Put On Blast: Green Bay Packers’ Safety Charles Woodson Talks That Shizz To President Obama!

Posted: 25 Jan 2011 05:50 AM PST

After the Green Bay Packers big win against the Chicago Bears sunday that has sent them to the Superbowl, ol’ Chucky Woodson got a lil beside himself and talked a lil sh*t to the leader of the free world.

After the Green Bay Packers’ 21-14 victory over the Chicago Bears in Sunday’s NFC Championship game, Packers safety Charles Woodson called out President Barack Obama.

“The president don’t want to come watch us at the Super Bowl, guess what?” Woodson said in a postgame speech. “We’re going to see him.”

Last week, Obama said he would attend the Super Bowl if the Bears beat the Packers in the NFC title game.

At the end of the speech, the Packers players broke out into a cheer of “White House!”

Trust us Chuck, you may have given the Bears a tough time but Barry O isn’t the tree you want to bark up.

What’s Beef?: Alabama Law Firm Sues Taco Bell For False Advertising

Posted: 25 Jan 2011 04:49 AM PST

Despite the fact that we eat it anyway, we know MANY people have always thought that the “meat” at Taco Bell was a lil suspect.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — An Alabama law firm claims in a lawsuit that Taco Bell is using false advertising when it refers to using “seasoned ground beef” or “seasoned beef” in its products.

The meat mixture sold by Taco Bell restaurants contains binders and extenders and does not meet the minimum requirements set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to be labeled as “beef,” according to the legal complaint.

The class-action lawsuit was filed Friday in federal court in the Central District of California by the Montgomery law firm Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles.

Attorney Dee Miles said attorneys had Taco Bell’s “meat mixture” tested and found it contained less that 35 percent beef.
Miles said the lawsuit does not seek monetary damages, but asks the court to order Taco Bell to be honest in its advertising.

“We are asking that they stop saying that they are selling beef,” Miles said.

In response, a rep from Taco Bell says:

“Taco Bell prides itself on serving high quality Mexican inspired food with great value. We’re happy that the millions of customers we serve every week agree,” Poetsch said. He said the company would “vigorously defend the suit.”

LOL! This should be hilarious, wish we could be in the courtroom when these proceedings pop off!

Stop The Violence: 11 Police Officers Shot Across The Country In 24 Hours

Posted: 25 Jan 2011 04:37 AM PST

police funeral

This just makes absolutely no sense.

When two law officers were shot down Monday helping to serve a warrant on Florida’s Gulf Coast, it stunned a state already mourning police deaths in Miami and added to a grim tally for the nation: 11 officers shot in five states in a 24-hour period, two of them fatally.

For the month, the toll on police came to 14 fatalities, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

“That’s not normal,” said Steven Groeninger, a spokesman for the group. “It kind of seems like law enforcement, because of their uniform, have a target on their back.”

The officers’ deaths came just four days after two Miami-Dade County detectives were killed by a murder suspect they were trying to arrest. That suspect was killed by another detective.

Those officers were being remembered Monday at a funeral, where news of Monday’s shootings added to the grief already palpable among the thousands gathered at AmericanAirlines Arena in downtown Miami.

The National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund said in a statement that 14 law officers have been slain in the opening weeks of 2011, and 11 officers – including Yaslowitz and Baitinger – shot in a 24-hour period.

The group said the deaths came after a “devastating spike” in law enforcement deaths last year, when 162 officers were killed in the line of duty. That was up from 117 in 2009. Of the 162 officers, 61 were shot, an increase of 24 percent from 2009.

“I have never seen anything like it,” Memorial Fund Chairman and CEO Craig W. Floyd said in a news release. “The violent events of the past 24 hours in Florida, Michigan, Indiana, Oregon and Washington have been detrimental to America’s peace officers, taking the lives of two and injuring several others. We must do everything in our power to stop these senseless and heinous crimes against our law enforcement personnel.”

