LADIES' NIGHT: Tasha Smith & Angela Bassett Grab Dinner In Beverly Hills

Who says talented YBF chicks in Hollywood are more frenemies than friends?  Actresses Tasha Smith and Angela Bassett (who other celebs have consistently said are two of the sweetest and nicest chicks in the game) had a ladies' night out last night in Beverly Hills while grabbing dinner at the swanky Mastro's Steakhouse.

The hilarious Tasha Smith and fab Angela Bassett wined and dined last night.  And it's no surprise these two are friends--they're both extrememly nice and down-to-earth chicks and recently co-starred in Jumping The Broom together.  So the laid back ladies were spotted laughing it up while leaving dinner last night:

And Tasha seemed to enjoy herself as well.  Tasha is set to star in Tyler Perry's upcoming tv show "For Better or Worse."  And Angela's working on This Means War with Reese Witherspoon.  Nice!

TWITTER BEEF: Wale GOES In On Video Vixen Rosa Acosta Over A Comment!

What's twitter without beef between a rapper and a video chick?  So Rosa Acosta (the chick who has appeared in many-a-rapper's videos and was on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" recently for getting it in raw and "getting pregnant" with Rob Kardashian's baby) hosted the Heineken event in Philly last night.  Wale was the special guest performer.  And he didn't take too kindly with one of Rosa's tweets about his performance.

Rosa Acosta hosted last night's Heineken Red Star Access event in Philly last night.  And when Wale took the stage and did a stage dive that ended up in security having to get involved, Rosa tweeted this:

Now we all know Wale is sensitive.  Remember this?  So he fired back at her about receiving more booty calls than regular calls and her areolas being more famous than her.  And he called her an "industry slide", which we can only assume is another term for industry ho: (Read from bottom up)

Sigh.   Now y'all know I'm usually down for video chicks and "models" getting set straight about certain ish, since there seem to be delusions of importance and grandeur that are rampant in their world, but this just made Wale look like a hissy-fitter. *Dead at the areolas though.*

SPOTTED: Usher Raymond's LUNCH DATE With Manager-Girlfriend Grace Miguel

Superstar Usher Raymond was spotted In NYC having lunch with his girlfriend Grace Miguel.  See the pics inside.....

 

Usher was spotted luching at Pastis Restaurant in the Meatpacking District in NYC yesterday afternoon.  And even though he's still trying to act like his manager Grace isn't his chick, we all know the deal.  The twosome may have been discussing apartments since we reported they were looking for one in NYC:

Looks like Grace, who's been running things for a while now, ended lunch by directing Usher to his next appointment.

Usher's charity, New Look Foundation, recently hosted 450 youth leaders from around the world at a special gala in Atlanta.  Nice!

CONCERT FAB: Solange Knowles And Theophilus London Rock A Block Party + Nas & Damian Marley Hit Central Park's SummerStage

Solange Knowles recently hooked up with rapper Theophilus London at a block party in New York and we have pics of them hitting the stage along with photos of rapper Nas and Damian Marley rocking the mic at Central Park's SummerStage.  See the pics inside.... 

 

Last night, Solange Knowles stopped through the Bean Pole x Kim Jones Block Party at Opening Ceremony in NYC.  And rocked this large straw hat, orange floral pants, and a white tank for a summer vintage feel.
 

At the block party, DJ Solange hit the 1s and 2s.  I swear she and her son Julez are identical twins when she rocks her hair like this.

And she performed with special guest Theophilus London.

Later on she posed with the co-owner of Opening Ceremony, Humberto Leon.

 

And in Central Park last night....

Nas performed in Central Park at SummerStage with Damien Marley.

Even Usher was spotted in the audience with Capricorn Clark.

 

The duo performed the free concert for tons of fans.  Nas recently announced that he will appear on Dr. Dre's Detox album.

Johnny Gill Being Sued By Record Producer Over Twitter Comments

Johnny Gill is back in the news.  But not for his new album.  Find out why a record producer is suing Johnny Gill inside...

 

Singer Johnny Gill is being sued by a P.O.ed record producer who says he has been talking trash about her on Twitter.

The producer, Ira Dewitt, who's also the wife of St. Louis Cardinals owner Bill DeWitt, says that Johnny accused her of leaking one of his records and called her "f**king nuts."

