Video: Will.I.am's 'Sesame Street' Debut

Posted: 15 Sep 2010 10:34 AM PDT

Okay Sesame Street, we get it. You’re a big boy now, and your guest-stars are hip and relevant! Neil Patrick Harris! Feist! Will.I.am! Wait…he’s not still relevant, is he? We mean, props for this not being a “Yes We Can” take off (we were worried when we saw the title was “What I Am”), but we’d rather have seen Fergie on the show, who could at least teach kids something useful, like how the letter M stands for “meth-face.”

Crushable Exclusive: Was Alan Cumming Flirting with '30 Rock's' Cheyenne Jackson at the G-Star Raw Show?

Posted: 15 Sep 2010 09:27 AM PDT

Front row of G-Star Raw’s fashion show last night was a “Who’s Who” of awesome celebrities. Right down the line there was America’s Next Top Model’s Jay Manuel and J. Alexander, Liv Tyler, Kelly Osbourne, Kelly Rowland, Joe Manganiello from True Blood and his date, along with model/actor Eric Balfour and….who are those two nudging themselves and giggling in the corner? Why, pansexual thespian Alan Cumming and criminally under-utilized 30 Rock cast member Cheyenne Jackson.

The duo spent most of the show deep in conversation, though Eric kept trying to get Alan’s attention, but the former Cabaret MC seemed fully involved with the openly gay Cheyenne.

Video: Delaware's Possible Senator Christine O'Donnell's 90s MTV Masturbation PSA

Last night, Christine O’Donnell won the Republican nomination for senator in the primaries in Delaware, beating out longtime congressman Mike Castle. Some Republicans are not happy about this, because Christine is well…kind of nutty. Check out this PSA she made in the 90’s for MTV, as the lead organizer of The S.A.L.T. (the Saviors’ Alliance for Lifting the Truth). Turns out, not only is premarital sex is a sin, but so is touching yourself…down there. And here are the Bible passages to prove it!

As I am from Delaware myself, the thought of this woman being my senator is obviously both very funny and very terrifying.

Illustrious Illustrations: Best Of 'Mad Men' DeviantART

We often find ourself doodling Don Draper’s chiseled face on notebooks and napkins, but it never looks all that much like Jon Hamm (or Dick Whitman for that matter). But there are some folks out there with both the Mad Men fandom and the artistic skills to bring Don, Joan and Pete to life. We went through DeviantART and picked out some of the best Mad Men-inspired illustration currently gracing the web.

Gossip Girl Fashion Designer Eric Daman Is No Snob – “I don’t want all the girls who watch [Gossip Girl] in the Midwest to feel bad because they’re watching something that they don’t think they can ever be a part of,” says the Michigan-born designer. But what about the boys who covet Chuck Bass’ purple cravats? (via Mediabistro)

Crushable Quote of the Day: Kelly Rowland Takes New York And ChikaLicious By Storm

Posted: 15 Sep 2010 09:53 AM PDT

Last night YRB Magazine celebrated Kelly Rowland’s first album with Universal Motown Records. During a brief interview, the former Destiny’s Child group member divulged some sweet information. When asked where her favorite local NYC spot to dine was, she answered:

“I really love ChikaLicious… it’s a dessert bar.”

The singer also admitted that she’s “never taken the subway, but she’d like to.”

A shout-out to Kelly Rowland for taking the road less traveled.

Exclusive Video: David Reed Serenades Crushable with 'Moving Mountains'

Posted: 15 Sep 2010 08:13 AM PDT

David Reed is not your typical rock star: Growing up in South Carolina, he was “the only boy” to enjoy going to choir, and spent his high school days in bands that took their major influences from Hootie & the Blowfish. But after four years in the band Closer, David struck out on his own: First with his 2008 successful solo album, Missteps and Miscommunications, David is back on tour with his most personal album to date, The Private Life of David Reed.

“After I finished the song ‘Moving Mountains’, I felt like the album was done,” David told Crushable about the ballad that deals with the connection between his parents’ divorce and his current relationships, “Certain songs, writing them can work like therapy, and that’s what Moving Mountains did for me.”

We asked David if he’d perform ‘Moving Mountains’ for us, and he happily obliged. It’s times like these where the term “Crushable” really applies, huh?

  • Someone described this pup as
  • Dara's daughters dressed to match their dogs.
  • A spacesuit! For a dog! Amazing.
  • Dog necklaces for the win.
  • A shot of the red carpet.

I attended Adoptapalooza’s pet fashion show last weekend, an event held during Fashion Week to encourage folks to take home rescued animals. I arrived early and had to time to check out the scene before the show started (and to pet a few doggies). Pups were wandering around wearing little vests saying “Adopt Me” and a truck bearing 50 caged kittens meowing in unison broke my heart.

There were booths for pet spas and groomers, and animals hanging around doing tricks. I scored a pretty sweet promotional cat-ear headband that I kept on all day — later, a stranger at the bar approached me and asked earnestly if I was a Furry. (I nodded and asked if he’d like to adopt me. We’re very happy.)

The fashion show was hosted by pet stylist Dara Foster, and it included a little red carpet for the dog models to strut (don’t say “catwalk” around the pups!). Dara offered commentary on the outfits — which ranged from gowns and gingham dresses to metallic spacesuits. One of the looks was “inspired by Mad Men,” another specifically designed for a puppy birthday party.

“Accessories are in,” Dara said as a poodle in a hair bow took her turn down the carpet. Who are we to disagree with that?