On Sunday, a man opened fire inside a Detroit police precinct, wounding four officers including a commander before he was shot and killed by police. The officers’ injuries were not considered life-threatening, Police Chief Ralph Godbee said.

Also on Sunday, sheriff’s deputies in Washington state were shot at a Walmart while responding to a call reporting a suspicious person, according to the memorial group. Police officers in both Indianapolis and Lincoln City, Ore., were critically injured in shootings during traffic stops.

Now what remains to be seen is if news like this makes it open season on law enforcement, or gives authorities a better opportunity to change these odds… which could mean open season on civilians.

Amber Rose & Kim K Diss Video “Wack & Yellow”: Kanye Sported That Groupie Amber Like Drawers… He Didn’t Know [Video]

Posted: 25 Jan 2011 04:19 AM PST

Xavier Pryce’s song itself is not all that, but the message and his interview?:

How did you come up with the song's concept?

"I kept on hearing news about these chicks and I was wondering why. I didn't get it. I was wondering what accomplishments these no-talent chicks had other than being able to suck a grapefruit through a straw and look pretty. Then I see these dudes that's established making themselves look like tricks that are bent on hiring hoes just to convince them they should be wives.

"I heard 'Black & Yellow' on the radio and I just started playing around with the words after I had seen some sh*t on TV with Amber Rose telling somebody to open her door like she was worth something. I just fell out laughing and started repeating wack and yellow, wack and yellow. A n*gga like me, as soon as I say something I feel is catchy, I immediately go to the board and record."

One of the lines is "you're turning groupies into stars." Who's that directed to?

"Mainly Kanye [West]. He was sportin' his groupie like drawers. I got nothing against Kanye. He probably was unaware the whole time 'cause these hoes are professionals. She sucked the life out that n*gga and used the juice to put herself on. I ain't even mad at Amber. The bitch obviously has game, but I can see that bitch coked out and doing porn by late 2011. She's going from the top down in her gold-digging selection; she should've been f*cking rock stars and senators after 'Ye."

We're starting to notice you're not really a huge fan of females in general, are you?

"Ha! I love women—I just hate bitches. It ain't that I'm not a fan, I just call sh*t as I see it. We been dogs and whatever else ya'll wanted to call us since women picked up the mic. I never talk about women in my songs; I think women are the most beautiful things on the planet. It's these vile, despicable bitches that use their insecurity as a weapon against men who don't have enough game to defend themselves from malicious attacks on male common sense and their bank accounts."

NY Jets Braylon Edwards And Mark “Nose-Pickin” Sanchez Got It Poppin After Steelers Loss

Posted: 25 Jan 2011 04:03 AM PST

mark sanchez braylon edwards ny jets

These fools need to start figuring out what the f*ck they gonna do next season vs. poppin bottles and ish:

Despite Sunday’s crushing defeat by the Steelers, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and wide receiver Braylon Edwards partied until early Monday at a New York club where they spent more than $2,500. While Jets fans mourned, Sanchez drowned his sorrows by knocking back shots and chatting up the pretty bartender at Chelsea’s Juliet Supper Club after arriving at 3 a.m., while Edwards ordered Champagne and tequila shots for his table.
Even though he’s a free agent and may not be brought back, Edwards was bullish about the team. He went to the deejay booth, grabbed the microphone and told the crowd, which included actor Greg Bello, Knicks star Roger Mason and model Tyson Beckford: “The Jets will be back next season and will go all the way to the Super Bowl.”

After flying back with the team from Pittsburgh, Edwards arrived at Juliet at 2:30 a.m. with six others. He took a table and immediately ordered a round of tequila shots and an $1,100 bottle of Ace of Spades Champagne. Sanchez turned up with a male friend, headed straight to the bar and knocked back a shot with the attractive brunette bartender. He didn’t know Edwards was already there, but was led to his table by staff, say witnesses. But a spy said, “Mark sat with Braylon for a short while, but soon enough he was back at the bar flirting with the bartender, a gorgeous South American girl, busty with long, dark reddish hair. They were doing shots together and he kept whispering in her ear and holding her hand. He looked pretty enamored, and was at the bar until closing time. He went home alone but phone numbers were exchanged. Edwards’ bill came to around $2,500.”

