Just in time for the Blake Lively-Penn Badgley breakup confirmation, Us Weekly has a shocking report about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. According to Team Affleck-Garner, everything is going fine and the marriage is not in trouble at all. This flies in the face of multiple reports about their relationship troubles, Ben's alleged infidelities, his return to gambling and drinking, et cetera.
The Afflecks certainly don't let work interfere with family time. With Ben Affleck, 38, in Oklahoma shooting a new and untitled film, Jennifer Garner, 38, and their girls make frequent visits. On the agenda? Group outings to local shops and restaurants. But the pair also relish their alone time.
"They're very much in love," an Affleck pal tells Us. Indeed, during a September 3 dinner date at Wilshire in Santa Monica, "They were looking into each other's eyes, holding hands over the table," says a fellow diner.
Adds the friend, "Things are great with them. Do they fight? Sometimes, but what couple with two jobs and two kids don't? They're in a really good place."

I'll buy that Jennifer Garner and the girls have "visited" the Oklahoma set, but honestly, there are photos of Jennifer Garner with the girls in LA almost every day. I look at the photo agencies every day - I know. Jennifer and the girls have been in LA for weeks, and Jennifer keeps trotting out the Dimple Parade every day. So maybe Jennifer and the girls have only visited him once? For, like, a day? In between photo ops?
But that's not the point. The point is that this is the official line from the Affleck marriage - everything is going fine, and there will be no split announcements anytime soon. Interesting…
Us Weekly has an interesting little tidbit in this week's issue. Apparently, comedian and actor Jay Mohr gave an interview to Elle Magazine, and in the interview, he made an oblique reference to a former costar who, he says, was a major pill. Just FYI, Mohr did the interview to promote his supporting role in Hereafter, the Matt Damon film (directed by Clint Eastwood). So it's good to see he's still working, I guess, even though I used to think he was an a–hole. Here's the relevant part of the interview:
ELLE: Tell me about your most awkward interaction with a female celebrity. JM: Being on the set of a movie where the leading woman was unhappy with my presence and made it clear from day one. I hadn't done many movies, and even though they screen-tested some pretty famous guys, I somehow snaked into the leading role. The actress said, "No way! You've got to be kidding me!" Loudly. Between takes. To other actors on set. I would literally go to my mom's house and cry.
ELLE: As luck would have it, I happen to be on the Internet Movie Database right now. The only film that could possibly fit this description is 1997's Picture Perfect, with Jennifer Aniston. That's it, right? JM: I will never, ever answer that.
When Us Weekly contacted Aniston's rep, Huvane had "no comment." Interesting… I think if it wasn't Aniston, Mohr would have said so, so now we know: Aniston was an unprofessional bitch to Jay Mohr back in 1997, when they did that towering work of filmdom, Picture Perfect. God, that was a horrible film. Not even Kevin Bacon could save it.
When I first saw these photos of Sharon Stone at last night's AIDS charity gala, I was slightly overcome. Is Sharon Stone a crazy bitch? Sure. Is she not that talented as an actress? Sure. But this woman can wear the hell out of a black leather turtleneck dress, can't she? The body looks great, and the face is rather amazing too. What a great red carpet appearance for her. Personally, I think Sharon is "dressing her age" while still looking younger and sexier than most women her age. She doesn't look desperate, I think. She's covered up yet she's still showing off her figure. She could give Demi Moore some pointers.
So, here's the question: Should Sharon Stone be style role model for over-40 women? Or is she a style role model for women of all ages? Is she timeless?
Back in Septemeber, Courtney Love showed up for several events looking really great and really "refreshed". Many (like me) thought that Courtney had gotten some plastic surgery to de-crackify herself. Courtney rejected those theories, claiming her new face was the result of "chanting." Well, I guess the bitch stopped chanting, because Courtney stepped out last night for an AIDS charity gala looking like her old crackhead self. I'm going back and forth on this though - The Daily Mail claims that Courtney had a facelift which "fell" rapidly - although I think it might be just bad hair, bad makeup, and bad skin care.
She has been looking suspiciously fresh-faced of late, prompting speculating of a possible face lift. But Courtney Love appeared back to normal last night as she worked the red carpet at the amFAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles, with lines around her eyes and mouth.
Last month she denied reports of a ’stem cell face lift,’ where a patient's complexion is revamped using their own grafted fat tissue. Her appearance at last night’s event is to be expected of a 46-year-old who has led a hard-partying lifestyle for years.
