Jude Law Pays A Visit To ‘Sesame Street’

Earlier this month we got to see a cute (if a bit odd) video of Colin Farrell on Sesame Street and today we get to check out a new vid of hottie Jude Law on Sesame Street. Jude and some Muppet friends teach kiddies about the word “cling” in this cute new video:

Jude Law acquired a new set of friends when he made a guest appearance on Sesame Street. The 38-year-old actor met a monkey, a mouse and an octopus as he taught viewers of the kids TV show the word ‘cling’. ‘The word “cling” means to stick to. I’d love to show you “cling” but I have nothing here that I can cling to,’ Law said as he appeared on screen. Right on cue a yellow monkey arrived and clung to the Alfie star’s right leg, a blue mouse grabbed his right leg and a purple octopus appeared over his shoulder. ‘Why are you all clinging to me?’ he asked. ‘Because we love you Jude Law,’ the trio said in unison.

OMG … so cute. Yeah, I wouldn’t mind clinging to Jude either ;) After the jump, check out video of Jude Law‘s appearance on Sesame Street in full …


Love it. You can tell this segment was filmed some time ago … before Jude grew out his famous Jude’stache for Sherlock Holmes 2. Facial hair or not, Jude looks very cling-worthy in this cute clip … don’tcha think?

Good Guys & Bad Guys

Last night Darion and I attended a Heroes & Villains themed Hallowe’en party hosted by our friends PJ and Tara and we had a total blast. I decided to dress up like one of my all-time fave villains … Cobra Commander:


Unfortch, Cobra Commander‘s hood isn’t really conducive for Hallowe’en parties so I pretty much only wore it for photos … but we had a blast at PJ and Tara’s party. After the jump, check out some of the photos we snapped last night …


Ugh. Last night’s great time resulted in a splitting headache today … so I’ll have to rest up before tonight’s festivities. I’m excited to wear my second Hallowe’en costume tonight … Stay tuned!!

More Photos Of Christina Aguilera In British ‘In Style’ Magazine

On Thursday we got our first look at Christina Aguilera on the cover of the new issue of British In Style magazine. Today we get to check out a couple photos from her accompanying photospread … behold:


Yep, the photos look like your usual Xtina fare. I have to say, I’m loving the blue tint to the photos … mainly because her make-up doesn’t seem garish at all. After the jump, check out one more photo from Xtina‘s In Style spread …


While I can do without the chunky accessories, I generally like the photos. I’m curious to see if Xtina plans to change up her look at all during this time of transition for her. This would be a great time for her to completely change up her look … and ditch the overused red lipstick. My guess is that these photos were taken some time ago, before all the break-up stuff went down … I’m hoping she’ll really change things up in her next new big photospread.

Shirley Manson Confirms A New Garbage Album & Tour

Back in February Shirley Manson revealed on Facebook that her band Garbage had started recording new music together. In May the Scottish goddess revealed the she secretly got married to an American whose identity she refused to disclose. This week, Manson made an in-person appearance at University of the West of Scotland and not only confirmed that a new Garbage album is on the way but she also revealed the identity of her new hubby:

Scottish singer Shirley Manson showed off her new husband for the first time yesterday. Manson appeared alongside US record producer Billy Bush in Paisley to talk to students at the University of the West of Scotland. In May, she told TV host Craig Ferguson that she had wed an American at a secret ceremony in Las Vegas, but until yesterday she been coy about revealing her new spouse's identity. Grammy-nominated Bush has worked with bands including Green Day, Limp Bizkit, Korn and Muse. Edinburgh-born Manson, 44, who was previously married to sculptor Eddie Farrell, also confirmed she was recording a new album with her band Garbage. "I'm working on a record right now with the band. We've recorded quite a lot but it's difficult to quantify," she said. "It's the first one in a long time. I took about five years off. I'd like to do some touring next year." She did not elaborate on the musical direction of the new album or when it would be released. "We're just winging it right now," she said. Rumours of a new release had been circulating since Manson hinted in February that she had been spending time in a recording studio. The couple were in Paisley to give career advice to commercial music students. The secret of success, Manson revealed, was for artists to talk through their disagreements – and share the proceeds. "When you get into a band, whether you are – the main writer or whatever – split the money equal ways. Then you will have a happy band. They are doing the same work as you." Bush warned students that the road to musical success was long and hard. He said: "There's two things you have to accept in this industry. One is poverty and the other is failure. There's a huge element of failure."

Hot damn! This is great news. I was encouraged by the news last February that Garbage was back in the recording studio … but there had been nary a peep from them since so I was starting to lose hope that a new album was coming. I am SO thrilled to learn that not only can we expect a new album but a tour as well. And now that we know who Shirley got married to, I think we can send the happy couple all our love and congrats one more time. Shirley Manson may not give us news all the time but when she does, it’s the best news ever. Wee! Any Garbage fans out there? Who’s excited for a new album?!

Hugh Jackman Hits The Hay In NYC

Despite the fact that NYC is currently dealing with a massive infestation of bed bugs right now, Hugh Jackman thought it would be a good idea to lay down on a discarded mattress he encountered on the street while out for a stroll with his daughter Ava Eliot:


Now, I love me some Hugh Jackman … a lot, actually … but I cannot even imagine the grossness that he may’ve come in contact with by laying his entire body on that mattress. Forget the bed bugs (even tho their numbers are reaching new heights in NYC these days), the mind boggles at what other substances could’ve been seeped in that mattress … on the street! Let’s just hope, for Hugh‘s sake, that he didn’t come into contact with anything …. infectious. Ew.

The Rally To Restore Sanity And/Or Fear Invades Washington DC

Comedy Central funnymen Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have orchestrated a huge rally in Washington DC today in order inspire people to get interested in this year’s mid-term elections (which take place on Tuesday November 2) and, of course, to poke a little fun at the whole entire political process. Jon and Stephen (and a few of their friends) are holding court RIGHT NOW on the National Mall in DC at their Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear:

I understand that there are satellite rallies taking place all around the country, so if you’re feeling especially inspired you can rally for Sanity and/or Fear in your own neck of the woods. I’m generally of the mind that politics are no laughing matter … but if used intelligently, comedy can sometimes enlighten and embolden folks into political action.

Jake Gyllenhaal Grabs Lunch With Busy Philipps

Our dear Jake Gyllenhaal, who was recently spied in the close company of Country/Pop star Taylor Swift, was spotted enjoying a lunch date with Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps here in SoCal yesterday afternoon. Despite the seeming coziness of the pair, I’m pretty sure there was nothing untoward going on between the two … Jake and Busy are godparents to Matilda Rose Ledger (daughter of Michelle Williams and the late Heath Ledger) and were prolly just having a friendly pow-wow together:


Even tho there’s no rule that godparents can’t be romantic, I’m pretty sure these two are merely good friends. That being said, I think I would much prefer it if Jake were romantically linked to Busy rather than with Taylor. As much as I would love Jakey poo to be single and available (you know, just in case), I think I could live with him settling down with a nice girl like Busy. I think Jake gettin’ bizzy with Busy makes a Hell of a lot more sense than his fraternizing with Taylor.
