First Look: ‘The Tourist’

We’ve seen Angelina Jolie hard at work on the set of The Tourist and we’ve seen Johnny Depp hard at work on the set of The Tourist … today, we get our first look at the fruit of all of that hard work. Here is the just-released movie trailer for The Tourist:


LOL. This just looks … silly. Johnny‘s hair, Angelina‘s accent and the plot? It feels like a classic mistaken identity episode from Three’s Company … OY! That being said, I’m sure it’ll be a big hit. So … now that you’ve seen the trailer, what do you think? Will The Tourist be worth seeing once it hits theaters this December?

Teresa & Joe Guidice Share Their Personal Photos With ‘In Touch Weekly’ Magazine

This post is strictly for fans of the Bravo TV reality series The Real Housewives of New Jersey (and I know there are quite a few of you out there) … haters, to the left. RHONJ castmembers Teresa and Joe Giudice have decided to share a collection of their personal photos (and by “share” I’m guessing they sold the photos to raise much-needed funds to pay down their staggering debt) with In Touch Weekly magazine. Here is one of those personal photos shared with the mag that show Teresa and Joe back in their glory days as a young couple:

Before she became a household name thanks to her star-making turn on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa was just your average Jersey girl. In the new issue of In Touch Weekly Teresa opens up about her whirlwind romance with childhood crush, Joe Giudice and shares never-before-seen photos from their family album.

Bwahahahahahaha! I don’t even know why I love this photo so much … I truly can’t stand either of these two on the show but there is something about the innocent youth of these two snapped in 1984 is, dare I say, cute. If you would like to see more, cuz I would LOVE to see more, you can check out other photos in the new issue of In Touch which is on newsstands now.

Javier Bardem Does ‘Esquire’ Magazine

Javier Bardem, who we learned just yesterday is going to be a father now that his wife Penélope Cruz is 4 1/2 months pregs, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Esquire magazine. Here is our first look at Javier‘s new coverphoto which accompanies the coverstory article:


To be honest, I have a hard time reading Esquire articles. They tend to ramble and seem to take the very long way around telling a particular story. Fortunately, the magazine manages to publish pretty pictures to go along with these articles … otherwise I’d have nothing to keep me interested ;) If you would like to read the October coverstory article on Javier you can do so HERE. I can’t even imagine how beautiful a baby Javier and wife Penélope are incubating in their baby bump. You just know they are going to be really cool parents … I just hope the kid doesn’t come out of the womb smoking a cigarette.

‘Transformers 3’ Begins Filming In Detroit, MI

Actors Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have made their way to Detroit, MI to film new scenes for the upcoming blockbuster film Transformers 3. Here are a couple photos of the pair on set as they maneuver their way thru huge mechanical robot props:


According to WXYZ in Detroit, filming took place today at the old Packard Plant on East Grand Boulevard. Additionally, they managed to get video from above — which you can check out, after the jump …


As you may know, a few battle scenes in the first Transformers film were shot in downtown Detroit so this is a return for the production team. Back in July we saw some photos from the Chicago, IL set of Transformers 3 but I’m hoping production saved the biggest, baddest and best scenes for Detroit. Transformers will be filming in Detroit for the next few weeks … I can’t wait to see more.

Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo In ‘Housekeeping’ By Armani Jeans

Last Friday we got our first look at a teaser clip from a new Armani Jeans promo video that featured Cristiano Ronaldo in his Armani Underwear and not much else. It turns out that that teaser was just the first part of a much longer clip titled Housekeeping … which we get to watch in full right now:


In the teaser we saw last week, Ronaldo comes out of the bathroom in only his underwear and then slips on his jeans while the chambermaid secretly watches from the other room. In the full clip, he paces around the hotel room looking for his shirt … which the chambermaid slyly shoves underneath the couch cushions. Um, are they kidding us with this dumb video? It’s lame as hell. The teaser was hot … but the rest of this clip is just … boring. If the chambermaid was smart, she would’ve hid Cristiano‘s jeans so that he’d have to pace around the room in his tight little undies. Blah. Even tho this full Housekeeping video is boringly disappointing, I am very happy that Armani released the much hotter teaser clip first. Here’s hoping Armani gets it right the next time they make a promo video. Key worlds: less clothing.