It was widely reported in September that Love had been paying visits to a Park Avenue surgeon in Manhattan, but the Hole singer put her refreshed look down to yoga and darkening her previously platinum blonde hair. The treatment she was thought to have undergone, which lasts five years, plumps up and tightens the skin and stops the neck from sagging.
And while she certainly looks more together than previous red carpet stints, the porcelain doll appearance that prompted the speculation seems to have disappeared.
The singer wore a floor-length silver gown for the gala, held at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, which was hosted by Kylie Minogue to benefit amFAR’s AIDS research programs.
She appeared to struggle with deciding on what to wear, clogging up her Twitter feed earlier in the week communicating with designers about possible outfits.
I think it's possible that Courtney didn't get a "facelift" per se, but was perhaps going in for some non-invasive treatments for her skin, and when she doesn't go in regularly for those treatments, her face re-crackifies. I also think the terrible mom bangs trauma and the strange reddish tint in her hair is doing her no favors.
Mariah Carey has just confirmed her pregnancy! Mariah won't reveal her due date, but does say that "it's still early". Mariah gave an extensive interview to Access Hollywood, which was then previewed on this morning's Today show. She also said that two years ago, she had a miscarriage. Poor Mariah! It’s been talked about for months now, and finally Mariah Carey has come clean: She’s pregnant!
“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true,” Carey, 41, said on the Today show Thursday morning as part of a sneak peek at a three-part Access Hollywood interview. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”
Husband Nick Cannon, 30, joined the interview to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.”
Carey, who also told of a miscarriage two years ago, would not reveal her due date. She would only say “it’s still early” and “expecting is great.” Ever-supportive Cannon said of the loss, “It strengthened our relationship so much … she handled it so well.”
Two years ago, shortly after the couple’s secret wedding, Carey and Cannon were in Monte Carlo for the World Music Awards when Carey took a pregnancy test, and it turned out to be positive. “Only one person knew about this and we were like, um, ‘let’s not tell anybody else,’” Carey said.
A little more than a month later, she miscarried. “It was really sad so we had to just, we had really to absorb this and take it in,” Carey said. Cannon added, “And that’s what I said, like her strength would literally be during the day so festive and smiling obviously for cameras and spending time with everyone and you know, literally that night crying herself to sleep.”
The news, of course, won’t surprise those who have followed the couple’s coy references to pregnancy and babies over the past few months. Rumors flew as the expanding singer seemed to bloom a little more every week, and both Cannon and Carey have spoken about their desire for children.
In August, Carey fanned the flames by stepping out in Brazil wearing a maternity dress. She quickly addressed the ensuing frenzy, explaining she is “superstitious” about pregnancy and promising, “When the time is right, everyone will know.”
Days later, Cannon gushed about his wife’s motherly instincts, telling PEOPLE that “she’s very nurturing.” But not until now have they admitted they’re soon to welcome their own bundle of joy.
Now that the news is out, people will clamor to know the sex of the child. The couple wouldn’t say yet, but eventually Carey will cave, because she loves to decorate.
I'm really happy for Mariah and Nick, and I'm glad Mariah has finally confirmed everything. Now I want her to stop hustling. Mariah has more money than God - she doesn't need to do the promotional heavy lifting now that she's knocked up. Just sit on the couch, Mariah! Take a load off and eat bacon, for the love of God.
True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten, who plays the lovably dumb Jason Stackhouse, is set to take on a much more serious role. He’s been slated to play notorious cult leader and serial murderer Charles Manson in a new film. Kwanten is an amazing actor who doesn’t get enough credit for how naturally and believably he plays Stackhouse. I think a lot of that is just due to the character. The guy is Australian and an intellectual but when you watch that show you never have a flicker of a doubt that he’s a dumbass from the south. Here’s more, from Celebuzz:
NBC reports that the True Blood stud has signed on to play serial-murder mastermind Charles Manson in an upcoming film titled The Family. Kwanten made the announcement while promoting his latest movie, the nouveau spaghetti western Red Hill.
Though the project is still in the early planning stages, Kwanten revealed that director Brad Anderson (The Machinist) is also attached to the film.
Manson is currently serving a life sentence for orchestrating several murders in the Southern California region in the late ’60s, including that of actress Sharon Tate.
This role could be a real breakthrough for his career although I doubt it will be a commercial success. I know I wouldn’t want to see a movie based on those horrible crimes. I’m one of those people who doesn’t even like scary movies though. (Have you seen this video on Pajiba of the top 100 horror movie quotes? It’s fascinating and creeped me out so much.) Real life horror stories just don’t do it for me. If I’m going to get scared, I want to be able to tell myself it’s not real. I’ll definitely watch less creepy segments from this movie just to see Kwanten. I’m very interested to see gorgeous Kwanten transform himself for this role. He’s sure to be incredible.
