So what the hell is going on here? Well, it looks like this conversation is happening post-Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk. The debrief they’re talking about might result in General “Thunderbolt” Ross releasing Emil Blonsky, otherwise known as the Abomination– the villain played by Tim Roth in The Incredible Hulk. Naturally, this is something Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. buddy would like to avoid, so what better way to get around it than to sabotage the debrief by sending in someone who will annoy the hell out of Ross? Given Coulson’s description of the perfect man for the job and the fact that the end of Iron Man2 establishes Tony Stark as a consultant for the Avengers Initiative, I think we can safely assume that Coulson is talking about Stark himself. Any other questions we’ve got, we’re going to remain in the dark about for a bit longer; but I’m perfectly content to sit in happy anticipation for a while, because The Avengers looks like it’s going to be awesome. Oh, also, the second of the two one-shots is apparently called “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer,” a title which happens to be a riff on the title of the Stephen Sondheim musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Sounds like fun! [Via The Mary Sue] Related posts: Post from: Crushable |

| The Dos and Don’ts of Drama, with ‘Degrassi’: Men and Women Can’t Be Friends! Posted: 05 Aug 2011 03:01 PM PDT “Should’ve Said No” parts 1 and 2 were basically Degrassi‘s take on When Harry Met Sally: Dave and KC, both attached guys, tried to justify being friends with hot single girls, when it’s obvious that they want to cheat on their respective girlfriends. Meanwhile, Clare and Jake are playing out the No Strings Attached/Friends with Benefits game of “we can make out and it won’t mean anything” — except when he heads to the movies with Clare’s bitchy newspaper boss Katie. Although there weren’t any fistfights or drug comas, everyone was still in good, dramatic form this week. Related posts: Post from: Crushable |
