My good friend John (who is a huge Lady Gaga fan) sent me (a HUGE Britney Spears fan) this amazingly funny parody mash-up video that features Gaga and Brit in a hilarious verbal back and forth battle. I’ve already watched this damn thing 5 times in a row and I’ve been laughing my ASS off each and every time. Trust me, y’all … it’s a must see.
Be warned, there is a lot of strong NSFW language which some may find offensive but I can’t help but find RIOTOUSLY funny:
Bwahahahahahhaha. I’m not kidding … I’m in tears. I love John so much for sending me this video … I hope you enjoy it as much as I continue to ;)
It’s been a few days since we’ve checked in on Lindsay Lohan, primarily because there has been a lot of other MORE important stuff to talk about but also because — gasp — Lindsay has actually been behaving herself. Believe it or not, L. Lo has been a model citizen since she got sprung from rehab earlier this month. TMZ reports that Lindsay reported to her probation officer yesterday afternoon … just like a good girl should.
Lindsay Lohan just left the Santa Monica Courthouse, to meet with her probation officer … and she showed up on time and looking fine. Part of Lindsay’s deal is to meet with the woman who is supervising her probation for DUI, in addition to taking random drug tests. Sources say Lindsay has complied fully with her probation requirements since leaving the Betty Ford Center. So far, so good.
Could it really be true? Is it possible that Lindsay Lohan has FINALLY learned her lesson and has decided to straighten up and fly right? I’m not totally convinced yet … but this is a very good sign. I think Lindsay still has a long way to go yet but … easy does it, one day at a time, etc. etc.
I love these photos so much … I hope they keep on comin’. We all know that Spider-Man works and lives in NYC so it’s nice to see him running around in our hood here on the West Coast. Check out this video that shows some of the action from the Spider-Man reboot set:
So cool! While I’m still not 100% on board with the decision to reboot the Spider-Man film franchise, I have to admit … I’m really loving all the stuff we’re seeing from the set thus far.
Issue No. 40 is clearly setting up Season 9, and makes it seem like it is going to be far more human-scaled. It will be more like the television show. With the comic, we just sort of said, "Wheee!" Ultimately, "Wheee!" caught up with us in a cavalcade of mythology. It became clear, as it did with the show, that people really liked when Buffy's adventures reflect what she's going through in her life [and] what we're going through in our lives at that age. That was the thing in season 8 that we didn't tap into as much as I think we ultimately should have.
You did seem to touch on that idea when you, essentially, made Buffy a god with her own idyllic world, and she pretty much rejected it right off the bat. Yeah. I feel like we're true to the characters. It was just that very basic mission statement of, "You know what, I'm going through this, too." Not a lot of people are leading armies. Buffy, part of her charm is that the fact that, outside the mystical world, she was nobody. And it was interesting to put her in that power position and to play on that grand scale. But ultimately, I think the fans more enjoy her when she is the little underdog and not the little overlord.
Not that anybody who's a Buffy fan should be that shocked that you did this at this point, but Joss, you killed Giles. Yeah, I did. I did. I have several reasons for that, some of which I can't reveal because ripples from that event are going to be a part of both [the Buffy "Season 9" comic and the new Angel comic]. Part of it was really just feeling that Giles' place in the comic book did not sit the way it did in the show. To have this paternal, expositional guy there — it wasn't really something that played in the comics the way it did when Tony Head [i.e. actor Anthony Stewart Head] does it. I wanted to make all this matter and have something that would send emotional ripples through all the characters. Also, I'm a prick. But I did tell Tony it was going to happen before it did. At first he said, "Oooh," a little worried. Then I said, "Angel's gonna kill you." He said, all excited, "Oooh! That's great!" [Laughs]
You mentioned earlier about getting into a bit of trouble thanks to the freedom that comic books afforded you. But what was your favorite "We could never do this on the TV show" moment? I gotta go with giant Dawn. I loved giant Dawn so much, absolutely more than the readers, but I didn't care. The idea that Dawn becomes a giant and all the permutations of that, some of which we didn't even get to do, that was such a delight for me. It just absolutely fit in the universe. It was the right kind of problem for Dawn to have.
On the penultimate page of issue No. 40, there's a guy in John Lennon glasses who looks fairly evil. Am I right in thinking he's new? Or am I just not remembering him from season 8? He's a new guy. I can't tell you about him. But you are not wrong to say you don't remember him, because he has not appeared yet. He has yet to come.
