Lourdes Maria Continues To Get Schooled

Earlier this month we saw photos of Madonna‘s eldest child Lourdes Maria as she enjoyed her first day of school at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts … more commonly known as LaGuardia Arts aka the Fame school. Today we check in on Lola as she made her way home from school last week lookin’ about as normal as any kid walking home from school would look:


See, my problem with this is false advertising … I used to watch Fame way back in the 80′s and I distinctly remember that all of the students at the Fame school would sing and dance on cafeteria tables, desks and even cars out on the street. Lola is just walking home … no singing, no dancing … I don’t even think she is humming. I don’t know, y’all … I’m thinkin’ an education at the Fame school ain’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

Jake Gyllenhaal & Anne Hathaway Do ‘W’ Magazine

On Sunday we got to check out the sexy new poster for the new romantic comedy Love and Other Drugs starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway and today we get to see a photo published in the new issue of W magazine that features Jake and Anne in bed on the set of their new film. Unfortch, everyone is fully dressed and there is not one iota of sexiness in the photo at all:


I’m not gonna lie … my heart is still CRUSHED that that really sexy, mostly-nekkid photo of Jake Gyllenhaal that I thought was a promo image from the film turned out to be a fake. I’m not gonna lie, I tried to live with the fantasy that the Jakey photo was real but … alas, I had to let the dream go. It doesn’t help matters very much that this new photo is the furthest thing from sexy that you could as for from our dear Jake but … at least it’s something. I’m just hoping that Jake‘s promise to Jimmy Kimmel that he “bares almost all” in the film will turn out to be true … I just don’t think my fragile little heart can take any more disappointment.

David & Victoria Beckham Are Joined At The Hip

When David Beckham isn’t sneaking out after dark to get his body rubbed by strangers, he’s bizzy hanging out with the love of his life … wifey Victoria Beckham. Just a few days ago, Les Beckhams enjoyed another family outing with the kiddies (for the second day in a row) and as you can see from the following photo, Becks and Posh were very literally joined at the hip for most of the day:

After running all over New York in binding leather trousers and towering 6-inch heels during Fashion Week, even stiletto-lover Victoria Beckham was relieved to ditch the Louboutins for a casual family outing on Sunday. But the ever-stylish designer found herself having a wardrobe crisis when faced with dressing down, tweeting ‘what to wear?’ to her followers before watching her son Brooklyn play football. The 36-year-old decided on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt with the slogan ‘what comes around goes around’. She could not resist adding a touch of glamour to the outfit though, donning a pair of sunglasses from her own collection and a Louis Vuitton fox tail bag.

Yes, her Poshness cannot simply step out in a t-shirt and jeans without adding a bit of fashion flare to jazz up the outfit. You might be surprised to learn that her LV bag, the Louis Vuitton Monogram Denim Sunrise bag, costs $2,640 while the Louis Vuitton Fox Tail charm is priced at $1,120. You might also be surprised to learn that the bag and charm are not new … she’s been using them since November of last year. In any event, the couple sure do look happy to be spending so much time together, don’t they? Gotta love dem Beckhams.

She might be busy dodging pregnancy rumors, but there's one 'baby' in Mariah Carey's life that she's more than happy to own up to. The diva has just announced the launch of a new lifestyle collection for shopping network HSN. Debuting on the channel on November 29, the collection will include footwear, jewelry and fragrance, WWD reports. And while all the details on the collaboration are still forthcoming, Mariah's line will feature jewelry that ranges from $40 to $200, including pieces that incorporate her signature butterfly motif. Shoes will start at $70 and top out at $170. The final piece of the Mimi puzzle will be a limited-edition version of her Lucscious Pink fragrance.

Ker-ching! Mariah Carey is deffo going to be making mo’ money, mo’ money, mo’ money with this new HSN collection. If there is one thing you can count on, it’s that a celeb who peddles their wares on either HSN or QVC is bound to make oodles of cash. And even tho shopping on HSN isn’t really my thing, I am really looking forward to seeing Mimi on the Home Shopping Network. That’s a sight that I most definitely do NOT want to miss. David, The Birthday Boy

Yesterday was a very fun day for David and me as we spent most of the day hanging out here at home before we went out last night for a nice romantical dinner at The Bazaar restaurant inside the SLS Hotel. Before dinner, I presented David with his very own birthday cake and musical candle:


There were a few other surprises … and then DINNER. We’ve been talking about checking out The Bazaar for a few months now so last night was the perfect opportunity. The decor reminded us a lot of XIV, another fave restaurant of ours. The food was just fantastic … the menu is pretty much all tapas but let me tell you … they were DELICIOUS little bites of food. My faves were the gourmet “Philly Cheesesteak” and the Japanese taco … David was all about the Cotton Candy Foie Gras (which he insists was delicious, I didn’t try it because I really hate foie gras). All in all, we had a very nice yesterday … ’twas very nice indeed.

