He Thinks So Posted: 27 Oct 2010 05:17 AM PDT A Republican candidate has finally said something so racist that even the GOP and the Tea Party don’t have his back. Republican Party leaders in central Illinois are calling on their own candidate for state senate to step down following racist remarks he made at a candidate’s forum last week. Al Reynolds, who is considered the Tea Party candidate in Illinois’ 52nd District, has been out of the spotlight since saying that African American men preferred dealing drugs to going to college, because it is “easier.” “I’ve been in the city and the dichotomy of the women and the men in the minorities, there is a difference in the fact that most minority women, either the single parent or coming from a poor neighborhood, are motivated more so than the minority men,” Reynolds said, when asked what he would do to increase diversity at state colleges. “And it’s a pretty good reason. Most of the women who are single parents have to find work to support their family. The minority men find it more lucrative to be able to do drugs or other avenues rather than do education. It’s easier.” The room was silent as Reynolds made his remarks. (Video below) He continued: “We need to provide ways that are more incentive, other than just sports avenues, for the men for the minorities to want to go to college and get an education and better themselves before the women have to support them all.” The irony here, besides the fact that he shares Star Jones’s big gay ex’s name, is that Reynolds was speaking at an event sponsored by the NAACP. Posted: 26 Oct 2010 03:45 PM PDT For the fourth year in a row, the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust has created it’s list of Top 10 Hottest MCs In The Game. And for the fourth year in a row, people feel some type of way about it. The controversy comes from the fact that “hot” is really a very relative term. Even though MTV’s list is based on specific criteria – “a combination of rhyme skill, flow, buzz, commercial success, business ventures, Web presence and cultural influence – for the fourth year in a row, their definition of “Hot” seems a little… questionable at times. Check out the 2010 Hottest MCs in the Game, from 10-1, with a glimpse into the Hip-Hop Brain Trust’s reasoning. Who else do you feel should have made the list? Who should have been left off?

Jerramy Stevens of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was arrested this weekend after one-time pulled him over in his Ford pickup for blasting his music too loud. SMH. That was the first dumb move. Once the officer approached the vehicle he smelled the distinct fragrance of trees, and we don’t mean the kind you put up at Christmas. After conducting a search, police reportedly discovered 38 grams, or one-and-a-third ounces of marijuana in Stevens’ vehicle. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stevens was previously convicted of drunk driving in 2007 and pleaded guilty to reckless driving in 2003. Buccaneers spokesman Jonathan Grella said the team was “deeply troubled” by the recent arrest. “We take such matters quite seriously,” he said. “Obviously Jerramy Stevens will not be playing today and we will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves.” He was released on $4,500 bond early Sunday, according to ESPN.com. Stevens signed with the Buccaneers in 2007 after spending the first five years of his career with his hometown team, the Seattle Seahawks. The former University of Washington first-round draft pick had 15 receptions for 130 yards and one touchdown last season; he has 202 career catches for 2,217 yards and 22 TDs. He has three receptions for a total of 43 yards and no touchdowns so far this season. Hey Jerramy, you might want to put down the kush and get them yards up. Lookin’ real stupid right now. SMH. Everybody should take a note from T.I.’s L.A. arrest — there is no need to be driving around getting high. Keep that isht at the crib, especially if you’re in the NFL, NBA or have some other ticket out of the hood. If you must toke a lil something in your Ford pickup, at least be smart enough to keep the loud music to a minimum because dumba*ses like you only make cops jobs that much easier. Source

"She's having a boy, but the reason that Mariah didn't want to say anything is because she is 40, and she's superstitious," the insider says.
