Actors and on-screen brothers Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder made an in-store appearance at the Hot Topic at Sunset Place in Miami, FL yesterday as part of The Vampire Diaries Season 2 Mall Tour. Here are a few photos of Paul and Ian at yesterday’s event:


I understand the guys spent a lot of time meeting and greeting the fans who came out to see them. Other castmembers from The Vampire Diaries are touring elsewhere but it sounds like the place to be was in Miami yesterday to see the hot VD brothers ;)

The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Last night David and I met up and hung out with our really good friends Tamar, Ollie, Rob and Caleb after not seeing those kids for far too long. We’ve been meaning to all get togther and it just hasn’t happened. Last night, tho, we all convened for food, drink and spirited conversation and had the best time ever. After a quick trip to the liquor store to pick up a bottle of Crystal Skull Vodka, we retired to Rob and Tam’s place to carry on the drinkin’ and conversatin’:


I got peer pressured by EVERYONE to jump on board the latest social networking bandwagon called Instagram … so, you can check out any photos that I post using that fun app on THIS Tumblr page.


I’m not sure how long I’ll stick with this new social networking toy but … meh, we had fun with it last night.

Not sure what the plan is for tonight … David and I may go back to Rob and Tam’s so we can screen the new Dexter promo DVD I just got that has the next 3 eps of the show. There will be no more Crystal Skull Vodka, tho. That shizz is way too smooth to drink responsibly … oy!

It is time, once again, to say hello and meet the Hot Dude of the Week. This week’s specimen was photographed by the extremely talented Rick Day who managed to capture the essence of said Hot Dude in relaxing repose on a comfy-looking bed. Say hello to Seth Kuhlmann:


My guess is that Hot Dude Seth, here, prolly just got in from a spirited game of soccer (or some other athletic event that requires the use of tiny shorts) and decided to lay out on the best to rest his weary muscles. See, the poor guy was so tired that he couldn’t even peel off his socks. I don’t know about you but my fave part of any athletic event is the part when it’s over and it’s time to strip off those sweaty clothes and relax. I think Seth is a perfect example of that happy time. Enjoy!!

Jason Trawick Runs Out For Take Out

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen photos of Britney Spears beau Jason Trawick here on the blog so you can imagine how happy I was to find new photos of Jason out and about here in SoCal this weekend. It would seem that Jason managed to pry himself away from his ladylove long enough for him to go on a mission to pick up some take out food:


I imagine that our dear Britney just wasn’t feeling up to venturing out in the cool LA weather and decided to send out her hot man to bring her back some food. Jason strikes me as a great boyfriend and I’m sure he was happy to oblige. As nice as it is to see Jason out and about all by his lonesome, I hope we get to see photos of Britwick out and about together … especially with Hallowe’en just a week away, I’d love to see what they are dressing up as for Hallowe’en this year.

Alex Meraz, Corey Monteith & Trevor Donovan Hang With Some Kids At The Pumpkin Patch

Actors and Op spokesmen Alex Meraz (from Twilight), Cory Monteith (from Glee) and Trevor Donovan (from 90210) made their way out to Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch in Culver City, CA to host the Op Halloween Treat For Kids event yesterday afternoon. The guys hung out with a select group of lucky kids who were treated to face painting, pumpkin painting and general Hallowe’en fun … here are a few cute photos:


I know we’re used to seeing photos of famous families (like Heidi Klum and fam) and individual celeb parents (like Halle Berry and Christina Aguilera) taking their children to the pumpkin patch but I think these photos of these young men hanging out with the kids at the pumpkin patch are just too adorable. It looks like the kids featured here are all boys … which is even cuter. I didn’t grow up with a big brother in the house so I can appreciate how much it must’ve meant to these boys to have Alex, Cory and Trevor devote some of their time to hang out with them. What a fun event!

SyFy Announces Another ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Spin-Off Series

Great news Battlestar Galactica fans, Deadline is reporting that SyFy has ordered a 2-hour pilot for a proposed new prequel spin-off series of the franchise. As you may know, Caprica (the current BG prequel spin-off) is still in its first season (with the hope of a season 2 pickup soon) so the folks at SyFy think it’s a great time to introduce another spin-off series that is set in the 10th year of the Cylon War and is focused around the young Academy graduate William Adama (who is just a kid in Caprica and is the seasoned admiral in Battlestar Galactica). Here are the deets about this new spin-off series:

SyFy is going back to the Battlestar Galactica well. After launching prequel Caprica, which is now airing the second part of its first season while awaiting word on a second-season pickup, the cable network has greenlighted a two-hour pilot for Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome or BGBC how it will probably be known in the Battlestar fan universe. The pilot, about the young years of Ensign William Adama, hails from Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick and Universal Cable Prods. and will involve CGI and virtual technology.