Bigger Is Better

Yesterday afternoon I became the proud owner of one of the biggest working Swatch watches in existence. Do try and hold your applause. As an avid fan of Swatch watches for many years, I’ve been well aware of the coveted and elusive Swatch MAXI wall clocks that are giant-sized Swatch watches that hang on the wall. After an unsuccessful bid on eBay a few weeks ago (that angered me to NO end), I was able to successfully procure another Swatch MAXI clock on eBay last week … and it arrived yesterday:


Trust me, I know there is nothing dorkier than blogging about a wall clock but this is a pretty sweet ass wall clock. I remember seeing these big clocks back in the 80′s and now I have one hanging in my office … see folks, dreams can come true ;) Please pardon my obsessiveness but I couldn’t help but share photos of the coolest clock I’ve ever seen in my life.

Last night, David and I went out for an extended and delicious dinner with our friend Lisa who is visiting SoCal from NYC. We don’t get to see Lisa nearly enough but we love her entirely and had a great time with her last night. We had previously planned to holiday together in Iceland but, well, that trip didn’t really work out for us … so now we’re planning to do another trip together next year … perhaps in South America. It is always such a pleasure to get to spend time with Lisa … it’s a shame she has to head back to NYC today.

Tonight I am gonna try and hook up with Jordan since I haven’t seen him in AGES. Life is good, quiet and lovely. Happy Hump Day!

Michael C. Hall Surfaces In Toronto

Michael C. Hall, who is gettin’ ready to thrill Dexter fans with a brand new season of the hit show in just 11 days, has made his way to Toronto, Ontario to make an appearance at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. Here are photos of MCH as he made his arrival at Pearson International Airport earlier today:


My guess is that MCH is at the TIFF to promote the film East Fifth Bliss which he filmed in NYC last Spring. Homie is lookin’ good … and workin’ hard … after all, it was just a few weeks ago that we saw him hard at work on the set of Dexter here in SoCal. I just love this man … and I’m happy to see that Toronto will get to enjoy his company for a short while.

Courteney Cox-Arquette Brings Her Kitten To ‘Cougar Town’ Again

Back in February we saw a couple of supercute photos of mama Courtney Cox-Arquette smoochin’ on her baby girl Coco on the SoCal set of Cougar Town. Today we get to see new photos of mother and daughter on the CT set, only this time Coco looks more grown up:

It’s every parents conundrum – just what to do with the children while you’re at work. But Courteney Cox seems to have managed to get the balance right. The Cougar Town star, 46, brought daughter Coco, 6, to the set, and while she worked, her little girl enjoyed a play date with an equally little friend. Clutching her pink and white soft toy, Coco, as you might expect for the offspring of an actress seemed right at home on the Malibu set. Coco, dressed in tied-dye vest, grey leggings and fashionable Ugg footwear held hands with her brightly dressed friend as they headed off to have some fun together. While her 46-year-old mother, dressed in a striking purple dress and lilac cardigan padded across the lot in flip-flops as she went about her working day on set. Coco’s godmother is Jennifer Aniston, and she has said she spends as much time with her as possible. ‘Coco calls me Nouna. I see her almost every weekend and she’s really turning into such a lovely little girl. She’s sweet, funny, and creative and we just sit there in awe of her.’ Cox is set to be reunited with her former Friends co-star in the show which is now in its second season. Aniston is set to guest star on Cox’s ABC comedy in the show’s season 2 premiere on September 22. She will play Courteney’s shrink Bonnie. A therapist who gets a little bit too involved in Cox’s life.

Yes, while it is very exciting that Jennifer Aniston will be making her Cougar Town debut on the season premiere ep of the show next Tuesday September 22, I really love seeing photos of Coco on set with her mom. It’s CRAZY how big this little girl has grown. And who knows, if Coco hangs out on the set long enough … maybe they’ll give her a job? Ok, so she may be a bit young to play a cougar on the show there’s prolly a very good chance her mom will figure out a way to feature her if she really wants to be on the show.

Disney Releases A New Trailer For ‘Tangled’

Back in June we got to check out the teaser trailer for the Disney animated film Tangled (which is said to be a more boy-friendly version of the Rapunzel fairytale) due out this Winter and today we get to check out a new trailer for the film. While some of the scenes from the teaser clip are included here, this new trailer gives us a better feel for the film’s storyline. Here are a few screencaps:

Disney’s latest 3D CGI animated fairy tale puts an interesting twist on the story of ‘Rapunzel,’ the Brothers Grimm tale about a young woman — imprisoned in a stair-less tower by a witch — whose long hair was used as a ladder to enter her room (“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let down your golden hair”). And there she lived until a handsome prince rescued her. The folks at Disney have taken the fairy tale and turned it all around. In ‘Tangled,’ Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) is now a feisty teenager who’s spent all too many years locked away in a tower, and when the kingdom’s most wanted — and most charming — bandit, Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi), decides that her room would make a safe hideout, she seizes upon the opportunity to make her escape. She takes Rider hostage, strikes a deal with him to go on the lam, and the unlikely duo set off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs.

