Britney Spears & Jason Trawick Together Again In SoCal

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 02:15 PM PDT

Yay!! Britwick Lives!! When last we saw photos of Britney Spears and her hot man Jason Trawick, they were making their way back to SoCal after an extended 2-week vacation together in Hawaii. It is my understanding that Jason accompanied Britney and her sons to Disneyland a week later but Britwick were not photographed together. Today, after a few weeks of not being seeing together, Britney and Jason stepped out here in SoCal yesterday to do a bit of shopping together:

Wee … it’s good to see Britwick out and about together again … even if Jason looks a bit stressed out in that last photo. At least we know where Britwick will be tonight … they’ll be home in front of the TV to watch the Britney Spears Episode of Glee on Fox. As you may recall, Britney announced yesterday that she will be tweeting along with the West Coast broadcast of the ep tonight … which should be really fun. I cannot WAIT!!

Seal & Heidi Klum Get Sexy & Naked In His New Music Video

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 02:01 PM PDT

US Weekly brings us hot new photos of happily marrieds Seal and Heidi Klum posing all nekkid and lovey in the music video for his new single Secret, set to premiere tomorrow … but today, we get our first look at their real life music video lurve:

Who says things don’t get hotter after marriage? Seal and Heidi Klum bare all — in bed! — in the video for his single "Secret" (off his album Seal 6: Commitment, out Tuesday) — and UsMagazine.com has your first peek! Klum, 37, tells Us that it didn't take much acting: "It’s the story of two people in love. My husband is what I always wanted and never thought I would have.” Adds Seal, 47, “The song, the movie, it’s the story of our love” … “I feel so lucky to have found my husband especially at the time when I did,” Klum tells Us. “He is both what I always wanted and never thought I would have.”

Lawd … these two really know how to keep it hot. Heidi, always one looking for an excuse to pose nekkid in front of the cameras, is one hot mama … Seal is a very, very lucky man. To be honest, Seal‘s music is totally not my thing (he lost me back at Kiss from a Rose from the Batman Forever soundtrack) but I am really looking forward to seeing this video in full. I wonder how hot things get between these two in the vid?

Johnny Depp Gets Back Into Character

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 01:42 PM PDT

Yesterday we played a little game of Guess Who with Johnny Depp and his braids and today we get to see new photos of Depp in costume as Captain Jack Sparrow on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides:

Even tho we got our first look at Johnny as Jack back in early July, these new photos show that production is in full-swing. I’m sure it won’t be long before we get to see official promo photos and posters with a teaser trailer likely ready for release by Xmas. Yo Ho Ho, bitches … here we go again.

Lindsay Lohan Has Checked Herself In to Rehab

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 01:01 PM PDT

Yesterday we got our first look at troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan out in public for the first time since she was released from jail late Friday night … as you may recall, she showed up at a shelter here in Los Angeles to pose for photos while she, in fine humanitarian form, handed out free purses from her 6126 clothing line. You may also recall that word started going around last weekend that L. Lo might finally be read to go to rehab — of her own volition — in order to try and clean up her act. Today, TMZ reports that Lindsay has done just that … she has admitted herself today to a live-in rehab program outside of LA:

Lindsay Lohan is in a live-in rehab facility … TMZ has learned. We told you yesterday … Lindsay was checking into a Southern California rehab facility. Well she’s now there. The plan is for Lindsay to stay at least until the next court hearing on October 22.

All joking and sniping aside, let’s just hope that Lindsay is finally ready to get the help that she needs and the rehab facility she is in right now is the place that will give her the help she desperately needs.