The players closed down the club at 4:30 a.m. Edwards, who was charged with DUI last September, left in a chauffeur-driven Escalade. One source said, “The club got all the players drivers after that incident. They were taking no chances.” A rep for the Jets didn’t get back to us.

Well at least Braylon was smart enough to have a “chauffeur-driven”‘ Escalade this time

President Barack Obama’s State Of The Union Address Will Discuss “Winning The Future”

Posted: 25 Jan 2011 03:46 AM PST

barack obama state of the union address

Facing the challenge of a divided Congress and a still-recovering economy, President Obama will deliver a State of the Union address Tuesday night that lays out a plan for “winning the future,” according to a Democratic source with knowledge of White House talking points. The speech will focus on strengthening the nation’s ability to compete in a changing world, the source said. “The president will lay out a plan to win the future by out-innovating, out-educating and out-building the rest of the world,” said the White House talking points. “He will talk about the need to take responsibility for our deficits, by investing only in what makes America stronger and cutting what doesn’t, and reforming our government so that it’s leaner and smarter for the 21st century.”

The annual speech to Congress, a nationally televised event that is typically considered the president’s biggest address of the year, brings together the three branches of government on Capitol Hill for an assessment of where America stands and where it is heading. This year’s State of the Union, Obama’s second, comes after his Democratic Party lost its House majority and had its Senate majority decreased in the November elections. Now facing a divided Congress after two years of Democratic control, Obama has signaled a shift to the political center intended to ease the partisan divide in Washington and win back some of the independent support that helped elect him in 2008.

Republicans, however, doubt Obama will change from what they characterize as a big-government ideology. They call for immediate and significant spending cuts to address growing federal debt and already have challenged Obama’s expected push for increased spending in areas the president considers vital for future growth. “Any time they want to spend, they call it investment,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, told “Fox News Sunday,” adding: “We’ll take a look at his recommendations, we always do. But this is not a time to be looking at pumping up government spending in many areas.”

However, signs of disunity on the right between Tea Party conservatives seeking extreme spending cuts and more moderate Republicans are evident, so much so that there will be two GOP responses to the State of the Union. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, the new chairman of the House Budget Committee, will deliver the official Republican response, while Tea Party favorite Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota, will provide her own response on the Tea Party Express website. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs insisted Monday that Obama is ready to tackle the federal deficit and spending issues cited by Republicans while maintaining the ability of the United States to grow and compete globally.

“I think you’re going to have a very long and a very serious conversation in this town over the course of the next year to two years about how we get our fiscal house in order,” Gibbs told reporters, later adding: “This is not about whether or not we’re going to do this, it’s about how we’re going to do this.”
The White House talking points sought to balance the need for deficit reduction and keeping America competitive by investing in education, clean energy, infrastructure and other areas necessary for growth.
“The most important contest we face today is not between Democrats and Republicans,” the document said. “It’s America’s contest with competitors across the globe for the jobs and industries of our time. It’s about winning the future.” Obama will emphasize the nation’s improved economic conditions today compared with when he took office, but also acknowledge continued high unemployment and stagnant or shrinking wages that need to be addressed, according to the document. In addition, the talking points said Obama “will discuss how we can continue to keep America safe and advance our interests around the world.”

“We face big challenges and fixing them will require a lot of hard work and sacrifice from everyone — Democrats, Republicans and independents,” the document continued. “But if we’re willing to come together and find common ground on these issues, then we can win the future.” The speech is one of the major Washington events of the year, full of political pageantry that includes Obama’s formal introduction by the House sergeant at arms. Military generals, Supreme Court justices and other luminaries attend.

Be sure to watch.