You know how Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher went to Israel right after the third Star Magazine cover came out calling Ashton an unfaithful douche who screwed around on his wife with random club girls? I'm starting to wonder if the whole "we're working on our marriage and giving the public a united front" thing was just a cover for Demi to get some kind of special Israeli plastic surgery. She looks mega-tweaked in these photos from last night's GQ Gentleman's Ball. Demi and Ashton walked the red carpet together, for the first time since the whole cheating scandal. Demi is not going to leave his ass. And Ashton is powering through - although he doesn't look thrilled about it, in my opinion.
Demi's dress is Balmain Winter 2010, by the way. She also wore Balmain for her red carpet appearance a few days ago, when she flashed her bra in a low-cut, see-through Balmain blouse. I actually prefer that blouse to this dress, which is rather fug in my opinion. Also: the hemline has been shortened? Or is that ragged edge "high fashion"? Did Demi cut her Balmain because she wanted to "young it up" for her first appearance with Ashton? Ugh.
Porn star says she’s not a hooker TMZ and Radar have a bunch of updates on the Charlie Sheen debacle, only some of which seem motivated by TMZ’s adolescent rivalry with Radar. (Which Radar does not seem to be reciprocating, although it’s hard to tell. It looks to me like they’re just reporting what they find while TMZ is working to claim Radar’s scoops are wrong.) First off is this amusing report that the hooker-in-the-closet claims she’s not a hooker and is just a porn star. She’s supposedly 22 and although I would add 8-10 years to that easily, TMZ has uncovered her “audition” tape for porn giant Vivid four years ago, when she claimed to be 18. (Not that it proves much, although she did look 18 back then.) The porn star, stage name Capri Anderson along with a bunch of other aliases, supposedly met Charlie in the bar of the hotel where he was staying. I’m sure he didn’t call her first or anything. Give me a break.
Radar vs. TMZ: Charlie freaked out when his wallet or watch went missing TMZ claims that “police sources” told them Charlie’s freakout happened when he thought an expensive watch was missing. Earlier stories of course had the missing item pegged as his wallet. Radar claims that it was a wallet and cell phone, not that it particularly matters. They did got Charlie to comment on this. As Kaiser mentioned yesterday, he of course downplayed the whole thing and acted like it was everyone else’s fault for paying attention to the fact that he trashed a hotel room and locked a hooker/porn star in the closet.
Radar vs. TMZ: Hooker was locked in the closet by Charlie or had locked herself in the bathroom TMZ has Capri locking herself in the bathroom for her own safety after Charlie flew into a rage while Radar claims that Capri got locked in the closet by Charlie, which is what we’ve been hearing all along.
It’s interesting that Radar is the one who got a quote from Charlie when all of TMZ’s reports seem to heavily favor his side of the story. Whatever happened exactly, and we’ll probably hear a well paid tell all by this Capri woman at some point, the room was trashed. TMZ has photos of Charlie’s hotel room and you can see a couple of broken chairs along with stuff strewn around. It doesn’t look as bad as I was expecting, but it’s hard to tell due to the low quality of the pictures. Charlie has agreed to pay for the damages in full, which are said to amount to over $7,000. The hotel has not pressed charges and it’s thought that Charlie will avoid all legal consequences despite the fact that he has a little over a week left on probation for his Colorado domestic violence plea.
As we've already seen, Lindsay Lohan is still a cracked out hustler and a crackhead liar who will do anything to not face any consequences, ever. She was even busted telling crack lies to the court, and to her probation officer, trying to play the old "I need to work to pay for rehab" angle. No, do I think Lindsay is in debt? Sure. Do I think she should be able to afford rehab? Yep. If all else fails, she should just sell all of that jewelry and clothing she's stolen or been "given" over the past five years. Anyway, Radar reports that Lindsay's lawyer gave Lindsay a strong "talking to" about taking rehab seriously. Apparently, Shawn Chapman Holley warned Lindsay that if she f-cked up between now and February 25 (her next court date), that the consequences would be severe. Like, this time the California judicial system would give her a pony, I guess. Also: a porn company is offering to front the money for Lindsay's rehab if she'll work for them… but not doing actual porn:
Before she was sent back to the Betty Ford Center by Judge Elden Fox, Lindsay Lohan received some tough advice from her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. A source says Lindsay currently seems to have taken her words to heart.
