Kanye premiered his new movie short "Runaway" at Landmark's Sunshine Theater in Manhattan last night.  It was chaotic scene of tons of people and event staff making people stash their cameras and cell phones in ziploc bags, but fun times nonetheless.

Celebs Love The School Kids: Keri Hilson, Shaq, Rick Ross, & More

It's been a busy week for some of the YBF celebs who have been in various spots around the country inspiring the kids in their own ways.  See what Keri Hilson, Big Boi, Shaq and Rick Ross have been up to inside.....

 

 

Big Boi and Keri Hilson surprised 1000 high school students on Thursday in Chicago, Illinois.  Joining MTV News correspondent Tim Kash, the trio spoke to the elated students as part of the Get Schooled National Challenge and Tour.  The purpose of the tour is to engage students and encourage them to improve their high school graduation rates, with the goal of increasing college completion rates.

Big Boy told the kiddies:

"Before I started doing music, I was actually going to school to study child psychology, but, when I was in 11th grade, we went platinum," Big Boi revealed. "But I still finished and graduated with honors…you need that."

 

 

Talking about her own experience, Keri said,

"I juggled a lot in high school.  I had to learn balance...I had to learn to prioritize my time. I think that is the key to making it through high school in life in general, is knowing what's important, attacking that and executing everything." 

Keri added that she was also co-captain of her high school basketball team, in addition to participating in theater.

Great message for the kids.  I hope that went over well.

 

 

And over in Boston at Harvard University, NBA Baller Shaquille O'neal made a strong and solid appearance as a statue on the campus.  He sent a simple tweet to his followers about posing in Harvard Square, and when he arrived, he stuck a post as a "sitting man" for nearly an hour.  Fans posed for pictures, rubbed his head, blew kisses and tried to make the Shaq laugh.  He had promised the stunt two weeks ago on Boston sports radio station WBZ-FM.  

Yesterday Shaq tweeted at 2:15 p.m., “On my way to Harvard Square. Statue time.”

And because Shaq is one of the most recognizable people in the world, the crowd soon swelled to hundreds. By 3 p.m., Shaq was done.  He later said, “I can now tell everybody I went to Harvard.”   

 

And last but not least, Chrisette Michele and Rick Ross rocked out for Morehouse and Spelman's homecoming week.

And it looks like Miss Michele sang her heart out.  She performed "I'm A Star" from her next album Let Freedom Ring out Nov. 30.


 

The Teflon Don came through as well to drop some urban knowledge on the students.

I hope the entertainment provided translates into higher grades for all the students.  Good to see celebs pushing for education. 

"Celebrity Apprentice" Ladies Mess Up Pizza for Charity, NeNe Is The 'Diva' Of The Show

On an episode of Donald Trump's 'Celebrity Apprentice', the women were given the job to deliver pizza for charity. Find out what went wrong when you read on plus info on how Nene is the 'diva' of the show...

 

Some of the women on 'Celebrity Apprentice' include Star Jones, LaToya Jackson, and NeNe Leakes. During a challenge to sell pizza for charity, the women messed up a delivery to BET Networks. BET had already donated $9k to the ladies' team.  But the ladies couldn't deliver the pizza because they were 'overwhelmed' .

Star Jones delivered nine pizzas the following day to make good on her promise.

Too overwhelmed to deliver pizza? Never heard that one before...

Nene is also known as the diva on the show. A new report says since the show began, Nene has been a thorn in the side of the producers. She even dismissed the makeup team and did her own makeup for the title sequence.

Maybe the producers haven't watched "Real Housewives of Atlanta"...

 

SPOTTED: Antoine Dodson Goes Hollywood!

Yes--its true.  "Bed Intruder" Youtube ~sensation~ Antoine Dodson has gone Hollywood.

 

Paparazzi cams spotted everyone's fave "homeboy" kickin' it thousands of miles away from his Huntsville, Alabama home.  Pics when you read on...

Sigh.  Antoine hit up Mel's Drive-In on Sunset Blvd. in L.A. last night.  And he brought his actress friend Kali Hawk (from Couples Retreat) along for the foolery.

Was Kali trying to dress like him? Is Antoine in Hollywood promiting his new Halloween costume?  Will Hype Williams direct a video for the "Bed Intruder Song"?  Does he press his own hair?  Was the red bowtie supposed to match the red trimmed shoes?  Is that a white hearse or a white limo?

So many questions...

Ne-Yo & His Baby Mama Monyetta & Others Hit The 2010 Angel Ball

Folks hit the 2010 Angel Ball to Benefit Gabrielle's Angel Foundation at Cipriani Wall Street last night.  It was hosted by Denise Rich, and her celeb friends like Ne-Yo came out to perform and support.

 

We've got the pics when you read on...

Ne-Yo brought his baby moms Monyetta Shaw along for the Ball.  Looks like she'll be ready to drop that baby soon.

And he also had his mother Lorraine Smith on his arm.  OK Lorraine.  I see you working it out in purple.  Wish she would have chosen a clutch instead of this big Louis bag.  But oh wells.

Model Jessica White rocked a long black glitzy gown. And a high split to show off her gams.

Actress Rosie Perez came out to support.  Looks like she's recovered well after her accident on the "Law & Order" set a few months ago that had her in a wheelchair and neckbrace.