Finally, all due respect to the amazing artists who drew the comic and did the covers, but do you ever miss having the actors to bring these stories to life? I do. Particularly, as I said before, in the case of Giles. Tony has this cool sexuality that just doesn't come on the page when he's saying, [in a British accent] "Oh, this book says blah blah blah." It's hard to capture some of the stuff that the actors bring. Tony is astonishing. I can't speak highly enough of how artist Georges Jeanty captured their likenesses, but still made it look like a comic book and not like balloon heads on hastily drawn panels. And the way he captured Buffy was really lovely. But yeah, you hear [the characters] so well, sometimes it's like they're there. It is frustrating at times. You're like, "Why can't they just be there? Let's get the whole gang back together again."
The rest of the online version of Joss‘s interview with EW can be read HERE but be sure to pick up this week’s issue to read the FULL interview. Overall, I have LOVED reading Buffy season 8 but, to be honest, I’m glad to hear that season 9 will be more like the TV series … with a lot less comic book magic. I never really got used to the idea of Buffy flying around like Superman nor did I really care for her time-traveling but each of those conventions are to be expected from comic books. I am really looking forward to seeing where the Buffyverse is headed in season 9.
Lionsgate has released the first official look at Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner in the upcoming conspiracy thriller Abduction. The film, which is directed by John Singleton, will be released in theaters on September 23, 2011. In Abduction, Lautner is playing a teenager who finds his baby photo on a missing persons website, and realizes that something is wrong and that his whole life has been a lie.
The story revolves around 18-year-old Nathan Harper (Lautner) who discovers that his entire life has been a lie, but his perilous quest to find out the truth about his birth parents makes him a target of the CIA and the Serbian Secret Service, both of which are invested in whether Nathan lives or dies.
Also starring in the film are Sigourney Weaver, Maria Bello, Jason Isaacs, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Freema Agyeman, Elisabeth Rohm, and Michael Nyqvist.
The story sounds intriguing … and totally like something that I’d be interested in seeing. It bodes very well that Sigourney Weaver stars in the film … as well as Michael Nyqvist (the lead in the original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo films). It remains to be seen if Lautner has the acting chops to hang with these impressive actors. What do y’all think of this first look at Taylor Lautner in his first post-Twilight role? Does this film sound like something YOU’D be interested in seeing?
An interesting fan-written forum post was published yesterday that makes the argument that Britney Spears has become “the new Michael Jackson” in that they are the only artists that can release albums and songs and have their music dominate the music charts without having to do much of any promotion at all. I have to say, it’s hard to argue with reasoning like that.
Here is the full text of the forum post that caught my attention, the author makes a lot of great points:
Britney Spears has spent the past week shattering records: her incredible new song "Hold It Against Me," which smuggles industrial, dubstep, and rave beats onto American radio, annihilated Mariah Carey's first-day spin record to debut with an astonishing 700 plays — only to go on to defeat Eminem for the first-week spin record, too, racking up an unprecedented 4,600 plays. The song is set to debut at a mind-blowing #16 on the pop charts, tying Madonna's "Frozen" and failing only to match Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover." But a word of caution about the "Dreamlover" record: what matters more is absolute, not relative domination: "Hold It Against Me" outdid "Dreamlover" on all of the fundamentals. "Hold It Against Me" only ranks lower because of its impressive competition ("Firework," "Grenade," "We R Who We R") — in a weak field, such as the one that "3″ faced, Britney might have even debuted in the Top 10.
Most incredibly, though: the track is set to follow "3″ to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Britney only the third artist ever — Celine Dion and Mariah Carey are the others — to have more than one #1 debut to her name — and only the second ever — besides Mariah Carey — to have two consecutive #1 debuts. (With her second single imminent and more goodwill behind her than ever, could Britney destroy this record, too?) Wow.
There is only one other artist who could have dropped a single, grant no radio interviews, no live performances, and no buzz campaign — and have it arrive to this kind of reception. His name was Michael Jackson.
This confirms that Britney's "competition" is now taking place primarily in the history books, not the charts. The new argument should be about where she ranks amongst pop legends: others in her lane include Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Madonna. Lady Gaga is in the rearview mirror, trying to outdo contemporaries like Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Ke$ha. (Compare Bad Romance's first-day spins — 180 — with California Gurls' — 200 — and Only Girl — 200.) All of these artists have been on the scene for only a few years. That Britney is even being compared to them is merely testimony to the fact that she is sublimely relevant this far into her career in a way that Celine Dion was not fifteen years into hers. The interest in Britney has not let up and shows no signs of doing so: and right now, it's for all the right reasons — her top-rate pop music and the imminent return of her legendary dancing skills.
