According to TMZ reports Dourdan owes one company nearly $100,000. And since their attempts to get the money from him has yielded nothing, they’re heading to court.
Do you remember Gary’s breakout role as Shazza Zulu on A Different World? The man has been acting steadily for almost 20 years. Why would he not pay a credit card bill? We’re sure he can’t possibly think he’s that big of a star that he doesn’t need to pay bills? And cash advances. You know what that sounds like to us? | Famous African-American Televangelists: Where God and Business Meet Posted: 23 Sep 2010 07:44 PM PDT The Christian church assumes a complex role in the lives of African-Americans. On one hand, it's a place to soak in the word of God and connect with one's spirituality. On the other hand, it can, at times, represent a place of hypocrisy.This week, megachurch leader, Bishop Eddie Long made headlines due to accusations of past sexual abuse by at least three men. The news made headlines of course because Long is essentially a celebrity. He's a man who's garnered notoriety for his televised sermons and his leadership of one of the many mega-churches strewn across the country. It's safe to say that Long looks like the stereotypical televangelist; one who bestows the word of God but dons the lifestyle of a flashy millionaire. Being a televangelist takes much more than knowing your Bible. It's about on-screen charisma and business sense. Just ask the king of televangelists, Joel Olstein, who's amassed a fortune as America's go to preacher. We've included a short list of African-American televangelists who've managed to achieve fame and business success by building a brand amongst churchgoers. | Naturi Naughton Set To ‘Integrate’ The Next Episode Of AMC’s “Mad Men” Posted: 23 Sep 2010 04:08 PM PDT Naturi Naughton is one courageous entertainer — first she braved being the only chocolate girl in color-struck girl group 3LW, then she bared it all playing Lil Kim in Notorious, then she took on a role in a (how dare they) re-make of Fame. This time she is guest starring in one of television’s most popular (and white) shows “Mad Men”! We gotta give it to you girl, that’s a great look! Especially since Naturi won’t be playing a maid or an elevator operator. We’ve watched more than a few eps of “Mad Men” and can count the number of black people we’ve seen on the show on one hand — the Draper’s (now Harrises) housekeeper Carla, the elevator operator Hollis and Paul’s girlfriend Sharon — who disappeared after dumping him at a Civil Rights march. Granted, the show is currently set in the ’60′s at an advertising firm. Not the most integrated of societies! Especially back then. Tune in this Sunday September 26th at 10pm to see Naturi in her new guest role.

| Court Plays Tapes Of Buju Banton Talking Drug Deals, Tasting Cocaine Posted: 23 Sep 2010 01:31 PM PDT Buju Banton was seen shaking his head in court Wednesday after prosecution provided potentially damning evidence of the reggae star discussing drug deals and footage of him tasting cocaine. As previously reported, Banton was arrested last December after police say he conspired to buy more than five kilograms of cocaine from an undercover police officer.
