Alicia Keys Speaks About Becoming A Mom + Kanye And Jay-Z Decide On A Full Length Album

Mommyhood has gotten Alicia Keys' creative juices flowing again.  She took to her blog to tell fans about her motherly inspiration and we have what she said inside.  We also have deets on Kanye and Jay-Z's upcoming album....

 

The birth of Egypt Dean, the first son of newlyweds Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz together, has Alicia Keys making baby music...literally.  The songstress took to her blog and gave an honest account of what it feels like to be a new mother and the miracle of life.  She describes how beautiful life is and how looking at her son inspires her to write music.  Check out her entire blog post below:

"Every moment is beautiful; delicious even! Every moment I'm learning and living in a way I never have before. Being present in a way I never have before. Existing in moments I never have before.

Never have I felt so calm, so purposeful in taking the time to truly observe the world around me, to live in it fully and watch it, discuss it, put time toward it. It feels really incredible - so peaceful, so complete and long overdue.

I'm grown, I'm confident, I'm secure, and so blessed to be these things.

I'm most enamored with anatomy at this point. The miracle of the human body. The ability to create all these small amazing machines of veins, capillaries, digestive systems, eyes, ears and noses. I can spend HOURS looking at one little EAR! Have u ever noticed how complex just an ear is? A tiny maze of art. It may sound silly but it's so true. Or a heartbeat? Everyday we wake up and in some way, take for granted the fact that this beautiful pulsating organ in our body is the reason, and yet now that's all I can think of...

And breath; invisible as it may be, how necessary!

Ain't it true that things we really can't see are of the greatest importance?

I've never seen a more beautiful face in my LIFE! The most perfect eyes and beautiful nose, the sweetest lips and skin so soft and kissable!

Never have I felt such disbelief, such awe, humility, godliness, such strength, power and possibility.

I've never believed in greatness and the never ending Higher Power more than now!

And I can't believe he's mine!

As we originally reported, Jay-Z and Kanye West were going to record a five-song EP, but now the two have decided to create an entire album. Kanye West told MTV:

“We’re putting out a whole album now. We had done five songs so far, but then a few of them kind of were out there – and I put them on my album. Sorry, Jay! We’re going to the South of France at the end of this month just to record new ideas. We’ll probably be done with the album in like a day or whatever. If you think about it, it’s really easy for Jay: He only has to think of, like, 10 verses!”

The album will be called Watch The Throne, and when asked, Kanye didn't suggest a release date for the album.

More Drama On The Set Of "Football Wives"! Does Everyone HATE Pilar Sanders?!

The cast of VH1's "Football Wives" hosted a big premiere party in Dallas, Texas on Sunday evening to celebrate the show's debut.  But, everything is bigger in Texas...including the drama.  Find out which "wives" didn't bother to drive down the street to the party when you go inside...

 

 

The "Football Wives" got together over the weekend to celebrate the debut of their show.  Pictured above from (l-r) are Dawn Neufeld, Erin McBriar, Melani Ismail, Amanda Davis, Brittany Pigrenet and Chanita Foster.  And who's missing?  Absent from the party were Mercedes Nelson and Pilar Sanders.  But why?

The YBF.com reported earlier that Mercedes Nelson may not be returning to the show after she threw a few items at Chanita Foster.  Now, our sources are telling us that Deion's wife Pilar does not get along with the other "wives".  So she had her own premiere party in Dallas.  Even though no one knows who attended hers.

Apparently, Pilar is under the impression that all the other women dislike her...or so she says.  We're told by a source very close to the cast that she declined the invitation to "their" party.  Our source says Pilar is the "difficult one" and she has had arguments with Chanita and Dawn off camera...so the tension runs deep.  Is there a hint of jealousy since Pilar is the one VH1 tauted as the HBIC of the show?

The other women also think Pilar constantly plays the victim and is just "fake."  Apparently we're going to see some of her alleged fakeness this season. 

So much drama for a show with only one episode so far.  I skipped the first one because this ish just seemed lame.  But these chicks are tossing tables and turning down invites left and right.  I may have to watch. 

We'll keep you posted on all the dramatics...

