Posted: 02 Sep 2010 06:20 PM PDT  Natalie Portman rubs shoulders with director Darren Aronofsky, who helmed her latest movie Black Swan, at a cocktail party for Hollywood Foreign Press Association during the 2010 Venice Film Festival on Thursday (September 2) in Venice, Italy. The pair mingled with HFPA exec Munawar Hosain. Yesterday, Nat premiered Black Swan, which received wide critical acclaim. "Portman is astounding," says the Times of London. "Awards are sure to follow." Adds Daily Telegraph’s David Gritten, "Every film festival benefits hugely from a strong opening film, and they don't come much stronger than Black Swan." The 42-year-old singer recently chatted with People about the power fragrance can have. "I remember buying my future husband a perfume that he was wearing at the time and I bought myself the same one to spray my pillow with his scent, and I was almost spraying my body with it," she shared. "It was like I wanted to carry his scent as well." Pure Brilliance is a floral scent with notes of pear, apple, green leaves, freesia and honeysuckle. The fragrance hits stores on Monday, September 6 and starts at $28!  |

The laugh-out-loud comedian joked during her September 1st monologue, “I have been working for the E! network for over three years now, and in addition to hosting this chucklefest of a show, I’ve given many suggestions on how to improve the quality of their entire network. As you can tell by the current line-up of shows, they have taken none of my suggestions. So I’ve decided to consult for other networks.” “Up until a couple weeks ago, I was working very intimately with the Animal Planet, but unfortunately, that contract was terminated,” she laughed. “However, I enjoyed being in bed with them and may hook up for an occasional project.” Ha ha! Hugh Jackman stars in the film about the sport of robot boxing. The 41-year-old X-Men actor plays a washed-up boxer who teams with his son to turn a robot into a champion contender. Karl plays the role of Tak Mashido, a robot boxer designer. The 35-year-old Korean-American actor has previously been seen in Speed Racer and Memoirs of a Geisha.
