Award Winning Director Lee Daniels' Sister BUSTED For Stashing Guns After Drug Bust!

Everybody's got a family member they wish they could hide from the public eye.  And the Oscar nominated director of Precious, Lee Daniels, is no dfferent.  News on Lee's sister, Leah Daniels-Butler, getting loaded up with charges for stashing guns and cash during her husband's drug bust when you read on...

Lee Daniels' sister, Leah, was just released on $50,000 bail and ordered to wear an ankle monitor after getting charged with obstructing a federal investigation.  Leah--who was the casting genius behind discovering Gabourey Sidibe--rode hard for her husband and hid tons of cash and guns while he was getting hemmed up in a drug bust.

Cops have been survellaincing Leah and her husband, Henry Butler's, home after they realized Henry was dealing drugs.  When they saw Leah scurry away from the California home shortly after the drug bust with a suspicious bag, she was stopped.  Several loaded hardcore handguns and boxes of ammunition were all found in the bag along with $39,500 in cash.  Damn!

According to the NY Daily News:

Daniels-Butler's husband, Henry (Black) Butler, has been under investigation by the feds for alleged drug dealing.

He was arrested last month near his home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and charged with transporting significant quantities of cocaine from Los Angeles to New York.

Shortly after his arrest, officers from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department placed his home under surveillance while federal prosecutor Todd Kaminsky tried to arrange a search of the premises.

That's when officers saw his 44-year-old wife leave the home, carrying at least one bag, and drive away in a Mercedes-Benz.

They stopped the luxury sedan and she consented to a search, according to an affidavit filed by Drug Enforcement Administration agent Steven Miller.

A loaded 9-mm. handgun, an unloaded Intratec Tec-9 handgun, several loaded magazines and boxes of ammunition were found in the bag along with $39,500 in cash.

"There is probable cause to believe that the items recovered from the Leah Daniels-Butler vehicle were evidence of Henry Butler's drug trafficking," Miller stated.

Lee is already taking care of his brother's two kids as his own.  Damn homie....

LL Cool J's ten year old daughter Nina claims to be the rapper/actor's biggest fan. She interviewed her father about his show 'NCIS', their favorites movies, and asked about her reward for getting all A's on her report cards:

Nina: Daddy, I love Miley Cyrus. What's your favorite song of hers?
LL: "Party in the USA." It's a real fun song. I just wish my name were in it.

Nina: I love to watch you on TV. Do you ever get scared to do that action stuff on NCIS?

LL: I actually enjoy it — you just can't be Mr. Macho. I do about 90 percent of my own stunts, and the things I can't do for insurance reasons, like swinging out of a flying helicopter, I wouldn't want to do anyway.

Nina: So what's your favorite movie?

LL: Star Wars.

Nina: My favorite movie right now is Dinner for Schmucks.

LL: I can't believe it. I can't believe my daughter is saying schmucks.

Nina: If I get all A's on my report card this year, do I get a present?

LL: I expect you to get all A's. Why would I get you a present?

Nina: Daaaad, that's my question — you're supposed to answer it! I'd like an iPad, a new phone, or a puppy. So what would it be?

LL: I think it's obvious we grew up in different neighborhoods. I would take you out for ice cream.

 

Cute.  LL Cool J has two other kids as well, Najee who is 21, and Italia who is 20. Since Willow Smith is beginning her singing career at 9, it may be time for his reporter/daughter Nina to start her future career also....

Last night was one of the biggest charity events on the NY social calendar--the 2010 New Yorkers For Children Fall Gala.  We've got the YBF folks who hit Cipriani's for the event when you go inside...

Kanye West hit the red carpet.  He also tweeted about how amazing it was to hear all of the children's moving stories last night. Loving this tux 'Ye.

Model Veronica Webb was there as well in a long blue gown.

Designer Rachel Roy and Veronica Webb posed together on the red carpet.  Can't say that I'm feeling Rachel's look.  Looks like 3 different outfits for 3 different events thrown together into one.

Keith Bulluck of the New York Giants helped raise money for the event.

And Estelle whipped out her black and white watercolored dress to perform at the gala.  She later Tweeted about how hilarious the kiddies were dancing to her music.  Sweet.

Bishop Eddie Long Accused Of Coercing Young Male Church Members Into Sex?!

Foolery is rampant in "the church"....again.  The well-known and well-respected Atlanta area spiritual figure, Bishop Eddie Long, has just been slapped with a lawsuit by young male members of his church who allege the Bishop has coerced them into sexual acts.

The senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, which boasts over 30,000 members, has been accused of taking advantage of young males in the church.

Anthony Flagg, a 21-year-old church member, claims in this recent lawsuit that Bishop Eddie Long used his spiritual authority to coerce him into partaking in sexual acts.  According to CNN:

The suits, filed Tuesday in DeKalb County, Georgia, allege that Long used his position as a spiritual authority and bishop to coerce young male members and employees of his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church into sex.

Long took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, to overnight trips to a half dozen American cities, Flagg's suit alleges.

"Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact," the suit says.

Wow.  The plaintiffs have asked for an unspecified amount of damages, and accuse Bishop Long of negligence and breach of fiduciary duty, amongst other things.  The Bishop and his spokesman deny all allegations saying:

"We categorically deny the allegations.  It is very unfortunate that someone has taken this course of action.  Our law firm will be able to respond once attorneys have had an opportunity to review the lawsuit."

The young men, Maurice Robinson and Anthony Flagg, claim in the lawsuit that they were 17 and 18-years-old when the sexual coercion occured.  They also said the church knew about the Bishop's actions, but ignored them:

Lawyers for the two men painted a picture of widespread corruption and sexual misconduct. They said Bishop Long had provided the men with free hotel stays in more than a dozen cities around the country (checking them into rooms under the alias “Dick Tracy”) and had given them gifts, including a Mustang. They said he had introduced them to celebrities like the producer Tyler Perry and the actor Chris Tucker.

A lawyer for the men, Brenda Joy Bernstein, said officials at the church had known that the sexual acts were occurring but covered up for Bishop Long. “They would do everything to protect the most powerful church in the Southeast,” she said.

Well this ought to get interesting.  Hide ya kids...hide ya wife...hide ya husband...

Oh what a difference a year makes.  Once vilified by the media and 'former' fans...Kanye West seems to be back in the good graces of his millions.  He's recently scored a gig with "SNL" and has a possible tour with 50 Cent coming up.  Read on for the deets...

Kanye West fans will be please to learn the Hip-hop superstar will be the musical guest on the late night sketch comedy show on October 2nd, joining host Bryan Cranston from “Breaking Bad.”  Interesting since in his track "Power", he said "F--- 'SNL' and the whole cast. Tell 'em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass."

Guess they're doing just that.  I'll be watching...

And in other 'Ye news, the internet streets are buzzing that he and 50 Cent may strike out on a European tour together.  I guess we will have to wait on confirmation from both camps for that.  Or at least until 50 Cent logs onto twitter with a rant-a-la-50.