Britney Spears has retained a mystique that other artists simply can't come close to: an intangible aura that makes people want to know what her next move is — even nearly thirteen years after her debut. She doesn't have to rely on gimmicks, she doesn't have to embark on a media blitz, and she doesn't have to "live her act" in public — indeed, her humility and down-to-earth sensibility is evident for all to see every time she goes out in some trashy weave or refuses to bother with make-up. She just doesn't care about public image — and thank God for it. She lets her work speak for itself — and it does. She smiles, places her single on iTunes — "Oh, I'll just leave this here" — and the entire pop world loses its mind. The power of Britney in that arena is like nothing since Michael Jackson. If we're going to talk comparisons, Britney's total domination should draw questions of whether she has cemented herself as being in the same ranks as Madonna and Michael Jackson yet, or whether it's going to take another five years — not whether she can outdo the latest It-Girl who only hit it big two years ago.
Britney has an uncanny ability to do whatever she wants — including losing her mind — and STILL enjoy untouchable success. The woman went on a world tour of sold out venues just a year after she was admitted into a psychiatric hospital after suffering a mental breakdown … who else could do something like that? Michael Jackson, that’s who. Altho he was never hospitalized like Britney was, he endured TWO high profile child molestation scandals and was set to play a series of sold out performances at the O2 Arena in London. While there are many differences between the two artists, there are many similarities … like, for example, chart dominance. As was predicted earlier this week, Britney‘s new single Hold It Against Me has debuted in the #1 spot on the Billboard magazine Hot 100 Singles Chart:
Britney Spears becomes just the second artist in the Billboard Hot 100′s 52-year history to debut multiple songs at No. 1, as “Hold It Against Me” blasts in at the summit. Spears previously launched at the apex with “3″ the week of Oct. 24, 2009. She joins Mariah Carey as the only acts to arrive at No. 1 more than once. Carey made such grand entrances with “Fantasy” and “One Sweet Day” in 1995 and “Honey” in 1997. (All charts will be refreshed tomorrow (Jan. 20) on Billboard.com). “Hold It Against Me” is the 18th song to debut at No. 1 and the first since Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R” the week of Nov. 13, 2010. The track is Spears’ fourth No. 1 on the Hot 100. Prior to “3,” she reigned with her debut single “…Baby One More Time” (two weeks, 1999) and “Womanizer” (one week, 2008). “Hold It Against Me” starts atop Digital Songs with 411,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. As previously reported, the sum marks the highest debut frame by a lead female artist, besting the 325,000 shifted by Taylor Swift’s “Today Was a Fairytale” the week of Feb. 6, 2010.
Living legend, y’all. In the end it may be going a bit far to call Britney the new Michael Jackson … but not by much. The girl just has that certain something that makes her a superstar. What do y’all think … is Britney Spears the new King, er Queen of Pop?
Last night I had the extreme pleasure of seeing singer/songwriter Jay Brannan live in concert for the first time and people, I gotta tell you, he was stunningly fantastic! I’ve been a fan of Jay‘s ever since his album came out but before last night, I had never seen him in concert. I heard he was playing The Roxy so I got my ticket and saved the date. Without question, his live performance was one of my fave acoustic shows of all time.
Before Jay took the stage, I got to see Our Lady J perform a warm-up set and she closed her performance with a stunning rendition of the Nine Inch Nails song Hurt — complete with a back-up CHOIR! It was so cool. You may recall I got to see Our Lady J perform a cabaret show back in 2009 so it was a nice surprise to see her as the opening act last night. Then it was time for Jay Brannan. The confessional nature of his songs reminded me of Tori Amos and his stark performance style reminded me of Ani DiFranco … but he is clearly his own man. There is a poignancy in his performance that is hard to resist. His songs are so emotionally raw, it’s impossible not to feel the emotions he is conveying in his music. To be honest, I was only expecting a good show … I was not prepared for the intense talent that he showed last night. Jay mentioned that he is recording a new album and even performed for the first time ever a new song called Greatest Hits:
Jay promised that he will be back later in the year, hopefully with his new album ready for release. If you get the chance to see Jay Brannan in concert, you MUST go. He is truly a talented performer and songwriter. Trust me, he’s amazing.