Young Love Sucks

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 12:43 PM PDT

As I mentioned earlier, my friend Josh and I were kindly invited to attend the LA premiere of the suspense/horror remake Let Me In (based on the original Swedish film Låt Den Rätte Komma In) which we were both very excited to see:

Josh was excited because he is a fan of the original Swedish film and I was excited because I had only heard amazing things about the film. I am very pleased to say that IMHO, Let Me In lives up to the rave reviews that it has been receiving:

Unlike the plethora of other vampire stories that are so hot right now, Let Me In is a painfully beautiful and poignantly sad tale that reminds the viewer that being a vampire is a curse, not a supernatural blessing. I’m hesitant to reveal too much about the plot mainly because I knew very little about the story going in and found it very entertaining to have the story unfold before my eyes. I will say that the young lead actors, Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road) are simply superb! I was totally engrossed by the relationship between Chloë‘s character Abby and Kodi‘s character Owen. Let Me In is kinda scary but more than that, it’s a beautiful love story that naturally becomes very complicated. Even from young actors, tho, the complexities of Abby and Owen‘s relationship is fully fleshed out and is just amazing to watch. I really loved Let Me In … so much so that I hope to be able to see it again when it opens this weekend … plus I deffo plan to read the original novel and see the original film this movie is based on.

After the premiere screening, Josh and I made our way to the afterparty and had a really fun time. We came home with souvenir Rubik’s Cubes (which, after you see the movie, will make more sense). Additionally, I got to meet Pink reader Scott at the afterparty so I want to send a big shout-out to him :) We had fun last night … it’s always a good time with Josh.

Tonight, Darion and I are going to another film premiere … this time, we’re seeing Hatchet II. I can’t wait to see how the sequel measures up to the original film ;)

‘Let Me In’ Premieres In LA

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 11:40 AM PDT

Last night the cast and crew of the new horror/suspense film Let Me In (which is an American remake of the Swedish 2008 film Låt Den Rätte Komma In, which translates to Let The Right One In) made their way out to the Bruin Theater in Westwood, CA for the Hollywood premiere of their film. Here are photos of principal stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Richard Jenkins and Elias Koteas on the red carpet last night:

You may recognize Chloë Grace Moretz, who plays the lead character Abby in the film, as the actress who played Hit Girl in the film Kick-Ass and you may recognize Kodi Smit-McPhee, who plays the other lead character Owen in the film, as the actor who played The Boy in film adaptation of The Road. My friend Josh and I were very lucky to be able to attend last night’s premiere as well and we both LOVED the film very much. I’ll post my full review a bit later on but I wanted to share these photos from last night’s premiere because I felt the film was so good. Chloë and Kodi are such talented actors, I predict big things for them as their careers unfold. Their on-screen chemistry in Let Me In is really superb. The film opens this weekend … and, to be honest, I’m thinking about seeing it again. The story is really a beautiful one … deffo worth seeing on the big screen.

Behold: The Return Of The Jude’stache

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 11:17 AM PDT

It has been over a year since we last saw the famed Jude’stache out in public when Jude Law was called back to do reshoots in August of 2009 for Sherlock Holmes which was released in December ’09. Well now that we are closing in on the start of filming production of Sherlock Holmes 2 (which will feature Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace in her American film debut), it is time once again for Jude to start growing his famous facial hair. Jude and ladylove Sienna Miller were spotted out on the town together in London this week and in these new photos we get our first look at the nascent Jude’stache:

It’s been getting cold over the last week in London, but that didn’t stop Jude Law and Sienna Miller looking as stylish as ever on an evening out last night. While Jude, 37, opted for a dark grey suit, white shirt and black bowler hat, Sienna, 28, wrapped up in a fur coat over taupe shorts and a matching top. And, ever the trendsetter, Sienna, decided to accessorise her outfit with a splash of bright red lipstick as she and Jude arrived at C London restaurant. But it wasn’t just a social night out for Jude and Sienna, as they met up with Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer and his wife Linda in the eatery. It’s unclear why they pair were dining with Bruckheimer, although presumably it may have been to discuss a future movie in the pipeline. Also dining at the restaurant were Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie and girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley as well as rapper Ne-Yo, who was apparently there on unrelated business. The meeting comes after it was announced Jude would be reprising his role as Watson in Sherlock Holmes 2, after the original last year took in a staggering $523million at the worldwide box office.

