Think back now, if you will, to your freshman year of college. Remember the hookups and the late-night parties. Remember waking up at 1 in the afternoon and then hitting up the dining hall for all the free food you could eat. In between all the partying and overeating, do you actually remember any of the classes you took that year? Don't lie because we know the truth - you don't. Researchers have learned that after two years in college, 45% of students showed no significant gains in learning! That's pretty much HALF of everyone who went for their bachelor's degree. But don't just blame yourselves, freshman. Sure, your brains are more fixated on socializing and getting laid in your first few years of higher learning, but maybe if you had some better motivation, you'd study more. The study conducted to gauge these results also found that teachers tend to be more "focused on their own faculty research than teaching younger students." For shame, educators! Don't you guys take an oath or something! But things don't get all that better as time goes on either. After four years of school, 36% of the original 45% that didn't learn anything showed little change. Obviously, universities are making real winners out this generation. Money well spent parents of America. Thank goodness the apocalypse is coming. |

Looks like Fox News has got Sarah Palin's back, big time! Joan Rivers was set to appear on FOX & Friends tomorrow to promote her new show, but she's been banned from the program after talking smack about Sarah Palin. Rivers said that Palin is "stupid and a threat," and that she deserves partial blame for the Arizona shooting. These comments did NOT sit well with Fox. Don't worry, Joan. | Meryl Streep Sits In On Houses Of Parliament Session To Prepare For Margaret Thatcher Biopic Posted: 19 Jan 2011 12:30 PM PST
We're not surprised to hear that she's taking the role so seriously! She is the BEST for a reason, you know! Meryl Streep recently signed on to play the part of former UK head honcho Margaret Thatcher in a biopic called The Iron Lady, and was reported to be in attendance this morning at the Prime Minister's Question Time at the Houses of Parliament, in order to properly prepare for role. Although the film will allegedly focus on the 17 days before the 1982 Falklands War, which was between the UK and Argentina, Thatcher was known to take part in two 15 minute Question Time sessions a week, so we think this is probably a smart way for her to start doing her homework! Good lord, is there anyone this woman cannot play?! We're very curious to see how she fares in this one! Thoughts?? [Image via WENN.] |

There are those who suggest that JLo copied this song's melody and lyrics for her new single. As they both worked with the same producer, RedOne, on each of their tracks, the accusation may not be that far off. But give it a listen (above) and tell us if you can hear the similarities. We'll see if this remains to be the case by the end of the hour. Rumors have been running rampant confirming and denying Camille Grammer's return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for a second season. As of right now, we're hearing she's poised to return and has even struck a deal with the producers at Bravo yesterday. As we hear, they reluctantly gave into all of her demands so that she'd agree to stay on the show and drive her costars crazy for a little while longer. What other Jennifers do men consider HAWT? 33% chose Love Hewitt, and 13% chose both J. Lo and Garner. As far as Kates are concerned, runners up for "most stylish" include Bosworth with 41%, Moss with 9%, and Gosselin at 3%. What about Jennifer Grey? We're not giving any love to Dirty Dancing stars??? We don't think this is going to go over too well at the judges table when Idol starts back up. Original American Idol judge Randy Jackson was on Jimmy Kimmel's show last night talking about the upcoming season. The pair started to drift into a conversation about Jennifer Lopez, but instead of praising her judging abilities, Randy went on the defense of Jennifer's singing ability. When asked to rate her on a scale to 1-10, he gave her a 7. Yeah, we agree with that. Then, Jimmy asked Randy to compare JLo to some of the other singers of the day like Britney Spears, Ke$ha and Lady GaGa. Of the latter, Randy equated them to be about EQUAL! Our response to that: WTF??? Are you serious??? We think the last decade has ruined you! You can't possibly believe that GaGa is only a point better than JLo?! What's wrong with you??? Kelly Preston appeared this morning on The Today Show, in her first interview since giving birth to son with John Travolta, Benjamin, at the age of 48, and opened up about being a mother again, going back to work, and how it's helped ease the heartbreak of losing their child, 16 year old Jett, in 2009! Check out a clip of the interview (above)! You can really tell how happy she is to have the new addition in her life! We can't even begin to imagine how devastating it must be to lose a child, so we're so thrilled to know that she and Benjamin are both healthy and doing well! Congratulations, bb! |

With reports surfacing that Hilary Duff is pregnant with her first child, the actress is finally speaking out. Turns out she's not pregnant! Tear. Star magazine had reported that a "close friend" confirmed the pregnancy news to them. But Duff reveals to Billy Bush:
