Posted: 10 Aug 2011 12:50 PM PDT Last we checked, Adele was sure on her way to holding the top spot for 12 weeks on the American Billboard 200! Welp! She did it!!! We're so happy for her. It's really refreshing to see a true artist -- not just a performer -- earn the recognition and acclaim they deserve! Adele now ties with Santana's Supernatural for racking a dozen #1s. And while we're pretty sure Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne will land on top for their debut, we won't be surprised if Adele ends up taking it right back! [Image via WENN.] |

During Britney Spears' concert in Hartford last night, everything was going wonderfully until a stage error occurred during her encore performance of Till the World Ends (above). She was supposed to fly over the audience, but when her crew was late to add a staircase to a stage apparatus, she was forced to improvise a solution, and we think she did a GREAT job! Brit stayed calm and kept on dancing till the Impressive! |

The current riots currently taking place all over London, which stemmed from protests over the death of Mark Duggan, have reportedly caused the pre-production of Kristen Stewart's new film, Snow White and the Huntsman, to halt until the looting, fires, vandalism stop! Furthermore, the actress and her co-star, Chris Hemsworth, have both been placed under the care of six police officers, and have been instructed to stay away from the center of the city! So scary! | Tyler Perry Launching His Own Network Posted: 10 Aug 2011 12:20 PM PDT Sorry, Oprah. No exclusive Tyler Perry love for you. He's going to be your competition!!! Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer announced today that the studio is looking to launch a new cable TV network backed soley by the "rare piece of talent" known as Tyler Perry. Jon revealed in as little detail as possible that the plan is to "buy and rebrand a not-fully distributed channel, or pursue a 'nesting strategy' with a channel it already has, including TV Guide." He then added:
TylerTV, huh? Sounds promising. But honestly, if anyone should be worried, it should be Lifetime, not Oprah. We've got three words for you: TylerTV Original Movies. He already comes out with two features a year! No way he won't extend that into his new network! [Image via WENN.] |
| Twilight Werewolf Busted In Arizona Over A DUI Posted: 10 Aug 2011 12:10 PM PDT Hear that sound? That's the howling of dozens of broken Twi-hard hearts who are sorely disappointed in one their own acting so shamefully. Kiowa Gordon might not look too familiar, but trust us, you've seen him before. He's one of wolves that traipses after Taylor Lautner in the Twilight movies as a member of the wolf pack. Maybe it would've been easier to recognize him without his shirt on, but that's neither here nor there. Point is, Kiowa's gotten himself into some trouble as he was arrested yesterday in Arizona on suspicion of DUI. While he was being charged, the police discovered that Kiowa was in even more trouble than they thought. The 21-year-old actor had failed to appear in court over a previous arrest for drug paraphernalia possession and giving alcohol to minors earlier this year. As of now, he's still in custody. Let this be a lesson to you, Twi-tweens! No one is above the law ... not even werewolves! (Vampires seldom get caught though, so you're all good Team Edward.) |

Nothing groundbreaking or even particularly interesting here, but harmless and cute. We know they're a boy band but it sounds too young. If they want a huge and long-lasting hit, they need a song with mass appeal. That being said, we're curious to hear what else these guys are working on! What do U think? Are U liking One Direction? |

But ever since that whole maid scandal broke a few months ago, we're learning more and more about what the kids are dealing with. Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger's oldest, Katherine, 21, is opening up about what's changed in her life since her parents announced their separation. She says:
But she does say that "everything happens for a reason. A lot of the time, it's hard to understand in the moment why things are happening." | Posted: 10 Aug 2011 11:10 AM PDT Oh man. This is the second time George Lopez has had to deal with a cancelation. His ABC sitcom The George Lopez Show was suddenly canceled back in 2007 and the word today is that TBS just canceled his talk show Lopez Tonight. TBS released this statement:
That's really unfortunate. Especially since your show was moved back an hour to make room for Conan. We're sure you'll be just fine though, George. |