EVENT FAB: Oprah Winfrey Receives The Minerva Award+Estelle, Tracee Ellis Ross, & Others Celebrate With ELLE Magazine

Talk show mogul Oprah Winfrey was honored at the women's conference of one of her BFF's Maria Shriver yesterday as Mary J. Blige and Michelle Obama looked on.  See the photos, plus oher YBF chicks celebrating style with ELLE magazine last night inside....

 

Oprah Winfrey was among the women honored at the annual two-day Women's Conference in Long Beach, California hosted by Cali's First Lady Maria Shriver.  The event brings together international leaders and dedicated humanitarians for a celebration of the remarkable women changing in the world. 

Oprah was one of this year's Minerva Award recipients, which has become one of the most prestigious awards given to women humanitarians.  Congrats O!

FLOTUS Michelle Obama was one of the main attractions at the conference.

She hit the stage with the First Lady of California and event creator Maria Shriver.

The lovely Mary J. Blige was one of the presenters. 

And Minerva Award recipient Oprah Winfrey closed the conference saying her OWN Network would not "tear people down."  

Fab.

 

Meanwhile, the fashionable set was out and about last night celebrating personal style with ELLE magazine at The Launch Of ELLEments Of Personal Style With White House/Black Market.  The event was held in NYC at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art).  

 

Fashion designer Rachel Roy was among the attendees.  I love the shoes.

Former heavyweight boxer, Lennox Lewis, is really looking..mature...these days.

Veronica Webb was spotted inside the event too.  I assume the wet and wild hair is on purpose.

The woman in red, Tracee Ellis Ross, looked fab.  And I like the contrast of the purple shoes with the red dress.

Kid Cudi showed his personal laid back style.

As did choreographer Fatima Robinson.  This outfit isn't my style but it works for her.

Estelle performed at the event.  Cute red dress.

And did a costume change.  I liked the performance dress better than this one, but fab looks nonetheless.

Amber Rose Gets Her Own Show?! + Mariah Carey Meets With The Hubby's Enemy

Amber Rose is getting her own show. Find out the deets, plus Mariah's meeting with Nick's enemy Chelsea Handler when you read on....

 

After Kanye debuted his 'Runaway' film, rumors began that it was directed to Amber Rose and their relationship.  Not sure why, but whatevs.

Amber then took to Twitter in response and announced, 

I Wrote my own show & Will Exec Produce it along with Den Of Thieves! I'm gonna show the world what I'm About! Can't wait to start filming!

For 2 years the media said what they wanted about me without knowing me at all & I kept my mouth shut…. Now, it's my turn to talk.

Never wanted Fame Just Wanted Love….. God dealt me this hand so I'll take it as a blessing

I loved a famous man & He loved me he showed me the World & a Whole new life…. Thank you

 

"Never wanted fame"? Please spare us Amber. This show is her last attempt to extend her 15 minutes of fame. Kanye made Amber famous and after their relationship ended, her popularity did also.

 

 

Nick Cannon and Chelsea Handler's Twitter beef is no secret. The war of words began when Chelsea made a joke about Nick's ability as a comic. The two went back and forth with insults through their tweets.

Now, Nick's wife, Mariah Carey, is meeting with his enemy to promote her Christmas CD, Merry Christmas II You. Mariah will be a guest on 'Chelsea Lately' and the episode airs November 3rd.

Will Mimi handle her hubby's enemy with some wifely claws?  I'm sure Chelsea will have something slick to say so I will definitely be watching this show.

It's a bestie face-off!  Either Ciara and Kim Kardashian hang around each other so much they coincidentally pick the exact same outfits at different times.  Or one person's a swagger jacker.  Either way, decide who ran this look when you read on...

 

Damn, Ciara and Kim K are really besties...sharing clothing tips and styles down to a T!

Last night Ciara rocked a Carven black silk twill ruffled bubble skirt dress ($950) and a sexy pair of Christian Louboutin leopard print ankle boots to the premiere of Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls movie. Cici kept the jewelry to a minimum and only wore a single bangle.

But, Kim K. wore the exact same dress AND similar Louboutin booties, but she wore the studded Lipspikes, while in Paris shopping with her mom back in September.  Kim donned a slicked back ponytail instead of her signature loose curls.  She rocked her black flap Chanel purse.  And she opted to leave the accessories at home.

Rih rocked a hot and sexy Mark Fast white and jewled dress for the cover and this pic.  Absolutely loving this dress.  She also talks about the boldness of her new album LOUD matching her personality.