Tonight, I’ll be putting on my emo shoes to gaze at cuz I’m heading out to the Troubadour to see Dashboard Confessional in concert. Erik got me into them, I’ve never seen them live so … away I go :D
Jodie Sweetin (Full House) is 29, Dolly Parton is 65 and Michael Crawford is 69 years old today. Click HERE to see who else is celebrating a birthday today.
Here’s a fun little Hollywood story that I’m sure will entertain you a smidge this fine Wednesday afternoon. You see, Academy Award winning actor Jeremy Renner hosted a few friends at his place in celebration of his birthday a couple of weeks ago and Christina Aguilera showed up uninvited. Apparently, Xtina got a little too acquainted with the booze being offered and homegirl passed out DRUNK in poor Jeremy‘s bed. Tsk Tsk. As you can imagine, Jeremy was NOT happy about Xtina‘s sloppiness and has been sharing this little tale with folks all over town.
Finding Christina Aguilera between his sheets was hardly a dream come true for Jeremy Renner. Popping up uninvited at Renner’s 40th birthday bash on January 8, the singer, 30, got “wasted” then lay down in the star’s bed, a source tells the new Us Weekly, out Wednesday. A week later, Renner went on a rant about the incident at In Style’s Golden Globe party after seeing Aguilera at the fete. “Someone comes and tells me she’s in my room,” he told pals at the Jan. 16 affair. “I run up and open the door and I’m like, ‘Um, hi. What are you doing?’ She just starts slurring. Her boyfriend [Matthew Rutler] was rubbing her back. Who comes to someone’s birthday party that they don’t know and gets in their bed?! My parents were there!” Adds another source, “Christina was a mess at that party. She acted like a fool. Her boyfriend was shushing her and telling her to go to sleep.”
Oh Xtina … you need to check yourself, girl. Renner‘s press rep has chimed in on this story and confirms that Xtina was at Jeremy‘s party but the official party line is that Xtina “was enjoying herself, but she wasn’t in his bed”. Uh huh. I suppose it’s up to the individual to believe what they want but … I think I’m gonna believe that Xtina got wasted and passed out in the poor guy’s bed. I mean, we’ve seen Xtina get a bit tipsy while partying before … so … yeah. What do YOU believe?
Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises." She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Christopher Nolan stated, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story." In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, "I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman's most formidable enemies." Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven. "The Dark Knight Rises" is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
Um … I have mixed emotions about this. Firstly, I can’t help but remember how horribly Bane was portrayed in the atrocious Joel Schumacher-directed Batman film Batman & Robin. In that horrid flick, he was paired with Poison Ivy (played by Uma Thurman) and he essentially was turned into a joke:
Bane is actually a ruthless and feared villain and is the man responsible for breaking Batman‘s back and forcing his temporary retirement in the comic book series back in the 90′s:
Tom Hardy will be EXCELLENT as Bane, I think.
Now … on to Catwoman. Without question, Catwoman is one of my fave Batman villains of all time (actually, she is one of my fave villains period) and I have been PRAYING for her to make her debut in these Christopher Nolan-directed Batman films. That being said, I am very concerned about having Anne Hathaway play the role. I love Anne, I think she’s great … I do NOT see Catwoman when I see her … nor can I look to any of her acting performances and glean a bit of the ruthless and agile sexiness that is required of the character:
I’m gonna hafta think on this news for a bit … but … wow … this is a surprise, eh? All of this said, I have the UTMOST respect and faith in Christopher Nolan when it comes to his Batman films … so … yeah, I gotta think on this. What do YOU think of this Batman villain casting news?
