Sherri Shepherd Stars In New TV Land Pilot Posted: 29 Jan 2011 12:40 PM PST Sherri Shepherd is making the sitcom rounds! Besides her HIGHlarious role on 30 Rock and her upcoming apperance on Hot in Cleveland, Sherri will be starring another TV Land pilot, which co-stars Christine Taylor. Sherri will play a woman working at the Rip City Cola office who is curious about the new boss, played by Taylor. Sherri will play the "drama queen." LOLs. RPatz Wants To Play Jeff Buckley! Posted: 29 Jan 2011 12:20 PM PST We have to admit - he looks the part better than any of the other contenders! Robert Pattinson is apparently ready to showcase his vocal stylingz in a much bigger way than ever before - as he's approached producers of a potential Jeff Buckley biopic in hopes to secure the role of the late folk singer! Producer Michelle Sy confirms: "I've met actors who are keen on the part and Robert was one…The actor must be able to play music and sing, or at least make it believable he can do that." And despite competition from James Franco and James Marsden for the role, even Buckley's mother, Mary Guibert, thinks our sparkly vamp is the perfect potential to play her son! She reveals: "Robert is a fine young actor. I'm flattered he's been linked to the project. When the times comes we'll give everybody an opportunity to be seen and heard." He certainly has some tough competition, but this part actually does seem right up his alley! We just hope that whomever ends up winning the part can do Buckley justice! What do U think?? Is Chezza Going To Be A Mentor Instead Of A Judge On American X Factor? Posted: 29 Jan 2011 12:00 PM PST Hmm…we definitely think she should be on the judges panel, but we could understand why execs would be more comfortable with her in this position! Sources close to Simon Cowell have revealed that although he desperately wants Cheryl Cole to make the stateside transition with him to the US version of The X Factor, he may have to change her role to that of a mentor, similar to what Sinitta does on the UK edition of the reality competition! The insider explains: "Simon desperately wants Cheryl to be a judge but if that's knocked back by Fox chiefs the next option is to start her as a mentor. It would be a way to test how she's received in America. Plus viewers would be able to warm to her first, rather than having her thrust upon them by going straight on the panel. The truth is, nothing has been signed and the producers still aren't convinced." Truthfully, we do agree that it's a gamble - but it's one that will DEFINITELY pay off! Chezza just needs to get her feet wet with American audiences, and if that means as a mentor, then we could definitely get behind that! But we would LOVE to see her ultimately as a judge! Transgender Flight Attendands Take Flight! Posted: 29 Jan 2011 11:40 AM PST Inspired! A newly formed Thai airline carrier, PC Air, announced that they have hired their first round of stewardesses - or as they're calling them, "Ladyboys." Yes, in an effort to showcase their commitment to equal employment opportunities, three transexuals, or peoples of the "third sex" as they say in Thailand, were the first to be hired as air hostesses. Peter Chan, the CEO of the new airline, enthusiastically shared the news with sources and reveals his company is open to hiring even more transsexuals in the future. He explains: "I think these people can have many careers – not just in the entertainment business – and many of them have a dream to be an air hostess. I just made their dream come true. Our society has changed. It's evolution. I'm a pioneer and I'm sure there will be other organizations following my idea." We sincerely hope so! Like we always say, equality for all! No joke, we really want to go to Thailand right now, for no other reason than to party 30,000 feet up with fiercest trannies known to man! NKOTB's Jonathan Knight Comes Out Publicly As Gay Posted: 29 Jan 2011 11:20 AM PST All thanks to Tiffany! After she was on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live! and "outed" NKOTB's Jonathan Knight, Jon posted a statement on the band's official website assuring fans that he never hid his sexuality. He writes: "To all my fans who have expressed concern: I have never been outed by anyone but myself. I did so almost twenty years ago. I never knew that I would have to do it all over again publicly just because I reunited with NKOTB! I have lived my life very openly and have never hidden the fact that I am gay. Apparently the prerequisite to being a gay public figure is to appear on the cover of a magazine with the caption, 'I am gay'. I love living my life being open and honest, but at this time I choose not to discuss my private life any further! My fellow band members don't discuss their private lives with their loved ones and I don't feel that just because I am gay, I should have to discuss mine!" Two And A Half Men Goes On Hiatus While Charlie's In Rehab Posted: 29 Jan 2011 10:40 AM PST No big surprise here. Now that Charlie Sheen has (thankfully) entered rehab, Two and a Half Men will go on a production hiatus in the meantime. CBS and Warner Bros. Television made a joint statement on Friday saying, "We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision." Charlie needs A LOT of help and we hope he takes all the time he needs to REALLY recover. Looks like it could be a long time before Two and a Half Men comes back. [Image via WENN.]

Earlier this month, we learned that a bunch of actors were screen testing for the role of Honest Abe, including some unknowns. Now, it looks like Fox and director Timur Bekmambetov have found their Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter star, and his name is Benjamin Walker! Pretty impressive that Walker was able to beat out the likes of Adrien Brody and Timothy Olyphant for the role, especially since he's been doing mostly Broadway work lately. General Hospital To Tackle Male Prison Rape Storyline Posted: 29 Jan 2011 10:00 AM PST Whoa. Powerful stuff. Especially since the character is so young. We're told if you're a fan of the show General Hospital, you probably already saw this coming. Seeing as we've never seen the show, we were pretty shocked to hear they were going to tackle such a sensitive issue. On Monday's episode, the show will finally reveal that Michael Corinthos, played by Chad Duell, was actually raped by another inmate while serving time in prison. One of the show's head writers explained to sources why they've finally chosen now to make the big reveal and how it relates to the story. He explains: "We needed a catalyst, and we realized we had a great one in Abby [Michael's stripper friend played by Andrea Bogart]. Michael will see Abby about to be raped by her ex-boyfriend and he flashes back to what happened to him in prison and goes berserk. In that flashback, we'll see Michael's assault in more detail, though nothing gratuitous or titillating. We wanted to make it clear the assault on Abby has visual and physical parallels to the assault on Michael. The incident with Abby — Michael does save her before she's actually raped — will serve as a kind of catharsis for Michael, and he is finally able to admit to Jason [Steve Burton] that he was indeed raped. He then tells his parents, Sonny [Maurice Benard] and Carly [Laura Wright]." Rape is an awful thing to happen to anyone, but being that Chad's character is so young (a high school senior) just makes it that much worse. However, we were happy to hear that this story line was consulted up with RAINN [the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network] and that a PSA will be airing at the end of the episode on January 31st. Heather Mills Slams Piers Morgan…Again Posted: 29 Jan 2011 09:40 AM PST Heather Mills is obviously not happy about the lifetime ban Piers Morgan placed on her on his new CNN show. Piers banned Heather because after introducing her to ex-husband Paul McCartney in 1999, "I realized I'd pushed one of the world's great gold diggers in the direction of one of my heroes … by way of any tiny reparation I can make to Macca, she has a lifetime ban." Heather is fighting back though saying, "I was very surprised that a reputable station such as CNN could hire such as disreputable man. It seems the USA is completely unaware of the damage he did to our brave British soldiers." She's referring to a 2004 scandal in which Piers, who was the editor at The Daily Mail was fired after the newspaper released pictures of British soldiers abusing an Iraqi detainee were discovered to be fake. During that time, the newspaper said it had been the victim of a "calculated and malicious hoax" and that it would be "inappropriate" for Piers to continue working as an editor. Heather added, "I am shocked that CNN could replace the incredibly classy Larry King with a man who focuses his life on doing harm to others." Since Heather is such a classy woman herself! It's probably best if you just keep your mouth shut, honey.