I am a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica and was very sad when the series had to end … but, to be honest, I never really got into Caprica. I watched the series pilot movie but it just didn’t win me over and I decided not to watch the series. That being said, I’m very interested in this new proposed spin-off that focuses on the young William Adama. JJ Abrams found great success with his prequel version of Star Trek which focuses on the young crew of the USS Enterprise … I really think that SyFy can enjoy that kind of success with Battlestar. Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, a sentient robotic race, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a brash rookie viper pilot enters the fray. Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20's and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet… the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet. "The 'Galactica' universe as re-imagined by Ron Moore and David Eick is rich with possibilities and backstory," said SyFy’s Mark Stern. "We jumped at the chance to revisit the William Adama character and explore this exciting chapter in the BSG narrative which falls between the events of the original series and the prequel, 'Caprica,' currently airing on Syfy." "While maintaining the themes of politics, social propaganda, and the timeless question: what does it mean to be human? – 'Blood & Chrome' will also return us to the authentic, relentless depiction of combat and the agony and ecstasy of human-Cylon war, which was the hallmark of 'Battlestar Galactica’s' early seasons," said Eick. Michael Taylor wrote the teleplay from a story by Eick, Taylor and Bradley Thompson & David Weddle.

In the end, it all comes down to the writing … Battlestar was such a great show because the writing was so fantastic. I have been hearing great things about Caprica (particularly the fantastic writing) so I may have to give that show a second chance. I am really excited about Blood & Chrome tho … I’m in desperate need of a new sci-fi series to fall in love with. Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome sounds perfect. Any Battlestar fans out there … does this sound like a great idea for a new series to you?

Prince William & Kate Middleton Step Out Together For A Wedding

When last we saw photos here on the blog of his Royal hotness Prince William and his ladylove (and soon-to-be-fiancee?) Kate Middleton out in public together, they were flitting about together on a snowmobile on holiday in the French alps back in March. This weekend, the couple surfaced in England together dressed to the nines as attendees of a friend’s wedding. Seeing these two lookin’ so snazzily dressed up together you can’t help but wonder … are they the next to walk down the aisle together?

It may not have been her wedding, but Kate Middleton beamed a wide smile as she joined Prince William at the nuptials of a close friend in England on Saturday. The couple, both 28, who have been dating on and off for about eight years, lit up the English countryside just a day after getting back from a safari break in Kenya, Africa. Middleton appeared every inch the princess-to-be in a bright blue dress, fitted black jacket, sky-scraping heels and a huge hat adorned with feathers. “She looked so happy,” an observer tells PEOPLE. The prince was dapper in conservative tailcoat and purple tie, smiling for fans and photographers as he arrived with Middleton at the church in Northleach. “They were both so relaxed, and she looked incredibly demure by his side,” adds another observer, royals author Judy Wade. “She was very much his fair lady in her big picture hat. You get the impression it’s the sort of wedding they would wish they could have – in Gloucestershire with friends, rather than a big formal wedding in central London.” The couple were at the service for friends Harry Meade and Rosie Bradford at St. Peter and St. Paul church in Northleach, Gloucestershire. At the end of the ceremony, the pair walked away from the church to give the waiting photographers a clear shot.

OMG … they are SO next to get married … you can just feel it. Making a very public show at this friend’s wedding seems like the perfect way to ease folks into the idea that they are about to announce their engagement. As you may recall, we learned last Spring that the British Royal Family was getting close to making a “huge announcement” and it is widely believed that the announcement has to do with Wills and Kate gettin’ hitched. Thus far, no such announcement has been made but … I would not be surprised if we do hear of a Royal wedding to come very very soon. William and Kate look so great together … I would LOVE to see them get hitched, wouldn’t you?

Céline Dion Gives Birth To Twin Babies

Congratulations are in order for Canadian chanteuse Céline Dion and her husband René Angélil because yesterday morning the couple became the proud parents of twin boys born at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. As you may recall, we learned back in July that Céline was pregnant with twin boys and in September we got to see one of the only photos of Céline showing off her baby bump during this pregnancy on the cover of 7 Jours magazine. Because Céline and René had difficulty having children in recent years, she stayed out of the spotlight in order to focus on her health and the health of her babies … and it worked! Céline is now the new mother of twin baby boys who were born just one minute apart:

Céline Dion is a mom again – times two! The singer, 42, gave birth to fraternal twin boys on Saturday at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., at 11:11 a.m. and 11:12 a.m., her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Celine, René and their son René-Charles are thrilled,” says her rep. One of the babies weighed in at 5 lbs., 4 oz., with the other at 5 lbs., 10 oz. Dion’s doctor, Ronald Ackerman, said at a press conference outside the hospital Friday evening that the delivery, done via C-section, went as expected. He also revealed that the twins were both born with a good amount of hair. The twins are healthy, says Dion’s rep, but will spend the next few days in an incubator because they were born premature. “Celine is resting now and they plan to discuss what to name the boys when she wakes up,” the rep adds. “René-Charles has been to the hospital to visit his brothers and is just so excited they are here.”

It’s always very happy news when any baby is born but this is especially happy because of the fertility problems that Céline and René had experienced in recent years. It was plainly clear that the couple really wanted to have another child … and now they have two new children! Let’s send all of our love and congrats their way … I can’t wait to see what the new teeny weeny babies look like :)