PRINCE WILLIAM & KATE MIDDLETON ENGAGE IN ROYAL COMIC BOOK BIOGRAPHY
With the announcement of their impending nuptials, Prince William and Kate Middleton have captured the public imagination in much the same way the William’s parents did a generation ago. Now Bluewater Productions is publishing a behind-the-curtain look at the royal couple a new biography comic book. "Fame: The Royals" scheduled for an April 2011 release reminds readers how much of William’s life has been lived in the public eye; his birth, the tragic death of his mother Diana; his schooling, charitable work and military service. However, this issue, penned by CW Cooke ("Fame: Taylor Swift" and "Fame: Beyonce"), looks to give context to the headlines along with a fresh take on the burgeoning 8-year romance with his bride-to-be Kate Middleton. "Here you have two people trapped in a fishbowl," said Darren Davis, president of Bluewater, "As a non-royal how do you navigate in the sudden storm of fame? As someone used to the spotlight, how do you maintain a veil of privacy?" The issue, penciled and inked by Pablo Martinena ("Political Power: Bill Clinton," "Fame: David Beckham") also takes a look at the planning for the "wedding of the century." What shall Kate wear? Carriage or car? Fairy tale or modern? Where will they honeymoon? Additionally, Bluewater is publishing a special collector’s edition graphic novel of the title that features several extras not included in the standard release. Some of the planned extras include pinup posters, special illustrations of the wedding as well as a comparison with Diana and Charles’ 1981 wedding. The special edition also offers a unique double-sized cover by Martinena. "As Americans, we are fascinated by the British royals. They fit within our construct of a celebrity-fueled popular culture. But more than, that they represent an air of pomp and history that we just don’t have," Davis said. "In terms of relevance to our series, William and Kate are the embodiment of fame and people (on both sides of the Atlantic) can’t get enough of them." The special collector’s edition flip book (which will feature over forty pages), which is scheduled for a May release, will retail for $7.99 several online venues including Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble and Borders online stores. It is available for pre-order on Amazon HERE.
To make sure you get your copy, contact your local comic book store to pre-order it. To find a comic book store near you go to www.comicshoplocator.com. The standard 32-page issue retails for $3.99. It will be available at comic book retail outlets.
Altho this celebrity comic book trend is starting to teeter on the brink of tackiness, I think a comic book version of Prince William and Kate‘s story would make for a fantastic collectible. This is a comic that I’m gonna hafta pick up, but the expanded special edition version cuz that’s just how I roll. Click below to see some preview pages of this Royal comic book. Does this look like something you’d like to add to your collection?
The disc will be made available in a special 2-CD version (which features the completely remastered original album along with a bonus CD of remixes, instrumentals and live tracks) as well as a special CD/DVD version (which features the 2-CD set along with a DVD of music videos and interview footage). For me, Faith is one of those quintessential albums not only of the 80′s but of my childhood as well. I distinctly remember when Faith was released and what a profound effect George Michael (and his tight jeans) had on me. At the time, Michael was the personification of machismo and his album was chock full of smash hit singles. I recently found a copy of Faith on vinyl … but I’m thinkin’ I’m gonna need to get this remastered version as well. The 2-CD version can be preordered HERE, the CD/DVD version can be preordered HERE. Any George Michael fans in the hiz? Are YOU excited for this rerelease?
On Monday, Betty White celebrated her 89th birthday but she didn’t get the party started until she made her way to NYC yesterday to really get down to celebratin’. Betty was joined by her Hot In Cleveland co-stars — Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malik — at Le Cirque in NYC, NY last night at a massive birthday fête thrown in her honor. BUT, before she partied with the ladies, Betty got liquored up with David Letterman on national TV on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Betty and pals were on their best behavior at Le Cirque last night, with everyone in attendance lookin’ incredibly HOT and sexy:
But Betty was being quite the bad girl with David Letterman on his show earlier in the evening. Here is video of Betty and Dave swilling back bottles of vodka on The Late Show with David Letterman last night:
AWWW … I love her so much. Actually, Betty wasn’t really drinking booze … at least, not on camera ;) Here’s to 89 years of Betty White and to at least another 25 years to come!
The big announcement that music fans have been waiting for for the past few weeks has finally been released … late last night, the organizers of The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival announced the musical acts that will be performing at this year’s 3-day festival which will run April 15, 16 and 17. Kings of Leon will headline the first night, Arcade Fire will headline the second and Kanye West & The Strokes will co-headline the final, closing night.
Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, the Strokes, and Kanye West are set to headline the 2011 Coachella Festival, organizers announced last night. The bash will take place April 15-17 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California. The announcement follows weeks of rumors about potential headliners, which included the Rolling Stones, Daft Punk, and Neil Young, although none of those rumored performers are on this year’s bill. Tickets for the fest will go on sale Friday, January 21 at 1PM and will be available HERE. Coachella’s line-up is a diverse mix of indie-rock, pop, and hip-hop. Festival stalwarts the Black Keys, Interpol, the National, and Animal Collective join Cee Lo Green, Brandon Flowers, Lauryn Hill, Mumford and Sons, Bright Eyes, and Robyn in the high profile slots. Coachella 2011 also marks the return of some long dormant artists. Lauryn Hill, who has made a return with select club shows this winter, will deliver one of her biggest sets in years, while PJ Harvey and Duran Duran will each deliver closing night performances. Canadian punk duo Death From Above 1979 have also reunited and will perform on Sunday night.