In response to the Twitter comments, Ira filed a lawsuit on Thursday with the L.A. County Superior Court claiming that Johnny's statements about her being "deranged" and "f**kng nuts" are going to defame her and hurt her business. She is suing for unspecified damages and to stop Johnny from making comments about her on Twitter.

Outside of his comments previously made on his Twitter account, Johnny has not responded to the lawsuit.

But he has said (@realjohnnygill),

"I hear you bro, this is how I feed my family and when some puts out unfinished product that don't represent who I am and my brand it effects how I feed my family as a man you don't mess with how o feed my family feel me?"

And as far as the coincidence being a leak, he directed a comment at Ira saying,

"I've been in this game 30years it's not a coincident trust me bro, a bully will pick on you until you fight back..."

Nia Long Spotted In Trinidad With Baby Belly, Mom & Son Massai!

After showcasing her preggers belly almost two months ago, and confirming soon after she was expecting her second child with baller boyfriend Ime Udoka, Nia Long went back to her roots of Trinidad this week.

 

We've got pics of fab chick Nia taking a family trip back to the islands inside...

 

40-year-old actress Nia Long looked relaxed and fab in rolled up jeans, a black tee, a straw fedora, and a sheer cardigan as she took in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad with her fam this week.

Her mother, Talita, who is a native Trinidadian, went along with her and so did her 10-year-old son Massai, Jr.  How cute are they!  Nia's baby is due this fall.  And it looks like she's getting some much needed R&R beforehand.

The Throne is here with their first official visual off the brand new album.  Kanye West & Jay-Z's "Otis" video just premiered across all the Viacom networks.

The Spike Jonze directed video, shot in L.A., shows the two rappers doing what they do best--having a little fun with a Maybach while chillin' their own rich ass world.  And, of course, there's a cameo from comedian Aziz Ansari.  The hit song is the major single off the Watch The Throne album and samples Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness."

OH SNAP! Jennifer Hudson GOES OFF On A Fan Who Accuses Her Of Having Lipo & A "Gay Fiance"

Don't tell Jennifer Hudson she got to an alleged size 0 (according to Joy Behar from "The View") simply due to liposuction.  And definitely don't talk ish about her husband-to-be David Otunga.  At least not on Twitter.  Because chick will POP OFF.

Jenny Hudson has always been a pretty much open book with her fans and followers, so when she was on a Q/A binge chatting with her followers today, one follower got under her skin with a certain question.

The follower asked, "Did you get surgery to assist in your weight loss? Or is it all weight watchers?"

Jenny's answer: Pls don't ask me no more dumb ass questions . If u try ww u would know u don't need any assistance . U people r so brain wash.

Tyler Perry's Own Cable Channel? "TYLER TV" Network On The Way...

Media mogul Tyler Perry has announced plans to partner with Lionsgate on a new cable network to be named Tyler TV. Get the deets inside.......

 

Tyler Perry is taking his next career cue from Oprah Winfrey and launching his own cable network. The super-producer is partnering up with Lionsgate movie studio on a new venture called Tyler TV.  

According to the NY Times, the deets are still being ironed out but the network's initial launch will be powered by reruns of Tyler's sitcoms and movies as well as third-party content with a Christianity-slant.

So far, neither Lionsgate nor Tyler have spoken publicly about their plans.  Now this is a BIG f'in deal.  Congrats to Tyler!

LAURA GOVAN Talks Gilbert Arenas & 'BBW: L.A'.: "I'm Still Gonna Be On The Show...Me And That N*gga Good"

So we think we finally figured out what Shaunie O'Neal was talking about when she recenty said the "Basketball Wives: L.A." cast was "a little trashy."

 

Laura Govan, sister of Gloria Govan, just dished on the upcoming season of the new spinoff series.  And chick just solidified herself as the unnecessarily hood chick we'll be side-eyeing all season.  Read about Laura keepin' it classy in her new interview inside...*UPDATED WITH AUDIO*

Laura Govan, ex-fiancee of Orlando Magic baller Gilbert Arenas, dished to Loop 21 about Gilbert trying to legally stop her appearing on the show...and she's still denying sleeping with Shaunie's then-husband Shaquille O'Neal (despite our texts and emails and pics we exclusively posted between the twosome years ago). 