Not loving this dress for Shontelle.  Reminds me of a bridesmaid.

Both Shontelle and Ne-Yo performed for the Ball goers.

And Russell Simmons kicked it with host Denise.  Fab times.

OH REALLY: NeNe Leakes Reveals ALL Her Plastic Surgery!

TheYBF.com was the first to break the news that NeNe Leakes' got some plastic surgery on her nose when we posted the first post-surgery pics of her back in May.  But she's remained mum about confirming what work she's had done.

 

It's being addressed on next week's episode of "Real Housewives of Atlanta".  But we've got her plastic surgery admissions now when you read on...

42-year-old NeNe, who admits she's vain and now wants botox, dished to People magazine about all the work she had done in between "RHOA" seasons.  We figured this chick was just holding out for a payday. 

She's had a nose job, of course, a downsize of her DD implants to a D, a breast lift, and liposuction.  Not surprised by any of it as we figured a whole lot was different about Mrs. Leakes this season.

The now size 8-10 NeNe says she feels "so confident" after her surgery, and after losing 15lbs pre-lipo.   

NeNe 2.0.  Guess you gotta put your reality tv checks to use somehow....

CANDIDS: Gabby Union Can See Clearly Now

"Look Ma! No Contacts!"  Gabby Union was spotted looking like a happy camper after leaving her Lasik eye surgery appointment yesterday in Florida. 

 

We've got the pics of Gabby donning the ~cool~ Lasik protective shades after leaving the doc's office when you read on...

Looks like Gab made sure to get comfy in her boo Dwyane's basketball sweats.  And seeing that the cameras are all up in her appointment and she's strategically flashing the logo'd bag, I wonder if she got this procedure complimentary in exchange for some pub.  Not a bad deal for a procedure that'll cost you up to $5K...but oh so worth it.

Makeup free (it's a requirement pre-surgery) and still uber cute.  Fun times at the doc's office...

T.I. Sued For Missed Concert Appearance+Kelis Does Italian VOGUE

T.I. is being sued by an angry promoter over a "Welcome Home" concert that didn't exactly happen. Get the deets on that plus see Kelis' Italian VOGUE Mag spread inside.....

 

 

T.I.'s legal team has about as much free time as Bishop Eddie Long's lawyers.  Now, Carl D. Davis, a concert promoter has filed a lawsuit against T.I. in Alabama over a "Welcome Home Party." 

In the court documents, Carl says he flew to Atlanta and gave over $80,000 to representatives for T.I. to confirm his performance.  The situation got messy when T.I. hit local radio station 95.7 FM and stated that he would host the party, but not perform.  Carl says T.I.'s announcement caused many fans to question the validity of the concert, resulting in an extreme amount of stress on him.  He was ultimately hospitalized over the ordeal because he claims he lost his entire life savings of $350,000.  Wow.  That's a bit dramatic Carl, but if you invested a lot of money....I understand.

"Coupled with his financial expenditures since the inception of the agreement, Davis began to experience heavy stress, suffer chest pains, nausea, emotional distress and hospitalization because of the vast amount of investments he made," said Davis' lawyer.

Now that we have a financial figure, I think I'd probably have intense stomach pains too if I lost that much money.  Let's see how T.I.'s team handles this.

Well, Does This Help Explain The 50 Cent & Soulja Boy XXL Cover?

After 50 Cent and Soulja Boy's November XXL magazine cover came out yesterday, it raised a few eyebrows.

 

Their behind the scenes footage may explain why they did a joint cover.  But it's up to you to decide if this was the best pic XXL should have used.  Read on for the vid...

In the footage, 50 gave off the vibe that he's pretty much taken Soulja under his wing and is playing the big brother role.  50 said:

"If I had to wish to be any other artist in the industry right now, I'd wish to be Soulja Boy."

Which may explain their joint cover.  But it doesn't explain why they chose this particular shot over all the others we see in this footage.  Just sayin'....

Nicki Minaj poses for NYLON magazine this month where she told them (in a faux British accent) that she is excited about her new album and going on the road.  She hopes to get to know her many fans around the world.  She also added, "I can't live without makeup wipes."  *moves eyes back and forth*

In celebration of its partnership with UNICEF and their new children's collection, Gucci has pledged  $1 million to UNICEF's ‘Schools for Africa’ initiative which focuses on Mozambique and Malawi.   Gucci/UNICEF is joined in this partnership with J. Lo.  Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini says, "I am honoured that Jennifer Lopez has agreed to work with me on the campaign for the new Gucci children's collection. I have always been a fan of Jennifer's both as a musical artist and an actress, but now most of all as a devoted mother.”

Jennifer Lopez began her relationship with Gucci by attending the fundraising event Gucci hosted in New York back in 2008, which raised over US$ 2.7 million for UNICEF. She says,

"I was particularly inspired when I first met Frida in 2008 at the fundraising event she hosted in New York to benefit UNICEF. When Frida told me about her trip to Malawi and her excitement about launching her new children's collection, I was inspired by her idea to build upon Gucci’s long term support for UNICEF with a donation in honor of the launch of the collection."  As a mother, I am proud to be a part of this campaign to benefit UNICEF's Schools for Africa program."