Tonight, we’ve been invited to a private concert here in LA that is supposed to be a surprise or something? I’m not sure but I’ll try and snap as many photos as possible if we end up going. Hope your Tuesday is a happy one!!

Lindsay Lohan & Crew Roam The Streets Of Venice

Right around the time yesterday that an arrest warrant was issued for Lindsay Lohan, who famously failed 2 court-ordered drug tests leading to the revocation of her probation from charges stemming from her 2007 DUI conviction, L. Lo and her peeps (including her brother Michael Lohan, Jr. and rumored girlfriend Eilat Anschel) were out roaming the streets of Venice, CA doing whatever it is that Lindsay likes to do in the daytime. We know that she likes going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings at night but it appears that L. Lo was lookin’ to soak up some sun yesterday while she still can … after all, she may be sent back to jail for a 30-day stint in just a few short days:


According to the terms of her probation, Lindsay should be forced back into jail for 30 days because she failed her court-mandated drug tests … but it’s possible that the ruling judge in her case, Judge Elden Fox, might sentence her to a lesser term … or not at all. I’m not entirely sure how much leniency Judge Fox has in the matter but I’m sure there is a way for him to punish her in some other way … like by sending her rehab again. I, personally, think she needs to go back to jail … just like anyone else. But, if she is sent back to rehab I certainly hope she isn’t sent back to the morons at the UCLA Medical Center. They’re the ones who decided to let let her out early and, well, look what happened. My suggestion to Lindsay would be to enjoy the sunshine while you still can … you may be going away — somewhere — for a very long time.

Orlando Bloom Surfaces on The Set Of ‘The Three Musketeers’

Orlando Bloom, newlywed and soon-to-be dad, surfaced on the set of his new film and despite what you may think by looking at his costume he is NOT starring in a biopic on the life of Adam Lambert. No, Orlando is one of the 3 main stars in the upcoming remake The Three Musketeers. Here are photos of Orlando (and new wife Miranda Kerr) on set in Germany this week:

His on-screen character, the Duke of Buckingham, is probably more accustomed to the ink and parchment style of communication. But on the set of the Three Musketeers in Germany today, Orlando Bloom took things right up to date as he got a technological fix. The actor was spotted sending messages on his Blackberry phone, which made for an odd sight with him dressed in full 17th century costume. The Pirates of the Caribbean star plays the Duke of Buckingham alongside Christoph Waltz and Milla Jovovich in the new film directed by Paul W Anderson. Last week the 33-year-old father-to-be was delighted after his new wife Miranda Kerr joined him on the Wuerzburg set for a quick kiss and a hug. The smiling pair hugged and kissed in a break from shooting, with Bloom at one point whispering into 27-year-old Kerr’s ear. Bloom expressed his happiness at the baby news during a Munich photo call for the movie back in August. ‘I’m really excited about it, it’s great,’ he said, referring to the fact that he could be away for much of Kerr’s pregnancy. ‘I’ll go home as often as possible. She’ll come out here too.’ The Victoria’s Secret Model has previously had that she has always wanted to be a mother. ‘I've always thought Orlando would be a great dad,’ she said.

To be honest, I’ve never been a fan of the Three Musketeers tale … it’s just one of those classics that never captured my interest. In all honesty, I can’t say that casting Orlando Bloom in the film is going to make me want to see this film at all … but I’m sure Bloom will do a fine job in the film. He seems to do well in period costume piece films so this looks right up his alley.

Nicole Richie Celebrates Her 29th Birthday & Bacheloretteness In Mexico With Her BFFs

Birthday Lurve goes out to Nicole Richie today as she celebrates her 29th birthday. Nicole and a few of her closest BFFs, including superstar DJ Samantha Ronson and singer Christina Aguilera, have made their way down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for an extended celebration this week … which is where the ladies will be celebrating today:

Nicole Richie made sure to celebrate the final year of her twenties with a bang, by flying down to Mexico with her celebrity friends. As she turned 29 today, Richie partied with pals Christina Aguilera and Lindsay Lohan's on-off lover Samantha Ronson. But the bash in Cabo wasn't as wild as some of her previous parties and the mother-of-two looked to be having a relaxing trip by the beach. And her own birthday came just a couple of weeks after her son Sparrow's first birthday, which she and partner Joel Madden celebrated at home with around 50 guests. Despite having had a wild reputation in the past for her partying and arrest for possession of illegal substances, these days Richie is more likely to be found spending time with Madden, Sparrow and their daughter Harlow, two. On the beach, the style icon hid her bikini body under a sheer purple kaftan. While fellow mother Christina Aguilera was barely recognisable in purple track pants, oversized sunglasses and a low riding hat … And Sam Ronson also dressed down for the casual occasion in baggy jeans and a loose red T-shirt.

