The Trials And Tribulations Of The Harry Potter Epilogue Scene

It's the scene a lot of fans say they could've done without. It's the scene some people were dreading when the film was released. And it might possibly be the scene that's garnered the most criticism over the years in the Harry Potter franchise. But how exactly to the stars and creators of the movies feel about the fame Epilogue scene? Let's ask them! But first, some background.

The final chapter of the Harry Potter series finds Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Harry all grown up with children of their own. It's nineteen years later and their kids are heading off to Hogwarts, making the lives of our heros come full circle. The scene in the movie, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows - Part Two, was actually shot twice. The first time, it was shot on location at King's Cross station, but the filmmakers and the actors didn't feel like they got what they wanted out of such a pivotal scene - especially when it came to the makeup.

This was a point of concern for everyone involved, one that could've been avoided if the team had taken Daniel Radcliffe's advice - hire other actors. He believed that putting himself and his friends in prosthetics to make them look older would be "too distracting" for audiences and no one would connect with the emotions of the scene. However, producer David Heyman felt differently and explained that he was insistent on having the kids play older versions of themselves. He said:

"After all we have been through with these characters, the way that a generation has grown up with them, they need to be the ones on screen when it's time to bring it to a close. There's an expectation — even if it is not articulated — that they need to be on the screen when it's coming to an end."

Months after the movie had wrapped, shortly after New Years Eve of this past year, the kids went back into the Leavesden studio to reshoot and hopefully rework some of the kinks. The Potter makeup team went make to basics to try and soften the aging affect on the core characters. As most people would agree, the end result was far from perfect, but then again, there was only so much the team could do. Rick Baker, a seven-time Oscar winner in the field, explains

"There's nothing harder than the human face because we all spend so much time looking at them. You can create creatures and aliens and all of those things but people judge human faces in a different way. Especially if it's a human face they recognize because it's already famous."

And no one's face is more famous than DanRad's ... except Brad Pitt's. They seemed to get it pretty right in Benjamin Button, huh?

Yesterday, Miley Cyrus opted to skip the Teen Choice Awards to spend a relaxing afternoon with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. The pair playfully strolled around El Lay, stopping for a bite to eat ... of each other!

Doug Hutchison's Email Was Hacked…But His Marriage To 16 Y.O. Courtney Stodden Is Fine!

Hopefully he didn't have any incriminating messages in there...we know how THAT goes!

51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison's email was hacked, and he wants the world to know about it:

"I was hacked, and anyone that is receiving questionable emails that are rude, blatantly crude or are saying we want money, please know that they are not from me."

"I've changed my password, my security question, nothing seems to work. So I surrendered - I cancelled all of my AOL accounts that I've had for 13 years."

"I haven't been sending any of those emails. I'm doing everything in my power to protect myself from this malicious hacking and it has been a nightmare to scramble to fix the damage they're trying to do."

Sorry you had to cancel AOL, Doug! We know how loyal AOL users can get about switching services...but we think you'll be just fine with Gmail!

On a lighter note, here's an update from Doug on his marriage to 16-year-old Courtney Stodden:

"Married life is divine with Courtney. We are still so absolutely in love and enjoying the ride together. We will be doing it until the day we die and beyond."

We guess we're glad to hear it, although frankly, we're still pret-ty creeped out by these two (above).

We'll feel a little bit better when she turns 18!

Yes! Lea Michele Would Be "Happy" To Star In A Glee Spin-Off!

We knew we could count on her. A true diva never lets you down!

Gleeks, we know the deal by now right? Ryan Murphy heard our idea for a spin-off starring Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and others called A New Direction and he liked it so much that he pitched the idea to the actors. Lots of crazy stuff happened, some miscommunication came about and ultimately, the project has been shelved until season three of Glee can be sorted out.

But one question still remains: if the spin-off did get picked up, would the actors want to do it? We've heard Chris Colfer has some hesitation with the project, only because it would require him to move to New York to shoot it. However, our beloved Princess Lea confessed at the Glee 3D premiere that not only has she been told about the spin-off, but that she's totally onboard if it takes off! She said:

"The truth is that I have the greatest job. I work with the most incredible cast and I think Ryan Murphy is honestly the most talented man in the entire world, so if [a spinoff] meant I got to keep working with him for a while, I would be so happy."

US TOO! SO HAPPY! Dare we say it? Yes, we must - WE'D BE GLEEFUL!!!

But, we'd want Darren Criss and Cory Monteith to follow along too. Something about the four of you having your own show just gives us happy tingles! It sounds like Lea agrees with us, since she expressed her wish to have Rachel and Finn's relationship go the distance. She adds:

"I have a feeling and I hope that they'll just keep us together for a while. When we left off in the finale she was telling him, 'I wanna go to New York, that's where I'm gonna go when I graduate'. Hopefully they'll stay together and I feel like that's gonna be the deal-breaker."

No deal breaker! Together forever and never too far! Together forever you two!

Here's A Situation For You: Jersey Shore Star Getting Paid 6-Figures To Promote A Tanning Salon

The rich keep on getting richer!

We have to hand it to them. The cast of the Jersey Shore have been handling the hand they've been dealt right. Between the show and endorsement deals, they've probably racked in enough money to take care of themselves for quite awhile, if they aren't spending it like crazy that is.

Take The Situation. As one of the prominent characters on the show, he's been offered a lot of deals over the last few years, each one more lucrative than the next. However, he's about to get his biggest payday yet as sources reveal that his is supposedly making 6-figures to endorse Boca Tanning Club.

But that's not all. Along with the huge paycheck, Sitch has managed to strike a deal in which he and his brother get a piece of the ownership pie in four new salons across New Jersey. In fact, he's already recruiting his loved ones to work in the stores.

Now that is thinking long term. Sure, his name and fame might fade, but people HATE it when their tans does. If he can run a good and reliable business, this could be what he falls back on after the show is over.

Good thinking, Sitch! Smart move!

Joe Jonas' Exs Bond At Teen Choice!

Last night really was a who's who of every tween girls fantasy - and Joe Jonas' love life.

Everyone was there: Demi Lovato, Camille Belle, but his most high profiled lovers were spotted sitting front and center ... together!

Taylor Swift and Ashley Greene seemed to be bonding throughout the show, chatting away about only they know what (but we're dying to know!!!) and even took time out to pose for pictures together.

Hmm. Comparing notes? Stories of woe? Nah, they're both so far beyond that now.

Here's hoping it is the start of a beautiful new friendship!

Sean Kingston Walks Red Carpet For First Time Since Jet Ski Accident

A Family Outing With Selma Blair!

Yesterday, Selma Blair and Jason Bleick took their newborn baby out for some sunshine in Los Angeles. Comfortable and happy, the proud parents strolled down the street with their little one happily nestled in the stroller.

Looking good, Selma! You still have that motherly glow about you!
