Orenthal Jones is finally getting some love from his children:

O.J. Simpson’s daughter Sydney has finally forgiven him for killing her mother, and she’s planning to visit him in prison for the first time, sources say.

“Sydney still believes that her father murdered her mother, but she wants to make peace with him and tell him that she forgives him,” a family friend revealed. “She said, ‘Murderer or not, he’s still my father and he’s the only parent I’ve got. I can’t abandon him.’” Simpson, 63, was acquitted of the 1994 murders of Ron Goldman and his ex-wife Nicole – mother of Sydney, 25, and her brother Justin, 22.

The Juice’s now serving a 33-year sentence at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center since December 2008 after being convicted on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. The disgraced footballer had told Arnelle how despondent he was feeling and how he desperately loves both Sydney and her brother and misses them terribly.

“Arnelle was so concerned that she called Sydney and advised her to go see their father.”

SMH. Wow, if this is true, good for them for forgiving and moving on…but damn.

Last night’s episode of VH1′s “Basketball Wives” featured a very uncomfortable, albeit way overdue between the show’s one original married couple: Eric and Jennifer Williams. And it raised a few questions.

Primarily we wondered why Jennifer was holding on so tightly to a loveless marriage, one in which she can’t even get in touch with her husband from one day to the next. Like Eric, we wanted to know why drama queen Jenn wouldn’t just walk away from a situation that clearly makes her so unhappy.

Then, tapping in to a rare moment of depth, Jenn said something profound: married couples fall in and out of love all the time. What makes the marriage last is the couple’s dedication to making it work.

So we ask you, if the love is gone, do you tough it out until it’s back? Or is the absence of love the greatest reason to walk away from your marriage?

A father has been accused of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his six-year-old son more than 20 times. Police say Xavier Thomas knifed the boy, also called Xavier, after they had watched a New Year’s Eve fireworks display together near their home in Tampa, Florida. The boy was taken to St Joseph’s Hospital but his injuries are not said to be life-threatening. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said Thomas was being held without bail in Hillsborough County jail.

Today it emerged the alleged attacker had been suffering from psychiatric problems after watching two friends shot dead in separate incidents. His grandmother, Yvonne Mickles, said: ‘One of the boys died in his arms.’ She said of the attack on Xavier Jr: ‘That baby was an innocent bystander. I’ve talked to God and thanked God so much that he saved that baby, spared that baby’s life.’ Police say Thomas was not married to the boy’s mother and did not have custody of the child.

Good thing little Xavier wasn’t hurt…hopefully big Xavier is getting some help…pronto!!

The interwebs were all abuzz yesterday with news that the First Family was expecting a new addition in 2011. The rumor spread like wildfire on Twitter and one website even reported details, quoting a White House source.

According to this source, Chelly-O is about three months along and due in July. The family is ecstatic, the source says, and though it’s way too early to tell the sex of the baby, your man Barry-O is hoping for a boy, of course.

Sadly, this rumor is nowhere near true. The First Lady is not pregnant, and the White House did not hold a press conference in Hawaii to make the announcement.

But there is a psychic predicting that the Obamas will welcome a new little person in the White House.

The ‘first couple’ may even have twins as siblings for daughters Malia and Sasha. The psychic told the Toronto Sun newspaper: 'There will be a sense of togetherness and a return to family life.'

Of course, she has also predicted danger for the existing Obama children and for the first family generally.

While the Obamas will be celebrating baby joy this year, the family isn’t really firing at the other end of the political spectrum.

Nikki says that former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be heading for a particularly 'messy' divorce.

The psychic would not give any more details – such as the potential of a third person being involved in the split – but, whatever the reasons, reality TV producers might want to start thinking of a way to market the break-up.

In other political predictions, Nikki says that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Other big predictions for 2011: George Clooney will get married and Lady Gaga will become an actress. SMH.