Wee!! The Jude’stache is in full effect. Granted, the facial hair still has a bit of growing to do before it reaches its full and sexy thickness, I think it’s off to a pretty good start:

Yes, Jude, lick dem lips … and keep on growin’, will ya? It’s gonna be a fun Autumn ahead watching Jude Law get hairier ;)

Mark Ruffalo Promises His Hulk Will Be More Believable, Actually Watchable

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 10:48 AM PDT

Back in July we learned that Mark Ruffalo won the role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Marvel Comics book The Avengers and in August we read his first comments about playing the role. Today we are hearing from Ruffalo again about his turn at the Incredible superhero … and how exactly he plans to portray the character in the film:

In the two Incredible Hulk movies of the past decade, stars Edward Norton and Eric Bana played Bruce Banner but let the effects crew worry about the big green guy. In Marvel’s upcoming The Avengers, though, Mark Ruffalo will actually play the Hulk: “I’m really excited. No one’s ever played the Hulk exactly, they’ve always done CGI,” he told us at last night’s Launch of Farmhearts at Pure Yoga. “They’re going to do the Avatar stop-action, stop-motion capture. So I’ll actually play the Hulk. That’ll be fun.” But he’s nearly as excited about playing Banner: “I really love the first TV version of it, the Bill Bixby one,” Ruffalo told us. “I’m gonna shoot for that a little bit. He was an everyman in it. He’s always on the run and trying to find love. It’s really a sympathetic character, before he turns into the Hulk and fucks everything up.” Also, if you needed one more reason to be excited for Avengers, Ruffalo tells he’ll be playing history’s first-ever 3-D Hulk: “I hope I don’t bulge in anyone’s face, that’s all I have to say.”

Thank the GODS! I’m actually surprised that it took filmmakers this long to realize that their attempts at making a CGI version of The Hulk have been HORRENDOUS! Both The Hulk and The Incredible Hulk suffered from really lackluster FX that made the green superhero look silly rather than incredible. Both movies made me yearn for the days when Lou Ferrigno got all lathered in green make-up to portray The Hulk in the 1970′s TV series. I’m pleased to hear that The Avengers version of The Hulk will be more Avatar-like … it’s a promising development. Considering how small The Hulk‘s part will be in The Avengers, I hope they are able to get his part right. I can’t really take another failed attempt at bringing The Hulk to life properly on the big screen.

The New Superman Film Is Close To Finding A Director

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 09:37 AM PDT

Last Spring we learned that Christopher Nolan — the director of Batman Begins, Batman: The Dark Knight and Inception — is overseeing the production of a rebooted Superman movie franchise and today we learn that that new franchise is close to signing a director. While Nolan has been busy working on the story, the search has been ongoing behind the scenes to find the right director for the reboot. According to new reports, Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler) has joined the shortlist of directors up for the job … a shortlist that includes Duncan Jones (Source Code), Jonathan Liebesman (Clash of the Titans 2), Matt Reeves (Let Me In), Tony Scott (Unstoppable) and Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch):

When we interviewed Darren Aronofsky at the start of the Toronto International Film Festival, he had a deadpan answer on the progress of “Robocop,” the remake of the 1980s action movie that has been felled by financial problems at MGM. “I think I’m still attached,” he said. “I don’t know. I haven’t heard from anyone in a while.” Now there’s talk that he could make his studio debut with a different classic property: Superman … Of course, Aronofsky is just one name among many. Nolan and producing partner Emma Thomas are casting a net wider than Krypton for the job, with Zack Snyder (a man known for action scenes and physical movement), Matt Reeves (getting heat off this Friday’s “Let Me In”) and a number of veteran filmmakers also reportedly in the running.

I’ve been a HUGE Aronofsky fan ever since Pi was released in 1998 so I would LOVE for him to get the new Superman job. If memory serves, Aronofsky was actually on the shortlist to direct the rebooted Batman franchise that Christopher Nolan ended up winning … so this would be a very cool and interesting turn of events if he should get the gig. Additionally, Deadline Hollywood is reporting that a major announcement about DC Comics characters will be made “in 4 weeks” … read on:

Warner Brothers film execs are telling Deadline there will be major announcements involving DC characters coming in 4 weeks. But I can tell you now that Superman producers Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas are getting closer to resuscitating the Man of Steel … olan has already started meeting with candidates and will submit his choice to the studio within the next few weeks. Warner Bros and Legendary have to get the picture made by 2012, because the studio stands to lose certain rights to the iconic character in 2013 after a judge ruled favorably on behalf of the heirs of Superman creator Jerry Siegel. As I’ve reported previously, the studio at one point wanted Guillermo del Toro to resurrect Superman… Will tell you more when I hear it.