Oh...so that's what they've been up to.  Remember Saaphyri (who just got released from jail) from "Flavor of Love" franchise and Tanisha from "Bad Girls Club"?  Well they hit up "stylist" Joe Exclusive's Destination 1610 fashion week show in L.A.

 

LisaRaye, her daughter Kai, "Bad Girls Club" chick Natalie Nunn, and Lil Mama were in tow too.  Guard your eyes and read on for the foolywangery...

 

Lil Mama chopped her hair into a bob and hit up the show with LisaRaye.

Willow Smith: "I Want To Be Famous Like My Mommy & Daddy!"

YBF chick of the moment Willow Smith recently gave an interview that goes inside her world, reaching her dreams, and what it's like to be the child of Will and Jada Smith.  See what Willow had to say inside....

 

 

Willow Smith has become a viral sensation with the video for "Whip My Hair" getting more than 7 millions views and her single for the song debuting on iTunes today.  But what sets her apart from many performers is that little Willow has a message to convey. 

In a recent interview witht he AP, she says she wants her music to help everyone follow his or her own path, "to be individuals and do what they think is good and just be themselves." 
 

And growing up, she was struck by the bright lights, big cities and red carpets. So she admits a part of doing what she does is because she wants "to be famous like her mommy and daddy."

With her song being played in clubs and on the radio, Willow said of the song's success, "I just think that it's like, individuality that they're excited about." She's due to release her first album on Jay-Z's Roc Nation sometime next year.

Though Willow played the daughter of her father's character in the blockbuster movie I Am Legend, she was more influenced by her parents' musical careers.  
 

"I would go on tour with them and watch them and I'd be like, 'Oh my gosh, that's what I wanna do.'  I wanted to make a difference now, (and) because I wanted to be big and famous like my mommy and daddy and help people."

She describes her style as "punk rock meets preppy" and says her musical idols include Billy Idol ("his music is really tight") and Lady Gaga.

When asked what the best advice her parents ever gave her was, Willow said it's the same as the message of her music, "They said never be afraid to be yourself," she said, "even when you're in the spotlight."

T.I. Sentenced To Arkansas Federal Prison November 1st!

T.I. was sentenced to 11 months in jail a few weeks ago.  Now he's been ordered to another state to serve his jail time.  And he's got till November 1st.

 

The details when you read on...

Looks like TIP gets to to go back to his previous temporary home of Forrest City minimum security correctional facility in Arkansas.  Today, the judge just ordered him to the same facility he served parts of his previous jail stint.  And the U.S. Marshal just confirmed he's got to be there by November 1st:

 

U.S. Marshal Beverly Harvard on Tuesday ordered T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., to report to the Forrest City low-security prison where he served parts of an earlier 10-month stint on federal weapons charges.

 

The state of California gave him a break and won't charge him for his drug possession charges from earlier this month.  So there won't be extra jail time.  Just the 11 months due to breaking his probation terms and getting arested in the first place. 

Damn...no Holidays or shooting a million videos or community service with the kids.  You got 1 week to get your ish together TIP. Good luck.

With the buzz ringing loud and clear ("Oscar buzz" is what Niecy Nash told us it is), Tyler Perry's movie adaptation of "For Colored Girls" made its NYC debut last night.

 

TheYBF.com hit last night's red carpet premiere.  Our NY correspondent K-Rich to chatted it up with some of your fave celebs and cast members about this history making cast, the movie, and we got Lance Gross to tell us about his secret boo...

Co-star Hill Harper talked about the history making cast and why this movie is important.  Legend Patti Labelle told us what drew her to this movie.
And singers Estelle, Laura Izibor, Ledisi dished to us about working on the soundtrack.

And we didn't let cutie actor Lance Gross get away from us without finding out about this secret new boo of his we keep seeing him in pics with.  He admitted he has "a friend" with him at the premiere--but purposely didn't bring her in front of the cameras. Smart man.  He denied having a girlfriend, but did reveal he has a special friend and "is dating".  You still got a semi-chance ladies....

Swizzy Gets TIED Up For GQ Mag+ Jennifer Hudson, Common, & Lupe Collabo For Gatorade

The song, “We Can Do It Now,” serves as the theme song to the celebrated REPLAY series by Gatorade, which allows old sports rivals to restage games and get their ultimate second chance!