It has been suggested that this summit of Nicole‘s female BFFs is actually a secret bachelorette party for a possible upcoming wedding (which, very conveniently, could be masked under the guise of Nicole‘s 29th birthday) but there has been no official word that this is actually the case. I would be remiss if I didn’t express my personal belief that it is quite possible that this holiday in Cabo is serving more than one purpose … but, with that being said, I think it’s important to focus on Nicole‘s birthday today and worry about the other speculation for another day. Let’s send all of our Birthday Lurve to Nicole today and our very best wishes for a great celebration in Mexico … no matter what the ladies may be celebrating ;)

UPDATE: Pink reader Lilian gave me the head’s up that the cat is out of the bag … Nicole and her lady friends did, in fact, celebrate her bachelortte party over the weekend together in Mexico. After the jump, check out the t-shirt that Xtina was wearing that confirms that fact …

Simon Barney, From ‘The Real Housewives Of Orange County’, Busted!

Reality TV fans of the original Housewives series on Bravo TV The Real Housewives of Orange County might be interested in knowing that real househusband Simon Barney was just arrested on charges of domestic battery after he was involved in an incident with his estranged wife and RHOOC star Tamra Barney. Fans of the series will know that Simon and Tamra have been embroiled in a bitter divorce for some time now (at least since the last season of the show) and during a meeting yesterday to transfer guardianship of the couple’s dog, the alleged “battery” occurred … read on for all the deets:

“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Tamra Barney’s estranged husband was arrested this morning on suspicion of domestic battery, according to law enforcement sources. TMZ obtained Simon Barney’s mug shot. He’s in the process of divorcing Tamra, and sources tell us they were arguing over their dog when Simon allegedly threw the dog’s leash at Tamra and hit her wrist. Sources say Tamra called the police. Simon is still in custody … he’s being held on $10,000 bail.

If you watched the series from the beginning, like me, then you might remember how much in love Simon and Tamra SEEMED to be for quite a while. Once the family started to suffer because they could no longer enjoy their outrageously extravagant lifestyle, the cracks started to show and the couple’s relationship imploded … on national TV. I’m not at all surprised to hear that things have gotten so bitter between Simon and Tamra that she would have him arrested for slapping her wrist with a dog leash. And, to be honest, I’m really looking forward to watching this drama unfold on the upcoming season of RHOOC Yesterday we learned that Real Housewives of New Jersey hubby Joe Guidice turned himself into police to begin serving a 10 day jail sentence and now we’ve got Real Housewives of Orange County hubby Simon Barney in jail here on the West Coast. You gotta hand it to Bravo TV, they really hit the jackpot when they decided to feature these kinds of people on national television.

Paris Hilton Flees To Japan, Gets Detained Upon Arrival [UPDATE]

Yesterday morning we learned that Paris Hilton managed to plea bargain her way out of serving any jailtime for her recent cocaine possession arrest when she appeared in open court in Las Vegas, NV. Today we learn that as soon as Paris was adjourned from court, she boarded a private plane and flew her ass to Tokyo, Japan. But, I understand, upon arrival, Paris was taken into custody by Japanese immigration officials and was held for about 5 hours before she was allowed entry into the country:


The rest of Paris‘s entourage, including her less famous and more insignificant sister Nicky Hilton, were immediately allowed entry into Japan … but Paris, well, it sounds like the immigration folks wanted to have a few words with her. My guess is that because of Paris‘s very widespread notoriety, the immigration officials in Japan wanted to make sure that she was completely clean of any illegal substances before they let her into their country. I would assume that Paris Hilton was squeaky clean because after her 5 hour detention she was allowed entry into the country. It’s not entirely clear how long Miss Hilton will be in Japan but I certainly hope she behaves herself while she’s a guest in their country.

UPDATE: Paris Hilton has issued a statement via her press rep concerning her detainment by Japanese immigration officials. Find out what she’s got to say, after the jump …

“Paris Hilton was delayed by immigration authorities at a Japanese airport this evening after arriving for business obligations planned many months earlier. Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn’t want to let down her brands and many Asian fans. She intended on fulfilling her contract and is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control. She is very disappointed by tonight’s events.”

I’m sure the immigration officials who were forced to spend 5 hours questioning Paris Hilton about her most recent drug conviction were also disappointed that they had to waste so much time and energy on her but, such is life. It’s about time Paris understands what it’s like to be a pariah … she is now a known drug convict. She needs to get used to that fact.

Watch: Jennifer Aniston On ‘Cougar Town’

In August we got confirmation that former Friends co-star and real life Courteney Cox-Arquette BFF Jennifer Aniston would be appearing in the season 2 premiere ep of Cougar Town. Just a few weeks ago we got our first look at Jen on the set of CT when the first batch of promo pics and the first trailer from the second season of the show were released. Today we get our first look at Jen in action with Courteney on the show in a new preview clip from the season 2 premiere ep which airs tomorrow night on ABC:


LMAO!! I seriously laughed out loud 3 times while watching this clip … it’s easy to see how the chemistry between Courtney and Jen is still very much intact and I cannot wait to see the pair in action on tomorrow night’s episode. I really loved when Lisa Kudrow gusted on Cougar Town last season and I know I’m gonna love seeing Jennifer Aniston in the upcoming second season … this clip is proof positive.