Despite the fact that I’m not a huge fan of the original fairytale, I must admit … I am loving all the promo stuff from this new Disney version of the tale. At first, I bristled at the notion of turning the Rapunzel story into a “swashbuckling” story meant to appeal to boys … until I realized that girls will love the adventuresome updates to the story as well. It looks cute … and fun. While I don’t think that Disney needs to make a concerted effort to appeal to boys over girls to sell movies, I think they made the right decision when they updated the Rapunzel story to be more adventurous. It looks like Rapunzel will be the one to save Flynn on more than one occasion … which is a storyline I can get behind. What do y’all think of Tangled? Does this look like something you’d see in theaters?

Jessica Simpson Tweets Birthday Lurve For Eric Johnson

Jessica Simpson, who is currently enjoying the New York Fashion Week activities going on in the Big Apple (not the least of which was her guest judging duties at the Project Runway season finale runway show last week) with her new beau Eric Johnson, is once again showing her lurve for her man on her official Twitter profile. According to Jess, today is Eric‘s birthday … she tweets:

Jessica Simpson's weight fluctuates more frequently than her outfits do and the singer was looking svelte again when she stepped out with boyfriend Eric Johnson. The 30-year-old is still in New York, where she has been promoting her new clothing line at Fashion Week and was off to launch Macy's new advert. But despite trying her hand at fashion design, both Jess and Eric decided to dress down in jeans as they left their hotel in the Big Apple and went shopping at Barney’s. The pint sized star gave herself some extra height in four inch heels and covered her curves in a baggy white T-shirt and black blazer. She might need to give her 30-year-old former NFL beau a few tips though after she let him stroll around in a tracksuit hoodie, loose jeans and scruffy trainers. Miss Simpson was later attending Macy's 'Find Your Magic' launch, which is the department store's new commercial unveiling. She posted on her Twitter page: 'Meet me at Macy's Herald Square from 7:30-9:30 and 'show me your blues' by @JSCollection and I'll tweet your pic!' The event is launching Macy's new advert and airs behind-the-scenes footage of celebrity designers Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Martha Stewart, Tommy Hilfiger and Donald Trump. Jessica's fashion collection is sold at the department store and was asked to appear in the commercial. And despite being busy designing her Jessica Simpson Collection, her music career hasn't taken a dive and she revealed she is set to release a Christmas album.

Oh no! Another Xmas album? Poor Jess, as if she hasn’t endured enough failure in her professional life. Releasing another Xmas album just seems like a bad idea … especially in a year where Mariah Carey is planning the release of a new Xmas album of her own. No honey, just stick with what you do best … tweeting photos of your hot new man. First Look: Julia Stiles On ‘Dexter’

Back in July we learned that actress Julia Stiles had been added to the upcoming 5th season of Dexter where she will play a “psychologically and physically damaged” woman named Lumen … today, we get our first look at Lumen in a few new Dexter promo images:

Her role may be shrouded in mystery (rumor has it she’ll be some sort of emotional surrogate for newly widowed Dexter), but at long last we’re getting our first look at Julia Stiles in “Dexter.” And … yep, Julia pretty much looks like she always does, which is to say sunnily projecting slightly crunchy girl next door-ocity. Although in “Dexter”-ville, no one is what they seem. Nice reporters turn out to be related to killers, nice brothers actually turn out to be killers and nearly everyone who falls in between ends up six feet under. Here’s hoping that doesn’t happen to Julia’s character, who is named … good lord, we don’t even know that?!?!

Er … not true, New York Post. We know that Julia‘s character’s name is Lumen … and that she is “psychologically and physically damaged”. After the jump, check out two more promo photos of Julia as Lumen in Dexter as well as a promo video that slightly teases the upcoming new season …

As I mentioned yesterday, Showtime graciously sent me a press pack for Dexter season 5 which includes the first 3 eps of the new season and I’m REALLY anxious for all y’all to see those eps. Showtime isn’t kidding when they refer to Lumen as “psychologically and physically damaged” … just wait ’til you find out how she got that way. The new season of Dexter will premiere on Showtime on Sunday September 26 (in just 11 days). Get ready, y’all.