The rumors about which musical acts will be playing Coachella this year were really starting to get out of hand … among the most outrageous names I heard were Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson’s ghost. Every year, Coachella does a great job of culling together a diverse group of performers … there are usually many surprises as well as a few no-brainers. BUT, as awesome as this lineup sounds, I think I shall refrain — yet again — from attending. I’m not a big concert festival fan and let’s be real here, 3 days in the desert doesn’t sound like that much fun to me. BUT, I know many people who LIVE for the annual Coachella Festival and I’m certain they are very excited to see this great lineup of folks live in concert over the 3-day weekend in April. What do y’all think of this lineup? Are any of YOU planning on going to Coachella this year?
It is indeed a son for Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom. Baby Flynn arrived on Jan. 6, weighing 9 lbs., 12 oz., says the model on her Kora Organics Web site on Tuesday, confirming widespread speculation. She also posts a photo of herself nursing “our beautiful little son.” “I gave birth to him naturally; without any pain medication and it was a long, arduous and difficult labour, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it. I could not have done it without him,” she adds. “We are so happy and are enjoying our time together as a family. He is our little ray of sunshine. Thank you everyone for your beautiful well wishes and your lovely thoughts.” Kerr and Bloom, 33, have been together since 2007 and married quietly in July 2010.
What a beautiful photo! Miranda looks radiant and Flynn looks, well, he looks really happy :D Despite the fact that Miranda and Orlando remained completely silent in the wake of news of their son’s birth, it was widely believed by all that the baby was born on January 6 … so now, at last, we have official confirmation. Here is the full text of Miranda and Orlando‘s official statement:
On the 6th of January I gave birth to our beautiful little son Flynn. We cherish him. He weighed 9lb 12 ounces (a very healthy and big baby boy). I gave birth to him naturally; without drugs or painkillers and it was a long, arduous and difficult labour, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it. I could not have done it without him.
Thank you everyone for your beautiful well wishes and your lovely thoughts and comments. I haven't had a lot of time to read many comments or to respond, but please know I will when I do get a chance.
The attached picture is one that Orlando took of us.
Much love Miranda and Orlando

Let’s send all of our love and congrats to the happy and newly expanded family!! Welcome to the World, Flynn!
Congratulations are, reportedly, in order for happily-marrieds Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie because according to a new report out today, the couple are PREGS with their first child! Now, before you start passing around the cigars, I have to make clear that there is only one media outlet reporting the news (HMMMM) and that sole media outlet is Star magazine (Erm …) so I suggest y’all take this happy news with a grain of salt ;)
We watched Hilary Duff grow up on Lizzie McGuire. Now a newlywed, she's expecting a baby of her own, Star can exclusively report. In the Jan. 31 issue of Star, on sale today, we report that the actress and her NHL hockey star hubby, Mike Comrie, are gearing up to be first-time parents with Hilary about seven weeks pregnant. "They weren't actively trying to conceive but agreed that if it happened, it happened," her close friend tells Star. How are they feeling about the surprise? "They're ecstatic," the pal adds. Hilary, whose first book, Elixir, made it to the New York Times Best-Seller List, married the Pittsburgh Penguins center in Santa Barbara, Calif., in August. She’s been very candid about wanting to start a family, recently saying they were “excited” about having little ones of their own, especially because Mike comes from “a really big family.”
If you consider how many other celebs have been announcing pregnancies lately, this news would really come as no surprise … but, we still have to wait for official confirmation from the couple before I get totally excited. I have to admit, it’s a bit weird for me to imaging Hilary Duff pregs but she is a married woman with a hot hockey-playin’ husband and, well, I can see how the couple might want to get started on a family of their own. For now, let’s send out tentative congrats to Hil. D and Mike … I am really hoping that this pregs report turns out to be true :D
UPDATE: Boo. Hilary Duff has just posted a message on her official Twitter profile denying that she is pregs ;( She tweets:
Wow what a way to wake up and find out your pregs! It’s just a rumor guys! Not true. But thanks for all the good wishes! Lol
Well, I guess that settles that … ah well. Mebbe we’ll be celebrating happy pregnancy news from Hil D. in the near future?
