Spiritual Sons Or Sex Slaves? Fourth Claimant Says Bishop Eddie Long Gave Him Ambien, Bought Him A Car And Forbid Him To Have Girlfriends! Posted: 25 Sep 2010 10:34 AM PDT Yesterday we told you that the number of potential claimants ready to file suit about Bishop Eddie Long was rising, and sure enough, before the day was over a fourth plaintiff stepped forward in the case. The details were already sordid enough but some of the things alleged by Spencer LeGrande, the fourth young man to file suit against Bishop Eddie Long, are absolutely mindblowing!!! When news broke Tuesday that Bishop Eddie Long was being accused of coercing two young men into sexual acts and sodomy while on trips, that was shocking in itsef! But even the freaky cell phone pics and “Dick Tracy” alias didn’t prepare us for the allegations by Spencer LeGrange, the fourth young man to file suit against Long. Like some of the others, LeGrande was in his early teens when the pastor reportedly began laying groundwork for his seduction: Spencer LeGrande was 15 when he met Long, the suit alleges. LeGrande and his mother were among the founding members of Long’s satellite church in Charlotte, N.C., Bernstein told the AJC. Their first meeting was an emotional one, according to the suit. LeGrande, moved by one of Long’s sermons, approached the pastor and began to cry. Long hugged the 15-year-old, assuring him, “I got you” … “I will be your dad,” the suit states. Soon after they began talking regularly by phone. “Long would become angry if LeGrande failed to call Long on a frequent basis,” according to the suit. LeGrande alleges the bishop told him to call me “dad.” Like two of the other young men claiming Long coerced them into having sex, LeGrande’s father was not actively involved in the youth’s life. “[LeGrande] would call [Long] dad in front of me,” Spencer’s father, Eddie LeGrande, told the AJC Friday. “That would hurt me.” He acknowledged rarely seeing his son but said their relationship began to mend when the boy was 11. But eventually, the elder LeGrande said, Long drove a wedge between father and son. “He was doing all these things for him. I couldn’t compete,” said Eddie LeGrande, adding he had no clue of his son’s alleged sexual relationship with the bishop. But looking back, he said, “There were red flags.” Eddie LeGrande said he rarely saw his son after the teen left North Carolina for Atlanta. Long encouraged the move following a second trip to Kenya, the suit alleges. LeGrande agreed, abandoning a potential college basketball career to attend Beulah Heights University. That’s hella foul! He had that boy calling him DADDY in front of his real daddy??? SMH. If this turns out to be true, Long is truly an evil individual. According to the suit, it was during a 2005 trip to Kenya, when LeGrande was only 17, that their sexual relationship began: LeGrande alleges in a civil suit filed Friday in DeKalb County that Long gave him an Ambien, a popular prescription sleep aid, followed by a “prolonged hug,” kissing and rubbing, according to the suit. The suit claims the two shared a bed for the remainder of their trip. Guess “Jesus Juice” wasn’t enough for Long to set the mood right, he had to get ol’ boy drowsy so he could have his way with him. Now here’s the part where it got really crazy to us. After giving up his potential college basketball career to go to school in Georgia, LeGrande basically became a “kept” boy: LeGrande, who says he was showered with gifts, including a Dodge Intrepid, was expected to “have no girlfriends.” In return his tuition and expenses at Beulah were covered, the suit alleges. The freshman college student was allowed to live, rent-free, in the Harwell House, owned by another New Birth minister. After a few months, LeGrande was moved into a church-owned community center on Parsons Road. The suit alleges the two had sex in that home along with other church properties, including the bishop’s private office. Their relationship crumbled in early 2009 as LeGrande became “disillusioned and confused by Long's actions and began pulling away from [the bishop],” according to the suit. Around that time, LeGrande dropped out of Beulah University and sought to distance himself from his spiritual mentor. “From the Spring of 2009 up through October 2009, Long continued to contact LeGrande,” the suit states. He wasn’t ALLOWED TO HAVE GIRLFRIENDS!!!! WTF??? And having sex in Church properties? How has this man not been struck down by lightning already? In the meantime, Long had a conference call Friday continuing to cry innocent but refusing to answer any questions. Wonder why? Long, during a Friday conference call with supporters, said he was “under attack,” WGCL-TV reports. “We will arise through this situation, and go forward, and we are moving forward,” WGLC quotes Long. The station reports that Long said he had to watch his words because of the lawsuits. The popular Lithonia pastor did not take questions and asked his followers to pray for his wife, four children and his church, New Birth Missionary Baptist. “I have never dealt with anything like this before,” Long told them, as reported by WGCL-TV, which monitored the conference call. Pitt Football Player Chokes Out Girlfriend After She Tells Him She’s Pregnant Posted: 25 Sep 2010 09:00 AM PDT A freshman member of the Pitt football team has been released from the team after choking and beating on a woman he’d been involved with after she informed him she was pregnant. SMH. Thursday Panthers reserve defensive back Jeffrey Knox went before a city magistrate, facing charges that he beat up a woman at Chatham University after she told him she was pregnant. According to a criminal complaint in the Knox case, Donna Turner, who told police she was Knox’s friend, called Knox Wednesday night to tell him that she was pregnant and needed to speak with him. She asked him to meet her at Chatham University. The complaint did not indicate whether Turner is a student there. Knox’s cousin drove with him to meet Turner at a Chatham University dormitory. Knox and Turner argued outside of the car and were “screaming at each other.” Turner told police she tried to hit Knox and he retaliated with an open palm to the head “with such force that she was thrown to the ground.” Knox jumped on top of her, put his hands around her neck and lifted her by her throat. He slammed her head against a wall and held her there by the throat. Police said two Chatham students standing nearby ran to Turner’s aid. Knox attacked them, throwing punches and knocking them to the ground. Police said Knox’s unnamed cousin tried to pull him from Turner, but the cousin “was thrown away by Knox also.” Knox was eventually pulled off Turner, and he and his cousin fled by car. Knox was arraigned on charges of recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and simple assault. He was released on non-monetary bond and faces a preliminary hearing Sept. 28 DAYUM… Son was choking out a pregnant woman??? CRAZY!!! What the hell was he thinking. A kid definitely would have complicated things for his football career — but now he has no football career at all. And it seems that he isn’t alone when it comes to bonehead activity. Several fellow Pitt players have had also been arrested already this season. Offensive lineman Keith Coleman and running back Jason Douglas were also arrested this month and are suspended from the team. Defensive end Jabaal Sheard did not miss any games after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct following a July fight in Pittsburgh. Among the other players with legal difficulties, Douglas faces perhaps the most serious charges. The backup tailback was arrested after witnesses told police a motorist hit a pedestrian on the city’s bar-filled South Side about 1:40 a.m. on Sept. 12. The pedestrian was hospitalized with head and neck injuries. “Hey, I play for Pitt football,” Douglas told officers, according to a police complaint and affidavit. “Please don’t arrest me.” He faces a preliminary hearing in Pittsburgh City Court Oct. 28 on charges including vehicular aggravated assault and drunken driving. Coleman, 20, also has an Oct. 28 court date to face charges including aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. Pittsburgh police said Coleman fought with a man after he spoke with two women, angering their male companions. In August, Wannstedt decided not to suspend Sheard after he apologized and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for throwing a man through an art gallery’s glass door during a July 18 fight. Sheard was fined $300 and otherwise disciplined by the team, although Wannstedt didn’t disclose how. SMH at Douglas pulling the “I play football” card with one-time. Source 1 Source 2