Nick Cannon Releases A Diss Track For Eminem

The epic feud between Eminem and Mr. & Mrs. Cannon (namely Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey) has been reignited this week with the release of a new diss track titled I’ma Slick Rick unleashed by Nick against Em. As you may recall, Mariah Carey was still peeved at Eminem for releasing embarrassing audio of Mariah which he recorded when the two of them were romantically involved a few years ago … as a result, she seemingly mocked Em last year in her music video for Obsessed (implying that he is “so obsessed” with her). In retaliation, Eminem released a diss track titled The Warning where he threatens Mariah with the release of nude photos among other things (you can read all about and listen to The Warning HERE). This week, a little over a year after Em released The Warning, Nick releases a diss track of his own where he accuses Eminem of being so “feminine” that he has to hide behind his bodyguards — then he refers to Em “Teddy Ruxpin” … or some such nonsense. Still interested? Read on:

A little over a year after Eminem released the scathing diss track “The Warning” aimed at Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon has responded with a diss of his own. Cannon, who is Carey’s husband, dropped “I’ma Slick Rick” yesterday (September 12). Over the beat of Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie,” Cannon borrows Slick Rick’s cadence, delivery and flow. The song parlays lyrics from such Slick Rick staples as “Children’s Story” and “La Di Da Di.” Only the second verse of the song, which clocks in at under three minutes, is directly aimed at Shady. “I dunno if I should hit him cuz he’s feminine, Slick / Excuse me, Eminem, but why you lyin’ on your dick? / Erectile dysfunction, you want to get a lump, then? … / I see your mouth moving, but you’re soft, Teddy Ruxpin” In the song, Cannon claims that Eminem was afraid to confront him at the BET Awards, where he claims Shady was surrounded by security, whereas he was “rollin’ dolo.” Also notable is Cannon’s use of the N-word, as the rapper has generally maintained a clean-cut image.

While I can appreciate and understand Nick‘s need to defend his wife’s honor, I can’t help but feel that this new diss track is a year late and a dollar short. Obvs, Nick still harbors resentment for Eminem over his treatment of wifey Mariah but why dredge up the past like this in order to reignite an old feud? It’s been a year, dude … move on. But, I can’t lie … the fact that Nick is fighting back in this way is a bit entertaining to me. I gotta say … I find this whole feud very comical. I’m actually curious to see if Eminem will take the bait and will fire back. Having released the best album of his career now that he is in sober recovery, I wonder if Em still wishes to take on these sorts of feuds head on anymore. My guess is that yes, he will fire back … the question remains, just how far will all of this go.

Shiloh Nouvel Gets Her Boots On

Angelina Jolie and her eldest daughters, Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel, have made their way to SoCal and were spotted making their grand arrival at LAX Airport this week … and as you can see in the following photos, little Miss Shiloh Nouvel was wearing her best combat boots for the occasion:

At the tender age of four, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has very definite ideas about her wardrobe. And yesterday, the tomboy was spotted stomping through LAX in chunky ‘bovver boots’ with her mother Angelina, 35, and sister Zahara, five. The little jet-setter was dressed in grey shorts and a polo shirt and was carrying a green backpack. Angelina recently said her daughter has ‘Montenegro style’, leaving fashion observers a little flummoxed by the obscure description. The actress added: ‘She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.’ Shiloh is something of a bright spark, according to her grandfather Jon Voight. The veteran actor says: ‘All the kids are smart, I tell you. They’re beautiful children. Shiloh – boy, she’s a smart one.’ Angelina recently returned from a trip to Pakistan as part of her work as a US Goodwill Ambassador. She says all her children – including Maddox, eight, Pax, six, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – are aware of her philanthropic efforts. ‘I tell my children why I’m going and I explain to them, why I was packing flashlights and food,’ she says. ‘They help me pack things. It helps them to be better people to understand a little bit about the world.’

I just love the Brangelina kids … not only are they smart and philanthropic but they are also stylish as hell. There were quite a few rockers on the red carpet at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday that were wearing these kinds of boots, unlaced and untied. I’m not at all surprised that little style maven Shiloh is rockin’ the same look as well. Again, kudos to Angelina and babydaddy Brad Pitt for allowing their young children to express themselves in their style of dress. Just like Gwen Stefani lets her sons express themselves stylistically, it’s nice to see that Brangelina continue to foster the expression of their children as well. Dang, it looks like I need to dig out my combat boots so that I can get on trend as well. Thanks, Shiloh!
