Video: The 'Best' Of Emma Stone on 'Saturday Night Live'

Posted: 24 Oct 2010 11:18 AM PDT

Going into last night’s Saturday Night Live, I couldn’t remember why I was supposed to care about Emma Stone again. Was she the one from Harry Potter? No, that’s Emma Watson. Julia Robert’s niece? No, that’s Emma Roberts. Too many Emmas! But then I remembered that the Easy A star also played the love interest in Zombieland, which is one of my favorite movies, so I had high hopes. Too bad Emma, despite being an awesome actress with a lovely, deep voice, couldn’t seem to work with any of the flat material the writers gave her to work with. That being said, there were still some funny segments of last night’s SNL! Let’s check them out here.

The Headline News segment reminded us of the uproar of i-dosing a couple weeks back. I remember all the bad kids trampolining and Skyping in my neighborhood when I was a freshman.

The Digital Short was saved from suckiness by the last 30 seconds of rapping grape jelly.

The Sex-Ed skit was classic, but just like the Tiny Hats segment on the premiere, it reminded us of a Tim and Eric sketch it almost definitely ripped off.

After we saw John Mulaney (one of SNL’s writers) do his “I Love It!” bit on Weekend Update, we decided to turn off the program and just Google “John Mulaney Law and Order” for the rest of the night, because it’s 90 times funnier than anything else on the show.

Law and Order!

Zach Galifianakis Wasn't 'In' On Joke Interview, Says Gordon Keith

Posted: 24 Oct 2010 10:52 AM PDT

One of the funniest and most-talked about videos this week had to be Gordon Keith from WFAA-TV interviewing Zach Galifiankis about his latest film, It’s Kind of a Funny Story. It was an intentionally awkward interview that seemed to completely bite off the style of Zach’s Funny or Die series, Between Two Ferns, except this time it was the Hangover star that was stuck trying to answer Gordon’s weird questions (“Emma Roberts looks like she smell good…explain why your character is wearing a sweater?”)

We debated back and forth whether Zach was “in” on the joke from the beginning, and this weekend Gordon answered our queries on his personal webblog:

To answer a few important sexual questions. Zach Galifianakis is brilliant, and a damn fine actor. No, he was not "in" on it. There was no "in." I suck as an interviewer, hence I throw them comedic softballs that they can hit outta the park. I thought Zach did just that. "Don't forget to smell Emma" is my new ringtone….

It seems like “Awkward Interviews” are something that Gordon does with most of his celebrity heroes, like you can see in this one with comedian Will Arnett. That’s not to say that Zach didn’t wise up and start reacting as if he didn’t get the joke (which he definitely figures out), but it still took a lot of balls for Gordon to try to out Galifianakis Galifianakis.

Watch the interview here:

Watch the latest Between Two Ferns with Bruce Willis:

We look forward to seeing more Gordon/Zach pairings!