When Lohan appeared before Fox, the judge made it clear to Lohan that she faced six months hard jail time if she provided another dirty drugs test before her next court date on February 25, 2011. Holley then had a serious conversation with Lindsay because, "she wanted her to know the consequences if she messed-up again," a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
At present, Lohan is trying to adjust to being back inside the Betty Ford Center as she tries to get her life and career back on track. "At the moment she is finding it tough being in rehab and she misses her friends and family," the source said.
"She only has one hour of internet access per day and she is using this to stay in the loop with her family and friends while trying to do some career stuff too. Lindsay has not made any great friends inside the clinic, she is just trying to keep her head down and get on with things."
As for the treatment, Lindsay is "taking the counseling seriously though and knows that she is in a place where she is getting help for her problems."
RadarOnline.com has learned that the star is having trouble playing the $150,000 bill for her stay at Betty Ford.
Adult website Tube8.com has offered the Hollywood wild child a job that they said would "cover the anticipated $50,000 fee for Ms. Lohan's rehabilitation at the Betty Ford Center." The site has offered her a marketing consultant job and — in an added bonus — will give her unlimited access to their porn collection.
Lohan, 24, has been at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California since September, where she’s been undergoing treatment for cocaine addiction- a story first reported by RadarOnline.com.
In court Judge Fox told the actress: "If you can make it until Feb. 25, I will make it unsupervised probation. You can put this long episode behind you if you are serious about this."
That one line really bothered me - Lindsay is "taking the counseling seriously though and knows that she is in a place where she is getting help for her problems." I get the feeling that Lindsay thinks rehab is supposed to wash over her, that it's her counselor's job to do all of the heavy lifting, and that Lindsay doesn't think she has to do anything but just physically be in rehab. I've said it before: this girl doesn't "get" it. So throw her in jail until she does "get it". Also: she should totally take that porn company up on their offer. It sounds like a nice gig.
Yesterday we heard a story from Life & Style that claimed that Kendra Wilkinson had turned down an offer to pose in Playboy for the fifth time because she felt self conscious of her post-baby body. An “insider” told L&S that “She just wants to lose more weight before doing it.” Kendra has lost most of her baby weight but hasn’t yet returned to the very fit shape she was in before she had Hank Jr. in December of last year. She looks incredible, but she’s said that she’s disappointed with her shape, that she’s planning liposuction if and when she has another baby and that “being fit and sexy is definitely important to me, and it's what makes me happy.” So it’s not a stretch to assume that she would pass on Playboy for the umpteenth time because she doesn’t feel up to. Kendra told E! though that she turned down the shoot for her husband’s sake, though:

In short, the magazine came calling while the E! reality star (new season premieres Nov. 7) and football player hubby Hank Baskett were living in Philadelphia. At the time, Kendra said she wanted to pose again to prove to people that she was still sexy—that moms can still be sexy.
The 25-year-old mommy of one hired a photographer to take some test shots. Hank didn’t found out about it until he came home that afternoon to find his wife posing in the living room in some rather skimpy attire.
“He didn’t yell at me,” Kendra says. “He wasn’t mad at me for doing that photo shoot. He actually sat down with me and he went over the reasons of doing it. And you know, my reasons weren’t right. I wanted to do Playboy for the wrong reasons. The wrong reasons are to prove people wrong, not to prove it to myself but to people and to put my middle finger up to everybody and be like, ‘I’m going to do Playboy!’ But that wasn’t the right reason, you know?”
Kendra insists she’s feeling really good about herself these days. She’s moved back to the L.A. area with baby Hank Jr. while daddy Hank is off in Minnesota playing for the Vikings. They’re looking to buy a house and settle down on the West Coast. “I feel sexy again,” she says. “No joke, every person I have run across is like ‘Oh, my god! You look so skinny!’ I’m like, ‘Oh, my god, really?’ Like that’s crazy! I haven’t even had a chance to work out!”
And Kendra even showed off her C-section scar for the photographer: “I was like, ‘C-section scar, bitches!’ You know, I don’t care. I can make fun of myself. I don’t really care. At the end of the day I’m not some supermodel. I’m me. I’m Kendra, you know? I’m not trying to be someone I’m not.”
At first I thought that was a bad excuse, since Kendra cashed in on her sex tape when she was married. Maybe Hank really did talk her out of it, and maybe she was leaning towards “no” anyway. As this article mentions, Kendra is currently living in LA while Hank is in Minnesota, but they insist they’re ok and keep the flames burning with frequent skyping and sexting. This is in contrast to earlier reports that they’re on the rocks.