On the upcoming season I have a feeling we'll see the aftermath of Laura and Gilbert getting sued for fraud by a credit card company, Gilbert up and abondoning Laura and all 4 of their kids back in Virginia, and Gilbert putting gag orders on Laura so she doesn't appear on the show and air out their dirty laundry.  But in the meantime, here's a few excerpts from Laura's interview:

On clearing up all the drama surrounding her, Gilbert, Shaq, & Shaunie

For me, I’m not here to clear up sh*t. If I haven’t done anything, I have nothing to clear up. I want people to understand the dynamic of what I actually went through. I’ve never been in the media. It’s always been someone else has the upper hand on that. This was my time to set the record straight on my relationship with Gilbert, my relationship with the Shaunie/Shaquille stuff. It’s been three years. We still talking about that dumb sh-t? And he’s moved on and has 100-past relationships, plus he has a solid girlfriend now. Get your life together! Get the hell out of here!

On if she thinks Orlando Magic's Gilbert Arenas' motion to stop "Basketball Wives LA" from airing will be successful:
Hell naw!...Do I think it's still going to air? Of course I do. Do I think I’m still going to get to say what I want to say? Of course I will. He’s not going to stop that.

On whether her children have been affected by all the public drma surrounding her and her family

Hell naw! They just now learning to read! Now maybe later, they’ll be like, “Damn, y’all were a disaster.” But at this point and time, no, they’re babies. The oldest is five. I have a four year old, a one-and-a-half year old and a two-and-a-half month year old. So, my kids are good. This is what I love about this age. The problem is when they get older. Then, I have to clean that sh*t up, but right now we’re good.

On if she thinks her and Gilbert have a future:
I mean, I do still like the n-gga. ...We’re doing good though. He and I are in a good space right now.
 

Deep sigh.  I mean...really.  Just when I was getting excited about "Basketball Wives: LA".... it already sounds trashy just like Shaunie (who has no room to talk herself) said.  Who knew Laura even spoke like this?  Do we have another Evelyn Lozada on our hands---pretty girl with a trashy and ghetto demeanor?  And, just like Evelyn, a Latina chick who loves to throw around the "N" word when speaking about black men? Sad.  But hey...do you boo.

Zoe Saldana Graces Cover Of September 2011 Issue of EBONY

She's covering her umpteenth September issue of a magazine.  Now 33-year-old Zoe Saldana is "Black, Latina, & Fierce" on the cover of the September 2011 issue of EBONY magazine.

The star of Colombiana, Zoe Saldana, is gearing up or her release later this month.  And she's covering every magazine on the stands in the meantime. 

She appears almost ethereal in an Oscar de la Renta coral and metallic sheer dress with a silver sparkling oversized belt on the new EBONY mag cover.  And the fab chick is discussing being Black and Latina, her brand new movie, and everything else in between.

The cover story, written by Adrienne Samuels, tracks Zoe's Queens/Puerto Rican/Dominican roots as her path to get to superstardom.  And she discusses how her hardcore background parallels overcoming the hardships of black Hollywood:

“When I go after a part, [people] better watch their backs,” she says. “Not because I’m going to crush everybody, but because I’m going to give the best that I can because I strive for excellence. When you don’t get a part, it is for a reason, and these pieces will fall into place soon. … We have a Black president right now, so why the f--- would I sit down and talk about how hard it is for Black women in Hollywood when there’s a Black president in my country?”

Tank's Daughter Jordan's "Lion King" Audition + "Jersey Shore's" Pauly D Confirms Signing With 50 Cent And G-Unit!?

Tank's oldest daughter, Jordan Babbs, had caught the entertainment bug from her father.  We've got the audition footage of her trying out for the Lion King. See the video inside and find out about DJ Pauly D signing with 50 Cent's G-Unit.

Tank aka Durrell Babbs has a very talented daughter named Jordan who auditioned for the Lion King on Broadway.  It looks like the talented YBF kid might follow in Daddy's footsteps and go into entertainment.

DJ Pauly D of the "Jersey Shore" is very close to finalizing a three-album deal with 50 Cent’s G-Unit which will also include the release of a Pauly D headphones, according to XXL.

Pauly, who's currenting on tour with Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj for the Femme Fatale Tour, recently opened up about the deal saying it's close to being done.

When asked how he and 50 hooked up he said,

“50 cent has also been somebody I look up to. We ended up linking up and we just clicked. We hit it off immediately with the music and everything like that. So, I’m definitely gonna be working with him. There’s been talks about the album and the headphones. I’m looking forward to working with that as well.”

Nicki tweeted his praises the other night after their stop in Boston:

Looks like this Jersey Shore ish isn't ending anytime soon.
