to his collection. Becks took his three boys out bike shopping in Santa Monica and sported a new geek chic look in some Clark Kent-inspired spectacles. The former England captain, 35, decided on a red and black single speed race bike, while Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, five, chose brightly coloured BMXs. And while Victoria Beckham, 36, parades her new collection in New York for Fashion Week, the LA Galaxy star was rocking a new look of his own. The glasses gave Becks a distinguished appearance but he kept his outfit casual in rolled up Adidas track pants, a long sleeved white T-shirt and his favourite beanie. While his boys all sported navy blue polo shirts, khaki shorts and trainers. As the stylish family enjoyed the Californian sun, Posh was on the east coast preparing for her Victoria Beckham Spring 2011 show for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Oh yeah, Becks looks real good in these glasses. I’m uncertain as to whether the new spectacles that Becks is wearing are necessary or merely a fashion accessory but you gotta admit, he wears them well … I hope we get to see Becks and his specs more often. So … congrats to the LA Galaxy on their big win this weekend and congrats to Becks for gettin’ back in action sooner than was expected … it’s great to have you back!

Lindsay Lohan Goes Back To Red, Goes Back To NY

Lindsay Lohan, who dyed her hair blonde in the weeks leading up to her incarceration in jail and then, subsequently, in rehab, has decided to get back to her roots and dye her hair red again … she showed off her new old look a couple of days ago on her most recent visit to check in with her probation officer in Santa Monica, CA. Afterward, it is being reported, Lindsay showed up at the Nokia Theater where preparations were underway for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards which is set to air LIVE on MTV tonight at 9pm ET/PT. At first, it was assumed that Lindsay would be attending the VMAs this year but it now sounds like she merely taped a video appearance for the show … because Friday she popped up in NY to visit her family:

She’s been attempting to resurrect her failing career after a stint in prison, followed by a stay in court-ordered rehab. And what better way to step back into the spotlight than at a big awards ceremony? Reports suggest that Lindsay Lohan will make an appearance on stage at tomorrow’s MTV Video Music Awards being held at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Lohan, 24, was spotted at the venue yesterday during rehearsals for the show which is due to include performances by Kanye West, Mary J Blige and Justin Bieber. She will even address, in some manner, her recent news making troubles with the law according to E! Online. Chelsea Handler, who is hosting the awards said this week that she would love for Lohan to be at the ceremony. ‘That would make for a lot of material,’ said the comedienne who has consistently targeted the Lohan family in jokes on her chat show, Chelsea Lately. Lindsay, who has recently reverted back to her original red hair colour, was sentenced to serve 90 days in county jail after violating her probation conditions from a 2007 arrest for driving under the influence. She ended up serving just 13 days before being sent to the UCLA medical center for court ordered residential rehabilitation where she stayed for 23 days. Before heading to the Nokia Theatre for rehearsals Lindsay went to a scheduled appointment with her probation officer where she was expected to carry out a drug urine test at the Santa Monica courthouse.

Yes, all of this VMAs appearance talk was going around BEFORE a new photo was made available by TMZ that shows that Lindsay has already left SoCal and made her way to the East Coast to visit with her family there. Lindsay Lohan is back in New York — and for the first time since she got sprung from jail/rehab … she spent time with her family. Lindsay hasn’t seen her sister Ali, mother Dina or brother Cody since she’s been a free woman. We’re told Lindsay is in town for Dina’s birthday, which is next Wednesday. She posed for this pic — which we got — on Friday after she arrived from Los Angeles. Missing from the family reunion photo: Lohan, Michael (father).

Also missing from the photo is Michael Lohan, Jr. — Lindsay‘s other brother. So … we know that Lindsay showed up at the Nokia Theater last week so she will very likely appear on the VMAs tonight in some capacity … but the fact that she’s already made her way to NY for her mother’s birthday which is next Wednesday suggests that she will prolly NOT fly back to LA to attend the awards show only to fly back to NY for her mom’s birthday … tho it is possible that she may only be allowed to be in NY for the weekend and may still fly back in time to attend the VMAs. I think it was very generous of Lohan‘s probation officer to give her leave of California so that she can visit with her family in NY for a few days. I am also comforted by the fact that Lindsay went back to her natural hair color … she always seemed better behaved as a red head. Well NY, L. Lo is your prob for the next few days … good luck.

Taylor Swift Will Sing A Song About Kanye West At The 2010 MTV VMAs

Last week Kanye West emerged from a self-induced seclusion from the spotlight to address the childish behavior he exhibited at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards last year. As you may recall, Kanye stormed the stage as Taylor Swift was being presented with her award for Best Female Video in order to decry her win and declare that Beyoncé should’ve been the artist to win the award (an event that was so talked about last year that even President Barack Obama called Kanye a “jackass” as a result). As the 2010 MTV VMAs approached, Kanye thought it the right time to apologize to Taylor Swift for his actions and to announce that he has written a song for her … then rumors started to swirl that Taylor and Kanye would, in some capacity, share the stage at the MTV VMAs (which air LIVE on MTV tonight). Well, I’m hearing that that reunion will actually NOT take place (according to MTV producers) but Kanye‘s interruption of Taylor‘s moment will be addressed on stage … cuz Taylor Swift is going to sing her own song about it:

Be warned, Kanye: Taylor Swift has written a song about you, and she’s singing it at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. The country superstar’s win for best female video last year was marred when Kanye West got on stage and said it should have gone to Beyoncé. Swift wrote a song about the experience earlier this year, and a source familiar with the show said Saturday the 20-year-old will sing the new song at the VMAs, which will be aired live on MTV. The source did not want to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter. The song is on Swift’s upcoming album “Speak Now,” due out in October. The source said Swift performed it during a secret rehearsal in Los Angeles for the VMAs on Friday. Though the West-Swift moment only lasted but a few minutes, it has endured for what seems to be a lifetime. It became a cultural watershed moment and gave West the most intense backlash of his career, despite an apology delivered later. He dropped out of the spotlight, and last week on Twitter, said that he endured death wishes, had to cancel a tour and let go of employees. He again apologized to Swift and said he wrote a song for her and hoped she would sing it – and if not, he would perform it for her. But instead, Swift will be singing her own song. Kanye Bares All on Twitter: ‘I Wrote a Song for Taylor Swift’ The Grammy-winner is known for writing intensely personal songs, and skewering a few former boyfriends along the way. After initially expressing her hurt, Swift has avoided addressing the matter. West will also be a performer at the awards show; both are nominees. It’s not clear what song he will sing. Though there was anticipation of possible fireworks related to last year with West’s performance, Swift’s song all but guarantees it.

Ah yes … it’s MTV VMAs time again … and, because it happens every year, you can count on the fact that something will happen on that stage that will set tongues wagging for days afterward. That Kanye/Taylor thing that took place last year was such a big deal, it seemed to go on forever … and now, here we are, a year later ready to drag it back from the dead again. To be fair, I think Taylor Swift does deserve her moment to have the final say on the matter … but, it’s really time to move on. Undoubtedly, some new interesting event will take place tonight LIVE as MTV airs the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards and then we can obsess about that for the next few days. I will be on the red carpet and in the hiz at the Nokia Theater here in downtown LA tonight for the really big show … I cannot wait to see what will go down.