Gah!! All these amazing director names getting thrown around … I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. I’m quite confident that Christopher Nolan will make the right choice and I trust him fully behind the scenes. 4 weeks will fly by in no time … I’m guessing we’ll be hearing about the new Superman director sooner rather than later. So … what do y’all think … are you excited for a new Superman film franchise? Who, if any, of these directors would you like to see breathe new life into the Man of Steel?

Trent Reznor Confirms A ‘Year Zero’ TV Series

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 08:51 AM PDT

It’s a rumor that’s been going around Nine Inch Nails fans for years and today … we have official confirmation. Trent Reznor spoke to the LA Times this week and officially confirmed the news that he is in development of a TV series based on the 2007 Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero. In a nutshell, Year Zero is an album themed around the idea that a future America is enslaved by a government led fundamentalist theocracy and the small groups of freedom fighters rallying against the system. As I understand it, the Year Zero TV series will be set in that future America, circa 2022, and will tell that story on the small screen:

Trent Reznor says HBO and BBC America are moving forward with the development of "Year Zero," the grim sci-fi epic that Reznor has chronicled in his music as well as in a celebrated Alternate Reality Game (ARG). "We are in pre-production with HBO and BBC America to do a miniseries," Reznor said Monday. "It's exciting. I probably shouldn't say too much about it except that I understand that there's a thousand hurdles before anything shows up in your TV listing. It's been an interesting and very educational process and it cleared the HBO hurdle a few months ago and now we're writing drafts back and forth. So it's very much alive and incubating at the moment." Reznor is working with the team of Lawrence Bender, best known for producing Quentin Tarantino films such as "Pulp Fiction," "Inglourious Basterds" and "Reservoir Dogs" as well as the documentaries "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Countdown to Zero," and Kevin Kelly Brown, who was executive producer on "Roswell." "BBC America was the first to show interest and came on as the studio," Reznor explained. "Our writer is Daniel Knauf from 'Carnivàle' and he's busy with pages right now and revising the overall world Bible. It's been an interesting collaborative effort but I've learned that [television development] moves at a glacial pace."

This is the effing best news ever. Year Zero is among my fave NIN albums, particularly because the thematic structure of the album is so entertaining. When the album was released, the accompanying Alternate Reality Game that existed online was almost as entertaining as the album was. I’ve always felt that the world of Year Zero would make great fodder for expansion … a TV series that is being made in conjunction with BBC America and HBO is sure to remain as true as possible to Reznor‘s original vision. I’m certain that TR and his creative partner Rob Sheridan are planning on being as involved in the process as possible … which means that we are prolly gonna get an amazing new TV series. It’s impossible to know when exactly we might expect the Year Zero series to debut but the fact that the show is now in pre-production is a very positive sign. I am quite confident that these brilliant minds will put together a series that will not only satisfy NIN fans but will satisfy sci-fi fans overall. It’s like a dream come true … and I cannot wait to hear more!

Michael C. Hall Visits ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 08:29 AM PDT

The new season of Dexter FINALLY got underway last Sunday with the season 5 premiere of the show and this week lead actor Michael C. Hall is in NYC doing the rounds to promote the show. MCH paid a visit to The Ed Sullivan Theater last night to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman and homie rolled in to the venue rockin’ a very shiny, very stylish suit:

Unfortunately for us, we’re gonna hafta wait until Friday to see MCH on the show … I understand that he taped his appearance last night but it won’t air on the show until Friday. Altho, I understand that MCH will be appearing on other NYC-based talk shows thruout the week (I believe he’s on Live with Regis & Kelly today) so there should be plenty of appearances to keep us satisfied. I’ve been hearing from a few Pink readers how much they enjoyed the season 5 premiere ep My Bad and I know that the best is yet to come. IMHO, Dexter is THE best show on TV right now … hands down. And can I just say how happy I am to see Michael C. Hall doing so well health-wise? He looks fantastic! Set those DVRs, y’all … MCH will be on Letterman this coming Friday night.
